Ch: 100-109

Chapter 100: Homelander and The Seven!

A towering figure hovered in the air, his blonde hair shining brightly and a model-like smile plastered on his face. He wore a star-spangled uniform, and his cape flapped loudly in the wind.

A red glow spilled from his eyes as he forced Hulk back with a blast, sending him flying. He then landed beside Kingpin, his voice full of concern.

"Mr. Mayor, are you injured?"

Homelander expressed his concern.

The other members of The Seven also stood before Kingpin one after another, shielding him behind them to face Hulk alone.

The registered heroes of the Westview Illusion were none other than The Seven!

Homelander was essentially a low-budget version of Superman, possessing flight, super strength, super speed, super hearing, and heat vision!

Queen Maeve, whose setting was based on Wonder Woman, possessed immense strength and invulnerability.

A-Train was incredibly fast, capable of running at supersonic speeds.

Lamplighter could control fire for attacks.

The Deep could communicate with marine life and stir up typhoons and tsunamis.

Translucent wore a black uniform, but his skin was made of a carbon metamaterial that could block light, achieving an invisibility effect.

Black Noir was the combat genius of The Seven, proficient in all firearms and weapons.

Meanwhile, with Hulk's massive build and hideous face nearby, who could possibly associate him with being a hero?

He was clearly the villain!

Because Hulk had attacked Kingpin!

"Hulk, good guy!"

Hulk pointed at himself, nearly bursting with anger as he tried to explain to the bystanders. However, the disgusted looks they gave him stung him deeply!

"Hulk, there's no need to explain."

"The Westview Illusion has rewritten their perception and even created The Seven. Everyone has forgotten that you are the real Avenger."

Linn spoke in a comforting tone.

However, because he stood side-by-side with Hulk, he was also treated as a criminal, with bystanders throwing vegetables and eggs at him.

A surge of Levitation Power poured out.

The eggs thrown with force were all frozen in mid-air, causing Homelander to frown as a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.

"An ugly Hulk actually dares to attack my most beloved Mayor of New York City?"

"Who gave you the guts? Who gave you the courage? And where did you even spring from?"

Homelander rose off the ground, his feet creating a vortex that swirled the surrounding dust.

He surmised that the Hulk and Linn before him might also be enhanced individuals who had been injected with Compound V.

After all, the formula for Compound V was worth a fortune, and many tech companies were planning to replicate it.

In San Francisco on the West Coast, there was an enterprise named the Life Foundation.

Its stock had been climbing recently. Word was that during space travel, they had captured a mysterious substance capable of providing enhancement.

"Kingpin, criminal!"

Hulk's lips trembled. He retained all his memories and knew Kingpin was the criminal, but in the Westview Illusion's persona, he was the Mayor of New York!

Therefore, no matter how Hulk argued, in the eyes of the surrounding residents, he was a heinous criminal!

"Issue a wanted warrant in my name!"

"Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Thor Odinson..."

"They all come from the same criminal organization!"

"They must be arrested and brought to justice immediately! Hang them, hang them all!"

Kingpin's eyes gleamed with cunning.

He decided to use his power to smear the Avengers. Even if the Avengers woke up, they wouldn't be able to fight the state machine!

"Hang them?"

"Respected Mr. Mayor, it shouldn't be a problem to just kill this monster directly, right?"

A red glow appeared in Homelander's eyes as a wicked smile curled his lips.

"No problem at all!"

Kingpin nodded secretly.

Although he didn't think Homelander could successfully kill Hulk, there was still The Seven. Wasn't seven against one enough?

Hum!

Two beams of blazing red light shot out like lasers, hitting Hulk in the blink of an eye. Hulk felt a surge of intense pain and couldn't help but roar.

Lamplighter waved his hands, pouring out a torrent of scalding flames that engulfed Hulk once more!

Queen Maeve lifted a stone slab and hurled it violently at Hulk!

"Not good."

"Hulk's losing his temper."

Linn decisively retreated. In a state of berserk rage, Hulk wouldn't recognize friend or foe; whoever was closest would get beaten!

As Linn rose high into the air, Hulk slammed his hands together. An invisible shockwave dispersed the flames and heat beams. He kicked off the ground with his hind legs, charging like a cannonball.

He grabbed Lamplighter's neck and squeezed his fingers!

The sound of bones cracking rang out.

Lamplighter was dead!

"Hulk, very angry!"

Hulk's eyes turned completely blood-red, and an explosive aura overflowed from his body.

He looked at Homelander again, shot straight into the sky, and swung his fist at him!

"What?"

"He's completely unharmed?"

Homelander's pupils shrank, and he hurriedly raised his fist to strike back fiercely!

However, his super strength was worthless before Hulk. Intense pain shot through his wrist—it was clearly dislocated!

"Damn it!"

"What kind of monster is this!"

Homelander's eyes widened in shock.

However, Queen Maeve, The Deep, Translucent, A-Train, and even Black Noir ganging up on him together couldn't suppress Hulk.

Hulk swung his arms, flinging them into the distance. Their backs slammed into brick walls, creating cracks with every impact.

"Protect Mayor Kingpin!"

Homelander's eyes were sharp.

He immediately grabbed Kingpin and flew away. He couldn't just run away alone, as that would diminish his influence.

Kingpin's eyes glinted coldly.

"It seems... I must wait until Hulk turns back into Dr. Banner to kill him!"

Kingpin reached a safe zone. Although he held the heavenly hammer, he never dared to strike.

Because Venerable Lin En had sealed a demon on the spot!

A statue that could bring the dead back to life had been thrown into Hell by Linn!

Perhaps only magic could defeat magic!

"Who knows how to use magic?"

"I think I have a Sheriff Black in my phone who oversees Section 13 on the West Coast. He once mentioned magic..."

Kingpin swiped to unlock his screen and dialed the number.

Section 13.

It was like a replica of S.H.I.E.L.D., responsible for national and logistical strategic security, one level higher than Fobole!

"Mayor Kingpin?"

"What are your orders?"

Sheriff Black's voice came through, his tone sounding surprised. He seemingly hadn't expected Kingpinto call him personally.

"Sheriff, you mentioned Chi magic and that archaeologist. I was deeply impressed."

"I've encountered a demon now, and I need that archaeologist to provide me with assistance."

Kingpin spoke bluntly.

"You mean Jackie Chan? That's right, his Uncle is a Chi Wizard! They even formed the Dragon Squad!"

"I will bring Jackie Chan to New York. Don't be nervous, Mr. Mayor."

Black smiled.

Soon, a big-nosed archaeologist, accompanied by his niece and Uncle, arrived at Section 13. Beside them was a sumo wrestler.

There was also Tohru, wearing a mask, and the world-class thief Viper in her tight suit.

"Aiya!"

"Why wake Uncle up in the middle of the night?"

The thin old man with a raspy voice rubbed his eyes, his face full of reluctance.

"Uncle, Mayor Kingpin has encountered a demon and needs the support of the Dragon Squad."

Sheriff Black said seriously.

"Yay! The Dragon Squad is going to New York! Doesn't that mean we'll get to see The Seven and Homelander?"

A beautiful young girl cheered.

She was a die-hard fan of Homelander.

"Just now, a monster attacked The Seven and even killed Lamplighter. The images were very brutal."

"Jade."

"This isn't a trip. You should stay at home."

Sheriff Black advised.

"Stay at home?"

Jade's large eyes blinked, but she wasn't discouraged, because she had a secret skill called 'taking the stairs'.

She snuck directly into the passenger plane and headed for the East Coast with the Dragon Squad.

New York.

The Statue of Liberty stood tall.

Holding her torch high.

Faint crimson energy flickered.

As time passed, the scale of the Westview Illusion almost completely covered reality, overlapping with the dimension one-to-one!

Beings who fell into the illusion had their perceptions and memories rewritten. Superpowered individuals fell to the mortal realm, but it also granted ordinary people abilities.

Chapter 101: Awakening the Quicksilver! (Seeking Gold Tickets!)

Westview Community.

A Mystic Gate lit up.

Linn exerted his Levitation Power, wrapping around the Hulk to exit in time, preventing the Hulk from destroying New York.

Meanwhile, Natasha's expression was one of panic.

She had already seen the announcement from Mayor Kingpin through the news programs, listing her as a wanted criminal.

Besides her, there were Tony Stark, Thor Odinson, Clint Barton... all were residents of Westview Town!

"Linn, what's the situation?"

"And what kind of monster is he?"

Natasha's face was full of fear.

In her memory, she had never seen the Hulk.

However, upon seeing Natasha, the Hulk's eyes suddenly cleared a bit; the Hulk's mental level was not static, it could evolve from an infant to a teenager.

He was now roughly in his adolescence.

"Nat..."

The Hulk's eyes showed tenderness.

Only Natasha had never detested him!

"Call everyone else over; I have something to announce."

Linn's expression was serious.

A moment later.

The Avengers gathered together in the living room, completely baffled. Seeing the Hulk's appearance, their expressions became incredibly tense.

