Chapter 240 - Cap.227 - Mission

While Han Xiao began his journey through space, the Trihexa players weren't taken to the Juberly Hub, they didn't need to be. With Triple Six as the means, they were all easily registered without needing to find a terminal of the mercenary association.

Instead, players were thrown directly into a mission, receiving the Trihexa uniforms, and they followed Black Spider clones as they attacked a rebellious civilization on a planet.

The clones, despite their strength, did not demonstrate it, instead, they used energy weapons to appear as simple Grade C/B Supers.

Instead, it was the senior members who advanced on the front lines.

The people of this world were galactic humans, a species more focused on the physically, they had powerful bodies, but their minds could be considered ordinary, perhaps that's why this planet was at war.

One of them, Grog, the leader of the revolution, wanted to expel the current rulers of this planet, arguing that they were all corrupt.

Black Spider knew that neither side was clean, but he wasn't a hero or a good Samaritan, he accepted the mission, and he completed it.

Black Spider stayed behind, while Trax fought excitedly with Grog, who was the only Grade A Super in the enemy army, also a pugilist.

Most people on this planet were Pugilists, which was a very normal situation for this type of galactic human.

Among the Grade B Supers, there were thousands of them, far more than Eva, Hila, Vanessa, Korak, and Rick.

Even so, it didn't matter, each of them was like a wrecking ball devastating the enemy troops.

The blood of her enemies flowed towards Vanessa wherever she went, some absorbed, some transformed into blood blades, killing with extreme ease.

Rick held his giant sword as he spun around the field. His kill rate was much lower than Vanessa's, but he wore state-of-the-art defensive gear for pugilists, even if he stood still, he wouldn't take any damage. He looked like a Power Ranger in a red and black suit.

Korak flew, hovering in mid-air, a concentrated black miasma surrounding him. Enemies around him were struck by poisonous black feathers or desiccated into corpses in seconds by the miasma. Soon after desiccating, they rose again, like zombies with bloodshot eyes, killing everything around them.

Hila and Eva were the most brutal, the souls of the entire field flowed into Hila, her energy piercing through the enemies' armor like paper. They could only let out screams of pain as their bodies lost their vitality and their souls were sucked away. Hila consumed the souls while her armor absorbed the miasma of death.

Eva, on the other hand, wielded a giant axe made from her armor, red and black, covered in black flames. The axe reaped lives like grass. Eva was excited at first, but she enjoyed a good fight, not just victory. The more she killed, the emptier she felt.

Slugcat was not defenseless, he roamed the field fighting alongside the players and clones, spitting balls of acid at his enemies, courtesy of Ringo. Although not fast, that acid was extremely corrosive, wherever he went, the smell of rotting flesh and cries of pain followed him.

Most of their enemies didn't die on their first try, but they became extremely weakened. Players noticed this and started following Slugcat to 'harvest' the kills.

Unfortunately, Slugcat was invisible most of the time, so they lost him easily.

The players were also having fun, Styx, formerly Cosmic Slug, teamed up with Horus, formerly Charriot.

Styx captured the enemies while Charriot used his weapons to finish them off, the two happily shared XP.

Sage, on the other hand, with her Technopathy power, couldn't do much in that field, the enemies mainly used non-technological equipment, such as armor and swords. Luckily, she had purchased several advanced drones from Triple Six, and she continued to control them to surround and kill enemies.

It was a widespread massacre.

Given Hila and Vanessa's conditions, Triple Six had been accepting this type of mission for a long time, their growth rate was explosive, especially Hila's, who wasn't far from Grade A.

The general responsible for mediating contact with the mercenaries stood beside Black Spider, who watched all this with indifference. The man swallowed hard, he felt it was good that Black Spider was on his side, but he also felt a deep fear in his mind.

The mercenaries could accept one mission to help them today and another to destroy them tomorrow, he was only satisfied with the leader's decision to hire mercenaries before Grog did.

It was incredibly low to do that, but history is written by the victors. The leaders didn't care in the slightest if their reputation might be tarnished, a few years to appease the people would be enough, and the remaining rebels could be eliminated little by little.

The General knew that if the Triple Six mercenaries were a local force, the leaders probably wouldn't be able to sleep well at night, planning how to deal with them as quickly as possible, having such powerful individuals over their heads, able to decide their lives, wouldn't make anyone happy.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, Triple Six was just another galactic mercenary group, the unfortunate part was that it wasn't possible to deal with just one mercenary group to end this, there were countless groups throughout the galaxy.

The General was prepared to suggest that they limit the people's access to the galactic network, if another mercenary group were to invade, hired by some rebel..., the General knew they would die horribly, just as their enemies are dying now.

Black Spider couldn't hear the General's thoughts, but like a nightmare clone, he could sense the constant mood swings, yet he ignored them.

Who cares about them?

They just needed to do the job and leave.

However, while he was planning to return to the Floating Dragon for a while and let the group rest, his passive precognition activated, he looked at the sky, and used his future vision.

His lips trembled, more trouble had arrived.
