Chapter 339 - How Many Doctor Stranges Died in Wanda's Family Quest?

Many superheroes are willing to die to protect the world, but there are limits to that.

Especially when it escalates to the level of the timeline. The cost of preserving others is paid with countless lives across one's own timeline.

No one wants to fail.

Of course, this has little to do with them, as they would likely never live to fight in the Time War. Those battles take place in the later stages of the timeline; as beings from the timeline's upstream, they would never reach that point.

However, perhaps Thor, as a god, and Lin Feng might be able to witness the wars in the timeline's downstream. As for the others, they can basically forget about it. It has nothing to do with them.

But Tony Stark's explanation undoubtedly offered a completely new perspective.

Interpreting it from this angle felt like a sudden moment of clarity.

At the same time, it also explained why this diary existed and why such an incredible thing could even be possible.

Although there isn't much more data to support this theory yet, it's still a brand-new solution.

After everyone had dispersed, Tony Stark sat in silence for a long time. He looked at the files on Lin Feng and, for a moment, didn't know if his efforts were even meaningful.

Although the Anti-Patriot Armor recorded in the files might never be used in his lifetime, he still felt it was necessary to have a safeguard.

But Lin Feng's growth was simply too fast—so fast that Tony couldn't even keep up with updating the files. Now Lin Feng had become a god. What was he supposed to do?

The current Anti-Patriot Armor could only deal with the earliest 1.0 version of Lin Feng—the one who had just been injected with the Super Soldier Serum. Back then, he was still within the range of a normal human.

But after that, he stopped being human altogether.

The materials Tony had prepared were now largely useless.

After a moment, Tony Stark said, "JARVIS, update Lin Feng's file. Add that he's a god and fully assess the potential consequences."

"Yes, sir!"

Tony Stark sighed. He knew that his efforts were a mere drop in the bucket against containing Lin Feng, and that he might never even use them. But even so, he refused to give up.

The scorching sun hung high in the sky as Lin Feng walked down the street. Suddenly, he sensed something and looked up to see the air violently rippling—space itself was fracturing and collapsing.

In that instant, he caught a glimpse of a familiar figure: Doctor Strange.

*No, that's not right,* he thought. *He shouldn't have become Doctor Strange yet at this point in time.*

But he had clearly seen him, along with a girl—America.

This meant it wasn't the Doctor Strange from their own timeline, but the one from the Sacred Timeline, specifically from the events of *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*.

During their chase by Wanda, they had traversed multiple universes. Who would have thought they would end up in this particular universe, at this exact moment?

*Has the timeline progressed to this stage already?*

If so, the Wanda from the Sacred Timeline must be completely consumed by madness by now.

Unfortunately, the entire event flashed by in an instant. Hardly anyone noticed the spatial anomaly.

Yet, someone did—Tony Stark. He had been engrossed in a research project when J.A.R.V.I.S. suddenly interrupted.

"Sir, the spatial fluctuation monitoring satellite has detected an anomaly. This is the footage of the event..." J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice announced as he projected the recording for Tony Stark.

Tony Stark clearly saw Doctor Strange and a little girl in the slow-motion footage.

"Something's wrong. According to our estimates, Doctor Strange shouldn't have embarked on his magical journey yet. J.A.R.V.I.S., where is our Strange right now?" Tony Stark asked.

"Based on the current information, he is still on duty at the hospital," J.A.R.V.I.S. replied.

"So that means this Doctor Strange isn't the one from our timeline?" Tony Stark said.

"Correct, sir!" J.A.R.V.I.S. confirmed.

"Another Doctor Strange..." A wave of crisis surged through Tony Stark. In his mind, Doctor Strange was far more dangerous than Lin Feng.

From the contents of Lin Feng's diary, he knew that Doctor Strange could casually destroy entire timelines, wipe out the whole universe, and cause the Multiverse to open.

*This* was the true danger!

Just then, he sensed the diary had updated and quickly put on his equipment to start an online meeting.

"What's going on? It's the middle of the day, and this is pretty sudden," Hawkeye Barton said.

He had just been teaching his daughter archery, hoping to train her as a little Hawkeye, but now he had to log on so suddenly. His rare day off was ruined.

"Take a look at this," Tony Stark said, projecting the satellite footage captured by J.A.R.V.I.S. for everyone to see.

