Chapter 984 - Ch: 140-149

Chapter 140: The Angels Proclaim You King!

Linn's eyes showed pity.

Looking at the holy wings on either side of Kaisa, he pressed down with just one finger, unleashing a violent Levitation Power that froze the Angel Legion in mid-air.

As his fingertip lifted, the Angel Legion's wings folded, and they fell straight from the sky, slamming hard into the ground in a literal hard landing, leaving them all covered in dust and grime.

"Kaisa, is this the quality of the Angel Civilization? So disrespectful, speaking to me like that—who taught them?"

"Like master, like servant. It seems the Angel Civilizationreally takes their Justice Order seriously, but this is Midgard, my turf."

"Standing before you is—"

"The King of Avalon, the leader of Kamar-Taj, the Sorcerer Supreme of Midgard, the uncrowned Lord of Jotunheim, and the spokesperson for the Deep Sea World."

The corners of Linn's mouth curled up.

He reeled off a long list of titles and identities.

And this wasn't just pie in the sky; these were solid battle achievements, honors won through sheer strength, leaving everyone truly convinced.

Holy Kaisa?

What kind of trash is she, still pretending to be a big shot? She doesn't have the qualifications at all!

"Linn, I intended to be polite before resorting to force, but you actually hurt my people. For a dignified Sorcerer Supreme to lower himself to the level of children, have you no shame?"

Holy Kaisa narrowed her eyes.

Immediately, a wormhole vortex opened, and a massive, majestic figure—solemn armor forged from Dark Silver, holding a giant Flaming Sword—suddenly moved.

The Archangel of Judgment!

This was a divine artifact forged by Holy Kaisa.

Dark Silver is comparable to uru metal, a top-tier God-Slaying Class weapon that can almost rival King-class beings, equivalent to the Destroyer armor!

Boom!

The Archangel of Judgment swung its sword, a boiling, scorching heat wave sweeping toward Linn, cracking the sky in the blink of an eye!

Morgana and the demons' pupils contracted; seeing this scene, despair rose in their hearts.

They certainly knew the power of the Archangel of Judgment; it was truly the artifact of artifacts, and Dark Silver was indestructible!

But Linn gripped the black death sword, and facing the attack of the Archangel of Judgment, a sharp glint appeared in his eyes.

Instantly!

The Flaming Sword of the Archangel of Judgment was sliced clean in half by him.

Even the body of the Archangel of Judgment burst with dense cracks!

"I admit defeat."

Holy Kaisa's beautiful eyes trembled, and she decisively conceded, putting away the Archangel of Judgment.

Her expression was hesitant and tinged with fear; she activated her Eye of Insight again, attempting to peer at the black death sword, only to feel an evil aura that nearly corrupted her soul!

"The Black-Clothed Emperor?"

"Your weapon comes from the Black King Knull?"

Holy Kaisa's pupils dilated violently.

Death God Karl's faith seemed to be in the Black King Knull!

Knull also had a direct connection to the Void!

But why would Sorcerer Supreme Linn have a Void weapon? It left her completely baffled and bred a trace of lingering fear.

She had clearly underestimated Linn! If Linn truly went all out, the Angel Civilization might be wiped out entirely, with not a single survivor!

[You have defeated Kaisa and gained the loyalty of the Angels.]

A line of text bubbles popped up.

Linn's mouth hooked up.

"As expected of the Queen of Angels, you actually recognized this black death sword? You and I share a common enemy, and that is the Black King Knull."

"Therefore, I need the Angel Civilization to defeat the Taotie Fleet."

"Give me some face; let the hatred between the demons and the Angel Civilization end here. If Morgana betrays us, I will personally punish her."

Linn smiled while holding his sword.

It seemed like he was negotiating with Kaisa, but it was actually a threat!

The black death sword can decapitate a God; how hard could it be to take out one Holy Kaisa?

"...I agree."

Holy Kaisa fell silent for a moment before agreeing to Linn's proposal.

Because she felt the threat; if she refused, Linn would likely start hacking at her with that sword!

"I agree too."

Morgana breathed a sigh of relief; she had long been tired of war, but that bitch Kaisa's heart was smaller than the point of a needle!

Fortunately, Linn's strength was heaven-defying enough to make Holy Kaisa compromise; any other Little Kalamitywould have been beaten black and blue.

"That's settled then."

"I hope both the Angel and Demon Civilizations can be sensible and not make me lose my temper."

"Death God Karl is the ultimate threat."

Linn's eyes flashed with a sharp light.

Through Kaisa and Morgana, he had slowly learned that Death God Karl's knowledge all came from the Black King Knull.

Even Death God Karl's upgrade to a Phantom Body was thanks to the Black King Knull.

"This should be related to Chaos Magic; people, things, and events woven by Chaos Magic have developed mysterious connections."

Linn was deep in thought.

After all, different World elements appearing in the Westview Illusion must have a self-consistent logic.

The scale of the Westview Illusion had covered the Solar System, even weaving the Demon Nebula and the Styx Nebula, spatial dimensions that originally didn't exist!

[s-rank opportunity mission: Defeat Death God Karl to light up the ghost talisman.]

A line of bubbles popped up.

It gave Linn a strange expression.

"ghost talisman?"

"Death God Karl's Phantom Body is equivalent to a neutrino? He's already become a ghost?"

