I froze mid-step, tray trembling in my hands. Jisoo went pale beside me.
Hyunki loomed behind us, his gaze aggressive and overwhelming.
He closed the distance with that slow, calculated swagger, boots heavy against the tile.
His scent flooded the space between us—thick, territorial, and designed to intimidate.
He circled us like a wolf evaluating prey.
"Two betas huddling together for safety." His voice dropped to a mocking whisper. "Cute. Do you guys shake when alphas walk by, or is that just a rumor?"
His finger jabbed Jisoo's forehead—hard and humiliating.
Jisoo slapped his hand away.
The entire cafeteria went silent. Spoons clattered onto trays. Conversations died mid-sentence.
Hyunki's grin widened like he'd been waiting for this.
"Go on then." He leaned in, eyes glittering with malice. "Be a man."
I grabbed Jisoo's arm, anchoring him before he could do something stupid. My fingers dug into his sleeve.
