Chapter 461: Pandora's Speculation!
In a grayish-white space, a cute twin-tailed girl around twelve or thirteen years old was sitting with her eyes closed.
Her delicate, small lips were moving—
"Aisha, if possible, please come back. Aisha? Aisha~"
After calling out several times, she opened her eyes, revealing a troubled expression.
"Mother, how did it go?"
Beside her, Annie, wearing a mask, furrowed his brow beneath it as he asked.
The mother before him had just contacted Aisha, hoping she could handle the current disastrous situation.
Because of the Fairy's Corridors—these passageways—that this lady had opened during her past travels, most of them had been dormant like extinct volcanoes. But now, they were all becoming active.
From several of these passageways, gods from other parallel worlds had emerged.
In Iceland, Europe, a passageway had released Frost Giants, who did not originate from this world's mythological realm.
In South America, another passageway had brought forth Meztli from Aztec mythology.
And these were only the ones that had been discovered. Who knew if other undiscovered passageways had also released gods?
Truly, this Lady Aisha, reputed to be the most troublesome among the Campiones, lived up to her name.
"That child seems to have lost all her Campione abilities and doesn't know how to return. Moreover, the gods emerging now aren't from the world Aisha is currently in—her world is too far away."
So, for now, dealing with the chaos caused by the arrival of gods from parallel worlds couldn't rely on Aisha, which gave Pandora a particularly bad headache.
"And also, that child actually..."
"Hmm?"
What was it? John and Alice, who had been silent nearby, were very curious. What could make this goddess show such an indescribable expression?
"Aisha... in that world, she just reincarnated as an angel."
"Huh?"
"Eh? Be-became an angel?"
Annie and Alice widened their eyes, exchanging bewildered glances.
"That's right, she said she became a direct angel under the Archangel Gabriel in the Bible Pantheon over there."
Pandora's expression was equally peculiar.
Generally speaking, gods descend to become human—since when do humans become part of mythology instead?
Ah, but that's not entirely unheard of. Various mythologies do contain such cases, but those weren't pure humans—they all possessed divine bloodlines.
Or perhaps those humans were incarnations of certain gods, later re-ascending to divinity.
But Asia was a pure human who became part of mythology?
Is that world's mythology so unique?
She wanted to learn more about that mythology too. For instance, Asia mentioned that the Pantheon there was led by a second-generation deity—did that mean the original gods had died?
Unfortunately, Asia's world was too distant, making communication extremely difficult.
"But why did that woman go to such extremes? It's as if she's been provoked."
Pandora didn't think it was merely because Campione created through her rituals kept disrupting that woman's plans in this world, combined with The Last King's negligence, that drove her to directly attempt fully connecting two worlds.
"Could it be because of that Apocalypse Knight?"
Initially, they had assumed the Apocalypse Knight was that woman's creation, but now it didn't seem to be the case.
Due to the incident at Mount Nikko, The Last King was forcibly awakened, clearly appearing to target that Apocalypse Knight.
"Lady Pandora, could it be related to the Demon God I witnessed?"
Alice responded this way.
In the Bible, the arrival of the Apocalypse Knights signifies the coming of the apocalypse.
And the vision Alice saw depicted a doomsday scenario, caused by the Beast of the Apocalypse 666.
Since both 666 and the Apocalypse Knights belong to Biblical mythology, it's hard not to draw connections.
"Perhaps the gods in the parallel world cannot defeat that Demon God, so they're fleeing here through Lady Aisha's corridor to seek refuge?"
John continued this line of thought.
"Refuge? By coming here and killing gods of the same mythology, they could replace them. Could their goal be to alter the myths?"
Gods can also rewrite mythology. They can influence humans to reweave the myths.
These replacement gods would become deities of both worlds, growing more powerful.
If they further alter the myths, they could become even stronger.
Simultaneously, these replacement gods likely know the true identity of that Demon God, so they might collaborate to reweave myths about this Demon God here. Once the Demon God arrives, they could deal with it specifically?
And this Demon God is probably a monster that woman cannot control, which is why she's panicking?
Thus, Pandora shared her speculation with the two before her.
"If what you say is true, Mother, then the next targeted mythology would be the rewriting of Biblical mythology."
"Absolutely. I suspect that woman was conducting some experiment with this mythology in the parallel world too, leading to the birth of an uncontrollable Demon God. Hah, that woman messed up."
If this were truly the case, Pandora would laugh herself to death.
Alright, she couldn't laugh, because it had already spread to this world, that foolish woman.
A third-rate script editor who was both incompetent and loved to meddle, playing around until the plot went completely out of control.
"Sigh, Alice-chan, Annie, and Alexander—you three are the only ones I can truly rely on. Well, Touma counts as half. Luo Hao and Voban are such disobedient children. So I'm begging you here—find a way to deal with those corridors."
Pandora pleaded like this.
As for herself, she was powerless, unable to descend to the mortal world to help.
"Please don't say that, Lady Pandora. Protecting this world is our duty to begin with."
"Mother, I will spare no effort to stop anyone from causing chaos in this world!"
Thus, Alice withdrew from the Netherworld, intending to immediately mobilize all the magical associations across Europa.
Annie also bid farewell and left this place. She wasn't heading back right away—she planned to visit Plutarch's Hall once more to see if she could uncover any traces.
The Netherworld, the realms of mythology, and the histories of the human world were almost all recorded on the stone tablets there.
In Japan, at the Seven Heroes Shrine, a shrine maiden suddenly jolted awake.
She had another nightmare, and this one was utterly terrifying!!!
