Jack POV
We stood in the middle of nowhere, just empty land stretching out under the Texas sky. Lex had already made the announcement, broadcasting to the world that we had Superwoman and calling out Mazahs.
The trap was set.
Everyone was here, but only Lex, Superman, Wonder Woman, and I stood out in the open. The others stayed hidden, waiting for the signal. Smart. No need to show all our cards at once.
I rolled my shoulders, loosening up.
This might actually be fun.
"Do you really need to stretch after what you showed earlier?" Superman asked, glancing at me. "I don't think this guy's going to give you much of a challenge."
I let out a small chuckle. "First rule, never underestimate your enemy. Doesn't matter how strong you are, they can still surprise you."
I cracked my neck, feeling the tension settle into something sharp and ready.
"Second… if this guy really has the power of multiple gods, then yeah, this might actually be worth my time," I smirked. "I mean, come on. Fighting someone with the power of six gods? That's gotta be interesting. Way more interesting than taking on a God of Destruction."
Silence.
I glanced over and saw all three of them staring at me.
Yeah… that probably sounded crazier out loud than it did in my head.
"You fought a God of Destruction?" Wonder Woman asked, her voice edged with genuine amazement.
"Yeah. Two, actually." I shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. "Even fought an angel once… couldn't win that one, though."
"Hold on," Superman cut in, narrowing his eyes. "You're saying you beat Gods of Destruction?"
"Not at the same time," I said, scratching the back of my head. "There were rules against that. Fought them one-on-one. Funny part? They were twins."
There was a brief pause, just long enough for that to sink in.
"Alright, I've gotta ask," Guy Gardner's voice came through my earpiece. "How strong are you at your limit, Warrior?"
I tilted my head, thinking it over. "Depends. Base form… or transformed?"
"Transformed?" Lex repeated, immediately locking onto that.
I glanced at them. "You all know I'm half Kryptonian. The other half… is something called a Saiyan."
That got their attention.
"Saiyans have a unique ability, we can transform, push our power to higher levels. There are stages to it." I started counting them off casually. "First is Super Saiyan. Then Super Saiyan 2, 3… and 4, which I created myself."
I could feel their eyes on me, but I kept going.
"After that, there's something beyond it, Super Saiyan God. As the name says, it gives you the power of a god. Then I stack that with Super Saiyan and get Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan… or Super Saiyan Blue."
I paused for a second, then smirked slightly.
"And even that's not my limit. I've got another form, mixes my rage with my godly power. I call it Super Saiyan Kryptonian God… or just Super Saiyan Rage."
Silence again.
"In that form?" I added, almost casually, "I can wipe out an entire galaxy in a few hours. Give or take."
I finished as I'd just explained the weather.
"An entire galaxy?" Guy scoffed, though there was a hint of unease creeping into his voice. "Yeah, I'm calling bullshit. Nothing's that strong, and I've never even heard of Saiyans."
"That's because, like Kryptonians, they're extinct," I said evenly. "I'm the last Saiyan alive."
"You are…" Superman murmured, something heavy in his tone.
I glanced at him. "Yeah. But don't mourn them. A lot of Saiyans weren't good people. Honestly, the galaxy's better off without them."
Wonder Woman frowned. "How can you say that? They were still your people."
I shook my head. "We shared blood. That's it. Most of them were ruthless conquerors who wiped out entire planets without a second thought. They'd even send their own children to do it. That's not a culture worth defending."
The air went quiet after that.
"You truly believe your entire race was evil?" Martian Manhunter asked, his voice calm, searching. "None capable of good… like you?"
I paused.
For a moment, faces flashed through my mind, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan… and Goten.
I exhaled.
"I never said that," I admitted. "There were good ones. Just… not many."
My gaze drifted for a second before I brought it back.
"And I wasn't always good either," I added quietly
I was talking about my old life. I wasn't always the best guy. If I hadn't gone to Dragon Ball and learned how to control my instincts, I don't know what would have happened.
The conversation cut off the second thunder cracked across the sky.
All of us turned at once. In the distance, lightning split the clouds, and with my enhanced vision, I caught sight of him.
Mazahs.
And he didn't come alone.
An army dropped in behind him, rows of warriors in Amazonian armor, weapons gleaming, disciplined, deadly. It looked like he'd dragged an entire island to war.
"Please tell me I'm seeing things," Track Star's voice came through the comms, tight with panic. "Please tell me those aren't Amazons. I already told y'all, I'm not fighting them."
I didn't take my eyes off the sky. "Would you believe me if I said they're just really dedicated cosplayers?"
"FUCK!"
"Yeah… didn't think so."
Mazahs and his army landed a few meters in front of us, the ground trembling under the impact. The others stayed hidden, but I could tell, he knew. A guy like him doesn't walk into a trap blind.
His eyes swept over us, Superman, Wonder Woman, me, then locked onto Lex.
"Brother," he said calmly.
Lex started to speak, but Mazahs raised a hand, cutting him off instantly.
"I think it's best if you don't," he said, voice sharp. "If you so much as say my name, my Amazons will tear you all apart."
Lex shut his mouth without hesitation.
Smart.
Mazahs stepped forward slightly, posture relaxed but coiled with power. "This is simple. Release Superwoman to me… and we leave."
I let out a quiet breath, unimpressed. "You leave, and go plan your next attack? Maybe aim for civilians?"