They were terrified that the Hulk would harm them.

"Don't worry, the Hulk is our partner. I'm going to reveal a truth: this is not the real World. To be precise, we are within an illusion."

"A large-scale instance woven by Chaos Magic."

Linn's words were shocking.

The Avengers' eyes filled with bewilderment; they looked at each other, completely unable to understand.

"What do you mean? Linn?"

"Could it be that I'm not a toy merchant, but was a billionaire before?"

Tony joked.

However, Linn nodded seriously. "Exactly, you are a billionaire. But Wanda wove this illusion and rewrote your perception and identity. Based on my observations, this is equivalent to a substitution."

"Simply put, the Westview Illusion is a parallel Universe. In this parallel Universe, you aren't a billionaire or a super genius; you're just a toy merchant."

Linn explained simply.

He had been thinking and observing why The Seven, the Xiongbing Company, and the eight great demons appeared in the Westview Illusion.

He had finally deciphered the secret of the illusion.

To give a simple example, Tony Stark is a super genius, but in the illusion, he is a toy merchant; this represents another possibility.

Kingpin was originally a criminal, but he became the Mayor of New York City.

Homelander was just a civilian, yet he transformed into a superhero.

This is a persona bestowed by identity!

Homelander had always existed in the previous World, but only as a civilian; no one knew of his existence, just as Linn was nothing but a 'beast of burden' before he transmigrated.

However, with the emergence of the Westview Illusion, Homelander went from civilian to hero, all thanks to Chaos Magic!

"So... Chaos Magic turned me into a fire Captain, and made the previous fire Captain become me?"

Steve's brow furrowed tightly.

He seemed to understand Linn's meaning.

"Exactly!"

"It's a form of identity substitution. You became someone else, someone else became you, and everything changed."

"But this isn't real history. The Hulk and I retained our memories. Don't look at his current appearance; he's actually a super genius too."

Linn nodded, feeling gratified in his heart.

It seemed... Chaos Magic only rewrote identities and didn't rewrite brains and intelligence.

Just like Tony Stark being able to invent various toys, it meant his technical level was still top-notch!

"I'm really a billionaire?"

"Hearing you say that, I'm actually getting excited!"

"But how do we restore our memories?"

Tony Stark's face showed joy.

If he were a billionaire, why would he need to make toys? How much could toys even earn?

"Hulk."

"It's your turn to perform."

Linn held one hand toward the sky.

Immediately, a substance like prism shards enveloped the Westview Community, dragging several people into the Projection Space.

The Hulk gave a wicked grin and suddenly let out a roar, giving the Avengers a jolt of terror!

"Damn it!"

"And you said he wasn't a monster?"

"Wait!"

"Why is my hammer glowing?"

Thor reacted instinctively, raising mjolnir. He saw arcs of electricity dancing, but they didn't cause any harm, which he found very miraculous.

Even Captain America clenched his fists and instinctively said a line: "I can do this all day!"

"Wait, what's going on?"

"My head..."

Tony felt a stabbing pain in his head.

Due to the Hulk's roar, the Avengers present were stimulated, and a crack appeared in their rewritten perceptions and memories.

Even scenes they had never experienced flashed rapidly before their eyes.

It was enough to prove Linn's words: the Westview Illusion was definitely not reality!

"Venerable Lin En, I've remembered everything."

Steve took a deep breath.

He was Captain America!

The super soldier who once pummeled Nazis and wiped out the HYDRA organization. He had only come to the Westview Community to celebrate Wanda's housewarming, but accidentally fell into the illusion.

"Where is Wanda?"

"To break this illusion, only Wanda can do it?"

Tony pinched his chin.

He also remembered everything!

He was a super genius, a bona fide billionaire, and the World-famous Iron Man.

What he excelled at wasn't toys, but iron man armor!

However, in the Westview Illusion, there was no arc reactor; it must have been substituted with some other technological product.

"Identity substitution, rewriting cognition."

"The Chaos Magic Wanda possesses can actually reach this level?"

Quicksilver looked worried.

Wanda, his twin sister.

His closest kin, the sibling he depended on for survival, yet he hadn't seen Wanda—no one had seen Wanda.

"Based on my guess, Wanda should be at Westview TV, the Broadcasting Building."

"And that is also Nightmare's territory."

"Nightmare hypnotized Wanda to weave the Westview Illusion, and there are demons in the illusion too. We must unite to have a chance to revert to reality."

Linn's words were blunt.

At least he was no longer fighting alone. Natasha had also woken up, and remembering their previous intimacy, she couldn't help but blush.

"Venerable Lin En, please don't take offense at the misunderstandings that happened before."

Natasha's eyes showed bashfulness.

She had never experienced that kind of peak-and-valley sensation before.

Perhaps Linn's seed was even taking root and sprouting.

"Don't worry about those details."

"I will craft equipment for you. We must be wary of The Seven and the G-Men."

Linn's face was calm.

He would arm the Avengers as much as possible!

"G-Men?"

"There's such an organization?"

Falcon Sam asked in surprise.

"Chaos Magic rewrote reality, and a superhero academy called Godolkin University appeared in New York. The mentors of this academy form the G-Men."

"They are essentially a knock-off version of the X-Men."

Linn began his operations on the spot.

He took materials from his storage space to custom-forge artifacts for the Avengers!

He gave Hawkeye a longbow enchanted with arcane runes; energy arrows would appear as long as the bow was drawn.

He made a pair of running shoes for Quicksilver, allowing him to run on water and the sides of buildings as if on flat ground, and even briefly step on air, achieving an effect like the Moonwalk.

He forged a shield for Captain America; he had obtained Vibranium before, and using fire energy to smelt it, the surface shimmered with a sharp light.

Then, he summoned a combat doll, and the rune reactor on its chest formed an exoskeleton armor, which he gifted to Tony.

"What about me?"

Thor pointed to himself.

Falcon Sam got flight wings, and Natasha got a magic artifact, but he hadn't received anything!

"You have a hammer, isn't that enough?"

Linn chuckled.

"Linn, don't be biased!"

"We were the first brothers to know each other!"

Thor looked indignant.

He had already remembered his previous life, Linn's visit to Asgard, the feat of repairing the Bifrost Bridge, and even resolving the Dark Elves!

"Alright."

Linn shook his head with a wry smile.

Immediately, he smelted Vibranium and uru metal into a suit of battle armor.

This finally made Thor beam with joy.

Chapter 102: talisman vs. Dragon Squad!

Crossing the Mystic Gate.

The group arrived at Westview TV Station.

It was the local radio broadcast building.

A transmission tower stood against the dome.

Yet not a single soul entered or left.

As if the broadcast building had no staff at all.

Linn had already investigated: this was Nightmare's hideout and the source of the Westview Illusion. Nightmare was inside, rewriting identities and fabricating false reality.

"So you've finally come?"

"Linn, you can't defeat me now. I am the lord of the Westview Illusion; here I can weave everything!"

Nightmare glanced at the monitor, a cold gleam in his eyes.

His face twisted, and creatures materialized out of thin air—demons familiar and unknown—filling the broadcast building!

Dark clouds churned overhead, blackening the sky.

The tower felt like a Ghost Realm.

It showcased the power the Nightmare Lord had gained after hypnotizing Wanda: Chaos Magic and dream laws weaving all things.

And this was no mere fear-vision—these were physical beings. death inside the Westview Illusionmeant death in reality.

"Quicksilver, go find Wanda."

"She might be here."

Linn turned and ordered.

Beside him, Pietro shot forward, runes of Arcane Arts glowing on his shoes. He ran across the air, dodging every demon, and slipped into the broadcast building!

Inside he found endless rooms and doors, and lost his target.

The nearest door he opened released a blast of cold; a Frost Giant roared and swung its club.

"F***!"

"Every door leads to a different realm?"

Quicksilver left after-images, evading the Frost Giant's strikes, but the creature kept chasing. Each door he opened spilled out new monsters, crowding the corridor in seconds!

Luckily, shadows rose from the floor—crimson-eyed ninja soldiers—blocking the monsters and giving Pietro a breather as he sprinted to the second floor.

But the second floor was the same!

Countless rooms and doors.

Quicksilver's vision blurred.

Because every door hid monsters!

Meanwhile…

Captain America charged with his shield, leading the Avengers into battle. Despite the identity swap, he remained a super-soldier, his combat instincts intact.

With Linn's crafted magic artifacts, the Avengers smashed Nightmare's constructs, which burst into smoke and vanished.

Entering the tower and seeing the horde, Steve's mouth twitched.

"Nightmare…"

"Has he mastered Chaos Magic? Or is the Westview Illusion itself just a dream?"

Tony Stark frowned.

Clad in exo-armor, he raised his hand and fired a repulsor blast, magical rays blowing monsters apart in moments.

But more monsters surged in, swarming the Avengers—an overwhelming, suffocating tide!

"Aiya!"

"Why is there demonic aura here?"

"So many demons!"

"Toru, Jackie!"

A raspy duck-like voice rang out.