"Stephen Strange from another universe?" Wonder Woman Diana asked.

She immediately realized that the Stephen Strange in their own universe hadn't even become a sorcerer yet, let alone learned to travel through time and space.

"He seems to be traveling through the Multiverse, but his destination doesn't appear to be our universe," Black Widow Natasha said.

After years of Lin Feng's relentless diary entries, everyone had become well-acquainted with the concept of the Multiverse.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Without a doubt, whatever he was involved in that required traveling between universes must be a major event, and it would likely cause a lot of trouble if it ever reached them.

"But this also means that people from other universes could potentially come here. That's why I launched the spatial fluctuation detection satellites," Tony Stark explained.

Everyone nodded. With this concrete evidence, Tony Stark's actions seemed even more farsighted.

They no longer dared to say he was just worrying needlessly.

Only then did they remember to check today's updated diary. According to the usual pattern, updates during the day usually meant something big was happening.

[A major event! I never expected to see Doctor Strange and America from the Sacred Timeline, especially the scene of them traversing universes. I have to admit, it was quite thrilling.

But what else could they do? They were being relentlessly hunted by Wanda!

In her "Wanda's Family Quest" state, her magical potential and power are boosted by 10,000%. Doctor Strange is lucky he could even run away, or he would have died. After all, at this stage, she has firmly reached the Heavenly Father level. Beating Doctor Strange should be a piece of cake for her, right?

Wanda's Family Quest also proves one thing: women are inherently weak, but they become strong for their children. However, if she's not allowed to be strong, she can also go mad.

A mad Wanda is the true Scarlet Witch!

If Doctor Strange didn't have his protagonist's plot armor, it's uncertain who would have won.]

Seeing the contents of the diary, Wanda was dumbfounded. *This has something to do with me?*

*I'm hunting Doctor Strange?*

*That can't be right. We're supposed to be allies.*

She couldn't wrap her head around it.

"The phrase 'a mother's strength'—don't tell me it's referring to those two kids of yours," Quicksilver Pietro said, looking at his sister with a strange expression.

*My sister is still a virgin, so how did she suddenly have two kids? Does that even make sense?*

"My... kids?" Wanda said, her voice filled with disbelief.

This all seemed too far-fetched for her to grasp.

"Heavenly Father level, Wanda. Lin Feng means you have the potential and the ability to reach that level," Tony Stark immediately interjected. "In other words, if you can fully unleash the energy within you, you'll have a chance to ascend to the Heavenly Father level. Then we'll actually have a fighting chance against Thanos."

Everyone turned to look at Wanda. Her face flushed crimson, and she fidgeted awkwardly, unsure of what to do or say.

But a faint sense of dread washed over her. *If Doctor Strange is the protagonist in this scenario, does that mean I've been corrupted into the villain?*

Quicksilver Pietro also thought of this, and his gaze at Wanda carried a hint of worry. His sister, in the future without him, with her robot husband dead and her children gone, could she have... gone mad?

Judging by Lin Feng's teasing in the diary, this was highly possible.

[May I ask, in *Wanda's Family Quest*, how many Doctor Stranges died in total? Hahahaha, this isn't *Doctor Strange 2* or *Wanda's Family Quest* anymore, it's *Doctor Strange's Day of Suffering*!]

Everyone was left speechless by this joke.

"How many of me died in total?"

At this moment, Stephen Strange also opened the diary. He found a secluded spot to read today's entry.

The future me?

The me on the Sacred Timeline?

For a moment, his mind was filled with question marks.

Just then, a video appeared below. He quickly tapped to open it.

In the video, he saw himself—with his hair tied in a small ponytail—running through the shattered fragments of a cosmic void. Behind him, a terrifying monster was relentlessly pursuing him.

He was sprinting frantically across the disjointed paths, accompanied by a young girl.

"That's not me," Stephen Strange shook his head. He felt it couldn't be him—he never had a habit of wearing his hair in a ponytail.

But now, of course, he understood the concept of the Multiverse. This must be a variant of himself from another universe. What met his eyes was a bizarre world, resembling fragments of some other reality, yet also like a post-apocalyptic planet unlike any he had ever seen.

Everything was unfolding, revealing an extraordinary world.
