"Here you go; I managed to get more books from the academy like you requested," Ishtar uttered, gently placing the stacks of books on the table.
In the chair next to the table, Dorian was seated, dressed in nothing but his underwear and a grey singlet.
He had a book open on his palm and another on the table, all while he held a cup of wine in one hand.
"Is that all?" he asked.
"Yes, it is. You've read a total of 10 books in the span of a few minutes. How exactly does my husband's brain work?"
Ishtar bent down not too far from his legs and placed both her hands on her thighs so she could fully balance herself.
Dorian looked at her. "You could say I was only skimming through them. Nothing major."
The moment he uttered those words, he immediately turned his attention back to the books.
Ishtar pouted.