The corners of Linn's mouth curled up.

He was almost impatient to head to the Styx Nebula and deal with Death God Karl.

After all, he would obtain a talisman, and a talisman is the incarnation of a totem.

And he had already mastered the totem, capable of controlling the cosmic blueprint, making the Universeserve him and be controlled by his will.

He just still needed to tame the totem Spirits!

Perhaps the ghost talisman carries that kind of law, capable of making totem Spirits absolutely loyal.

"You're going to see Death God Karl?"

"Even if you see Death God Karl, I don't believe you can eliminate him, because he has already shed his physical form and possesses a Void constitution!"

"It's called a Phantom Body."

Holy Kaisa frowned.

Phantom Body.

This was an ultimate constitution that transcended the third dimension and touched the fourth; all DNA and genes were turned into information, higher-tier than Holy Atoms.

And she seriously suspected that the Black King Knullalso possessed this kind of constitution.

"Wait! What's happening? Space... is distorting, as if it's about to transform into another form?"

The Demon Queen screamed.

Immediately, the spatial curtain twisted, the filter of the Westview Illusion shattered, revealing the true reality!

A reality not rewritten by Chaos Magic!

The Westview Illusion and the Reality Dimension were like inner and outer Worlds; rewritten by Chaos Magic, they hadn't been reverted until now.

However, the spatial curtain suddenly distorted, the inner and outer Worlds overlapped, and the character images of Holy Kaisa and Morgana underwent a sudden change, falling from Gods to mortals!

In the previous Reality Dimension, Holy Kaisa and Morgana were just two ordinary people.

They only became like this after being rewritten by Chaos Magic!

"The source of the problem is... Latvia."

"Doctor Doom!"

"He's dispelling the Westview Illusion? Then how will the upcoming Collision Event be defended against the residents of the end times?"

Linn's pupils contracted.

Immediately, opening a Mystic Gate, he teleported directly to Latvia, only to see the vibranium sun spanning the sky, continuously releasing energy.

It was also counteracting the influence of Chaos Magic!

To be precise, the vibranium sun was absorbing Chaos Magic, intending to merge the Westview Illusion into this sphere; once the Chaos Magic was completely drained, all rewrites would return to their original state.

The vibranium sun would also become a Chaos Gem!

"What is this?"

"Vibranium? Vibranium can absorb Chaos Magic? How is that possible?"

"And Doctor Doom!"

"He wants to destroy the Westview Illusion?"

A series of surprised and flustered voices came through.

Superheroes appeared inexplicably, transported one by one by beams of light; looking at the figure of Doctor Doom, unease flashed in their eyes.

"Vibranium... comes from the Old Dimension; it's the remains of the Old Ones. Using it as a mere metal is simply a waste of a godsend."

"And I will use Vibranium, becoming a God-Emperor through Chaos Magic, to form a Battle Realm before the Multiverse collapses."

Victor Von Doom said ferociously.

He had already foreseen the imminent collapse of the Multiverse!

Chapter 141 – Doom and the God of death, Karl!

The Multiverse is on the verge of collapse.

It is the outcome foreseen by Doctor Doom.

When he first discovered this truth, he was shaken and terrified, for the fall of the Multiverse resembles the rise and fall of dynasties.

One dynasty perishes, another kingdom is founded.

Yet the hallmark of Multiversal collapse is the frequent outbreak of Collision Events; no matter where you hide, you can be caught in the fallout.

After deep deliberation, the only solution Doctor Doomcould devise was to weave Battle Realm with Chaos Magic, a plane detached from the Multiverse, self-contained and sovereign.

The emergence of Westview Illusion gave him the inspiration.

And the reason he seized the vibranium sun was to gather Chaos Magic and become Master of Westview Illusion!

'Vibranium… from the cast-off skin of the Old Ones?'

'What does that mean?'

'Like a cicada's shell, but hard as metal?'

The Superheroes' eyes widened in shock.

No one knows the true origin of Vibranium; yet Doctor Doom exposed it in a single sentence—was it truth or fabrication?

'True or not, Doom must be stopped. He dreams of becoming God-King, turning Westview Illusion into Battle Realm—that's a threat.'

'Westview Illusion must not have a Master.'

Linn's gaze was incisive.

He gripped the black death sword, wary of Doctor Doom's actions.

At this moment the vibranium sun, drawing in Chaos Magic, glowed scarlet with its properties.

Runic sigils glided across its surface, glyphs leaping out one by one.

[s-rank opportunity mission: defeat Doctor Doom to obtain the vibranium sun.]

A line of text popped up in a bubble.

Linn's eyes were deep as night.

Yet hordes of Taotie teleported in; assorted aircraft streaked across the sky, opening fire on the Superheroes, energy beams ripping the heavens.

A deafening roar split the air.

A golden-haired, almost androgynous figure appeared in Latvia, standing beside Doctor Doom.

He cradled a book, eyes shining with galaxies that seemed near yet lacked substance.

'Phantom body!'

'Death God Karl!'

'He and Doctor Doom have joined forces?'

Holy Kaisa and Morgana's faces flickered with dread.

After all, Death God Karl's Void doctrine is the root of ultimate terror; he worships Void Creatures, yearning to become one of them.

'The rewrite of Chaos Magic made me Death God Karl—how exhilarating.'

'Yet the Great Clock predicts Westview Illusion will break, and I shall vanish. I relish this identity.'

