Chapter 408 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 408: Gabriel's Fall from Grace

Gabriel had always been the embodiment of nobility, beauty, and holiness—a Seraph adored by millions, sung of in hymns, worshipped in prayers. She was the paragon of faith, the shining jewel of Heaven.

But now, that same Gabriel was trapped in a nightmare she could neither comprehend nor escape.

Summoned and betrayed by her own Queen, Griselda. Ambushed and wounded by Grayfia, the silver-haired Annihilation Queen. Imprisoned and defiled by Tenra Kamiyo, the Red Dragon Emperor.

Gabriel couldn't understand any of it. Why would Griselda, her most loyal and devout follower, turn against her? Why would Tenra and Grayfia join forces for something so cruel? Why was she—Heaven's beloved—cast down and violated?

There were too many questions, and not a single answer. But one thing was clear:

She was utterly doomed.

Tenra had promised to do unspeakable things to her—and he kept his word.

First, he planted a strange power deep within her soul: the [Seed of Faith]—a force designed to twist her will, rewrite her beliefs, make her worship him.

Gabriel scoffed at the idea. The Lord might be gone, but her faith was unbreakable—harder than steel, deeper than the ocean. No demon could ever shake her devotion.

Yet Tenra's confidence unsettled her. And soon, that unease proved justified.

He began to read to her from his so-called [Codex]. The audacity of a demon naming his own writings "scripture" was almost laughable—until Gabriel realized she couldn't laugh anymore.

Because the words made sense. They soothed her, calmed her, resonated with the same peace she'd once felt from the Lord's teachings.

This was wrong.

These were the lies of a devil—why did they feel so true?

Then it struck her: the [Seed of Faith]. Was this its power?

Desperate, Gabriel tried to shut out the seductive words. But Tenra was relentless, repeating his gospel over and over, sometimes joined by Grayfia, Griselda, or even the Undine Queen. No matter how she resisted, she found herself listening, understanding, agreeing.

The day she felt a flicker of doubt about the Lord's teachings, Gabriel was horrified.

What had she done?

How could she question the faith that defined her soul—just because of a demon's whispers?

Panic set in. She saw the triumphant gleam in Tenra's eyes, and knew she'd fallen into his trap.

Her anger was useless. The real nightmare was only beginning.

Her body—once flawless and pure—was defiled, over and over, every inch claimed by Tenra's touch. The pain was unbearable, the shame overwhelming. She was no longer worthy of serving the Lord. Despair consumed her.

For the first time, Gabriel felt a flash of resentment toward her God.

Why had He left so soon?

Why wouldn't He save her?

What good was faith if it brought no salvation?

Pain, despair, and bitterness swirled in her heart. Then, inexplicably, pleasure crept in.

Real pleasure—raw, physical, undeniable.

Even as Tenra violated her, Gabriel felt waves of ecstasy she'd never known. The sensation grew, fierce and insistent, until she craved more. She hated herself for it, but her body betrayed her at every turn.

Her nightmare evolved. Day after day—maybe years, maybe centuries, she lost all sense of time—Gabriel was forced to listen to the [Codex] while her body was used. The teachings seeped into her soul, pleasure warped into addiction, and her resistance crumbled.

She knew she was sinking—her body corrupted, her soul falling ever deeper. But she was powerless to stop it. Forced to accept, forced to crave, forced to agree… forced to submit.

No one came to save her. No one even tried. The world itself seemed determined to cast her into darkness.

Until, one day—

"Gabriel, look at yourself. See how beautiful you are now…"

Tenra's voice slithered behind her as he pressed a mirror into her trembling hands.

Gabriel stared, mind dull and slow. She still looked like herself—except her golden wings had turned pitch black.

She was a fallen angel.

When had it happened? Had she crossed the line long ago, or just now? It no longer mattered.

She had fallen. She had fallen. She had fallen.

"Ah! Ahhhh!"

Gabriel clutched her head, screaming as her world collapsed.

"She's broken," Grayfia observed, her tone clinical.

Tenra just smiled with quiet satisfaction. "Relax. She's at the final stage. We're almost done."

He'd done this before. He knew exactly what came next.

When Gabriel's cries finally faded, Tenra knelt before her.

"Gabriel."

She looked up, eyes vacant, spirit shattered.

Everything had led to this moment. Tenra's smile was gentle as he cupped her face.

"Gabriel, I am your master. I am your god. If I say you're pure, you are pure. If I say you've fallen, you have fallen."

He leaned closer, voice echoing in the void.

"Now, I tell you—

You are pure."

You are pure… you are pure… you are pure…

Tenra's words reverberated through the air. Something flickered in Gabriel's empty gaze—a spark of hope, a glimmer of faith.

"I… I'm pure?" she whispered, disbelief trembling in her voice.

"Yes, Gabriel. You are pure."

Tenra's answer was absolute.

"I'm pure… I'm pure… I'm pure…"

Black feathers drifted away, dissolving into nothing. In an instant, Gabriel's wings blazed gold once more—brighter, more radiant than ever.

She was reborn.

"Holy Lord…"

Gabriel knelt, gazing up at Tenra with a devotion deeper and fiercer than anything she'd ever known.

Tenra nearly laughed aloud at the triumph, but held himself back, finishing the ritual with solemnity.

"Congratulations, Gabriel. You have been granted new life."
