The morning sun filtered through the bedroom curtains, casting soft golden stripes across the rumpled sheets.
Matteo stood before the full-length mirror, adjusting his tie with practiced precision.
His suit jacket lay draped over the chair, waiting.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty." Matteo's voice was warm, teasing. "Or should I say, good afternoon?"
Behind him, Felix groaned and burrowed deeper into the pillows.
"Five more minutes," Felix mumbled, his voice muffled by Egyptian cotton.
Matteo's lips curved into an amused smile.
He crossed to the bed and sat on the edge, running his fingers through Felix's sleep-tousled hair. "You said that twenty minutes ago, amore."
Felix cracked one eye open, squinting at him. "You're already dressed. Show-off."
"One of us has to be the responsible adult." Matteo leaned down, pressing a kiss to Felix's temple. "Come on. Already tired of work and it's only one day.?"
