After resolving the second Singularity and receiving Morpheus' report, another meeting was convened.
Olga Marie asked, "Regarding Nero, a mere human displaying power comparable to a Servant... what are your thoughts?"
In the second Singularity, Nero had demonstrated terrifying strength with her human body, leaving a profound impression on everyone.
However, as she spoke, several pairs of eyes instinctively turned toward the man fiddling with a pen.
Morpheus placed the pen on the table, looking puzzled. "Why are you all staring at me?"
The group quickly averted their gazes.
Here was someone utterly oblivious, a human whose displayed power far surpassed Nero's!
Gudako ventured, "Could it be due to magecraft?"
Mash shook her head. "She doesn't seem to know magecraft or have any knowledge of it. Could it be related to her weapon?"
Romani, equally puzzled, said, "That's possible. If the weapon itself is a Noble Phantasm, it could enhance its wielder's strength."
As the discussion grew lively, a voice interjected, "Actually, I know why Nero can exhibit such power."
The speaker was Morpheus.
All eyes turned to him again. Olga Marie frowned. "You know?"
"Yes, I know."
Suppressing the urge to roll her eyes, Olga Marie lowered her voice. "If you know, say so earlier!"
"I was spacing out!"
Seeing Morpheus so brazenly admit to daydreaming, Olga Marie felt her head buzzing with frustration.
She took a deep breath. "Spit it out!"
"Nero's identity is unique. Due to certain literary associations, she possesses the traits of a Beast. You can think of her as embodying characteristics of both the Whore of Babylon and the Beast of 666.
"As for this history, if you're familiar with the development of the Christian faith, you should understand. Of course, I must say it's quite far-fetched, but through legend, she indeed acquired these traits, granting her certain qualities."
"Nero is a Beast?!" Olga Marie frowned, while Romani fell into deep thought. Nearby, Fou let out a cry, as if echoing something.
Da Vinci asked, "Why do you say it's far-fetched?"
"Because I once had contact with the Scarlet Woman... back in the Age of Gods in Greece," Morpheus said with a smile.
Clearly, this was something none of them understood.
"The Scarlet Woman?"
"In a specific Tree of Life system, the entity at the pinnacle of the feminine aspect is the Scarlet Woman, also known as the Whore of Babylon I mentioned. She's the highest existence in the feminine essence, while the corresponding masculine pinnacle is the Beast of 666. Now do you see why I said it's far-fetched?"
Da Vinci, still puzzled, asked, "Your magic... yes, magic, I didn't misspeak... is rooted in the orthodox Tree of Life system, right? How is there such a strange Tree of Life?"
"I do primarily follow the orthodox path, but that doesn't mean I can't study other types," Morpheus said with a grin, sounding utterly relaxed. "The more you know, the faster your strength grows. Besides, Medea was likely noticed by the Scarlet Woman too, since back then…"
The group continued staring at Morpheus, but he abruptly shut his mouth, refusing to elaborate.
Olga Marie exploded, "What happened back then?!"
Morpheus spread his hands. "Medea and I, during our relationship, studied some magic related to the Scarlet Woman... like how to channel her power."
Olga Marie opened her mouth, unsure whether to press further. The others exchanged glances, uncertain whether to continue. Morpheus shook his head. "Don't tell me you think that kind of thing is only for mana transfer."
Ritsuka Fujimaru looked utterly confused, not following the conversation.
Seeing the group actually nod, Morpheus helplessly covered his forehead.
"Fine, it's a type of magic... sex magic. It's highly effective but hard to control. Without sufficient skill, I don't recommend touching it. Mess up, and you might summon a divine child, potentially bringing misfortune."
Ritsuka Fujimaru's eyes widened. She finally grasped what they were puzzled about and why Morpheus had been reluctant to elaborate.
So, there was such an incredible form of magic!
It was utterly surprising!
It seemed no one else knew about this magic. Truly, Morpheus' vast knowledge included things others couldn't fathom!
The more Ritsuka thought about it, the more she admired him.
Morpheus continued, "Anyway, I've explained why Nero has combat strength close to a Servant's. Can we move on?"
Olga Marie nodded. "Yes, let's continue the meeting."
She shot Morpheus a glare, nearly derailed by him!
Da Vinci spoke up, "We've made modifications to Mash's shield, allowing the Holy Grail to be embedded within it. This will provide sufficient power for your operations."
This "sufficient power" naturally referred to enhanced magical energy. As a Demi-Servant, Mash's strength was typically inferior to full Servants, but with the Holy Grail, this issue was resolved.
Moreover, this allowed Mash to operate independently, boosting her autonomy to the maximum even without Ritsuka Fujimaru.
"By the way, I have a question. In your report, Morpheus, you mentioned Lev transforming into a strange monster, which you called the Demon God Pillar's true form?"
Morpheus nodded. "Exactly, as I wrote. Lev revealed his Demon God Pillar form. Due to its unique nature, unless the root cause is addressed, Lev can likely revive endlessly. And it's probably not just Lev... other Demon God Pillars are likely similar."
Olga Marie asked, "After you dealt with Lev, he summoned a Servant you called Attila. Historically, she's the great king of the Huns, the Scourge of God. But why did you call her an enemy of civilization?"