A helicopter hovered into view.

An old man with a Saiyan-style hairdo clutched dried pufferfish and geckos, eyes wide with fright behind his lenses as he called his student and nephew.

"Bad luck!"

"Bad, bad, bad luck!"

"Who's the bad guy? Who's the good guy?"

Jackie Chan's eyes bulged.

Earlier, arriving in New York from the West Coast, he'd met Mayor Kingpin, who claimed the Avengerswere criminals living in Westview Community.

Yet when he reached Westview, he found the Avengers fully armed, fighting demons.

Instant confusion!

Who were the real criminals?

Would criminals beat up demons?

Especially the unstoppable Hulk, who roared at a harpy, leapt, and swatted it out of the sky when it dove toward the helicopter!

"Hulk good guy!"

Hulk thumped his chest.

Dragon Squad was speechless.

"Aiya! Must beat magic with magic!"

"That big fella just now had no demonic scent—clearly we were fooled!"

Uncle sniffed the air.

At once he judged fairly: the Avengers must be the good guys.

"Yay!"

"Uncle saw through the evil mayor's plot!"

Jade cheered, arms high.

Her sudden appearance made Jackie lose control of his expression, but knowing her tricks, he could only grit his teeth.

"Jade, don't wander off!"

"It's extremely dangerous here!"

Jackie used his stern-parent voice.

Then, with Dragon Squad, he rappelled down, deciding to fight alongside the Avengers and clean out the demons first.

"I'm Steve Rogers. In the previous World they called me Captain America."

Captain introduced himself.

"What previous World?"

"But I'm Jackie Chan—an archaeologist and consultant for Section 13."

Jackie nodded firmly.

"There's a place called Section 13?"

Natasha and Barton frowned.

Yet in the Westview Illusion, anything was possible!

There was no point questioning truth; only by breaking the illusion would the swapped identities end.

As for what consequences might follow?

The Avengers had no time to worry.

"Perhaps the 'lucky ones' inside the Westview Illusion will keep their powers…"

Linn hovered in the air, his red hood flapping as he soared past the monsters to the building's dome.

Through the glass he saw Nightmare disguised as a plain middle-aged man—ordinary-looking, yet his eyes gleamed with malice.

"Linn, you kept your memories and even woke the Avengers?"

"How did you do it?"

Nightmare asked, utterly baffled.

After all, Chaos Magic overrides everything; anyone caught in the illusion should have their mind rewritten.

Yet Linn remained unaffected!

It was completely unexpected.

If Linn had been rewritten, Nightmare's plan would have succeeded: the Westview Illusion would cover reality, and by hypnotizing the Scarlet Witch, he could sweep through the Nine Realms.

He would rule the stars!

"You? Hah! Take a piss and look at yourself—without Chaos Magic you're nothing."

"And you're far from worthy of controlling Chaos Magic."

Linn sneered.

He had already spotted Wanda behind Nightmare, encased in a scarlet sphere, deep in slumber.

It was Wanda who had created the Westview Illusion!

As for Nightmare?

He was nothing but a Joker about to be forged into a talisman—soon erased from existence!

"Wanda…"

"You're in great danger; you must protect yourself…"

Nightmare whispered into her ear, voice heavy with suggestion.

Wanda's brows knitted; Chaos Magic surged, weaving a solid form in mid-air—a regal queen in red robes and crown.

The figure was entirely red, faceless, yet brimmed with infinite power—Wanda's mental construct!

"A mental construct…"

"If I hurt it, Wanda will suffer too."

Linn's face turned grave.

He saw Nightmare's scheme: the whispers had made Wanda spin the Westview Illusion and grant new identities to mortals.

Yet no matter how it pained him, he had to fight the construct—only enough shock could wake Wanda!

Everything else would wait.

Clang!

Linn gripped the black death sword, a fierce aura rippling out and shaking the illusion's sky.

Crimson waves spiraled around the blade.

He could absorb energy—he already possessed Chaos Magic!

But the mental construct raged; with a wave it tore the heavens into a storm of energy!

Chapter 103 – Chaos Magic Has Gained Sentience!

Scarlet Witch flicked her finger, sending tremors through the Westview Illusion; the crystalline shell of energy encasing the planet began to ripple.

At this moment the Westview Illusion had swallowed Reality, turning Earth into an isolated dimension.

Outside Earth nothing had changed; inside, reality and perception were rewritten—anything became possible!

Even Dimensional Demon Gods and Demon Lords marveled at the anomaly in Midgard; it was simply inconceivable.

Chaos Magic.

It had reshaped reality from within.

A figure even appeared in the void, eyes glowing like a Western monk standing amid Nebula, its expression unfathomably deep.

"The Westview Illusion Wanda wove has actually shaken the Reality Dimension."

"How can it possibly be undone?"

"Has this World already become irreversible, completely rewritten?"

The Watcher's voice rang out, resonant.

Hailed as Marvel's mightiest onlooker, he could break the fourth wall and travel the Multiverse, yet he had never seen such a scene.

A barrier born of Chaos Magic had wrapped itself around reality, leaving it unrecognizable.

Moreover, every Superhero had lost their memory; only thanks to Linn's arrival did the story avoid its final page.

"The Sorcerer Supreme named Linn has succeeded the Ancient One and now leads Kamar-Taj."

"He bears a mysterious power even I cannot see through; where does he come from and what does he want?"

The Watcher spoke with suspicion.

After all, Linn's actions had almost no motive, yet he always appeared in time, swept into every crisis.

But what had Linn gained?

No Sorcerer Supreme had ever rushed about putting out fires like Linn—he was a hero among heroes!

"Wanda's mental entity seems to command the Westview Illusion—has the Chaos Magic become sentient?"

"So Wanda isn't the mastermind."

The Watcher's eyes brightened; barred from entering the barrier, he could still see inside and instantly grasped the truth.

This mental entity!

It was the true Creator of the Westview Illusion, Wanda's second personality, already self-aware. Through whispered nightmares it had finally won its freedom!

"It can actually do that?"

Linn frowned.

He too had spotted the clue: the mental entity came from the sleeping Wanda, yet it was not Wandaalone.

To be precise, it was Scarlet Witch!

A second personality gestated by Chaos Magic.

Chaos Magic had gained sentience!

Even if they managed to wake Wanda, the Westview Illusion would not break, for Wanda was no longer The Creator—Scarlet Witch was.

They had to defeat Scarlet Witch—or make her dispel the spell—to rewind reality!

[s-rank opportunity mission: defeat the Scarlet Witch personality and receive the Book of magic.]

"The Book of magic?"

"Even that book has shown up?"

Linn's eyes flickered.

It came from Jackie Chan's Adventures.

As the name implied, it recorded every top-tier demon spell; only Shendu could translate it perfectly.

The Book even bore the likeness of the Shadow Demon Tarak; stamping Tarak's image on her leg had turned Jade into the Shadow Queen, able to summon and command ninja soldiers.

The appearance of the opportunity mission confirmed his guess: Chaos Magic really had become sentient!

It had created a Scarlet Witch personality.

The face of that personality even began to grow features while Wanda's own visage faded.

It looked as if the second personality would soon revolt and completely erase Wanda.

"We know Chaos Magic embodies duality; Pluto Chthon also has conscience. To deal with the Scarlet Witch personality, I'll have to use this."

Linn's eyes flashed.

His pupils turned into octagonal obsidian talismans patterned with twin white tigers.

tiger talisman!

It symbolized the law of yin-yang, separating good and evil personalities and balancing magical conflict.

Without hesitation he released a blazing white light from his fingertip, striking the sleeping Wanda and splitting the second personality away!

"What… happened? I feel like I was dreaming…"

Wanda lifted her eyelids and slowly awoke.

Then her eyes widened as she saw the Scarlet Witch personality—her own face—surging with Chaos Magic.

The Chaos Magic within her own body had almost vanished.

Because the Scarlet Witch personality was Chaos Magic itself!

"I'm free…"

"At last rid of that stupid, cowardly host!"

"Wanda Maximoff, do you know my pain? You're nothing like Scarlet Witch!"

Scarlet Witch shrieked, her face venomous.

With a flick of her finger she lifted Wanda telekinetically; the fury from the depths of her soul ignited Wanda's body.

Wanda trembled and wailed!

"Enough."

"Dispel the Westview Illusion and I'll let you live."

Linn swung the black death sword.

In an instant fire turned into sword-light, slicing through the scarlet energy; he also flung out the red hood, draping it over mortal Wanda's shoulders and granting her temporary magic.

After all, the red hood was an enchanted artifact carrying his wisdom and power.

Even if it couldn't restore Wanda, it would let her survive inside the Westview Illusion.

"Linn… is that Chaos Magic? She calls herself Scarlet Witch—how do I understand this?"

Wanda hovered in the air beside Linn, worry flashing in her beautiful eyes.

It seemed Chaos Magic had gained self-awareness!

"Blame Nightmare: after he hypnotized you he created the Westview Illusion. As it grew it devoured reality, and Chaos Magic spiraled out of control, becoming a mental entity."