His gaze snapped to me.
"We will return to Demon Island and remain there," he said. "You won't have to concern yourselves with us again."
I tilted my head. "Yeah… I don't think that's what Superwoman wants."
Mazahs didn't even hesitate. "She'll accept it."
There was a pause, then his eyes narrowed slightly.
"After all… you've proven you're strong enough to make demands."
"I'm the strongest one on the planet," I said, cracking my knuckles. "Tell me, what's stopping me from beating the hell out of you and throwing you in a cell right next to Superwoman?"
Mazahs didn't flinch. "I doubt you can take all of us."
I smirked. "You'd be surprised." My eyes flicked over the army behind him. "But I am curious, how exactly did you convince Amazons, of all people, to follow you? They're not exactly known for taking orders from men."
"Simple," he said. "I challenged their leader to a fight to the death. I won. They follow strength."
"Yeah… strength," I repeated, narrowing my eyes. "Figures. Especially with that prophecy hanging over all this."
"Prophecy?" he questioned.
I waved it off. "Doesn't matter."
I stepped forward slightly, letting the air shift with me. "Here's what's actually going to happen. I beat you down, lock you up, take you back to my Earth… and my brother strips you of your power."
His expression hardened instantly. "No one can take my power."
"I'm pretty sure he can," I said flatly. "Your abilities aren't that complicated. He got similar abilities and another God's, power boosting his and a brain full of magic knowledge. If you ever challenged him, you wouldn't last."
That hit a nerve.
"Enough," Mazahs snapped, lightning beginning to crawl across his body. "Give me Superwoman, or we tear you all apart, including those friends of yours who think they're hiding."
I exhaled through my nose. "Worth a shot."
Right on cue, the others stepped out from their hiding spots, closing in behind us.
"Alright, here's the funny part," I said, rolling my shoulders. "We didn't actually bring her. Didn't expect you to show up with an Amazon army. So let's skip the talking and get straight to the fight."
Mazahs' eyes glowed, electricity crackling harder around him. "You think you can stand against a god?"
I grinned.
"Oh, you think you're a god?" I said, my voice dropping. "Let me show you what one actually looks like."
I pulled in a breath, and then let it rip.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Power exploded out of me, ripping across the ground and blasting everything nearby back. The air warped, the earth trembled, and the sky itself seemed to recoil as my energy surged.
In an instant, I transformed.
My hair burned crimson, my aura igniting like divine fire, calm, controlled, but overwhelmingly powerful.
The clouds above vanished, blown apart by sheer force. The ground beneath us cracked, trembling under the pressure.
Silence followed.
And every single person there, friend and enemy alike, stared at me in shock.
"I like to think I'm merciful," I said, a sharp grin spreading across my face. "So surrender now… and I won't break anything important."
Mazahs shook off his shock fast, anger taking over. "Kill them all," he ordered coldly. "Everyone except my brother. He'll tell me where Superwoman is."
The Amazons moved instantly.
Didn't matter.
I shot forward, a red blur cutting through the battlefield, swatting aside anyone dumb enough to step into my path. Shields shattered, weapons flew, none of them could slow me down.
Mazahs barely had time to react before my hand clamped around his throat.
Lightning exploded off his body, trying to force me back.
It didn't do a damn thing.
I tightened my grip, then rocketed upward, dragging him with me as the ground vanished beneath us. The wind screamed past, the battlefield shrinking into nothing.
When we were high enough, I hurled him even higher.
Straight into the sky.
Mazahs caught himself mid-air, stopping his ascent like he hit an invisible wall. He recovered fast, faster than most, but not fast enough.
A massive bolt of lightning tore toward me.
I didn't even bother dodging.
I raised a hand and fired a blast straight through it, my energy ripping his attack apart like it was nothing. The leftover force slammed into him, burning across his arm.
Before he could react, I vanished. I reappeared right in front of him and cracked him across the face, then I did it again, and again, and again.
Each hit sent him flying in a different direction, my teleportation snapping me back on top of him every time before he could recover. The sky lit up with shockwaves, each impact booming loud enough to shake the air itself.
If anyone was close enough, they'd feel it.
Mazahs fought back, he wasn't weak. Punches, lightning, fire, even ice, he threw everything he had at me.
None of it worked.
I tanked every hit and kept going.
When I finally saw the moment, when his movements slowed just enough, I teleported above him and drove my hand down in a brutal slap across his face. The impact sent him crashing toward the ground like a meteor.
He hit hard.
The earth shattered beneath him, a massive crater forming as debris blasted outward. I dropped down after him, landing softly beside the wreckage.
Mazahs lay there, barely conscious, forcing himself onto his back just to look up at me.
"I warned you," I said calmly.
His face was wrecked, bruised, bloodied. One eye swollen completely shut. Teeth missing. His jaw looked shattered.
He tried to speak, but nothing came out right.
"You should just give up," I added. "Nothing you do is going to work."
That only made him angrier.
With everything he had left, he forced out a single word.
"Mazahs!"
Lightning slammed down from the sky, engulfing both of us in a blinding flash.
I barely felt it. It singed my clothes. That was about it.
Mazahs, on the other hand, his body restored itself, snapping back into his human form, injuries gone… but his energy was shot. He was still barely holding on.
He tried to say it again, didn't get the chance.
I stepped forward, clamped a hand over his mouth, lifted him up, and hit his forehead, knocking him out.