Death God Karl smiled.

He had foreseen the truth: nearly everything inside Westview Illusion was rewritten by magic, not real.

But to keep his identity he had to choose, and Doctor Doom's vision matched his own.

Turning Westview Illusion into Battle Realm could avert Multiversal collapse—this alone convinced him.

Besides, Vibranium is Void matter; through it he could mass-produce Void Engines.

Every Taotie soldier was fitted with a Void Engine able to interfere with laws and natural elements.

The key: they could counter Chaos Magic.

Even if Westview Illusion shattered, he and the Taotie would remain, retaining identity and memory.

'I will shatter Westview Illusion, rewrite reality into Battle Realm with Chaos Magic, and defeat the Great Serpent, God of Fear.'

'Linn, I have watched you. You have power, but pitiful wisdom—hesitant, small-minded.'

Victor Von Doom's eyes mocked.

Had he possessed the heart of magic he would have rewritten reality long ago, shaping it to his will; if Endworlders invaded, he would simply erase them.

Yet morality—

It made Linn weak.

Doom had long since slain morality; only his plan could save the World. He was no mere schemer—he was God-King Doom!

'Without morality,'

'what separates you from beasts? You're an animal now, a lapdog. Gild your face as you will, you remain a sinner.'

Linn shook his head.

As Sorcerer Supreme he had studied countless tomes—the book of the vishanti, the darkhold, the book of ages, the compendium of spells.

All taught one simple truth.

The Universe has its laws!

Forceful intervention and rewriting bring backlash, time paradoxes, and the death of all things.

If Doctor Doom ran rampant, the Multiverse might fall only after Westview Illusion itself collapsed.

So, without hesitation, Linn shot forward like a rainbow, rushing at Doctor Doom.

The black death sword carved an arc of light!

Clang!

Doctor Doom raised the Ebony Shield; sparks flew, shockwaves ripping the air with ear-splitting roars.

Linn narrowed his eyes.

'Ebony Shield?'

'You actually obtained a Merlin artifact?'

Ebony—a magical material from which Merlin forged staff, sword, shield, and cup.

Whoever held an ebony item could wield the Power of Merlin, raising Linn's suspicions.

'Could Merlin approve of Doom's actions?'

'Merlin…'

'What is his intent, whose side is he on?'

Linn's pupils contracted.

To him Merlin was no benefactor, merely an investor placing bets on multiple players, profiting whoever won—

a fence-sitter, a two-timer!

'When I meet Merlin, I'll demand answers.'

Linn's face turned cold.

By his reckoning, Merlin's gifts to villains might be the root of many disasters.

Clearly he had mistaken Merlin for a 'hero.'

He would settle that account!

'Venerable Linn, you cannot stop me. The ritual has begun; the wisdom Merlin granted lets me surpass all!'

Victor Von Doom snarled.

His hands erupted with auroras, twin tides of magiccrashing toward Linn.

His arcane mastery rivalled the gods themselves.

He had traveled through eras, delving into technology and sorcery, and forged a blood pact with The Brotherhood of the Shield!

'Brotherhood of the Shield?'

Linn's eyes narrowed.

He knew the group; both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Divine Spear Bureau sprang from it.

History's great scientists—Newton, Zhang Heng, Galileo, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Tesla… even Howard Stark and Nathaniel Richards, fathers of Tony and Mister Fantastic, were Brothers of the Shield.

Yet no one knew where the Brotherhood was hidden.

'Victor Von Doom actually found them and joined their ranks?'

'They say the Brotherhood's leader is Isaac Newton, who faked his death and hides in Immortal City.'

Tony's gaze was wary.

In his father's effects he too had learned of the Brotherhood; Newton's late-life turn to theology was no accident.

Newton had discovered the Words of God—the language through which magic speaks with magic.

'I care nothing for Newton. I must complete the ritual and turn Westview Illusion into Battle Realm—for all humanity!'

Doctor Doom roared.

Hordes of Taotie soldiers resumed their bombardment, their bodies surging with magic, Void Engines thundering.

The Superheroes found the situation thorny.

'A grand mission indeed,'

'but who asked you to bother?'

Linn sneered.

Westview Illusion's advent was written in the book of ages as part of history; Battle Realm was not.

With a sweep of the black death sword he stabbed at the vibranium sun!

The web of energy shattered instantly.

All anomalies calmed; he severed the magic tether, robbing the vibranium sun of momentum, sending it crashing to the ground.

Invisible Levitation Power spilled from his fingertips.

In an instant he locked down the entire field!

Doctor Doom and Death God Karl's pupils shrank to needle points.

Chapter 142 – ghost talisman! Law of Illusion!

"Doctor Doom, your plan may be flawless, but you overlooked one thing."

Linn raised his sword at an angle, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

After all, he had read Merlin's Codex; he knew every one of Merlin's spells by heart, weaknesses included.

Every past experience had forged the man he was now. He wasn't fighting alone—countless versions of himself were battling Doctor Doom.

And he looked straight at Death God Karl.

In his eyes, Death God Karl had already become a talisman!

"Overlooked what? I'm a super-genius; there can't be a single loophole. What method did you use to break my ritual?"

Doctor Doom's eyes glinted coldly.

He couldn't fathom it; the ritual he had designed had been refined again and again with the aid of the Great Clock, yet it still failed!