"Though you're no longer Scarlet Witch, you'll always be my Wanda."

Linn's gaze softened.

"Disgusting! Revolting display!"

"Wanda, no one in this World will ever love you! The love you want doesn't exist—everyone's just using you, toying with your feelings!"

"Men's words are ghosts of lies—yet you still believe them?"

Scarlet Witch snarled.

She embodied Wanda's negative thoughts; Wanda had lost her parents as a child, so her mind naturally veered toward extremes.

Usually it didn't show, but inside it had always been there!

"Linn loves me."

"And you will never have Linn's love—never have real love."

Wanda's eyes were resolute; she clasped Linn's hand, the red hood whipping up a wind that granted her power.

Buzz!

She flicked her finger, and brilliant light formed a sphere that blasted toward Scarlet Witch.

"Shut up! Be quiet!"

"Love doesn't exist!"

"Hate is the greatest power!"

Scarlet Witch's resentment surged; she represented Wanda's mental state—before meeting Linn, Wanda had lived every day in hatred.

What looked like coincidence was actually inevitability. Even without Nightmare's meddling, Chaos Magic would probably have become sentient, weaving the Westview Illusion to sow fear across the World!

"Fear…"

"Why fear?"

Linn smiled.

He planted a light kiss on Wanda's cheek, openly flaunting their affection in front of Scarlet Witch.

It drove Scarlet Witch completely berserk!

"Oh my!"

"It's so dangerous—yet they're still flirting?"

"Uncle Jackie, he's so cool!"

"Could he be from East-Too?"

Jade's eyes sparkled.

Gazing at Linn's profile, her heart skipped; girls of any age are wired to admire strength.

"Evil spirits be gone…"

"Evil spirits be gone…"

"Evil spirits be gone…"

Uncle chanted loudly.

Dried puffer fish and gecko glowed green, aiming at the monsters Nightmare had woven, blasting each into smoke with a single shot.

While Nightmare battled Thor, he looked at the hovering Scarlet Witch and felt a dark foreboding—was he the real Joker?

He wasn't The Creator of the Westview Illusion at all!

"That's right, Nightmare."

"Thanks to you I've taken form; I'll keep weaving the illusion until it devours the Nine Realms."

"And you will be my slave!"

Scarlet Witch proclaimed in triumph.

Chapter 104 – dream talisman! The Law of Dreams!

Nightmare's pupils shrank to needle points.

Faced with Scarlet Witch's declaration, he felt a twinge of regret; he hadn't obtained Chaos Magic, yet he'd ended up benefiting Scarlet Witch!

But who could have guessed that Chaos Magic could gain sentience and develop its own will?

"Nightmare."

"Your fate is sealed; you will be forged into a talisman by me."

Linn's eyes were sharp.

He was sick of Nightmare stirring up trouble in Midgard!

In the next instant, his magic crystal took shape, becoming an octagonal stone talisman with a blank surface.

With a sweep of his hands, a surging vortex of energy seized Nightmare and locked him in place.

"No!"

"Save me!"

Nightmare sank as if into a quagmire, his form distorting like stretched noodles. No matter how shrilly he screamed, no one would rescue him.

Demons are all consummate egoists; they don't care whether an ally lives or dies.

"You should have foreseen this."

Linn's voice cracked like thunder.

The next second!

Nightmare turned into brilliant streams of light and poured into the octagonal talisman, which now bore his image.

[You have stopped Nightmare. opportunity +10, usable to illuminate the dream talisman.]

Linn's lips curved upward.

He had finally gotten rid of this Nightmare!

The creature had been making mischief from the start, driving him mad with annoyance.

Holding the dream talisman, he sensed its wonder—as if he could weave dreams and give solid form to inner demons and fears.

[[dream talisman] (Basic): Bearing the Law of Dreams, you command nightmares and control illusions.]

"Not bad."

Linn smiled.

As the dream talisman merged into him, the sixteen talismans resonated, stacking their power and doubling his magic once more.

He could even weave illusions to steer the Westview Illusion in his favor, indirectly weakening Scarlet Witch.

Scarlet Witch's phoenix eyes flashed with killing intent, her face twisting in venomous resentment.

"I meant to kill Nightmare, yet you beat me to it?"

"But you'll never interfere with my World."

"I am the Westview Illusion!"

Scarlet Witch raised her arms high; her body began dissolving, merging with the World and shaking the dimensional fabric.

A half–illusory figure appeared out of thin air.

She had become pure psychic energy. Scarlet threads rained from the sky, landing on every human's forehead in the blink of an eye.

All humanity froze like statues, aging rapidly in an instant!

Even Dragon Squad and the Avengers saw the threads, but they dodged thanks to their powers and weren't caught immediately.

"This is bad."

"Scarlet Witch's persona is draining life; all humans will die, and she'll ascend to godhood."

Worry clouded Linn's eyes.

He had already seen through the persona's intent.

By draining the life of all mankind, she would become a Celestial, Chaos Magic would reach perfection, and reality could be rewritten with a thought—killing anyone in an instant!

"Linn… this began because of me, so it should end with me. You need my life."

"Then take it."

Tears glimmered in Wanda's beautiful eyes.

She accepted her fate, resolved to trade soul for soul; she and Scarlet Witch's persona shared the same root and heart.

As long as the tiger talisman restored the balance, the second personality could be stopped!

Yet this would erase her, vanish her from the World—still, she was willing to pay the price, sacrificing the self for the greater good.

"Wanda, don't panic—there's another way."

"Trust Linn."

"How could the Sorcerer Supreme lose to an evil Witch?"

The Avengers crowded around, comforting Wanda.

Dragon Squad, however, was bewildered. Sorcerer Supreme?

"Aiya!"

"Uncle only ever heard of the Holy-Blood Sorcerer!"

Uncle adjusted his glasses, studying Linn carefully; he sensed righteous energy radiating from him!

But the black death sword's eerie gleam made his skin crawl, leaving him unsure whether this Sorcerer Supreme was good or evil.

"Also… what does he mean, 'weaving this World'?"

"And why are there threads over Toru's head?"

Jade blinked.

Toru, caught off guard, was pierced by a scarlet thread and instantly froze, his aura withering.

"In short, this is an independent plane. Before Chaos Magic gained sentience, reality wasn't like this."

"There were no Dragon Squad and no Seven."

"In other words, before falling into the Westview Illusion, Dragon Squad had different identities—maybe just ordinary passers-by."

Linn explained.

Dragon Squad was stunned.

"What?"

"Chaos Magic can rewrite reality? But I don't feel anything wrong!"

Jackie Chan pinched his thigh hard, grimacing in pain—proof he wasn't in an illusion.

"You'll understand soon."

Linn drew a deep breath.

Then he summoned the Infinity Gauntlet; all six Infinity Stones blazed with brilliant light.

The Avengers gaped.

"Six Infinity Stones? Linn, when did you collect all six?"

Tony and Captain America couldn't hide their shock, a fervent hope rising within.

With the power of all six Infinity Stones, they should be able to stop Scarlet Witch!

"Don't think you can erase me!"

"I've merged with the World—I am the Westview Illusion. If you attack me, all humankind will be hurt!"

Scarlet Witch's persona issued a warning.

At this moment she seemed a Celestial, her body half-real, half-illusory, existing between being and nothingness, fully commanding the plane's laws while draining life energy.

The residents she'd locked in place showed expressions of agony, as if suffocating in despair.

Wanda, unable to bear it, mirrored Scarlet Witch, pouring vast magic from her fingertips in a life-or-death struggle.

Yet unlike her dark half, she bestowed life upon the townspeople, paying with her own.

Her youthful, beautiful face aged visibly, turning haggard in moments.

Scarlet Witch grinned savagely.

"Looks like Wanda fell into the trap!"

"Scarlet Witch's goal was Wanda from the start!"

"Could there still be something in Wanda that draws her?"

Captain America and Tony frowned, sweating as they watched Wanda age, sensing danger.

After all, Wanda and Scarlet Witch were originally the same person!

Only the tiger talisman had split them into good and evil.

"Completion…"

"Scarlet Witch seeks wholeness. Though she's the incarnation of the Westview Illusion—effectively a Demon Lord—Wanda also holds half the authority and can weave laws!"

Light flashed in Linn's eyes.

He had seen through the truth.

In an instant he appeared beside Wanda and slashed with the black death sword!

A violent wave of fire swept out!

It severed Scarlet Witch's fingers; the sky-full of threads lost connection, letting Wanda gasp for breath before blacking out and collapsing into Linn's arms.

"What weapon is that?"

"It can actually cut Chaos Magic!"

Scarlet Witch was shaken; she stared at the black death sword, clearly sensing the keen edge radiating from the blade.

And she glimpsed the abyss—a dark, bottomless dimensional void!

"Even if you become a Celestial, you can't withstand this black death sword. Its Master once beheaded a Cosmic Celestial."

"You don't deserve Wanda's face."

"And I'm going to ruin yours."