Morpheus looked puzzled. "Didn't I write that?"
"You did, but it's unclear. You said Attila was the culprit who appeared on Earth during the Age of Gods, nearly destroying its civilization. So how did such a being become a human and the great king of the Huns?"
Morpheus realized he'd been vague, only briefly mentioning the connection.
After explaining in detail the link between Attila and Sefar, the alien lifeform that nearly eradicated the gods in the Age of Gods, the group finally understood.
"An alien lifeform, Sefar, that destroyed the Machine Gods' bodies and forced the gods to retreat, only to be defeated by a weapon forged by the planet... the Sword of Promised Victory…" Olga Marie mused.
Romani added, "And that Sword of Promised Victory is none other than King Arthur's weapon!"
The group couldn't help but look at Morpheus again. He blinked, confused. "What?"
His report clearly stated he used a magical formula to conjure a false Sword of Promised Victory, defeating Attila by exploiting its attribute advantage.
A weapon forged by the planet, and this guy somehow recreated it?!
Morpheus grinned. "Want to learn? Just say so... I'm not against teaching!"
His generosity left the group speechless.
Others guarded their secrets, but he was eager to teach everyone magic, as if wanting the whole world to wield it.
…
After the meeting, Morpheus left the conference room and headed to the control room.
Casually accessing a computer, he began browsing.
Olga Marie, appearing behind him at some point, looked at the data he was sifting through. "What are you looking for? The next Singularity isn't in Japan."
"Nothing much. I just think Ritsuka's strength is still lacking. With a suitable weapon, she'd be safer."
"You're planning to craft a Noble Phantasm for Ritsuka?" Olga Marie paused, recalling how Morpheus referred to his equipment, and corrected herself. "A Mystic Code?"
"Yeah, a Mystic Code. Muramasa's famous, but so is its curse, so I'll go with something else."
"Muramasa isn't that strong, is it?"
"It's decent enough. It'd hold up in a fight against Servants," Morpheus said, continuing to browse mythological records. After scanning some content, he fixated on a photo.
Reading the text on the image, Olga Marie said, "Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi?"
Her voice rose. "Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi?!"
"What's wrong?"
"You're planning to replicate that?"
"Exactly. If I'm making something, might as well make it powerful. Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi fits well. Plus, isn't Ritsuka Japanese? She's busy saving Human Order, so it suits her in a way."
Morpheus wasn't joking. If canonization were possible, Ritsuka Fujimaru could likely be sainted.
As a weapon tied to the slaying of Yamata-no-Orochi in Japanese mythology, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi was indeed fitting for her.
However, crafting it required materials Morpheus didn't have. He turned to Olga Marie.
"Director," Morpheus said with a cheeky grin.
Olga Marie shivered.
"Beautiful Miss Marie," he continued, still grinning.
Her eyes widened, and she shouted, "Just say what you want! Don't use that tone!"
"Nothing much. I just hope you can provide some materials for me to craft a weapon for Ritsuka Fujimaru. She's a key investigator, so you wouldn't refuse, right?"
"Do I look like I'd refuse?!" Olga Marie snapped, signing a document and handing it to him. "Take it and get the materials yourself!"
"Sweet!" Morpheus grabbed the signed paper and headed happily to the material storage.
With these materials and a bit of time, crafting Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi would be straightforward.
The materials were simple... ordinary steel would suffice. Forging was easy, too, using Chaldea's tools to quickly shape it to match the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi in Morpheus' memory.
At least, it would look identical.
The critical part was the additional components for its symbolic significance.
Morpheus had asked for Olga Marie's signature to use the summoning circle.
"What are you summoning?" Romani and Da Vinci, who had rushed over upon hearing the news, asked. Romani pressed further.
"Something to imbue Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi with its true concept…" Morpheus said, taking prepared blood and adding new magical arrays around Chaldea's summoning circle.
These arrays, composed of divine names, enveloped the circle as if to prevent something from escaping.
Seeing Morpheus prepare so extensively for a single summoning, Romani and Da Vinci grew curious, eager to see what he intended to summon.
Then, Morpheus began chanting.
It was an unheard-of incantation, entirely different from standard Servant summoning chants. Rather than a contract, it sounded like a command.
In essence, it was, "Get over here, or else!"
Romani glanced at Morpheus, wondering if all summoning spells for demons in magic were this aggressive.
Was the magician community Morpheus belonged to all this bold?
Morpheus even began weaving threats into the chant... things like, "If you don't show up, I'll make sure you're struck by lightning forever." But as Romani listened, something felt off.
"If you don't come, I'll have Susano-o strike you daily with lightning? Wait... you're summoning that?!"
Romani realized who Morpheus was summoning, but it was too late to stop him. The magical array reacted, and a massive serpent's head emerged, its majestic eyes glaring at the room's occupants.
Even through the divine name barriers, the group felt an immense pressure.
In the next instant, an even more terrifying aura erupted from Morpheus... an anti-dragon aura that instantly suppressed one of the divine Yamata-no-Orochi's heads!
Staring at the serpent, Morpheus declared, "I don't want your head. Show me your tail!"