"This Great Clock is not that Great Clock."

"At its core, it's a creation woven from Chaos Magic."

"Besides… in my homeland there's a saying: even the wisest man, pondering a thousand times, must make one mistake."

"Even a genius isn't omniscient."

Linn's face showed open scorn.

The cleverest man outsmarted himself—exactly described Doctor Doom. Using Merlin's spells to manipulate Chaos Magic?

Yet Linn had read Merlin's Codex!

"Damn it! Merlin met you too? And gave you the Codex?"

Doctor Doom exclaimed in realization.

He deemed Merlin a villain—since he had granted knowledge to him, why pass the Codex to Linn as well?

"Doom, you rely too much on your own intellect and refuse to trust the wisdom of the masses; that is precisely why you fail."

"And what have you created? What spell have you invented? Every bit of magic you wield comes from someone else!"

Linn mocked mercilessly.

Doctor Doom…

was never good at invention; he merely assembled what already existed.

And that qualifies as genius?

He couldn't even match Tony Stark—from scratch building the arc reactor and the iron man armor, even extracting the infinite isotope.

He even had unique insights into runes.

Any of those accomplishments would have benefited him.

But Doom was just a Little Kalamity who picked up others' crumbs, thinking that memorizing a few poems meant he could write poetry himself.

Even Linn, a transmigrator, had used his own intellect to create the Zodiac Cultivation Method and glimpse the cosmic blueprint!

Doom? What claim did Doom have to greatness?

And he still dared to challenge Linn?

"Death God Karl, don't imagine I can't see that before you became Death God Karl, you were just a cocky kid."

"Chaos Magic rewrote you into a pretty boy. Not content with that, you still ally with Doom?"

"Careful I don't just erase you."

Linn's gaze was disdainful.

When Chaos Magic ran wild, he had seen many truths of reality.

In short, Chaos Magic added a filter to the World; projecting that magical filter into 3-D space turned the cocky kid into Death God Karl.

It had even created Holy Kaisa and Morgana.

Once he mastered the heart of magic, he could manipulate Chaos Magic, target specific beings, and dispel such filters.

"Venerable Linn, I've already become an illusory body; your threat likely can't touch me."

Death God Karl's eyes were gloomy.

He was one of the few who knew the truth; through the Great Clock's calculations, he had seen his past life—a bleached-blair cocky kid.

Utterly cringe-worthy!

Yet the Great Clock's projections showed that the Westview Illusion would eventually shatter, and he would revert to that kid; that was his motive.

Who could willingly give up power gained from nothing?

"Let's test that."

Linn spread his hands; brilliant light spilled from his fingertips, rippling in scarlet.

Death God Karl felt himself imprisoned, frozen in place, a flicker of panic on his face.

"No!"

He channeled his Void Engine.

The harder he tried to break free, the deeper he sank!

His form twisted and distorted, and in a blink he turned into a surging wave of light, molded into an octagonal, pitch-black stone talisman!

Its surface bore a ghost-face design.

[You have defeated Death God Karl. +10 opportunity, usable to light up the ghost talisman.]

A line of text bubbled up.

Linn's lips curved.

One reason he hadn't reset reality was precisely this!

Because people and things rewritten by Chaos Magic had a chance to be forged into talismans.

Though the chance was slim—only when an opportunityquest popped up could he be sure of success—it still brought benefits, especially the ghost talisman!

[ghost talisman (Basic): carries the Law of Illusion; all non-substantial matter is subject to your control.]

"Law of Illusion?"

"All non-substantial matter… then does that include totem spirits?"

Linn's eyes sparkled.

He absorbed the ghost talisman at once; his magicdoubled again, a surging aura radiating from him, making non-physical matter tremble and hum.

Even the Westview Illusion rippled.

It drew Doctor Doom's gasp; he could scarcely believe his eyes—Death God Karl, who had been speaking moments ago, had turned into a talisman?

"Linn… actually has this ability…"

Doctor Doom's heart chilled; awe took hold.

His very form began to waver—clearly he was casting a spatial spell, ready to flee the country at once!

As long as he could find Newton, he could rely on the Brotherhood of the Shield to replicate a machine and eventually create the Battle Realm!

"Doom, I'm afraid you won't get that chance."

Linn lifted a hand in an empty grip, releasing a torrent of Levitation Power that seized Doctor Doom and dragged him through the air!

He clamped Doom's neck; no matter how Doomstruggled, he couldn't break free.

"Ahem!"

"I am the agent of The Triple Evil; even if you kill me once, I can be reborn!"

Doctor Doom's eyes were savage, bloodshot.

He had pawned his soul to The Triple Evil.

That gave him a chance to turn the tables. Since Linnclaimed he was inferior to Tony Stark, why not become Tony Stark!

Crack!

Linn's fingers tightened, snapping Doom's neck, yet Victor Von Doom's soul instantly teleported away.

It departed for the Hades Dimension!

Because every soul has its destination; without a contract, it falls into its respective underworld.

"Is Doom dead?"

The Superheroes exhaled in relief; even Gluttony raised his hands in surrender, tossing his weapon aside.

Death God Karl and Doctor Doom had both been crushed—what reason was there to keep fighting?

Yet more Gluttony warriors retreated, leaping through space to find a new patron!

"Doctor Doom's body is dead, but his soul is not extinguished."

