Chapter 341 - A Brand New Earth-838!

Lin Feng had always spoken of Wanda's immense potential, a fact everyone was well aware of. But no one ever imagined she could become *this* powerful.

Even setting aside her descent into darkness, the sheer terror of her easily killing a Doctor Strange—driving him to a point of absolute desperation—was staggering.

Everyone knew Doctor Strange's strength. He was one of the Avengers' most formidable members, boasting the glorious feat of forcing Dormammu, Lord of the Dark Dimension, to retreat.

And yet, he had been driven to such a state?

The group was utterly shocked.

"Look at the graying hair at Doctor Strange's temples," Nick Fury analyzed. "This must be long after the Blip. By then, Wanda had already become incredibly powerful, even capable of effortlessly killing Doctor Strange... the new Sorcerer Supreme!"

Lin Feng had repeatedly mentioned in his diary that Wanda had "slaughtered her way through the Multiverse." Before, they hadn't fully understood what that meant. Now, it seemed they were starting to. She had truly crossed into other universes, even killing the Doctor Strange of another world. Her combat power was truly terrifying.

She had achieved all this without even appearing in person. How terrifying a force she would be if her true self were to act.

Lin Feng had truly torn through the Multiverse, leaving no room for doubt.

And this seemed to be only the beginning of Wanda's slaughter of Doctor Strange.

The scene shifted to Doctor Strange waking up from unconsciousness.

He was handcuffed. The little girl, America, who had been with him, had already awakened and was now tapping on the transparent prison glass.

Seeing Doctor Strange awake, she complained, "This universe sucks!"

The people in S.H.I.E.L.D. immediately picked up on her words. This universe? Could this little girl be some kind of superhero who also understood the concept of the Multiverse?

In other words, did they know less about the Multiverse than a child?

And clearly, this Doctor Strange was not the one with the ponytail—that one was definitely dead.

So what exactly happened in the middle?

How did this little girl, America, find *another* Doctor Strange?

According to their predictions, this Doctor Strange was very likely the one from the main timeline—the one who was actually meant to be the protagonist.

By now, the crowd had processed what had just happened. They realized that not every Doctor Strange could become the protagonist. The ones who weren't protagonists did things that were far more extreme and died much faster.

There was a sense of shared sorrow, a feeling of "when the rabbit dies, the fox mourns." After all, none of them were the "true" protagonists either. There was no Time Variance Authority from the Sacred Timeline to reverse events that were unfavorable to them. It wouldn't be surprising if they were hit by a truck tomorrow.

"Where's my cloak?" Doctor Strange immediately noticed that his cloak had vanished.

He tried to use a spell to break his shackles, but quickly discovered that his magic was being suppressed by them.

Without his spells, his magical power, or even his cloak, he had become nothing more than an ordinary human.

But he soon noticed there were many guards around. He called out to one of them, "Hey, white-robe guy! Where is this place?"

"I don't know who you are or what you're trying to do, but this kind of situation... usually isn't very good for an anonymous scientist!" Before Doctor Strange could finish, he was interrupted as a woman turned around.

He froze in shock. Even the Stephen Strange watching from outside the screen wore the same stunned expression. Because this woman was none other than their lover, Christine.

The woman most Doctor Stranges loved with all their hearts.

"Hello, Stephen!" Christine, however, seemed completely unfazed by all this and greeted them warmly.

"Miss Chavez, I can answer your questions. This is a high-security research facility..." Christine explained to the two of them. "The two of you, plus your sentient Cloak, are here for surveillance and testing!"

"Testing?" Doctor Strange said, his voice laced with disbelief.

What?

He needed to be tested?

Especially by someone he knew so well, Christine.

*Well, perhaps this wasn't the Christine from his universe. But they weren't strangers, after all. Judging by the way she greeted him, they were likely friends in this timeline too?*

"Yes, you are visitors from another universe!" Christine stated matter-of-factly. "Your magnetic signatures might be radioactive, and you might have diseases we can't treat. That's why we're using these beautiful polycarbonate fish tanks!"

