(Nagakin's POV)
Nagakin was sitting across from Black Spider in the Trihexa waiting room, the pair stared at each other for a moment, their respective subordinates behind them.
The Godorian group looked like a regular army, identical armor, similar appearances, even their haircuts were similar, but judging by the fact that the Godorians preferred to wear long hair, this was predictable, along with their slightly elongated ears and light golden skin tone, they were undeniably a beautiful race.
Black Spider might have thought these guys looked a lot like elves, but if it weren't for the obvious genetic differences, no one would doubt it.
Nagakin's front line was different from the other Godorians, different armor, short hair, and the explosive physique of a pugilist. In a magical society, for a pugilist to achieve such feats depends exclusively on being Grade A.
Although it hardly reached the point of ostracism seen with the other 4 super systems, Godora still appreciated magic more, that was a fact.
Serbia, the fifth, is one of the few Godorian leaders who sees beyond Godorian conservatism, Nagakin is someone he has promoted step by step since he was just a promising recruit.
That's why Nagakin is very loyal to Serbia.
Behind Black Spider, his crew was much more homogeneous.
Rick was standing between Vanessa and Trax, but his body was completely stiff. This was because moments before he had gotten a little too close to Vanessa, and she had pointed a dagger at his waist.
Korak stood beside Vanessa, his eyes calmer, his strange appearance like a humanoid Mage crow second only to the Slugcat on his shoulder, swaying excitedly like the fluffy jelly that she is.
Trax, still only in his trousers, crossed his arms over his chest, with a heroic posture and a serious face, whoever saw him wouldn't think he was a bastard addicted to alcohol and animal fighting, yes, not just dogs.
Along with Black Spider's bald and "Machiavellian" head, no one would doubt that they were a mercenary crew, although their overall strength was a surprise.
Elesis was not present at Trihexa, she had other things to do and was simply waiting for her call to begin the mission.
-Black Spider, this was the promised item.- Nagakin nodded briefly, placing the briefcase on the table and using the retina scanner to open it. The briefcase opened with a soft decompression sound. Nagakin opened it completely and turned the briefcase towards Black Spider.
Black Spider looked at the contents. A purple crystal pendant in the shape of a diamond with a silver necklace.
-It's discharged, it just needs to start injecting energy to work.- Nagakin said without looking directly at the necklace, keeping his eyes on Black Spider. -Besides, the necklace is a magical item in itself, it can extend quite a bit, making it possible for even a giant to use it, although the pendant doesn't change size along with it.
Black Spider nodded, curious, then threw it to Vanessa, who was taken aback. Before she could speak, Black Spider said. -Try putting energy into it.
Vanessa blinked, nodded, and began to channel energy, the purple crystal pendant glowed with a soft red hue, and in the center of the rhombus, what appeared to be red plasma began to form.
Vanessa was only a Grade B, she wouldn't be able to reach the crystal's limit anytime soon. Seeing that it was enough, Black Spider extended his hand and Vanessa returned it.
Opening his evolutionary field, Black Spider's eyes blinked, he smiled, putting away the necklace and turning to Nagakin who was watching all this with interest.
-Thank you, I'm very pleased. Please send my regards to Serbia.- Black Spider nodded.
Nagakin's lips trembled at Black Spider calling his supreme leader so casually, but considering Black Spider's strength and the supporter behind him, he could only swallow any complaint.
-Very well.- Nagakin nodded, standing up. He didn't want to stay there any longer, he didn't much like mercenaries, and that included Black Spider.
Black Spider also stood up to say goodbye, leading them to the exit of his ship before returning and isolating himself.
In his room, he began sending evolutionary energy to the crystal in large volumes, Vanessa's energy was still there. There was a reason Black Spider had asked for Vanessa's energy, this blood energy was one of the types of energy that his evolutionary energy could directly affect, just like Emma's and Aurora's energy.
In the center of the rhombus, the energy didn't seem to grow much, he wasn't trying to increase the volume, but to strengthen the internal energy.
He was thrilled to realize that this was perfectly possible.
Of course, although their evolutionary energy levels were compatible, it would be a tremendous waste to try to increase both volume and concentration.
Instead, he took out thousands of magic crystals, slowly beginning to fill the purple crystal pendant.
The volume continued to increase, before reaching a limit, at which point Black Spider would stop and use his evolved energy to concentrate all of Vanessa's energy. The volume decreased rapidly, then he used more magic crystals and the cycle repeated several times.
When Black Spider stopped, the crystal had a deep red hue in its center, the energy it emitted was no longer Vanessa's simple Grade B energy, but instead, an extremely pure and concentrated Grade A energy.
Black Spider wasted no time, calling Vanessa.
When Vanessa received the crystal with instructions to absorb the energy, she didn't think much, but the moment the energy entered she almost screamed, her veins bulged as her eyes turned bright red and her fangs lengthened.
She screamed in pain just from absorbing a fragment of that energy, however, that was Vanessa's energy to begin with, extremely compatible, and along with her Esper ability, the effects vanished as quickly as they appeared.
She breathed heavily, staring at the crystal with wide eyes, her confusion turned to evident desire. That fragment of energy felt like she had spent a week training her own energy!
She swallowed hard, looking at Black Spider.
He said. - You have a month to absorb everything.
Vanessa smiled happily. - Thank you, Captain.
Black Spider nodded, he wanted to use Vanessa as a test subject, then he would take the same to Aurora and Emma, especially Aurora.
From her perspective now, although Vanessa had held out, the high level of power still made absorption difficult.
However, if it were Aurora, she wouldn't have any problem at all, Aurora's energy was different from others, it was completely positive. Even if a mortal received the equivalent of Aurora's energy at Grade S, they would only feel reborn, possibly even activating a super gene and skipping several levels at once.
With this crystal, Aurora would grow incredibly fast!
