Chapter 83 - Chapter 83

83 Chapter 83

Serenia's breath hitched the moment her eyes locked onto him.

That whiteish grey hair — the torn edge, the darkened aura burning around him — there was no mistaking it. Aruno. Her brother.

Her knees gave out before she realized it. Her body trembled as tears streamed down her face, the words barely escaping her throat.

"Aruno.." she whispered, tears streaking her face as her hands trembled.

But he didn't turn. Not once. His focus was absolute, eyes locked on Caelith.

The air distorted around him, the cracked pavement glowing red beneath his feet. Shadows and crimson light bled outward like living veins, stretching across the ruined street. The gold radiance from Caelith dimmed beneath it — a clash of gods beginning in silence.

The ground behind Aruno erupted.

Chunks of asphalt lifted into the air as something massive forced its way through. From the rift rose Behemoth, a towering golem of molten stone and crimson energy, its surface cracked and pulsing like a living forge. Each step it took shook the street, black smoke hissing from the fractures that ran through its body.

From its chest, Void emerged — solidifying in the air above it, his form dark and sharp-edged, a grin carved across his shadowed face. His red eyes burned like coals in an endless abyss.

"Finally," Void said, his tone laced with cruel satisfaction. "A god that bleeds light."

Behemoth's eyes became furnaces of red and black flared. Its massive fists slammed together, sending a shockwave through the air.

And then the world moved.

Behemoth charged, molten energy trailing behind it as the ground shattered under its weight. Void leapt from its shoulder, streaking through the air like a scar of red lightning, aimed directly at Caelith.

Caelith didn't flinch. Floating midair, he raised a single hand, gold light gathering in his palm until it blazed like a newborn sun.

The collision was instant — black flame and divine light met, exploding in a storm that twisted the very sky.

The shockwave sent Yoru and Ko stumbling back, dust and light ripping through the street. Ko's jaw clenched, eyes locked on the chaos above. "Holy hell…"

Yoru grabbed Serenia, shielding her from flying debris. The girl's voice cracked through sobs, trembling.

"He's… really here…"

But Aruno stayed focus.

He didn't even breathe like a man anymore.

The red and black aura surged around him, raw and alive — his will, his fury, and his purpose made visible.

He was focused on one thing.

Caelith.

The god who threatened his sister.

And the sky burned as their powers collided, light and ruin intertwining in a storm that felt like the world itself was splitting apart.

"Fraud.. your summons would never stand a chance against me. Why bother?"

A burst of golden light erupted from his palm. It wasn't a beam. It was purification.

Void's silhouette twisted first — his grin still lingering as his edges melted away like ash in a furnace. Behemoth followed, its molten body cracking, crumbling, collapsing into drifting embers.

Serenia screamed something — distant, muffled — but all I saw was my creations dying in front of me.

"Shit.. after I finally excepted him. He goes on dying like that!" I will protect everyone..

I focus my mind to use divinity as strongly as possible but, he's so fast- I was sure I could keep up.

In a moment a hand grabbed my shoulder- it was heavy.. warm.

My back slammed into the ground creating a crater. Caelith floating above me as I look up at him. "You gods are all the same, looking down on us all."

"You will only feel pain if you will not die."

Golden portals now open above me, then to the side- with in seconds I am surrounded by golden portals.

"What's this?! Let me guess more telep-"

A spear flew out of one.. then another and another. Spears of light now penetrated my body over and over.

The pain didn't feel real at first.

It was too sudden. Too absolute.

Like my nerves couldn't process it fast enough.

I couldn't move. Not fast enough. Not in this state. Blood was already pooling beneath me, muscles shredded, divinity unstable and flickering like a dying flame.

Serenia screamed.

Ko cursed.

Yoru forced herself upright on shaking legs.

And Caelith didn't even blink.

The spears continued to fire.

I pushed everything I had left into one burst of power, but my body didn't respond the way it used to. My regeneration slowed. My aura sputtered. My vision dimmed at the edges.

One spear cut through my leg. Another tore across my ribs. A third ripped clean through my shoulder, pinning me down again.

I gritted my teeth and forced myself upright anyway, blood streaming from my mouth.

I felt it before I saw it.

A hum- the shift in the air. One portal glowing brighter than the rest.

The spear inside it wasn't like the others. Its light was as pure as the sun, absolute, condensed divinity sharpened into a point meant to end things.

My heartbeat slowed.

Serenia's voice broke.

"ARUNO, MOVE!"

Ko shouted something. Yoru lunged forward.

The world felt like it lagged behind itself.

I looked up at Caelith.

He didn't smile. He simply judged me.

"Your fate was sealed the moment you opposed the light and were born."

The spear launched.

I barely had time to inhale.

It struck me right through my back, sinking into my heart with a sound that felt like the world cracking open. My body arched, blood spraying from my lips. My vision went white, then black, then nothing.

I couldn't breathe.

I couldn't think.

My heart wasn't beating.

Serenia's scream tore through the ringing in my ears, raw and broken. Ko's footsteps skidded across the ground. Yoru's aura flared in shock.

I felt my fingers go numb first.

Then my legs.

Then the warmth in my chest drained out like someone unplugged my life.

My mind tried to speak, but the words never formed.

All I managed was a whisper, breathless and fading.

"Serenia…"

My body collapsed limp against the crater floor. The light of the spear flickered, then dissolved, leaving a hollow wound where my heart should be.

Caelith lowered his hand.

"It is finished."