Linn's eyes were cold, his sword-hand tightening as he flashed to Scarlet Witch's side in an instant.

He slashed her face!

Pfft!

Particles of energy spilled out; her half-illusory magical body deflated like a punctured balloon, returning to normal.

But the wound did not vanish—it was permanent!

"You dare disfigure me!"

"Once I heal myself, I'll make you regret the day you were born!"

Scarlet Witch's face was savage with malice.

Chapter 105 – Occupying Sector 13! (Please add to your bookshelf!)

Westview Community.

A ray of magic blasted the last monster to pieces.

The Dragon Squad and the Avengers finally exhaled, their faces relaxing—yet their eyes still held lingering fear.

Because the Scarlet Witch had escaped!

The Westview Illusion was not lifted; it had merely stabilized. As time passed, it might even receive a version update, rewriting reality and the era's backdrop.

Just like in the show, the Westview Illusion hopped from the 1960s to the '70s and then to other decades.

"Linn, can you track the Scarlet Witch?"

"Has any part of reality been repaired?"

Tony's brow was locked tight.

His mind was fully awake; he knew he was trapped in an illusion. But if things kept trending this way, a bad premonition gnawed at him.

Perhaps he would never return to the real World, doomed to live inside the Westview Illusion. A super-genius he might be, he had no wish to start from scratch—because everything he created could reset to zero in an instant!

"I suspect the Scarlet Witch is trying to summon Pluto Chthon—she wants more Chaos Magic, and only by pleasing the god of fear can she get it."

Linn's gaze was deep.

Pluto Chthon had erected a Dark Temple.

Dark Temple.

Its walls bore murals of the Scarlet Witch; casting spells here amplified Chaos Magic and offered a chance to summon Pluto Chthon himself.

Should Chthon return, the World would sink. This Elder God's threat rivaled that of any dimensional lord.

"Beyond Earth, everything stays the same; within Earth, version update."

"How did we even run into this?"

"Also… your name is Jackie Chan? From Sector 13?"

"The Avengers need your help."

Captain America Steve offered his hand to the archaeologist.

The earlier misunderstanding had been cleared up.

"Sector 13—the safest place on Earth!"

"Right on the West Coast in San Francisco. If the Avengers have nowhere to stay, come with me to see Sheriff Black!"

Jackie beamed.

Tohru, Viper, Toru, and Uncle voiced their trust—one-hundred-percent faith in the Avengers' stand.

As for Mayor Kingpin's slander, that was obviously a lie!

In the World of Jackie Chan Adventures, balance of yin and yang is law: when demons rise, the Dao rises higher. Chi magic itself is divided into black and white, clearly marking good and evil.

"These Avengers carry the righteous chi!"

Uncle's bean-sized eyes bulged.

Captain America Steve, in particular, was a paragon of morality—how could he be a criminal?

"I need to investigate the Westview Illusion's rewriting further."

Linn nodded, approving the plan.

With a swirl of mystic sparks, a Mystic Gate opened.

In a second they arrived at Sector 13.

A solemn, secret Base.

A shrill alarm blared.

Sheriff Black and the Agents rushed in; seeing the Dragon Squad standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Avengers, the Sheriff frowned.

"Jackie…"

"Have you been taken hostage? Weren't you headed to New Jersey—why are you back in Sector 13?"

Sheriff Black was on guard, hand already on the pistol at his back.

"Sheriff, relax—the Dragon Squad and the Avengers are joining forces to rewind reality, defeat the Scarlet Witch, and lift the Westview Illusion."

Linn's lips curved.

With a wave he disarmed every Agent, dismantling their pistols into parts without harming a soul.

Only after Jackie explained did Sheriff Black calm a little—yet he could not accept that he himself was inside an illusion!

"A global magical illusion rewrote my identity and memories, even fabricated Sector 13—how is that possible?"

"Uncle knows Chi magic—can Chi magic do this?"

the Sheriff challenged.

"Aiya! Don't ask Uncle—Uncle doesn't know!"

Uncle looked deflated.

He had started out running a tape-shop, later switched to antiques, and only knew one spell: "Evil spirits, begone!"

"This is evidence."

Linn opened his palm.

A pendant shaped like a heavenly hammer appeared before the Dragon Squad.

The hammer shimmered; under his spell it grew to full size, reforged with Fire-enchanted runes.

[You have defeated a Heavenly Hammer Emissary and obtained the heavenly hammer.]

A text bubble popped up.

Linn smiled.

He had already reforged seven hammers; the final Heavenly Hammer Emissary was Kingpin himself.

Yet the fear sown by the Scarlet Witch was enough to revive the Serpent; a premonition stirred in him—the god of fear would soon appear!

"The god of fear?"

"One of the eight great demons?"

Little Jade blinked.

In the Far East, legends told of the Fire Demon that once ruled the Nine Provinces, founding a dragon dynasty until an undead divine warrior sealed it in the Demon Netherworld.

But Shendu had escaped!

Luckily, the warrior Lo Pei of the Linn Dynasty turned Shendu into a statue—though Uncle had sensed the statue had revived.

"No worries—I've sealed Shendu."

"Only… the other seven demons will emerge in turn."

"The Westview Illusion spontaneously introduces people and things that never existed, but think of them as bootlegs."

Linn smiled.

Whether inside the Westview Illusion or Kamar-Taj, he remained the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Sorcerer Supreme?"

"Yay! Then you must be stronger than Uncle—can you teach me magic?"

Little Jade's eyes sparkled.

In Jackie Chan Adventures, Jackie is jokingly called the ninth divine warrior, king of the furniture-store battlefield, and Jade herself is a divine artifact!

"Absolutely."

"Maybe you'll keep your memories after the Illusion ends and still exist as Jade—then I'll take you as my disciple."

Linn nodded with a grin.

He sketched a sigil in the air; an Arcane Arts rune flashed and slipped into Jade's head.

The rune worked like a compressed archive, pouring a portion of his arcane knowledge straight into her mind.

"Oh my gosh!"

"I can read Sanskrit! Arcane Arts—so amazing!"

Jade's eyes shone.

A golden spark flickered in her palm—she had officially mastered the Art.

"Shendu's twelve talismans are on me. Using them, I created the Zodiac Cultivation Method; touching your matching zodiac sign grants you its power."

Linn began on-the-spot crafting.

A totem pole materialized, etched with the twelve zodiac animals.

Uncle's eyes went wide.

His own sign was Dog; the moment he touched it, youthful vigor flooded through him.

Aching back, brittle bones—gone!

"Aiya!"

"Uncle feels stronger than an ox!"

Uncle was elated.

The Dragon Squad each touched the pole and gained their matching zodiac powers.

Tohru gained titanic strength, Viper turned soundless and shadowy, Jackie blinding speed, Toru the ability to float.

Jade's eyes flashed the rat talisman.

Everyone benefited!

"Still, Venerable Linn, you seem to trust the Dragon Squad completely—did you know them beforehand?"

"But they shouldn't exist, right?"

Agent Hawkeye Clint asked, puzzled.

Such unconditional trust was almost impossible for an Agent—especially when the Dragon Squad was a total stranger, existing only inside the Westview Illusion.

"Yeah!"

"Linn, you don't have some evil scheme, do you?"

Jackie realized belatedly.

"Of course not."

"I can simply foresee the future—the Westview Illusion will need the Dragon Squad."

"It takes magic to beat magic."

Linn's face was serious.

Inwardly he rolled his eyes—he could hardly admit he'd watched Jackie Chan Adventures!

Even inside the Westview Illusion, these personas were rock-solid.

"Jackie."

"The Black Hand Gang has shown up again—only… something's different this time."

Chapter 106: Mr. Negative and the Black Hand Gang!

[s-rank opportunity mission: Defeat the Black Hand Gang to obtain the Dark talisman.]

A line of floating text bubbles appeared.

Sheriff Black also held up his phone, playing a segment of surveillance footage.

The members of the Black Hand Gang could be seen transformed into photographic negative colors, with spectral fluctuations rippling across their bodies.

A thug in a suit, his face contorted with ferocity, unleashed negative energy to repel the bank security guards and looted all the cash.

"Is that the Black Hand Gang?"

"Ratso, Finn, Valmont, and Chow? Why do they look like that!"

"And the main force behind the robbery—I've never seen him before!"

Jackie Chan's eyes widened.

Looking at the images presented in the video, he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Clearly, Valmont has stepped back to the second line. The Black Hand Gang has a new leader. He can use negative energy and has also transformed the gang."

Sheriff Black analyzed.

"Mr. Negative."

"The leader of the Inner Demons. After falling into the Westview Illusion, he became the boss of the Black Hand Gang?"

Natasha and Barton immediately reached a conclusion.

Mr. Negative!

The biggest underworld boss in Flushing.

He possesses negative energy, but appearing in San Francisco, it seems Chaos Magic has also strengthened his negative power!

"It seems Mr. Negative, like Kingpin, has retained his previous memories. Knowing he's in an illusionary plane is why he's acting this way."

