Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Nick Fury POV:

This week hasn't exactly been the best week for Nick Fury.

He'd just had a little run-in with the Hulk. To be fair, he did go there on purpose to evaluate Banner's power level. And… yeah, maybe he did poke the bear a little too hard and cause Banner to turn into the Hulk. But Fury being Fury, he managed to calm him down before things got too bad. No casualties. No cities were destroyed. No lawsuits.

So, overall… not terrible.

But right now, sitting at his desk, staring at the video he's just been sent… Nick Fury is questioning his entire life.

He opens the file on the culprit: David Ramirez. Ordinary college student. Lives in Queens, New York. Nothing special at first glance.

Until you watch the goddamn video.

This kid's out late at night, crawling around back alleys, when he spots a group of guys ganging up on someone. And what does our hero do? He charges straight in. Gets their attention. Gets his ass kicked for about twenty seconds… and then—

Wood.

From his hands.

Giant wooden spikes erupt, impaling the attackers and draining them dry. Within seconds, they're reduced to dust. And David Ramirez just… bolts.

Now, Nick Fury has seen a lot of crazy shit in his life. He's fought wars, faced alien invasions, knows there's a green rage monster out there who can level city blocks, and hell, he's personally worked with a woman who can punch through spaceships. But this?

This is different.

He leans back in his chair, rubs his forehead, and mutters under his breath

"Kid's got no background for this. College student from Queens, plays video games, complains about his brother. How the hell does someone like that suddenly get the power to drain people dry?"

He leans back in his chair, rubs his forehead, and mutters under his breath:

"Motherfucker what the hell am I lookin' at?"

For once, Maria Hill speaks up: "Sir?"

He sighs, pointing at the screen. "This kid just turned six guys into dust, Hill. And look at his face—he didn't even know he could do it. He panicked."

She studies the footage. "…Do you think he's a threat?"

"Everybody's a threat," Fury says flatly, then pauses. "…But he's also a good candidate for the Avengers Initiative."

Hill raises a brow. "Because he killed six people?"

"Because," Fury says, locking eyes with her, "he tried to save somebody first. He jumped in without thinking twice. Kid's got power, guts, and a sense of justice. That's dangerous—but it's the good kind of dangerous."

Hill nods slowly. "…So what do we do?"

"Call Coulson," Fury orders. "Tell him I've got a new recruit to evaluate."

"Yes, sir."

As Hill leaves, Fury leans back in his chair, sighing deeply.

"This world's gettin' crazier by the damn second… S.H.I.E.L.D. better be ready for whatever the hell's comin'."

Gaia POV:

So… I gave Steve Rogers firebending powers.

And let me tell you—it's glorious.

These flames? They're OP if he uses them right. Honestly, the main reason I did it? Because he looks like Chris Evans. Chris Evans played Human Torch. Now Steve Rogers basically is Human Torch—but without the cosmic radiation.

His flames aren't normal either—they're powered by natural energy. That means he's got a limitless supply here on Earth. But… if he ever goes into space, things get tricky. No natural energy, no infinite fire. He'll be like a phone running on battery without a charger—burning power until it's gone.

Not that I expect him to leave Earth anytime soon. In the MCU, he only goes to space once, and he's not gone for long.

But enough about Steve.

It's time to troll Tony Stark.

Here's the plan: I'm giving Tony superpowers.

Now, before you roll your eyes—yes, I know I've been doing this for a lot of people, but come on. It's Tony Stark. It's gonna be hilarious.

I thought about giving him the Weapon-Weapon Fruit or the Munch-Munch Fruit from One Piece, but honestly? That'd be too broken in Tony's hands. The man would build something insane in a day.

So instead, I settled on the Brain-Brain Fruit.

Here's the deal: it gives Tony a supercomputer for a brain. His intelligence will skyrocket, his calculations will become god-tier, and, best part… his ego's gonna get even bigger than it already is. The reason I chose this fruit is because I just want to see Tony Stark - the world's smartest man - get a huge head, which is literally the side effect of the Brain-Brain Fruit. Watching him deal with that? Worth it.

The fruit will manifest in his cell after he's kidnapped in Afghanistan. Once he eats it… boom. Genius dialed up to 20.

Captain America POV:

Steve Rogers stands on the ice, surrounded by an endless, white expanse. Nothing but cold silence stretching in every direction. The sun hangs low, pale and distant.

He exhales, his breath steaming. "…Okay," he mutters under his breath. "Pick a direction, Rogers."

He starts walking.

Then it hits him.

He can fly.

Well… sort of.

Steve closes his eyes, focuses on the warmth deep in his chest, and suddenly flames burst from his boots. He rockets forward, stumbling, spinning—completely unsteady.

"Whoa—whoa, WHOA!" he shouts, arms flailing as he nearly faceplants mid-air.

His hands ignite instinctively, little jets of fire blasting from his palms as he tries to stabilize himself. The result? Absolute chaos.

For a moment, he's zipping around like he's strapped to a malfunctioning rocket, barely in control, fire shooting in every direction. And then—

BOOM.

Steve shoots straight upward, leaving a trail of flames behind him. The wind roars in his ears as he climbs higher, faster, faster still—

500 miles per hour.

600.

700.

800.

He tears through the sound barrier with a deafening crack, the shockwave rattling the icy plains below.

Captain America is flying.

He glances down at the endless white expanse stretching beneath him, heart pounding. For a moment, despite the confusion, despite not knowing what the hell is happening…

He grins.

"…Guess I'll figure the rest out on the way," he mutters, steadying his flight path.

Where he's going? Only time will tell.

Author Note - Writing this chapter was hard because I had no idea what to do, so please give me ideas. Also, sorry if the Nick Fury dialogue is bad - I'm really confused about how he speaks. All I really remember about him is he says motherfucker a lot, he cares about the safety of the world, and he calls Coulson a lot, lol