"I sense a malicious intent; Victor Von Doom's soul seems to have set its sights on Tony."

Linn's gaze turned cold.

He couldn't predict the future, but Doom's mention of the imminent collapse of the Multiverse had put him on guard.

The Multiverse's collapse might well be tied to Newton—Newton was no benevolent figure!

"Newton?"

"The scientist who lives only in textbooks actually survives, acting as the spokesman for the Brotherhood of the Shield?"

Dr. Banner reverted to human form—Hulk for battle, Banner for thought.

Yet Newton's existence left him conflicted.

"In short, peace is always temporary."

Linn gazed into the void.

It was as if he saw Wizard Merlin sneering in a starlight castle, using the Universe as a chessboard and all living beings as pawns!

A hint of melancholy flashed in his eyes.

"Merlin… what exactly do you want?"

Linn flicked a fingertip.

He lifted the vibranium sun.

The vibranium sun shimmered, half gold, half scarlet, rewritten by Chaos Magic into unknown energy.

Yet this was the shed skin of the Old Ones!

Or simply put, the dandruff of the Old Ones!

Every Universe contains Vibranium, showing that the Old Ones have seeped into each Universe.

[You have defeated Doom and obtained the vibranium sun.]

A line of text appeared.

Tony approached with a shameless grin.

"Linn, let me use this vibranium sun; I'll build the EarthArmor!"

Chapter 143 – Force the heart of the universe!

Linn nodded.

He bestowed the vibranium sun upon Tony. Thanks to Chaos Magic, the Vibranium had already developed arcane properties, making it perfect for forging magic artifacts.

An Earth-forged battle-suit!

It would also prove decisive in the super-war triggered by the Collision Event.

After all, he had already glimpsed the apocalypse, and the girl Bai Ya had warned him: the end times would be pitted with abyssal sinkholes, Xenophages everywhere.

The hero panel is the Void panel.

Whoever dons the Void panel becomes a Void Creature; it is an invasion of dimensions.

"The Void..."

"Will it collapse the Multiverse?"

Holy Kaisa frowned.

She was fully immersed in her role; if Death God Karlcould retain his identity and memories through the Void Engine, then so could she.

So she chose to abandon her past life and live as Kaisa.

"Who knows?"

"But the apocalyptic spacetime will definitely raise a cosmic bridge in the deep sea. Though we call it a bridge, it is really just a confluence space."

"To prevent annihilation from the Collision Event, we must hurry."

Linn's gaze was profound.

He then led his team back to Avalon. With the Devourer civilization's retreat, Earth enjoyed a brief peace.

Yet Linn's premonition only grew stronger.

The Westview Illusion had already spread across half the Universe, even shrouding the Dark Quadrant—Thanos's Sanctuary.

His soul left his body, roaming the starry seas.

He discovered the Universe had been completely rewritten, almost qualifying as a Westview Universeevolved from the Westview Illusion; everything was overturned.

Only a handful of lucky ones retained their memories and thoughts, using Chaos Magic to steer events in their favor.

Odin, for example.

Linn visited Asgard. The divine realm, as beautiful as a fairyland, remained unchanged, just as before.

Yet Chaos Magic energy now permeated Asgard as well.

His soul was almost tangible, shaped by the Law of Illusion; it could wield every power and quickly drew the guards' attention.

A god in golden mail leaned on his sword, standing before Linn, voice tinged with resignation.

"Venerable Linn, long time no see."

"Who would have thought the Westview Illusion would expand from a single town to blanket the entire Universe?"

"Even the Nine Realms were drawn in. Fortunately, His Majesty Odin cast a forbidden spell to isolate the influence of Chaos."

Heimdall said in a deep voice.

Until now he had remained outside the illusion, trying to spy within.

Yet even with eyes that see all and ears that hear all, he could not pierce the barrier of Chaos.

It was only when Doctor Doom used the vibranium sunthat reality was rewritten once more.

It also transformed the Westview Illusion into the Westview Universe!

"Heimdall, the Great Serpent, God of Fear, is about to invade; the Heavenly Palace must contribute."

"After all, the god of fear is an Asgardian."

Linn curved his lips in a smile.

He would unite every force to win this super-war!

A battle that would decide the very survival of the Westview Universe!

Indeed, with the power he now possessed, he could no longer rewind reality, meaning the new history had overwritten the old.

"You and His Majesty Odin think alike."

"This World can no longer be reversed."

Heimdall sighed.

"It is not impossible to rewind—unless we find the reality controller and use it to restore the cosmic blueprint."

Linn said with a smile.

"You actually know of the reality controller?"

Heimdall was stunned.

He had only read of it in ancient texts; it was even more mysterious than the Infinity Stones—a remote control for reality itself.

"In any case, take me to Odin."

Linn stepped forward.

Soon he arrived at the magnificent Heavenly Palace.

A hall of resplendent gold met his eyes.

A one-eyed figure leaned on the Eternal Spear, white of hair and beard, his right eye covered by gold leaf, his face exhausted.

He was nearly spent.

Resisting Chaos Magic had drained his last shred of divine power and burned through his life.

"Venerable Linn, you must now realize how insignificant mortal power is before the grand tide of the Universe."

"I have no strength left. I hope you can summon Thor; I will pass on the throne, and also bring the amnesiac Loki."

Odin's voice was weak, no longer commanding.

