Pohang (2007)
The clouds had given the earth the gift of their wetness , raindrops like pearls of sea were dropping in the city, far from the main city a small hut was situated, it was kind of a shabby hut with no electricity but only candles which were the only source of light in the whole darkroom.
The room was filled with people . By there appearances anyone could tell that they were doing no good business. The whole hut was a place of gambling, alcohol all in the air , there were talks of drug smuggling and other different types of illegal things .
It was like a bar of old times, people playing cards and gambling with beer in their hands.
" Oh I won the game again! Give all that money here pals! " an old guy with a cowboy hat laughed and said, he had won the game for 5 continuous times.
"Hey Elzandro do you have quality material these days in your business , if you have it then I can pay dirty for it , I also want to get involved in the business, I have gangs to support in the whole city" another person who was having a beer said to the person in the next table who was playing cards.
Elejandro turned from his side and faced towards the person who was speaking to him " Hey aren't you the leader of MAFOK gang "
"Yes! and what if I am! , do you have a problem with that "
'No why would I have a problem with that! Don't be harsh with your words, we are all brothers here ,right Delek? 'the man asked the person who was sitting at the corner of the hut all alone he was around 6.9 ft or 7 with a thick physique his hands covered in tattoos and his face covered with his black scarf which gave him a mysterious look .
" Yes we are brothers, brothers who can backstab each other if the profit is greater than their brotherhood! " Delek answered with a cold face.
As the conversation was going on suddenly the door opened with a bang exposing the dark room with a frail amount of light, the door was opened by a thin man with black hair and torn jacket who looked like the age of 50 came inside the door.
He was carrying a basket in his hand, anyone could see that the person was totally drunk and exhausted ,he came to the table where the game of cards were being played.
" Can i play too! "The man asked with a breaking voice.
"Yes the bar is free for everybody ! You can play till you pocket cries (hahahaha! )" Elejandro laughed loudly at his silly joke but instead of him no one got his lame joke.
The game started again with the distribution of cards and the addition of a new player , first round was won by Elejandro " Wooho! The luck is in the air today, right guys "
The second game was played cards again distributed again everyone took out cash from their pocket and bet it and again another person won the money.
The series continued on till the fifth round every time someone winning and someone losing suddenly the man with the basket who just now come inside exclaimed " I don't have anyomore money left! "
Elejandro with a polite expression on his face " Well brother I am sorry! If you don't have any money left then you can't play "
"But i want to play more! Please please let me play I can do anything for it please! "The man started to beg to the other members of the group.
" If you want to play then you have to bet something of your belonging " The leader of the MAFOK gang suggested him.
" But i don't, wait wait! I have something I could bet on " he went to the place where he had placed his basket, he carried it and went to the gambling table and unveiled it.
There was a baby inside it, he wasn't wearing any clothes, his hair as dark as coal.
The whole group was shocked to see the baby " What the hell , where did you get the baby from! The group exclaimed in shock "
" It is my child! But i don't need it , can i bet him on the gamble? "
" Well old man I think you have come to the wrong place this time, we don't support that kind of deeds , we are bad people but we have some of our own ethics and morals "
The whole place agreed to Elejandro's thinking and supported him for it except for the MAFOK gang.
The leader of MAFOK had other thoughts in his mind " Hey old man if you want to gamble then just give me the child, and you can can play to your hearts fullness "
The whole bar became silent in a second .
Elejandro " Hey didn't you get me, I said we are not going to do that, he is just a new born"
" Look who is saying it the man who is famous for his business of human trafficking " The leader of MAFOK teased Elejandro.
Elejandro " I left that business a long time ago and I am still paying the price for doing that kind of business "
As the intensity of the situation was increasing suddenly there were gunshots from the outside ' bang! '
The people inside the bar became alert but it was too late police had surrounded them and bang! bang! bang! bullets were like water sprinkler on them .
Many people were injured and only a few remained alive.
The police started announcing from outside " We know you are inside! We have surrounded all of you from each direction! If you don't come out and surrender now we would come inside "
The police soon broke the door and entered but as soon as they entered bam! bam! Delek threw them away with two of his punches .After that the police swarmed inside like flies trying to catch the beast but everyone got knocked out by just one of Delek's hit.
Delek was punching and kicking everyone who was coming on his way , but shockingly one of the of the officers caught his hand this time , and this was not some ordinary guy he was from ZAF ( Zenkaichi Action Force) .
" Oh so you are a tough guy! I think you are veteran player right! " The ZAF guy asked him.
" None of your business " saying that Delek tried to release his hand from the grip of the officer but he realized that he couldn't, the grip was too strong.
" In my hometown we have bull like you in our fields and when they go wild do you know how we control them! " he put his hand on his head and held Delek's hair and with full force he brought his head to the ground and and planted his knee on his face ( boom) Delek fainted in one move.
" Clean the area and see if anyone is alive or not "
Abruptly an officer came running towards the ZAF officer " Sir Carter, we have found something that you should see! "
Carter went to the place " Oh, what a miracle! a child being found in this kind of place, did he get injured call the medics why does he have blood , oh what did I do! "
' No sir this is not his blood it is that person 's blood 'the officer pointed towards Elejandro who was lifelessly fallen in the ground.
"That person saved the baby from the bullet and took the bullets on himself "
"What! So even gangsters have a heart " Carter went towards Elejandro and asked " After doing so many bad deeds in you life how did you manage to get the courage to do your last good deed"
Three bullets had struck to his abdomen and two bullets on his chest.
Elejandro who was losing his breath asked " Is the baby's father dead?"
Carter " No one is alive except for the baby and that bull like player "
"What is this baby's name, do you know about it? "
" If the baby doesn't have a name then please keep his name Erebus it is my last wish "
Elejandro laughed , this name was to be given to my child who was going to be born in this world but due to my business with human trafficking and all,there were constant clash between our gang and the police and in one of those fights both the child and my wife died .
. It was the name suggested by my wife and i used to ask to ask her this question ,what is the meaning of the name and she used to say it means 'The person who can find light even in his darkest times '.
Tears rolled out of his eyes , she died in my arms as she spoke her last words" It is never too late to return "
An ominous science filled the place and everyone knew what had happened ,Elejandro had passed away
Carter had taken the baby in his arms ' So Erebus it is! '
