Chapter 282 - Eternal Continuum

A few days had passed within Origin headquarters. Adrian stood in a training chamber within the central Origin construct, watching a young disciple gather divine essence around his body before disappearing from his position. He reappeared farther across the chamber, his feet settling firmly on the floor as the last traces of the spell faded. After checking the mana flowing through his body, he turned and prepared to use Continuity Step again.

He was the Earth-born disciple whose natural affinity for Time had made him the first of the four candidates to reach its final threshold. His body and willforce had fully recovered since the trial, and he had already gained the required comprehension of Space, Life, and Void before completing his comprehension of Time. Once he was ready to resume cultivation, he had followed the method within Adrian's inheritance sphere, joined the four concepts into the new foundation, and formed his first Rule Core. Now he was using its Low-level spell without Adrian helping him maintain it.

"Excellent. This shows that the divine concept I created is safe and usable by ordinary cultivators without any of the advantages I possess. Now I can focus on the second divine concept, one built around destruction and attack power, and eventually create a complete Astral inheritance for Origin." Adrian thought.

The disciple disappeared again and emerged near the opposite side of the chamber. Adrian watched the remaining fluctuations settle, but his thoughts had already moved toward what should come next.

"If I combine the Arcane Concept of Destruction with the Prime Arcane Concepts of Severance, Causality, and Chaos, I should be able to create an extremely powerful divine concept focused entirely on destructive ability."

This idea had been in his mind for some time, but just as he considered the four concepts he wanted to use, several difficulties came to his mind.

"My comprehension of the Arcane Concept of Destruction is still only at the Basic Galactic level. Even with Elder Varcain searching marketplaces across multiple galaxies, he has not found anyone willing to sell the knowledge I need."

That alone prevented Adrian from completing the concept immediately, but it was not the only difficulty.

"Even if I obtain the knowledge of Destruction, asking ordinary cultivators to learn several Prime Arcane Concepts will not be simple. They might impose trials just as Time did. That never happened to me when I dealt with those Prime Concepts because I immediately used the Source, but that should not be an impossible problem anymore."

He still understood almost nothing about the existential records the strange book had altered. Even so, the result of his encounter with the Will of Time had shown him a practical method he could attempt again.

"If Severance, Causality, or Chaos tries to impose a trial upon my people, I can follow the same process. I can command the Will of that concept not to test them and let those records make the same change."

The disciple paused between attempts, allowing the mana circulating through his newly formed Rule Core to settle. Adrian watched him for a moment before another concern replaced the previous one.

Prime Arcane Concepts demanded more than comprehension.

"Even little Aerin, with her natural connection to Chaos, cannot wield its power without damaging her body. She has already reached the High Rule Stage and spent years strengthening herself under Hestia, yet using Chaos still places enormous strain upon her."

If someone without Aerin's natural connection attempted to cultivate Chaos, Severance, and Causality together, the physical burden could become even worse.

"Anyone following the path I am imagining would need an extremely powerful body before they could safely use those concepts. Ordinary physical training will not be enough, and even Hestia's alchemical methods would take too long if we wanted large numbers of cultivators to reach that standard."

Adrian remained silent as the disciple prepared another Continuity Step. His thoughts moved through the training methods he had encountered since leaving Earth, until he remembered another type of cultivation that existed specifically for strengthening the physical body.

"I need to find a body art."

The answer immediately felt more practical than trying to force ordinary conditioning to accomplish something it had never been designed to achieve.

"If I can find a powerful enough body cultivation art, our disciples could strengthen themselves much faster and build the foundation needed to withstand Prime Arcane Concepts. If I also obtain the Advanced Galactic knowledge of Destruction and finish the second divine concept before their bodies are ready, the two parts could come together at the right time."

It would not be quick. Even with Origin's accelerated headquarters, improved comprehension methods, and abundant resources, an inheritance built around several Prime Arcane Concepts would require careful preparation. The disciples would need stronger bodies, the required conceptual knowledge, stable cultivation methods, and enough time to master everything without destroying themselves through impatience.

But if he succeeded, the sect would possess an extremely powerful Astral path, and the people following it would have a much safer future.

"What are you thinking about?"

Adrian turned slightly and looked toward Hestia, who had been standing nearby while watching the disciple's repeated attempts.

"Nothing much. I was just thinking about our next steps," Adrian replied.

Hestia continued watching the disciple for another moment before looking at him. "Our first immediate step, before anything else, should be naming this divine concept. We cannot keep calling it Origin's foundational divine concept forever."

"You are right," Adrian said.

"Do you have anything in mind?"

The question barely had time to settle before a name surfaced within Adrian's thoughts. "Eternal Continuum."

"Eternal Continuum," Hestia repeated quietly, considering how the words fit the concept and the spells derived from it, before giving a small nod. "It sounds nice. Then it will be Eternal Continuum from now on."

Across the chamber, the disciple completed another Continuity Step and returned to his original position. Adrian and Hestia continued watching long enough to confirm that the foundation remained stable after repeated use. The first test had succeeded, and that success was enough to allow the rest of Origin to begin moving forward.

…

From that day, news of the successful test began reaching everyone. Many had been waiting to learn whether the foundation Adrian had created could truly be cultivated by someone else. Now the first candidate had formed it and used one of its spells, giving those disciples the answer they needed before beginning their own studies.

The knowledge of Time, Space, Life, and Void became available to those who wished to follow Origin's foundation. Adrian's command had removed the Epoch Crucible from their path, though they still needed to comprehend the four concepts and learn how to combine them.

Through Origin Net, disciples selected the concepts and inheritances they wished to study. Their requests were matched with the appropriate knowledge, and spheres were supplied through the sect's facilities, free of charge and without any service owed in return. Each person received material suited to their current understanding, with further knowledge available as they progressed.

On the Elyrian world, some younger cultivators chose Eternal Continuum before forming their first Rule Cores, while others continued their ancestral inheritance or took an interest in Fate. Similar choices spread among the Origin warriors and Adrian's companions from the Milky Way, whose cultivation ranged from those still preparing their first Essence Seeds to experienced Rule cultivators.

Within Azure Garden, Caelum helped Crimson Vital's disciples determine which additions their existing foundations allowed. Those who had already committed Life to a Rule Core could not form Eternal Continuum, but the Fate inheritance or the Devour–Ruination path remained open to them. Meanwhile, Octaven and Kaelar gathered willing recruits for the new combat force, keeping its knowledge and training within the facilities assigned to that department.

Hestia coordinated instructors, cultivation resources, and training spaces for the different groups, arranging shared instruction where it was useful while allowing others to study alone. The requests also showed Lysandra which knowledge was most needed, helping her direct the production formations toward the appropriate spheres.

Selena prepared the training chambers and checked their formations and mana supplies, while Lara arranged cultivation resources and recovery support. Adrian helped with formations that required his understanding of Eternal Continuum and worked directly with its first instructors. Their questions revealed parts of his records that needed clearer explanations, which he went through with them before they began teaching their students.

Over the next few headquarters days, the prepared chambers filled with disciples.

Young cultivators began studying the concepts that would eventually form their first true foundation, while older disciples worked through knowledge capable of extending the cultivation paths they already possessed. Some pursued Eternal Continuum, others remained with ancestral inheritances, and still others entered the specialized paths Origin was beginning to establish around Fate, Devour, and Ruination.

Across the inhabited worlds, the Central Origin Construct, and Azure Garden, the knowledge Adrian had gathered was becoming part of other people's cultivation, and a new period of cultivation began throughout Origin.