It made Linn sigh with sorrow.

At this moment Odin was like a lonely old man in urgent need of his family's company.

"Very well."

Linn opened a Mystic Gate.

Then the God of Hammers appeared before Odin, along with a fast-food clerk who resembled Loki.

Chaos Magic had rewritten Loki into a mortal, erasing all memory of his past life.

Yet when Loki regained his memories, that experience let him grasp life's truth: being born a god was not a curse.

"Father."

Loki stood obediently.

Seeing the aged Odin, he could not help feeling compassion.

"Odin, thank you for not killing me."

Hela's beautiful eyes flashed with pain.

After being used by the God Above Gods, she finally understood Odin's good intentions in sealing her in Helheim; it had not been punishment.

"Since you have seen the light, stay in Asgard."

"The curse of Ragnarok has long robbed me of sleep. I hope you, Thor, and Loki can defeat the Gods Above Gods."

Affection shimmered in Odin's single eye.

Then his body turned to golden light, bound for the legendary Hall of Valor; the Eternal Spear passed to Thor.

Thor officially took the throne as King of Asgard!

"Still... I prefer Midgard. Hela, this seat is yours."

Thor scratched his head.

"You want me to take the throne?"

Hela's eyes lit up.

Though she had lost her divine power, after arriving in Asgard it was slowly returning.

Yet her outlook had changed; she now knew the true enemies were those Gods Above Gods!

To keep the Heavenly Palace standing, the Gods Above Gods had to be eliminated—and so did the Great Serpent!

"So where is the Serpent's weakness?"

Linn probed.

"His weakness... is fear. If you can make him afraid, his power will drain away."

Hela answered truthfully.

Yet when she tried to lift the Eternal Spear, she could not budge it.

Runes carved on the spear embodied Odin's vow: should Linn defeat the Serpent, the spear would belong to Linn.

"The god of fear's weakness is fear?"

Linn could not help smiling.

He then bade the God of Hammers farewell, stepped through a Mystic Gate, and arrived directly on Sakaar.

The Arena Planet.

Chaotic and lawless as ever.

The sky was riddled with wormholes that periodically dumped electronic trash; exiled star-criminals tumbled onto the garbage heaps.

"Chaos Magic hasn't rewritten this Planet?"

"All the better."

Linn rose into the air; Levitation Power whirled the airflow, and in a blink he reached the Arena.

He appeared before the Grandmaster.

"Venerable Linn? Sakaar was shaken earlier—I sensed magic, and here you are!"

The Grandmaster's face lit with excitement.

He knew Linn's power well and looked forward to another Arena performance.

"I'm not here for sport. I want to know where the Cosmic Elders have hidden the heart of the universe."

Linn cut straight to the point.

For the Cosmic Elders drew their lifespan from the heart of the universe!

"What heart of the universe? Never heard of it!"

The Grandmaster was visibly nervous.

Without the protection of the heart of the universe, a Cosmic Elder was as mortal as any man.

It concerned the safety of the Universe itself.

The heart of the universe was the very lifeblood of the cosmos!

"Must I get serious? I'd prefer plain speaking—don't make me angry."

Linn narrowed his eyes.

He had to obtain the heart of the universe!

And the transcendence cube!

Forge them into a reality controller, secure an invincible position, avert the collapse of the Multiverse, and make the Westview Universe eternal!

Chapter 144 – The Collision War Erupts!

"Venerable Lin En, I truly know nothing about the heart of the universe."

"Am I, in your eyes, an omniscient God?"

The Grandmaster said shamelessly.

As long as he refused to admit it, Lin En had no way to force him; after all, the very existence of the heart of the universe could shake the entire cosmos.

It was the lifeline of the Universe.

Whoever held the heart of the universe held everything!

Even the Cosmic Elders had to bow to the heart of the universe and follow its will.

"Grandmaster."

"It's not that I want the heart of the universe—its existence has already been exposed. I suspect it has been stolen."

Lin En's eyes flashed with sharp light.

He planned to probe the Grandmaster's reaction, even if he had to invent a thief.

"How is that possible?"

"The heart of the universe was buried—"

"Hold on, are you talking about Thanos? He knows where the heart of the universe is! He even joined the Cosmic Elders once, only to betray them later!"

The Grandmaster shivered with alarm.

Thanos!

The Mad Titan.

He destroyed his own home world with his own hands and now occupies the Dark Quadrant, rallying a gang of space thugs and criminals, claiming he has sensed destiny!

He has been slaughtering relentlessly, wiping out half the population, convinced it is fate.

Yet recently Thanos vanished without a trace, searching for something; rumors reached the Grandmaster's ears—perhaps it was the heart of the universe?

"Then it must be Thanos."

Lin En nodded.

Thanos wanted to gather the Infinity Stones and snap his fingers to erase half of all life.

But Lin En had already collected the Stones first and forged them into a heart of magic, so Thanos could only settle for the heart of the universe to fulfill his destiny.

The heart of the universe!

It rivaled all six Infinity Stones.

It could even surpass them, render them useless, and cast them into the dust.

All energy in the Universe originated from the heart of the universe.

He had to obtain it to keep Thanos from snapping his fingers—an act that might still affect him.

"Thanos was once a Cosmic Elder?"

Lin En's pupils rippled.

He could not tell whether the Grandmaster spoke truth or lie.

