What I never expected and planned is what I am experiencing right now and what I can't fathom or explain is who the hell is this man and how the hell did he know who I am, but the unanswered question was 'how did he know I was going to be here?' While I was still pondering over this question.
"Boys!" I heard him call out bringing me back to reality.
I hope the boys he just called was one guy, because I know with that number, I can't stand a chance for a fight.
Then I clenched my hand to a fist ready for them to come.
But what I saw left me gasp.
They were not just two or three but a dozen of them.
Seeing this what my 'sensie' Master in martial art once told me.
"Axel. one thing you should never do is to estimate the strength of people by how they look, so if in the near future you get into a fight and you are out numbered don't try to be a hero, take to your heels, I mean run for your life" I recalled.
"Yes Sensei, that is what am going to do right now!" I said to myself.
Then I took my time to look around with a serious face looking for a perfect escape route.
But as I look around, I was so shock that my mouth flew open.
The men that came out from their hiding spots a while ago are heavily armed. It seems they have plans of beating me to death.
What is more apprehensive is the fact that it keeps raining heavily any move I make right now.
I just hope I won't fall because of how slippery the road is right now.
For the very first time I was afraid, afraid of being beaten to death for something I literally know nothing about. This is insane!
The men started moving closer, then I started walking backward. With every step towards me, I took one step backward to keep a maximum space between us, so that I could unleash my escape plan.
I looked left and right.
With hope I unleashed my plan.
They were taken by surprise by the way I took off.
I started running to the opposite direction.
At a main time, I realized I was not followed, but I kept running.
"What are you starring there. Will you run after him and make sure you catch him" I heard the man that I met first tell his boys.
I continued running but this time I could hear more feet hitting the ground. All that was in my mind was to escape the cold hand of unpeaceful death.
"Even if I am to die but certainly not like this" I thought.
I continued running and they continued coming after me. If I were to choose between my current situation and Subway Surf, I would have happily embraced Subway Surf.
As I continued running, I saw a park close. I ran closer, they dashed inside the park. I looked around looking for a perfect spot to hide, but then couldn't find one. I can't possibly hide under the slide, so I decided to go further into the park. What was more significant was the fact that it stopped raining, and it brought me happiness but there was a disadvantage... the carpet grass in this side of the park was slippery.
I looked around with haste, I could still hear the sound of their feet.
Then my eye caught something, it was a tall Kapok tree in its glory. It wasn't too tall I think it is still growing.
I ran to where it was, the climbed to its branches, the good part was its leave was broad enough to hide me, and the power supply was cut short because of the rain.
I held the branches to have a good balance.
I heard their footsteps closer, and my heart beat increased.
"Check everywhere, don't leave any stone. Make sure you find him" the man that should be the second in command said.
Out of fright and anxiety I closed my eyes, then I did something it's been long since I did it.
