Chapter 150 - “Mechanisms… in my body?” Logun’s expression darkened.

"Do you know why she did that?" Xu Fu asked, his voice calm but probing.

"I don't know," Logun replied, shaking his head helplessly. "The attending doctor… I've never known her before." He frowned. The enemy had come to trouble him, but for what purpose, he couldn't fathom.

"It won't take long to find out," Xu Fu said. "Now that your self-healing ability is suppressed, eighty percent of the mechanisms implanted in your body will reveal themselves."

"Mechanisms… in my body?" Logun's expression darkened.

Xu Fu nodded. "Your Excellency Jianyi has a rather… precise configuration. We can check it."

"Yes," Yukifu said, setting up the instruments.

The tests began quickly. What none of them expected was immediately apparent: inside Wolverine Logun's heart, there was something strange, a small device—something Xu Fu called a "two-five-seven."

"That… that started my healing?" Wolverine whispered, eyes locked on the monitor.

"It seems likely," Xu Fu confirmed.

Wolverine exhaled heavily. "Xu Fu, thank you for this. Now take it out—I hope it will restore me fully."

Logun could feel the foreign object embedded in his heart, suppressing the initiator of his healing ability. His skeleton, though made of Edman metal, had no other anomalies. Yet this tiny device, like a living bug, felt terrifyingly foreign.

Determined, Logun used his claws to begin surgery on himself, extracting the device with precision.

Xu Fu watched silently, trusting Wolverine's judgment. Yukifu hesitated, but ultimately yielded to Logan's insistence.

Within moments, the device was removed. Wolverine's healing ability surged back. Injuries he had suffered earlier vanished as his body regenerated rapidly.

"Mr. Logun, now that you're restored, what are your plans?" Xu Fu asked.

"I'll go back first," Logan replied, his tone resolute. He had seen enough of His Excellency's dying side. He had no intention of being entangled in Ophelia's schemes.

Whatever Ophelia intended, if she couldn't find him, it would be useless.

"Logun, tomorrow I'll personally escort you. It's too late now," Yukifu said, her voice tinged with unease. She knew the complications surrounding Logan's condition were all partly her responsibility.

"Yukifu, this has nothing to do with you," Logun said. "Some people just want something from me."

"Alright, Logun. Rest here for now," Xu Fu added, standing to leave.

"Take care, Xu Fu," Logan said.

Xu Fu nodded and stepped out into the night.

Outside, Xu Fu moved swiftly through the winter darkness. The Oriental compound he approached was formidable, rivaling even the old Cesium headquarters. It was the seat of power for Qi Guangxing, commander-in-chief of the Shouhe Society.

Xu Fu knew the Shouhe Society well, and he knew exactly who had tried to harm Logan. Tonight, he intended to settle old scores.

"Boss, what's the plan?" asked one of the young men trailing him, clad in black with an intricate creature engraved on his armor—the Red Jiao Group, a newly risen faction in the Eastern Dwarf Country.

"I'll go in first. Half a cup of tea later, you may follow," Xu Fu replied calmly.

"Yes, boss. Be careful, master," the young man said, tense.

"Don't worry. I'm always alert." Xu Fu's figure vanished before their eyes.

The young man whispered under his breath, eyes narrowing. "He's… powerful. Unbelievably strong."

Inside the Shouhe compound, the scene was solemn. Qi Guangxing held three incense sticks in his hand, bowing before a towering statue of cesium. To many Eastern Dwarves, this was the King of Chaos, the Star of Celestial Law.

The commander poured the incense into the shrine, eyes flickering as the statue's ominous gaze seemed to come alive.

"Any report?" Qi Guangxing asked a kneeling samurai.

"The preparations for the upcoming battle… failed," the samurai reported, his tone respectful. "The remains of Castleya-sama were found at a safe house in winter. Only Toshinoshi Shiroya's remains were located; no others."

Qi Guangxing's eyes narrowed. He had known the Castleya safe house well. Its defenses were sophisticated—0.2 array mines buried underground, a trap that few could bypass. Yet the enemy had not only survived but left no trace.

"Go down," Qi Guangxing commanded coldly.

"Yes, sir," the samurai responded, leaving the hall.

Soon, sounds of movement echoed through the building. Intruders had arrived, and the Shouhe Society prepared for a confrontation—but little did they know that Xu Fu was already inside, moving like a ghost among them.