Yet the Grandmaster sighed faintly. "In his early years Thanos was not the Mad Titan; he studied across the cosmos, visited Tivan and me, and even lived on Sakaar."

"But he chose to leave, founded the Black Order, and became death's pawn."

"If Thanos seizes the heart of the universe, he will court unspeakable catastrophe to please death."

"Venerable Lin En, the heart of the universe is—"

The Grandmaster was about to speak.

In the next instant a blade pierced his chest; the nearest female guard coldly withdrew it, her eyes devoid of feeling.

She leapt through the window and vanished in an instant.

"Gamora?"

"The most dangerous woman in the Universe? Why is she on Sakaar!"

Exclamations rang out.

A golden glow spilled from Lin En's fingertip; the Power of Restoration of the horse talisman healed the Grandmaster in time, filling the latter with relief—and lingering dread.

"If Gamora can wound me… it means the heart of the universe no longer shelters the Cosmic Elders…"

"The Heart has changed hands—most likely to Thanos!"

"Otherwise his adopted daughter would not be here!"

Terror twisted the Grandmaster's face.

It was the Heart's protection that granted the Cosmic Elders immortality and immunity to all disease and harm.

And he had felt death!

Without Lin En's healing he might have perished!

"Thanos, the heart of the universe…"

Lin En's gaze turned profound.

He could imagine the Heart bestowing Thanos with unimaginable power.

Even Gamora had gained benefits—she teleported away under his nose like a ghost!

"The heart of the universe surpasses the Infinity Stones; it is the only substance from the birth of the Universe that was never worn away."

The Grandmaster trembled.

Whoever held the Heart could command the Cosmic Elders!

The Cosmic Elders

were the mightiest beings in the Universe, second only to the Gods.

Yet he was no longer one of them; the Heart had withdrawn its power, reducing him almost to a mortal!

[SS-Rank Opportunity Mission: defeat the Mad Titanand obtain the Titan treasure.]

A line of text popped up.

"Titan treasure?"

"What is that? Could the relics of Titan be in Thanos's hands?"

Lin En mused.

But his soul was outside his body; he needed to return to Avalon, for only when body and soul reunited could he fight at full strength.

He sliced open a Mystic Gate and stepped through.

Across the continent of Avalon buildings of every kind rose, gleaming skyscrapers bearing the Avengersemblem.

It was the new Avengers Base.

Tony Stark had accepted reality; the Westview Illusionhad become the Westview Universe, and since the past could not be undone he would start from scratch!

Fortunately he now possessed resources he had lacked before; the mithril mined in Avalon could serve as armor material.

Avalon was rich in resources.

Even the sinews and hides of monsters contained active substances that could strengthen human cells.

Yet many beings coveted Avalon from the shadows.

"Linn, to prepare for the Super War I've duplicated the hero panel; if you can inscribe runes the effect should be even better."

Tony smiled.

A living membrane clung to his body, breathing like a creature.

It was a bio-mimetic material he had created based on the hero panel sample; he had hunted countless monsters to find a suitable substitute.

"Not bad, Tony."

"The Super War may break out in the deep sea."

"This bio-mimetic material can withstand water pressure and solves the problem perfectly—worthy of a super-genius."

Lin En showed approval.

He sketched a rune with his fingertip; golden light spilled as he engraved Arcane Arts into the material.

He enchanted the bio-mimetic suit!

Once enchanted, the material became tougher and could adapt to its host's traits.

"Feels like wearing nothing at all."

Captain America donned the membrane and felt the benefits; his eyes lit up as his strikes turned swifter.

He could now endure extreme environments without fear of deep-sea pressure.

"Venerable Lin En, don't forget your promise."

The girl Bai Ya fluttered her lashes.

She hoped the residents of the apocalyptic spacetimecould migrate to the Westview Universe and settle in Avalon, where there was ample room.

After all, in a collision-annihilation event only one side could survive!

"I haven't forgotten."

Lin En's gaze sharpened.

He had sensed a magic crystal shatter!

Earlier he had given the crystal to Namo; crushing it would mean the Cosmic Bridge had appeared!

He sliced open a Mystic Gate straight to the deep sea.

A spatial rift spun into a vortex.

At the junction of two Planets an overlapping space appeared, holding buildings from the apocalyptic spacetime and scenery from the Westview Universe.

Swarms of Deep Sea Behemoths and warriors wearing Void Panels had waited; the instant the Cosmic Bridge formed

they charged through, while Namo led the Talokanpeople against the apocalyptic invaders!

"Avengers, assemble."

Captain America raised shield and hammer.

The bio-mimetic membrane covered him; gills formed on his cheeks, giving him underwater capability.

Because the Cosmic Bridge had opened beneath the sea!

All Superheroes—Dragon Squad and Xiongbing Company—were armed to the teeth with bio-mimetic panels, charging alongside Captain America.

They descended into the deep sea, disoriented at first, but the membrane quickly dispelled the discomfort.

"How could you leave me out?"

Thor's roar echoed.

A beam from the Bifrost Bridge slashed down.

He led the Asgardian Guards straight onto the Cosmic Bridge!

Deep-sea pressure?

To an Asgardian it might as well not exist!

Chapter 145 – You Curse Me and Still Expect to Live?

The Cosmic Bridge.

It formed a unique border-space.

