(Solace's POV)
South Courtyard
We were moving towards the cafeteria, which was in the middle of the stronghold.
If we encountered Beasts,
Vivi and Lily were fighting the layer 1 beasts, and the layer 2 were handled by Instructor Veyra.
Everyone was injured. Nolan had woken up but was heavily injured, and Phoebe's and Lex's wounds were healing quite fast because of their Threads.
Nolan's mother was beside me and hadn't spoken a single word to Nolan.
'I think the reality has yet to settle in.'
On the other hand, I was heavily injured, being so close to the beast. Many flakes burned through my skin.
In front was the instructor, on the sides were Vivi and Lily, in the rear were Phoebe, Lex, and Nolan, and in the middle was Nolan's Mom and me.
We stopped a few times to deal with a large swarm, but kept moving forward.
No one said a word.
The air was heavy, but before I could break the Ice a loud noise resounded across the stronghold.

Each time the ground trembled.
And there we saw it, our hope being destroyed.
A White Behemoth killing and crushing left behind students and screaming soldiers.
Across a wide spread ground, we saw a cafeteria in rubble littered with blood, tooth, and nail.
Then, slowly Instructor turned towards us and said in a grim voice.
"The Gate has been closed."
The panic set in the cohort. Even lex who was prideful, asked in a confused manner,
"How?? W-Why did they leave??"
"Its not that they left, they were forced to. The beasts ran through."
"Then what about us?? What do we do now?" Nolan asked
"We'll use my gate, But It will only lead us to the Dirt path of the forest. We have to survive the night, then we'll have a chance tomorrow. But remember I only have two chances."
"Why are you telling this now? Why couldn't you use this before?" Lex asked enraged
"I couldn't. The forest wasn't safe then. But now that the Beasts have entered the walls, Forest is relatively safe." She explained
She looked at everyone, probing for an answer.
Everyone slowly nodded.
She gulped, and again, sigils formed on the ground, and a bluish-white gate appeared.
"Everyone Hold Hands, and Enter simultaneously."
I immediately locked hands with Nolan's mother and Instructor,
With everyone ready, we entered the gate, and a bluish white light swallowed us.
But something went wrong.
