Chapter 81 - Mcu-A new adventure cap 81

Several minutes later, Susan and her father were chatting while sitting on the office couch as Peter continued reviewing some documents.

Or at least that's what he wanted them to believe.

After all, Alfred had already filled him in on the details of how the Baxter group operated and how Franklin had concealed his movements.

Even without Alfred's help, Peter could read all these documents in seconds.

But because he wanted his performance to seem more credible, he had to pretend to make an effort to review these documents.

Reading the documents again, Peter shook his head at the amount of money a gambling addict could lose.

$500 million!

When Peter found out about this, he couldn't help but be surprised.

Even being a millionaire didn't make him different from a normal person, and he could fall into the clutches of a vice.

Having more money only gave a person more opportunities to indulge their vices.

But even so, Peter couldn't help but be surprised by the amount of money a person addicted to gambling could lose.

Especially when he was the father of Susan Storm, the future invisible woman.

This made Peter wonder if Franklin's troubles had occurred within the Fantastic Four storyline. But since anything could happen in the Marvel multiverse, Peter shrugged and could only assume that Franklin was saved because his daughter and her friends gained powers.

After all, the people who lent him money weren't good people, and they didn't want to attract the attention of superheroes.

And it is through these people that Peter learned of Franklin Storm's problems.

And how did Peter get close to these people?

Well, it's a rather long story.

In addition to his part-time job as Spider-Man, which he only does a few times a week, and there have even been whole weeks without him going out on the street in his uniform, he also has another, less heroic job where he visits every criminal gang he can in a single night and eliminates them with total prejudice.

Drug trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, extortion, etc.

There are many crimes happening every day, and Peter doesn't believe that going out to catch a few thieves will change anything.

Therefore, I set aside the red and blue uniform and chose an all-black, ninja-like uniform to visit these criminal gangs and eliminate them.

After capturing a few criminals, it is easy to interrogate them or use telepathy to obtain their secrets and learn how the underworld operates.

Therefore, it was easy for him to invade locations important to these gangs and eliminate them from within.

Of course, Peter took his time first to learn their secrets and the information they had about other gangs before choosing to eliminate them or turn them into test subjects for the numerous experiments that keep his shadow clones alive.

With telepathy and the ability to create space portals to anywhere in the world, it was easy for Peter to visit and eliminate one or more criminal gangs in a single night before returning to do the job again the following week.

After all, he didn't want to impose an almost impossible task on his life, so it was enough for him to try to make the world a better place while he took his breaks.

And the results proved him right.

Crime rates had plummeted and continued to fall every week as criminals realized their jobs were now too dangerous.

And not only in New York City, but also throughout the country and the rest of the American continent.

After all, New York City is now free of criminal gangs and the rest of the country is going the same way, so it made sense for Peter to visit other countries when he was following the trails of human and drug trafficking organizations.

Fearing they would be the next target, the surviving criminals could only stop their misdeeds and pray for mercy for their innocent souls.

Of course, Peter took pity on them and sent them to the other world for free so they could apologize to their victims when he arrived.

It didn't matter if they stopped their misdeeds and went into hiding.

Peter just needed a clue or a possible witness to find out their identities and locations and pay them a visit.

Especially those who were free because there was no evidence against them.

Peter only had to use telepathy to know if they were guilty or not and decide whether to kill them or turn them into laboratory rats depending on the degree of their crimes.

And why was Peter mentioning this?

Besides explaining what he's been doing to reduce his workload as Spider-Man, which has decreased a lot because crime rates have plummeted, he also wanted to explain how he had so much money.

The first reason is thanks to ALFRED.

In addition to ALFRED's ability to study and predict stock market movements worldwide, his espionage capabilities are unmatched globally, and he is able to obtain insider information in advance and predict what will happen in the future.

Therefore, Peter is able to predict which company stocks will rise or fall and make a fortune from it.

And the second reason is that he is 'laundering' the money he obtained from these criminal gangs.

After all, it was a waste to destroy the money of these criminal gangs, and Peter chose to put it to better use.

In addition to several of his clones donating food, clothing, and medicine to orphanages and charities worth nearly a billion dollars, he is laundering the rest of the money through his 'investment services'.

Logically, these criminal gangs need a way to launder their money and have proxies and front companies.

What Peter did was keep some people alive and control them in order to gather money from all these gangs and give it to him through his 'investment services'.

After all, Parker Investments is now a well-known investment firm, and many have entrusted their money to it.

Therefore, it would not be surprising if a few people with millions to spare paid him a considerable sum to hire his services.

And although it's a slow process, it's been going wonderfully.

Even though he has laundered less than $500 million, he is in no hurry to launder the remaining billions just yet.

Especially when ALFRED and his gaming company have allowed him to earn hundreds of millions of dollars and have almost a billion dollars in cash in total.

Returning to Franklin's problems, it was thanks to some of his controlled criminals that he learned of Franklin's debts.

Banks aren't the only ones who lend money. Many other people do as well, due to the large profit margins they earn from high interest rates.

And since it's a good way to launder money, many criminal gangs do it too.

Since Peter now controls these criminals, he learned about the guy who owed $500 million and quickly sought out his information.

Knowing who his daughter was made him realize that he might not be able to collect that money soon.

But he wasn't too bothered because he quickly thought of using this to his advantage.

That's why he used these controlled criminals to fabricate a play and get close to Franklin.

Their goal?

To profit from this space journey.

Unaware that Peter was acting, Susan looked at Peter after her father showed her the recordings of Peter and explained how he had lost money and how he had discreetly stolen money from the company to continue gambling.

Susan felt she would get a headache thinking about what might have happened.

The recordings that his father gave him, and which he said Peter had brought, contained a recording of a conversation between a group of people who were planning to release information about his father's theft from the company.

Although they had no proof, these guys had guessed that their father had stolen money from his company to gamble and pay off part of his debt to them because they knew that their father didn't have that much money.

And although they had no proof, the rumors they would spread on the internet would initially affect Baxter Group's stock and cause it to plummet when an investigation was carried out.

In the end, with the fall in the price of Baxter Group shares, they would make a fortune and Susan's father would go to prison.

And although they may not be able to collect the $500 million that Franklin owed, they would earn much more if they bet on the fall in the price of Baxter Group shares.