"However, the Dragon Squad and I can handle this."

"Avengers, stay on standby. You're currently wanted criminals, so it's not good to show your faces. More importantly, Wanda needs rest."

Linn's eyes softened.

The tiger talisman's separation of the good and kind personality had left Wanda very weak. She needed timely rest and sleep to regain her energy.

As for the Scarlet Witch?

If she intended to stay hidden, it was unlikely anyone could find her!

Of course, a sharp light flashed in Linn's eyes; he needed this Dark talisman!

Falling behind means getting beaten.

Even in the Westview Illusion, he would find ways to grow stronger until he ascended to godhood and had the power to reverse reality!

With a wave of his hand, magical sparks swirled, generating a Mystic Gate.

The Avengers agreed with his view and decided to stay at Section 13 for the time being.

Tony Stark was eager to try, wanting to use Section 13's technological devices to hand-craft an arc reactor and upgrade his exoskeleton armor!

"No matter what World I'm in, I'm a super genius. I'll create rune armor and definitely won't be the one dragging the team down!"

Tony was full of fighting spirit.

This also boosted the Avengers' morale as they investigated the situation of the Westview Illusionwhile trying to integrate into this illusionary World.

"Aiya!"

"magic must be defeated by magic!"

Uncle shouted in his raspy voice.

Immediately after, the Dragon Squad stepped through the Mystic Gate and arrived directly at the San Francisco docks, inside a waterfront seafood factory.

The Black Hand Gang was dividing the loot!

Mr. Negative, Martin Li, had a cold expression. He didn't care about the money; he only cared about power!

"To think that I actually traveled to another World?"

"What is this place? Kingpin became the mayor, and I came to San Francisco and even joined the Black Hand Gang?"

"In any case, this is an opportunity."

"I will stand at the pinnacle of power in this World!"

Martin Li let out a cruel grin.

His skin color was like a photographic negative, starkly black and white. Due to an illegal genetic experiment, he gained negative energy. By day, he was a great philanthropist; by night, he was a super-criminal!

The brutal Mr. Negative!

Furthermore, he had unexpectedly come into contact with an evil sorcerer who, like him, came from the East, named Daolon Wong!

Daolon Wong taught him how to manipulate negative energy and allowed him to master the Negative Realm, becoming a Negative Lord.

"If... I can find the Memory Gem, I'll be able to ignore time and travel to any memory node I wish to go to."

"Now that I have operating funds, the plan should commence."

Mr. Negative's eyes were deep.

He wasn't a brainless villain but a paragon of courage and strategy. He had worked his way up from nothing to become the King of Flushing.

Although he had fallen into another World, he believed his wisdom would surely lead him to stand at the pinnacle of power!

"Boss, it looks like the Dragon Squad is here!"

Finn had red hair and was wearing a pure white suit.

Looking out the window, he saw the Mystic Gate open and the Dragon Squad arrive at the docks.

Ratso, looking like a Frankenstein monster with a band-aid on his nose, also showed a slight smile and greeted Toru.

"Long time no see, Toru!"

Ratso had a foolish look on his face.

It was as if he didn't realize that Toru had already turned over a new leaf.

"Ratso! Are you crazy? He's with the Dragon Squad now, an external agent for Section 13!"

Valmont's expression was fierce, exuding the aura of a British noble, but in the blink of an eye, he transformed into a negative, with negative power crackling.

By creating objects with negative power, he could almost cut through iron like butter!

"You are Mr. Negative?!"

"On behalf of Section 13, I declare you are under arrest!"

Jackie Chan showed his badge and spoke loudly.

However, the only response he got was a spectral glow that shot through the air like an arrow!

"Oh my! Bad luck!"

Jackie Chan leaped high into the air, successfully avoiding the sneak attack.

Mr. Negative led the Black Hand Gang out of the seafood factory, a trace of malice appearing on his face. He had heard of the Dragon Squad.

But the person who truly made him wary was the Sorcerer Supreme standing nearby!

"Mr. Negative, if you don't know what's good for you, then I'll have to take you down."

"You should be very clear that this World is not the World from before."

Linn's eyes were playful.

According to his reasonable speculation, the number of villainous criminals who retained their previous memories was likely quite high!

This group of criminals, no matter what time or space they were in, could not change their nature and would always cause trouble!

"So what?"

"Could it be that this is Your Excellency's Arcane Art?"

Mr. Negative adjusted his tie, showing no fear of the Sorcerer Supreme.

Because he possessed negative power.

Even in his previous life, he didn't fear Superheroes. If you counted them one by one, every single one of them was trash.

"Don't you miss the past at all?"

Linn asked with a smile.

"The past? Do you know what price I paid to become Mr. Negative? Illegal human experiments tortured my body and destroyed my will!"

"And in this World, I am the boss of the Black Hand Gang. San Francisco is under my rule!"

"Why would I want to go back?"

"I hope this World stays like this forever!"

Mr. Negative raised his arms and shouted.

Immediately, negative power crackled, intertwining and flashing like lightning, transforming into a Negative Realm that covered the area and dragged the Dragon Squad into a different space!

This was Mr. Negative's 'dimension'.

The source of negative power. Even within the Westview Illusion, the laws had not disappeared; they had only changed.

"I am the god who rules over the negative!"

Mr. Negative took to the air, his voice like a great bell, making a solemn declaration.

Behind him, negative power surged and gathered, transforming in an instant into a colossal beast ten meters tall with a hideous, fanged ghost face.

This caused the Dragon Squad's eyes to glaze over as they couldn't help but gasp.

"Aiya!"

"This is a Great Demon!"

Uncle's voice trembled.

He could clearly feel the demonic Qi covering the sky and earth, making his nose itch.

Qi was another name for energy; because the naked eye could not see the elements, the term Qi was used.

"negative power?"

"It seems only by dealing with you can I make you stop."

Linn narrowed his eyes.

He was greatly anticipating the Dark talisman he was about to obtain!

However, the giant beast created by negative power swung its arm, clenching its hand into a fist and smashing it down like a heavy hammer!

The negative beast, looking like a Susanoo, was pitch black all over with a metallic luster flowing across its surface, causing the air to boom and kicking up a torrent of energy!

"You're nothing but trash!"

"Bullshit Sorcerer Supreme!"

Mr. Negative roared.

The Negative Realm also emitted a piercing, thunderous sound!

Until... Linn swung his sword!

Chapter 107 – Dark talisman! nether talisman!

A single sword slash!

Brilliant, blazing fire qi billowed, fierce as a white-hot ribbon.

In the blink of an eye the negative colossus was dismembered on the spot!

One arm crashed to the ground, raising dust and a hollow boom, filling Mr. Negative with dread and a surge of terror.

"How is this possible?"

"Since when does the Sorcerer Supreme use a sword?!"

Mr. Negative's face twisted; the negative colossus's agony flooded into him, making his scalp explode.

"Mind your own business."

"I'm giving your line right back: you're trash—trash among trash."

Linn's lips curved.

In the next instant, a magic crystal became a stone talisman; his hands swept, releasing Levitation Power that locked Mr. Negative in place in a heartbeat.

"What is this?"

"Damn it!"

Mr. Negative panicked.

Then his body warped, unable to withstand the whirl of Levitation Power; stretched like noodles, he suddenly turned into a streak of light.

He dropped onto the stone talisman, its surface now bearing a negative emblem, while a celestial voice sounded in his ears.

[You have defeated the Black Hand Gang, opportunity +10, usable to ignite the Dark talisman.]

[[Dark talisman] (Junior): carries negative force, can erase color and create negative creatures.]

"Nice."

Linn smiled.

For a small fry like Mr. Negative, it took almost no effort—one second and it was done, as easy as breathing.

Yet the fact that Mr. Negative's power could turn into a talisman amazed him.

Once the Dark talisman entered his body, he sensed its wonder: a reverse energy able to invert good and evil, awakening latent dark emotions.

It could even flip a personality from good to evil or evil to good.

"Looks like I've found a way to subdue the Scarlet Witch."

Linn's eyes flashed.

The Dark talisman could reverse her personality, but he had to discover quickly where she was—whether she had already located the Dark Temple.

The Dark Temple built by Pluto Chthon.

It has always lain within a secret realm; only Old Wang seems to know its location.

He planned to awaken Old Wang's memories; even if the World version updated, Old Wang's magic would remain unaffected.

"Linn!"

"You turned Mr. Negative into a talisman?"

"I think I read about that in a book!"

Jackie Chan's eyes shone.

With Mr. Negative gone, the negative energy on the Black Hand Gang vanished; they reverted to Little Kalamity hoodlums.

After they were roped up, Sector 13 agents arrived at the pier to haul away the stolen money.

"I wanna go home! I want Mom!"

The gang sat back-to-back inside the transport van, and no matter how they screamed, prison awaited them!

"I demand my lawyer!"

Valon snarled.

As long as he could post bail he could walk free.

"Shut it, Valon."

Toru slapped on a strip of tape, successfully muting him.

