Monster Hordes were frightening events.
Just dealing with one beast of the same was a hassle, now that difficulty was multiplied by a hundred for each person on the battle field!.
Even High Awakeners could fall victim to a Monster Horde of the lower levels!.
Hordes were grouped accordingly; Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple, Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Mithril, Adamantine, White and Black, with Green being the safest consisting of weak unranked beasts as the majority with a Rank E beast as their head and Black being the most dangerous any mortal existence has ever faced where continent-levelling powers actually accounted for the majority!
The Monster Hunts of Clearwater village was based on Green level Hordes. They were meant to allow the newly awakened youths to familiarize themselves with this newfound powers, effectively allowing their talent and skills to flourish.
To go straight to the point, the Hunts were very beneficial.
Luck's gaze landed on his father whose serious expression didn't seem to reach his vacant eyes. He seemed to be occupied with something.
"Hahahahahahahaha!!"
As if a switch flipped in Dan's brain he suddenly burst into a fit of laughter causing the village hall to shake mightily as though it had the acknowledged the fearsome existence that was currently within it.
His laughter quickly died down but by then, the mouths of numerous people in the vicinity began to twitch,
Their supposed to be their respectable chief was laughing like a beer veteran while their village was under attack.
"Relax! It's just a Blue level threat." Dan said causing a sigh of relief to spread through the crowd.
Blue-level Hordes consisted of F and E ranks as the main bulk of their with D ranks or a C-rank at best as their head.
It was safe to say that with the talent and current of their village beig able to compete with low-level cities was a breeze.
Majority of the Horde levels were not a threat to them.
Their relief was short-lived however as Dan's grin was suddenly replaced with a smirk" Why don't we let the new gen handle this one?"
'...!"
The shock on the faces of the villagers were palpable as majority of the newly awakened youths choked on their spit.
Quickly realizing the weight of his words, Dan spoke up again.
"Some of the low-level guards should follow to deal with the leaders. I'm very sure the talent of this generation can adapt to fighting above their level fairly quickly. Either way, leave the E-ranks and some of the Ds to my sons".
Dan glanced at the twins as he winked causing to roll his eyes in exasperation.
The villagers were effectively stunned to silence. There was really nothing they could do but wonder what level the chief's sons were at for him to have explicit trust in their abilities.
No one though, thought that they had awakened early due to their father's position. Their trust in their leader was great.
Luck suddenly spoke up "In that case, I guess we better start heading out">
Without waiting for a reply from anyone he had already dashed off, quickly followed by his team. Unlike the rest, they all carried their weapons with them everywhere.
Luck and Luke quickly passed the center of the village, the rest unsurprisingly keeping up with their newly bestowed abilities.
"We need to deal with the majority of the powerhouses or at least weaken them considerably so they won't be able to interfere in the other's fights.
They nodded as their eyes narrowed with battle intent, Luck and Luke unknowingly speeding up due to excitement.
Harry's brows shot up "You guys can still go faster?!"
(It's like gravity doesn't affect us at all) Luck thought to himself, ignoring Harry and catching the latter's ire.
Their steps came to a halt as they crossed the edge of the village boundaries scanning the horizon.
Or what was left after the rest was obstructed.
"Well this is going to be difficult" Terra said as she sighed helplessly.
The number of beasts went through the hundreds. IN fact, by the looks of it, the gap between them and the thousands was relatively small.
"We can handle this" Luke encouraged with a resolute expression.
"Easy for you to say" Harry muttered " Your not the one who just awakened fifteen minutes ago."
"Suck it up" Tara quipped causing the others to chuckle.
*Ding*
A bell rang through his ears, notifying him of a message update in his grimoire.
