Arlo Yarbrough, infuriated by the words he heard, wanted to slap him.
But Dirk Carter stopped him.
He took out a cigarette, offered it to him, and even lit it.
He took a deep drag.
Kahlil Sutton finally seemed a bit energized.
Squinting his eyes, he sized up Dirk Carter and said, "I just owe you a bit of money, what's the rush? You've tied me up here, how am I supposed to pay you back?"

I thought it was a creditor who had tied him up.
Dirk Carter pulled over a chair and sat down facing him, asking, "Kahlil Sutton, do you remember Yana Marshall?"
"Yana Marshall? The name sounds familiar, but I can't quite recall."
Kahlil Sutton said in a rascal-like manner.
However, his sudden eye dilation indicated that he did know Yana Marshall.
"Then think carefully, there's no rush, we have all the time in the world."