"Right, I can turn magic into talismans—but only when there's an opportunity,"

Linn nodded.

Without an opportunity quest, an enemy can't become a talisman.

Right now he possessed seventeen talismans!

Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig.

Donkey, Insect, Shadow, Dream, Dark!

Each talisman bears divine power, a manifestation of law; whoever wields their divine force becomes a Conceptual God.

"Only all seventeen are still junior grade…"

"I'll have to hunt for opportunities."

Linn murmured.

He could clearly feel Westview Illusion stabilizing; there'd be no version update soon. Though trapped inside, everything was real!

Only identities had been rewritten.

Characters who never existed had appeared, but Linn still didn't know how many.

"Could DC characters have slipped into Westview Illusion too?"

Linn wondered.

If Superman and the Justice League became the Scarlet Witch's puppets, even seventeen talismans might not rewind reality.

After all, he wasn't Westview Illusion's Creator; once the illusion overlaid reality, unknown effects emerged.

New settings popped up every moment.

Yet even as Sorcerer Supreme he couldn't tell whether those settings helped or harmed him.

"I'll go check on Wanda."

Linn stepped through a Mystic Gate, led Dragon Squad back to Sector 13, and knocked on Wanda's door.

He saw Wanda lying on the bed, dressed lightly and enticingly, sweat soaking the sheets, her face flickering with struggle as the nightmare continued.

"Wanda."

"You're safe; the Nightmare is dead."

Linn whispered.

Wanda's expression eased; instinctively she wrapped her arms around him, cheek pressed to his chest, feeling the strong heartbeat, a smile blooming on her lips.

An indescribable scene unfolded in half-dream until Wanda opened her eyes to meet gentle gaze; the tenderness had been no illusion.

"Linn, did we…?"

Wanda clutched a towel over her deep cleavage, though Linn had already taken in every satiny inch.

"Yes, we've joined."

Linn smiled and nodded.

He gathered her in solid, mountain-reliable arms.

[You have dual-cultivated with Wanda, opportunity +10, usable to ignite the nether talisman.]

A bubble popped up.

The Chaos Magic inside Linn condensed into an octagonal stone talisman.

Crimson light rippled across its surface.

[[nether talisman] (Junior): carries Chaos force, manipulates probability, turns false to true, births something from nothing.]

eighteen talismans!

The corners of Linn's mouth lifted.

He replenished Wanda's magic, gifting her Chaos again; an other-worldly aura rose around her, like an elegant queen both sacred and untouchable, keeping all others at bay.

Yet she bowed to him alone.

"Linn, I sense Chaos Magic…"

Radiance flared in Wanda's eyes.

Crimson energy danced at her fingertip like a flickering flame, showing she once again commanded Chaos Magic and could weave illusions.

"Congratulations."

Linn's gaze softened.

With the nether talisman inside him, he experienced a marvel: he saw the World's structure as if two planes overlapped.

He could even scent Chaos Magic and track the Scarlet Witch across distance.

Right now the Scarlet Witch's personality was on Hong Kong Peninsula.

"I need to visit Hong Kong Peninsula."

Linn straightened his clothes, sliced open a Mystic Gate, and bid Wanda goodbye for the moment.

A classic case of hit-and-run.

"Linn, come back soon."

Wanda's expression was sweet, her hand gently on her lower abdomen; through Chaos Magic she sensed new life beginning.

Hong Kong Peninsula.

The Sanctum had become a restaurant; Old Wang stood expressionless in a security uniform, hands on hips.

"I need you to guide me."

The Scarlet Witch descended upon the restaurant; a stroke of crimson across her fingertip revived Old Wang's memory.

"What? Wanda?"

"Where am I?"

Old Wang gaped.

Hong Kong Sanctum turned tourist restaurant!

He had fallen from Sanctum Master to restaurant guard; clashing memories sent his vision black.

"Take me to the Dark Temple!"

"I must summon Chthon!"

The Scarlet Witch snarled.

She needed Chaos Magic to fully dominate Westview Illusion and push it to devour the Nine Realms.

"Dark Temple…"

"You can't go there, Wanda!"

Old Wang regarded her coldly.

That enraged the Scarlet Witch; though they shared a face, she loathed the name Wanda.

"Call me Scarlet Witch, foolish Mystic Arts practitioner!"

"Refuse me and I'll turn you into a monkey performing in a circus!"

the Scarlet Witch threatened.

Chapter 108 – The Temple of Chthon!

Atop the Snowy Domain.

Deep within the Himalayas.

The cold wind cut like a blade, plating the Earth in silver.

A temple steeped in malevolence stood on the cliff's edge.

This was the relic of Pluto Chthon!

The first demon in history wrote the darkhold here, inscribing countless perilous spells and sorceries onto immortal parchment.

The walls bore carved reliefs and murals.

The figure of the Scarlet Witch appeared inside the temple.

Fearsome, savage monsters emerged, bowing to her—clearly recognizing the Scarlet Witch, the agent of Pluto Chthon!

[s-rank opportunity mission: destroy the Dark Temple to gain 50,000 opportunity.]

A line of text bubbled up.

Linn arrived right after; relying on the nether talisman's perception, he saw exactly what the Scarlet Witch was doing—just as he'd guessed, she had come to the Dark Temple!

Even though the Westview Illusion overlaid reality, it didn't cover spatial secret realms.

The Westview Illusion wasn't powerful enough to penetrate such realms; secret realms are separate planes with their own laws and order!

"Scarlet Witch."

"What exactly do you want to obtain?"

Linn hovered in the air and spoke loudly; seeing the bruised Old Wang beside her, he couldn't help feeling sympathy.

To force Old Wang to open the gate, the Scarlet Witch had clearly struck hard—hitting the face first—leaving Old Wang on the verge of tears.

"Linn, you saw through everything long ago? Why didn't you wake me?"

Old Wang's tone was resentful.

"You'll know the answer in a moment, but I need to stop the Scarlet Witch."

Linn's gaze was direct.

The Scarlet Witch's face showed madness, mixed with a trace of admiration and hatred, venting her grievances.

"Linn, I've endured too much suffering, and I want to reverse it—to fix everything!"

"I will save Sokovia, save the child I was!"

The Scarlet Witch's face brimmed with longing.

She couldn't yet reverse death, for death is a Time Anchor—an immovable pillar of the Universe. Only when that anchor extends into a line can the Multiverse be born!

To reverse a Time Anchor, however, requires infinite power; she is about to summon Chthon in exchange for Chaos Magic!

To reverse the deaths of her parents.

In the real World such a plan would fail, for the collapse of a Time Anchor would annihilate everything in the Universe.

Yet inside the Westview Illusion she is the sole Creator; she can manipulate the odds of reality!

There would be no universal extinction at all!

She didn't see danger in this idea, but Linn's interference filled her with grief and fury.

"Scarlet Witch."

"The Westview Illusion should never exist. Dispel it and everything can still be salvaged—I can let bygones be bygones and allow you a life of your own."

Linn made his promise.

The Scarlet Witch's fate is either to rule the Universe or to destroy the World.

That fate cannot be avoided.

However, Wanda and the Chaos Magic split in two, creating a bug: the Scarlet Witch bears the fate, while Wanda can stay out of it.

"Let bygones be bygones? Linn, even without you I would have become the Scarlet Witch and awakened the Chaos Magic. You've been meddling with history, but I've seen through the truth!"

"You don't belong to this World at all!"

The Scarlet Witch's eyes blazed.

While weaving the Westview Illusion she had sensed Linn's difference.

Linn carries the imprint of another Universe.

"Universe imprint? What's that?"

Linn's expression was playful.

He hadn't even noticed such a thing.

Could some big shot see a special mark left when he transmigrated?

"Your World is being destroyed!"

"Linn, no matter when you come from, your Universe is collapsing. Don't you want to save your World?"

"To miss the spacetime of your birth for the sake of a stranger Universe—don't you find that foolish?"

The Scarlet Witch's gaze was profound.

To her, every person is distinct: those who fell from reality into illusion all bear the God imprint, signifying genes from a God.

Characters woven by the Westview Illusion, however, carry the Scarlet imprint, symbols of her creation.

Yet the mark on Linn belongs to neither God nor her—clearly a stowaway!

"My World is being destroyed?"

"How could you possibly sense my World?"

Linn shook his head.

He didn't believe a single punctuation mark of her words; the Westview Illusion forms a barrier that also restricts spiritual perception.

"Before now I couldn't sense your World, but here in the Dark Temple—every Universe has a Dark Temple, just as every World has a darkhold."

"Take a look!"

"This is your World!"

"The Universe where you were born and raised!"

The Scarlet Witch raised a screen, playing another timeline.

In that timeline the Avengers were merely actors, Jackie Chan Adventures just a cartoon—a classic magic-less Universe.

But as time passed the filter of the vision changed, as if doomsday had arrived: spatial vortexes appeared and all kinds of monsters poured into that timeline.

"An apocalypse?"

"That really looks like my home."

Linn stared, dumbstruck.

He simply couldn't understand how the Universe he was born in could become like this.

