Chapter 40 - Chapter 40

|3rd POV|

"Witness the separation! Witness the beginning of a new age! The Age of Gods is over! The Age of Man begins now!"

Eldrad Ulthran recoils as a swirling red energy breaks his gaze, making reality shudder under its pressure. He takes another dive into the warp, but instead of getting a vision of the present and the future, he gets a vision of the past.

It was time before his race was even born. It was time before the Old Ones were born. It was the vision of the time when the universe itself was born. He sees an explosion. It is not just a regular explosion. This explosion is the announcement of the birth of the universe.

This is the first light that gives birth to the universe.

He watches the light expand and announce the Primordial Age. The age before even the Gods were born. The age where planets are not even called planets.

However, what catches his attention is a fragment of that first light getting thrown before his vision gets cut off. When his vision returns, he can see a weapon. It is the same weapon the Red Dragon uses to fight the Bloated Chosen. Eldrad can feel something familiar about that weapon. It is the light.

Something clicks inside his mind and soul.

Now he learns what the meanings of the words the Red Dragon declares to the world are. Nothingness congratulated Creation in the form of Destruction.

That is what the weapon the Red Dragon uses is. It is the purest form of destruction. It is made of the fragments of destruction that first appeared when the universe was created. Using that sword, he performs the ritual of creation.

He created a new age. The rift in reality is the creation he created using destruction. That rift is the new age.

"The Mon-keigh break the prophecy. They break fate and no longer rely on the Gods."

Eldrad whispers those words as dread and happiness surge through his body. Dread for the future is no longer written. The biggest piece of the future disappears from the board, and the board itself is broken from the creation of the new age.

He feels happiness for the future no longer set in stone. He no longer needs to sacrifice 99% of his race to make sure his race survives the birth of the Dark King, the Tyrant, and Golden Chaos God.

So Eldrad decides it is time for the Great Council to gather. It is time for the entire Asuryani to gather and plan for the future.

However, before he can move from his throne, he sees someone standing in front of him. This person is an Eldar; he knows for sure, but this person is wearing a familiar mask. It is a mask of grinning Eldar. The being also wears a familiar uniform with a familiar pattern.

This person is a Harlequin, loyal servant of the Laughing God, Cegorach. However, this person is not a regular Harlequin, as the mask they are wearing indicates their rank. This person is the Troupe Master, the greatest fighter among the Harlequins and the closest to Cegorach, the Laughing God whispering through them.

"The Laughing God demands a meeting. The Mother is freed from her prison and now stays within the Red Void. The Grand Play has ceased to exist. The laughter needs to be renewed. The meeting shall happen at the Black Library."

Eldrad nods his head and leaves his room to announce this. He knows that all Asuryani, all Eldari, will soon move. For the first time in millennia, Asuryani gathered under a single banner and moved with a single goal.

On the other side of the galaxy, a golden man leading a golden company. He butchers his way through people who dare to call themself his loyal servants. His psychic might flare up, making the entire sky turn golden.

Standing next to this giant golden man is a giant blue man, leading an army of blue soldiers. They are also butchering anyone who dares to stand against the order of the golden man.

They are the Emperor of Mankind and his son, Primarch Roboute Guilliman.

And they are butchering all the traitors who act as High Lord of Terra—they who think nothing but themselves.

"Will you stand among them, Fabricator-General Xasandera Valdet?"

The woman who can no longer be called a human looks at the Emperor and says.

"No… Omnissiah. The Adeptus Mechanicus shall follow your lead."

"Good."

The Emperor leads deeper into the Great Chamber of the Senatorum Imperialis. The Adeptus Custodes fight their way through the Minotaur Chapter, who try to defend the High Lord who dares to question the Emperor.

It does not take long before the entire Minotaur Chapter ceases to exist, at least the one in Terra. The man standing behind the minotaur looks at the Emperor in fear and quickly says.

"I-I sorry—"

Before he can say anything, the Emperor waves his hand and makes his head explode. Just like that, the last member of the Hexarchy, a group of former High Lords and some of the current High Lords who want to perform a coup against Roboute, dies before their plan can even start.

After killing the man, the Emperor looks at his son and says,

"My son."

Roboute looks at his father, and unlike before, he can see his face. At least the face that he saw in the past. Unlike when he saw him sitting on the throne as nothing but a battery for the Astranomicon.

"Father."

"Take two million soldiers and four companies of your legion to Atoma Prime. Protect the Beacon of Humanity and help him in his duty. Follow the Red Star in the Warp to reach Atoma Prime."

Roboute looks at his father and nods. This is the man he is familiar with, not the abomination he saw in the past. He can see the same man who put his goal above all else, but Roboute also sees something has changed in the Emperor.

He doesn't know if this is a good change, but he is glad he served a human rather than an abomination.

"What are you going to do now, Father?"

"I shall gather your brothers. We shall restart the Great Crusade. We need to reunite humanity once again, but this time… No more lies."

Roboute knows what he means by lie. He understands his father's reasoning, but at the same time, he cannot help but feel a bit bitter because, in his mind, some of his brothers can be rescued from the clutches of the Chaos Gods before they fall.

Now, his fallen brothers cannot be rescued and can only be killed as a mercy.

"Which one will you go first, father?"

Roboute sees his father looking back at the palace, and after a few seconds, he says.

"It is time for me to rescue your brother, who is trapped in the Dark City. I shall lead the ten thousand to war against the people of Dark City. I shall raze their city to the ground for what they have done to your brother."

Roboute doesn't know what the people of this so-called Dark City have done to one of his brothers, but the feeling coming from the Emperor is nothing but anger. He is not a psychic gifted, but he can feel his father holding back his psychic might so as not to vaporize the people around him.

Sitting on the throne, a being made of metal looks at the report in his hand. He waves his hand, and the green hologram disappears. Once again, he requires the help of the Celestial Orrery to gather information that disturbs his collection.

Trazyn looks at the destroyed part of his collection in annoyance. As he walked through his collection, one of the artifacts exploded for unknown reasons, triggering a chain reaction that forced him to move his collection from one place to another.

So he went to Thanatos to gather the information he needed and found something interesting. He loses a good chunk of his collection, but he receives information that makes him a little bit better.

A device so old it predates their entire race is something he needs in his collection. It needs to be preserved even when he needs to perform a direct acquisition. So he prepares his personal ship and prepares to depart.

He hates moving, but something like this needs his personal touch. However, before he can leave his throne room, an invisible force stops him from moving.

"Sleep, little thief. My chosen one does not need your meddling at the moment. He already has a lot on his plate."

Before he could do anything, his entire body shut down, and he entered deep sleep without his consent. He releases a scream before it cuts off. Tomb World Solemnace falls into deep slumber once again.

Orks. Orks are simple creatures. They have one brain cell, and all it wants is to fight. Their warmongering nature is a requirement for them; when they do not fight, they weaken and die. So that is why all Orks will always search for a good fight.

They always search for someone who can give them a proper fight. They search planet after planet for a fight. However, it will take time before they can fight someone who can handle them. They fight each other before they can find a worthy opponent who is not an Ork.

However, it changes when two Green Gods from the warp inform them of the location where they will have a proper fight.

"OI! DERE'Z A PROPA FOIGHT IN DERE!"

"OI! DERE'Z A REAL PROPA FOIGHT IN DERE, YA GIT!"

After that declaration, all the Orks release a war cry so strong that it shakes the planet they control.

"WAAAGH!"