"So, should I be thanking you?" Doctor Strange asked, his expression a mix of helplessness and resignation.

Meanwhile, the audience outside the screen exchanged glances. They knew Lin Feng came from another universe, completely unrelated to their own Multiverse, which explained why he knew so much about their world.

But to find someone *within* this Multiverse who also knew about other parallel universes was truly remarkable.

The audience immediately focused, listening intently. The knowledge from this parallel universe was extraordinary. While their technology might not have been more advanced, they had clearly unlocked the gateway to the Multiverse long ago and developed countermeasures—something the audience's own world desperately lacked.

Even in their universe, fighting aliens was a rare occurrence.

According to the original timeline, the general public would only have learned about aliens' existence last year. The Multiverse was even more of a conceptual idea.

Yet in this universe, everyone seemed to be well aware of the Multiverse, accepting it without a shred of doubt.

*The Multiverse? Traveling between universes?*

The thought flashed through Tony Stark's mind, but even for a super-genius like him, just thinking about it made his head ache. He couldn't even conceive of a method to travel between universes.

Currently, research on the Multiverse on Earth was still in the theoretical deduction stage. It was hard to say if the theories were even correct.

As for visitors from other universes, they already had a few. Lin Feng and Wonder Woman Diana were confirmed cases, and there might be others they weren't aware of.

Now, they could learn from this universe's approach.

"Yes, I developed this using one of 838 Strange's magical relics—the Nishanti Sand!" Christine explained.

"838 Strange?" Doctor Strange couldn't help but speak up.

*What? They've started numbering us?*

*This is getting ridiculous!*

Outside the screen, Stephen Strange also found the whole situation bizarre. He had always been unique, but now? He was being numbered like cattle.

*If that's the case, what number am I?*

"838 Strange... is that a robot version of me, or what?" Doctor Strange asked, still struggling to process it.

*What kind of nonsense is this?*

"Our universe is 838!" Christine glanced at him and explained. "And your universe is Earth-616!"

"Oh, you must be very knowledgeable about the Multiverse," Doctor Strange remarked, his tone a mix of mockery and resignation. "Someone actually took the time to name every single reality!"

"Yes," Christine nodded, her tone equally blunt.

"Wait, this isn't the Stephen from our universe, is it? After all, isn't our universe called Earth-1999999?" Hawkeye Barton immediately realized something was wrong. He remembered Lin Feng writing in his diary that their universe was *not* Earth-1999999.

Or rather, Lin Feng had said the universe on the Sacred Timeline was Earth-1999999, and this Doctor Strange should have come from that universe. How could their designations be different?

"It's perfectly normal. I think we might have gotten things mixed up. The universe where Lin Feng is located calls us Earth-1999999, while the Multiverse—the one identical to ours—calls us Earth-616," Black Widow Natasha explained. "So they aren't actually the same thing, which is why the designations are different. For all we know, someone might have even given Lin Feng's universe its own designation."

"But what does that even mean? We have two designations now?" Hawkeye Barton couldn't help but complain.

"Yes, we have two designations. Earth-616 is the designation given to us by the people from Earth-838, and we can give them a designation too," Black Widow Natasha said.

"I think everyone's got it a bit wrong," Bruce Banner interjected. "Whether it's Universe-199999 or Earth-616, those are both universes on the so-called Sacred Timeline. We're not part of that."

The group finally remembered: they weren't the versions of themselves from the Sacred Timeline. They were from a parallel universe that existed completely independently of those other realities.

As they continued watching, the Christine on the screen introduced herself: "Yes, that's right. I'm a senior researcher at the Barstow Foundation, specializing in Multiverse studies!"

Seeing this Christine introduce herself so confidently, Doctor Strange felt a strange sensation. He had just attended his own Christine's wedding not long ago, yet here he was again, meeting a completely different version of her.

His Christine was a doctor, but in this universe, she was a Multiverse researcher.

*The world truly is a strange place,* he thought.