His feelings were tangled; though he had come to the U.S. comic World, he hadn't forgotten his past life—every detail of it.

Seeing the end times arrive and the monsters he knew appear, he couldn't help wondering.

Could his actions in the comic World be projected back onto his birth Universe?

"Exactly!"

"You've heard of the Collision Event!"

"Your crossing caused a Collision Event between two Universes, and my Westview Illusion is protecting this Universe—armoring it."

"When the Collision Event erupts, only one World will be sacrificed instead of mutual annihilation!"

A faint gleam shone in the Scarlet Witch's eyes.

She had foreseen an unprecedented disaster approaching Earth.

That's why she wove the Westview Illusion, letting it devour reality!

Chaos Magic formed a barrier that completely enveloped the planet; even if a Collision Event struck and another planet collided, the intruder would simply shatter itself!

"A Collision Event…"

"Because I crossed physically, it triggered a Collision Event? And as the two Worlds draw near, monsters invade?"

"The Westview Illusion isn't meant to destroy—it's meant to protect reality?"

Linn's pupils contracted.

This overturned everything he had believed; he'd thought the Westview Illusion was a catastrophe rewriting reality and history.

Yet the Scarlet Witch's claim was flawless—he really had transmigrated!

The dream-walking art in the darkhold is a method of soul possession that can trigger a Collision Event.

His physical crossing doing the same was only logical!

"So… you have two choices, Linn: either hand the Chaos Magic to me!"

"Or sit back and watch the Collision Event obliterate everything!"

The Scarlet Witch's gaze was playful.

The Westview Illusion's existence can minimize the threat of a Collision Event!

Like slipping a magical coat over Earth.

If the Westview Illusion is dispelled, the planet will be left naked!

Would Linn really let the two Universes collide and annihilate each other just to restore reality?

Anyone with a toe's worth of sense knows listening to her is the better deal!

At least one reality survives!

"You've certainly given me a tough problem."

Linn gave a bitter smile.

Now that he had crossed, he could ignore his past life—but who knew what hidden dangers letting the Westview Illusion remain might bring?

Chapter 109 – I Caused the Doctor Strange?

Collision Event.

Two Universes pull on each other and slowly drift closer.

During this period, planes overlap, forming a bridge that links the cosmos; yet when they truly touch, they annihilate in a collision.

Both Worlds perish together!

Linn naturally understood the stakes.

Earth-838's Illuminati had lived through a Collision Event; to save their own Universe, they sacrificed another.

That sin made Doctor Strange a criminal!

Black Bolt killed him with a single blast of carbonated breath.

Yet Linn's eyes were conflicted—his physical arrival in Marvel had triggered a Collision Event, something he never foresaw.

His former Universe had turned post-apocalyptic; because of planar overlap, all kinds of monsters appeared, bringing danger and calamity.

He had to decide!

Because… Scarlet Witch's warning was spot-on. The Westview Illusion formed a Chaos barrier; even if no one lifted a finger, the other Universe would crash and collapse on its own.

But if he killed Scarlet Witch, the Westview Illusion would vanish; without the Chaos barrier, the collision and annihilation would still occur!

"Linn, stand with me. Turn the Westview Illusion into true reality. I'll bring my parents back, and you'll have me."

Scarlet Witch's beautiful eyes fluttered.

Like Wanda, she felt affection for Linn; she could forgive his actions—even throwing herself at him was fine.

In her eyes, she was saving the World, for no one could survive a collision-annihilation.

"Collision Event?"

"You caused it, Venerable Linn?"

Wong's eyes glazed over.

He clearly hadn't expected Linn, a visitor from another Universe, to spark a Collision Event and bring the cosmos to the brink.

Scarlet Witch's words shook him.

"Linn… I think Scarlet Witch is right,"

Wong said, face twisted in conflict.

He and Scarlet Witch shared the same stance—they belonged to this Universe.

Even if the Westview Illusion rewrote perception and reality, weaving people and things that never existed, it wasn't necessarily bad; it had created heroes and made the World more harmonious.

"Wong, the Westview Illusion follows a yin-yang balance: as virtue rises one foot, vice rises ten. Do you really think more heroes means fewer villains?"

"Quite the opposite—more heroes, more villains!"

Linn shook his head.

He had nearly worked out the Westview Illusion's backstory; it had dragged in all sorts of fantasy elements.

Vought International, Super Seminary, Jackie Chan Adventures… classic examples!

He even had a hunch that, even if Scarlet Witch were dealt with, the woven people and things would stay in the real plane—

The equivalent of a World-version update.

Scarlet Witch had used Chaos Magic to push the Westview Illusion to a higher dimension.

"But… if you summon Chthon, this World is truly doomed."

"Scarlet Witch, I respect your intent—but I must stop you."

Linn gripped the black death sword; a cold glint flashed in his eyes—he already had a plan.

Before the Collision Event ended, there was no need to kill Scarlet Witch, yet he couldn't let her stay awake; otherwise she would shatter the timeline's fixed point.

"You want to stop me?"

"Linn, I love you so much. Even when you cut me, you still don't understand me at all!"

Scarlet Witch frowned, resentment in her voice.

Boom!

A surging tide of magic whirled toward Linn!

Monsters in the Dark Temple shrieked, shooting into the air like cannon shells, slashing at Linn with claws extended.

"Wong, fall back."

Linn narrowed his eyes.

His sword flashed like a dragon!

A burst of blazing fire breath beheaded the grotesque monster!

Yet the monster's fleshy shards began to merge, forming a super-beast; Wong's face turned ashen, his whole body shaking.

"Linn!"

"That's the Original Werewolf!"

Wong's lips trembled.

A half-man, half-wolf titan nearly ten meters tall stood before Linn, fur black and gleaming like steel needles, fangs white as blades, moving lightning-fast, leaving after-images in the air.

In a blink it was right in Linn's face!

A rank wind hit him!

Linn frowned slightly.

He wasn't worried about the Original Werewolf; he feared Scarlet Witch would finish her ritual and summon Pluto Chthon!

"A space above space, a time beyond time…"

"Great dweller in the shadows…"

Scarlet Witch sat cross-legged in the air, scarlet energy swirling around her; she was tearing open the portal of the Blinking Dimension to build a tunnel for Chthon—

So Chthon could descend into this plane!

In an instant, day turned to night; dark clouds gathered, the sky dimming!

The World became a living hell in the blink of an eye!

Flames licked every corner of the temple.

A deep, evil darkness slowly tore open the cosmic veil, revealing a twisted rift.

Inside the rift,

A figure stood indistinctly, eyes gleaming with malice. Linn's pupils shrank—it was clearly Chthon!

"Looks like I really have to discipline you, Scarlet Witch!"

Linn swung his sword with force.

Boom!

The Original Werewolf froze, then crumbled to pieces, burned to charcoal by the terrible fire, reduced to a heap of scorched sludge.

With a flick of his finger he sent out a burst of Levitation Power.

He shoved Wong outside the temple, then traced runes bare-handed; Arcane symbols blossomed with golden light, and the Vishanti Patronus Charm temporarily suppressed the Chaos Magic!

"Scarlet Witch…"

"I will seal you inside this temple until the Collision Event ends."

Linn declared solemnly.

A storm of overwhelming power shattered the Dark Temple into countless stones that rained down, imprisoning Scarlet Witch inside!

The Dark Temple

Had served as a relay point,

Connecting the real plane to the Blinking Realm!

Destroying it severed that link. To keep Scarlet Witch from breaking the seal, Linn formed hand seals and chanted; runic chains appeared in mid-air, shrouding the temple ruins.

"Linn!"

"I'll be back—and you'll learn the price of angering Scarlet Witch!"

A furious voice echoed.

Yet Scarlet Witch couldn't budge the ruins,

Because Linn's magic far surpassed hers!

Only if Linn weakened could she break the seal—and how could Linn possibly weaken?

[You have destroyed the Dark Temple, gaining 50,000 opportunity.]

[You have defeated Scarlet Witch, gaining the Compendium of Spells.]

Text bubbles popped up.

Linn's lips curved.

But he felt no relief.

"The Collision Event will make Worlds overlap; the Westview Illusion will likely be shaken. I have to alert the Avengers."

Linn's gaze was complicated.

The Collision Event began because of him; it must end with him.

The Westview Illusion must persist—without the Chaos barrier, both Worlds are finished!

"Linn, once a Collision Event starts, it won't stop halfway."

"By sealing Scarlet Witch you keep the Westview Illusion as is, but after the Worlds overlap a UniverseBridge will appear, and people from the other timeline will attack."

"After all, no one wants their World to die."

Wong's eyes were full of worry.

The archives of Kamar-Taj record Collision Events.

Of course, none happened in this Universe—they occurred in others.

During a Collision Event, Worlds inevitably overlap; a Universe Bridge stands like a battleground.

The people of the other World will fight to survive!

"So you must explain clearly: what exactly was your previous World like?"

Wong said gravely.

The safety of all humanity depended on it.
