Several days later.
Downstairs from the Mouri Detective Agency.
"Do we really have to drive that far to play?" Tsuneo looked at Uncle Mouri, his face showing confusion.
"Of course! Didn't you see I even rented a car specifically?" Uncle Mouri said cheerfully, putting his fishing gear into the trunk.
This uncle rarely gets so enthusiastic about taking family and friends out to play…
"Is he going to ask me for something?" Tsuneo asked, looking down at someone.
Why was he invited to this kind of activity?
Conan, seeing Uncle already in the driver's seat, said, "Didn't you find someone to repair a videotape for him last time?"
"Was that thing that important…?" Tsuneo tilted his head, trying to recall, but couldn't remember anything specific.
He had repaired too many things.
"As long as it's related to Yoko Okino, you're his savior," Conan said with a helpless smile.
…
"Oh no, I bit my tongue!" Uncle Mouri, holding the steering wheel with one hand and covering his mouth with the other, cried out in pain indistinctly.
Tsuneo sat in the passenger seat, tightly gripping the handrail.
Ignoring perfectly good roads, this uncle insisted on taking some small path, bouncing them to death.
Conan in the back seat couldn't sit still, tumbling around until Ran caught him in her arms, saving his life.
"Dad, is this road really okay???" Ran's voice trembled.
To call it a road was an overstatement; it was more like cultivated land, full of bumps and ditches.
"Hahahaha, of course it's fine! This time I'm taking you to a very remote place to play, so a road like this is completely normal, haha~" Uncle Mouri said, his expression unchanged, laughing.
He chose this road, no matter how difficult, he had to go through with it!
"We'll be there soon!" After a bumpy dirt road, Uncle Mouri made a sharp turn and finally drove the car onto a paved road.
"But, Dad, that road back there seemed to be blocked?" Ran looked back and saw a notice board with some writing, but couldn't make it out clearly.
"More than that, I'm more concerned if this car will break down…" Tsuneo looked down at the handrail in his hand.
How did I manage to pull this thing off…
"!!!" Uncle Mouri turned to glance at the mechanic in the passenger seat, realizing he had actually damaged his rented car!
"I'll fix it," Tsuneo coughed dryly.
He did this for a living; no need to worry.
"Speaking of which, Uncle, you wouldn't have taken the wrong route, would you?" Conan, who had been severely bounced around and had a large bump on his head, poked his head between the front seats, asking with a speechless expression.
That dirt road, by no means, looked like it was meant for cars.
"Oh!"
"There's an archery range here!" Uncle Mouri completely ignored the kid behind him, looking at a passing road sign on the left, and said excitedly.
"Sure enough, I knew it…" Ran knew her dad had definitely taken the wrong road when he changed the subject…
"Ah!"
Suddenly, a scream came from the archery range on the left.
Tsuneo turned to look; an arrow was flying towards them at an extremely fast speed.
"Look out!" Conan also turned his big head and shouted.
Uncle Mouri, filled with horror, slammed on the brakes, stopping the car in place.
This arrow was shot diagonally, less than twenty centimeters from his head. Fortunately, the mechanic caught it midway.
"That was really dangerous," Tsuneo held the arrow in his hand, glancing at Conan in the back seat.
Could it be that this God of Death was finally starting to target his own people?
"I'm sorry!"
The female archer who shot the arrow ran over from a distance, shouting.
Her voice was somewhat hoarse from nervousness and fear.
"It's all my fault for not shooting well, are you all hurt?!" The woman, with shoulder-length wavy brown hair and sunglasses, quickly ran to the car.
"Your strength isn't enough. To kill this person, you're far from it."
Tsuneo held the arrow in his hand, tilted his head, and looked at the still-shaken Uncle Mouri, saying with a smile.
This person is not that easy to kill!
"Why do you have to kill me?!" Uncle Mouri's temper couldn't be suppressed. He took the arrow from Tsuneo's hand, got out of the car, and prepared to have a serious talk with her.
If it weren't for this person sitting in the passenger seat, he would have lost his life today.
"What exactly are you doing?!" Uncle Mouri looked very angry.
"Could it be, you are the famous detective, Mr. Kogoro Mouri?" The woman took off her sunglasses, looked closely, and with a smile, recognized someone.
Tsuneo tilted his head and looked at her appearance, knowing someone was about to be swayed…
"Ye-yes, you recognized me," Uncle Mouri, being recognized by the rather pretty woman in front of him, immediately had half his anger dissipate, even chuckling twice.
"Mr. Mouri, are you also going to that villa?" The woman, who looked to be in her early thirties with exquisite makeup, handed the arrow over the car, asking curiously.
"What, you live there too?" Uncle Mouri asked, passing the arrow over the car.
"Yes," the woman nodded, then said, "Now you two Great Detectives will also have a chance to meet."
"Great Detectives?" Ran and Conan, in the back seat, exchanged glances.
"Are you talking about this kid?" Uncle Mouri asked, pointing at someone in the passenger seat.
A chance to meet?
That sounded a bit awkward, he didn't know what it meant.
"?" The woman looked confused, couldn't help but lean over, and looked at the young man in the passenger seat again.
"Hello," Tsuneo showed a professional smile.
"You, aren't you the one who was in the newspaper a few days ago?!" Noe Tanikawa looked surprised, her expression seemingly even happier than when she met the Sleeping Detective.
"Uh…" Uncle Mouri, seeing the two chatting enthusiastically, scratched his head in confusion.
Why is her attitude towards me different from just now…
Damn it, if only I were twenty years younger!
…
A few minutes later, the woman named Noe Tanikawa left, and everyone got back into the car.
"Managers and such are mostly liars; don't fall for it," Uncle Mouri said, squinting at Tsuneo.
You think she wants to promote your debut? Wrong!
You can't imagine her true motive!
"Does Uncle also want to act and become a star?" Conan once again poked his dog-like head between the seats.
It must be said, his smile was immensely punchable…
This time, Uncle Mouri didn't humor him and delivered a righteous iron fist.
"Satisfied!"
Tsuneo, seeing Conan get hit, felt much better for some reason. He casually threw the business card out the car window.
