Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: The First Step Toward Multiverse Invasion

I placed the newly hatched monsters into the Bone Graveyard.

After that, I checked on the adventurers' progress.

At most, they were still lingering on the fourth floor.

Even with Akame and the others present, no one dared to push into the fifth.

The trauma from their first attempt left too deep a shadow to overcome.

By contrast, Akame's group had already conquered the seventh floor with ease.

Farming magic stones alongside them would be far more efficient.

None of the three had even used their first spins yet—something worth keeping in mind.

Akame's Murasame proved effective against dungeon monsters, though it remains uncertain how well it would fare against higher-level ones.

Kurome, on the other hand, wielded her Teigu—Yatsufusa. After killing a monster, she could control its body like a puppet.

Her limit, however, was still eight corpses at once.

That said, what she controls aren't true corpses. Monsters she kills still resurrect in the Bone Graveyard. What Yatsufusa binds are more like energy bodies—copies drawn from the slain.

Compared to Akame and Kurome's team, the others had it much harder.

Takagi Saya's group of five were still fresh newcomers.

And in this dungeon, monsters only grew stronger the deeper one went.

Even Akame's strategies didn't make things easier. In fact, once third-tier armed monsters or berserk types appeared, the battles turned troublesome again.

Not to mention Busujima Saeko, who had to lead five rookies. Casualties were inevitable. Fortunately, resurrection gave them another chance.

World Resolutions

[Demon Slayer World]: 4%

[High School of the Dead World]: 8%

[Jackie Chan Adventures World]: 3%

The Apocalypse World's resolution was rising the fastest—thanks entirely to the repeated deaths there.

After finishing things in the dungeon, I leaned back and let out a long breath.

Not surprisingly, Mizuki called soon.

"Mr. Yami Tsukishiro, I want to ask you for some information about the new monsters. How should I put it?"

Verification, huh?

That word was well chosen.

There was no oppressive tone from the government, no heavy-handed demands.

This was exactly the kind of attitude Yami Tsukishiro preferred.

He remained calm and composed.

"I'll send the information to the group and report it casually."

"Alright." Mizuki's voice carried her usual easygoing professionalism, then the call ended.

Afterward, Yami Tsukishiro compiled what he knew about the Velociraptor and the Tailed Rat and shared it with the group.

The world, he knew, was on the verge of major change.

A Week Later

Time worked like fermentation, ripening the truth. Within a week, the existence of monsters had been confirmed from every angle.

The authorities could no longer suppress the news.

The Internet was already ablaze with rumors and debates.

To ease public anxiety, officials announced they were developing weapons to fight monsters.

The research, of course, came from dissecting monster corpses, though progress was still unknown.

Still, the detail that gripped everyone's attention wasn't the weapons.

It was the leaked video.

Compared to the blurry first footage of the Leatherback Turtle, this recording was crystal clear.

Clear enough to reveal Yami Tsukishiro's profile.

Naturally, people from Comprehensive Academy noticed the resemblance immediately.

Campus forums erupted, posts multiplying by the hour.

The academy itself had been forced into an extended holiday, reopening date "pending further notice." Pressure from higher authorities was obvious.

They all knew Yami Tsukishiro had no desire to be disturbed.

The Internet wasn't lawless, but it allowed more freedom than reality ever could.

And so, the online carnival continued without restraint.

Yami Tsukishiro had even gained the title of "Hero," his name trending everywhere online.

And yet, despite the buzz, he simply spent his days at home, detached from the outside world.

Until the peace broke.

[Ding! High School of the Dead World resolution has reached 10%. The Gate of the World has opened!]

"Good grief…"

Takagi Saya's entire team of five had died.

Busujima Saeko and the others had fought to protect the stragglers, but still…

It wasn't their fault.

The tragedy came down to the new monster Yami had created at random. Without knowing its abilities, anyone would've died to its poison.

No one would have thought to buy an antidote from the mall beforehand.

Usually, a World Gate appeared once resolution hit 5%.

But this time, things were different.

[Gate of the World]: Highschool of the Dead

[Limited-Time Open]: Permanent

[Invitation Quota]: None

[Intrusion Permission]: Enabled

Permanent. No timer.

No invitation slots.

And more importantly...invasion permissions.

"Intrusion permissions…?"

Yami Tsukishiro studied the description carefully.

[Intrusion Permission]

You may launch an invasion through the World Gate into any world with invasion enabled.

Once an invasion begins, the world will reveal its Source Crystals, which are infected and assimilated as the invasion progresses.

Anyone killed while invading will become part of the Multiverse Dungeons and can be resurrected there.

"!!!"

Yami's eyes widened.

So it was possible to invade entire worlds now?

Not just summoning chosen adventurers through invitations…

but actively invading a world, exploring it in advance, and assimilating it into the Multiverse system.

The thought sent a thrill down his spine.

The moment the system prompt faded, he strode into the dungeon and summoned Ella to the throne room.

"Master." She knelt gracefully, awaiting his command.

"Ella," Yami Tsukishiro said with a rare grin, "get ready. We're about to do something big."