This happens near the end of a Collision Event—if one side destroys the other's World first,

the sacrifice is complete!

The Cosmic Bridge was now flooded with seawater. Armored with the Void Panel, the apocalyptic warriors struck with ruthless precision; the invasion of the Abyss Dimension had already burned away every last shred of their conscience.

Above all, the Great Serpent, God of Fear, used his terror-divinity to dominate the apocalypse and built safe zones for the survivors, winning the allegiance of all humanity.

In Bai Ya's estimation, these Void warriors were almost all ranked above A, no different from the Avengers!

Even better, the Void Panel's enhancements had dramatically raised their physical stats and let them manipulate void energy, stirring up whirlpools in the deep sea!

A towering, sacred figure stood at the far end of the Cosmic Bridge. His frame was massive and powerful, divine tides swirling around him, eyes blazing with searing light.

"son of odin… was his name Thor?"

"I sensed Odin's fall. With your paltry power you dare bar my path and claim the throne of Asgard?"

"I will destroy your Universe!"

"You will kneel before me and beg for my mercy."

The Great Serpent, God of Fear, wore a savage grin; at last his moment had come, leading his apocalyptic host to war.

Colossal Deep Sea Behemoths, like tamed beasts, rampaged across the Cosmic Bridge, their shockwaves ripping the air apart.

Thor swung his god hammer, lightning exploding in all directions!

Yet he could not budge the Deep Sea Behemoth; a sweep of its tail sent him flying.

"Linn, surprised? I was hurled into the apocalyptic spacetime, and there I uncovered the secrets of the Void and mastered the power of the Abyss!"

A wild, wicked laugh rang out.

Ultimate Iron Man, clad in Xenophage armor, liquid fibers coiling over his frame, gleamed with metallic luster, his chest-reactor roaring.

A single repulsor blast from his palm sent Tony Starktumbling. In this apocalypse he had virtually no equal!

He had even gained the trust of the god of fear, who etched runes onto his Xenophage armor.

He was practically another Doctor Doom, the perfect blend of sorcery and science.

Earlier, he had dumped Extremis into San Francisco's water supply. Linn used the tiger talisman to split him away, and just as judgment loomed he was flung into the apocalypse!

The Collision Event had scrambled space itself.

But the mishap thrilled him: the matter of this apocalyptic realm, altered by Abyss radiation, now rivaled Vibraniumin potency.

Most of all, he had refitted the Void Panel into the Xenophage armor, fusing it perfectly with himself.

"Am I really that evil?"

Tony's eyes were full of disdain.

Facing his evil self, he decided to settle things personally. He smelted the vibranium sun into an Earth-armor.

A flight pod crashed through the door, mid-air knobs unfolding into mechanical parts that snapped onto his body—instantly becoming a Gundam!

Whirr!

The Gundam armor, titanic as a beast, absorbed every kinetic strike on its glowing hide,

then hurled the energy right back!

Even the Deep Sea Behemoth, caught in the backlash, wailed as its body cracked and gushed blood.

Though the Gundam was only half-finished, it could stand toe-to-toe with the monster.

The vibranium sun, steeped in Chaos Magic, gave the armor god-like resistance to sorcery.

"Vibranium?"

"It can't match my Xenophage armor!"

Ultimate Iron Man raged.

He could not accept losing to Tony!

Same intellect, same genius—why did Tony Stark always stay one step ahead?

It broke him.

"Because… you backed the wrong horse. Great Serpent, God of Fear? He's just using you."

"But I'm Linn's brother!"

Tony smirked,

then threw Linn a wink that left him laughing and crying at once.

He wasn't exactly wrong.

"This super-war decides the fate of the Universe, Tony—maybe drop the grin."

"I'll handle the Serpent. Cut off the head and the Void warriors will falter."

Linn gripped the black death sword.

Flames of fire qi blazed along the blade; his body shone like a star, the Nineteen Talismans flickering around him, limitless mana pouring out.

Even the deep-sea realm quaked!

The Cosmic Bridge groaned and cracked.

He could now stride across it straight into the apocalyptic spacetime—the Universe of his birth.

His own crossing had triggered the Collision Event, and guilt gnawed at him. With the heart of magic he could migrate the apocalypse's survivors to Avalon—

but only after he crushed the god of fear!

The Great Serpent's one weakness was fear itself.

Perhaps his power came from Utgard—he was nothing but a tool.

"The God Above Gods has given me a mission: I will destroy your Universe and stage Ragnarok!"

"And I will be welcomed into Utgard as a God Above Gods!"

"Linn, you have no idea how great the God Above Godstruly is."

Cul Borson's face was feverish.

Every tyrannical act of his reign had been at the behest of the God Above Gods—mere appetizers!

He had long since written Asgard off as a feast.

Even the aura of the God Above Gods spilled across the Cosmic Bridge, starlight drizzling from the sky.

Bathed in it, the Serpent's power surged; in a blink he was in Linn's face, fist hammering down!

Boom!

Linn met the punch head-on; the ox talisman glinted in his pupils, his bones denser than iron, his strength sky-shattering—like a pillar-god!

A deafening blast followed,

as if a planet-cracking warhead had detonated out of nowhere.

Turbulent energy swept in every direction; Void warriors and Deep Sea Behemoths alike were knocked senseless in the storm.

The Superheroes barely scrambled clear.

When the chaos cleared they saw the Cosmic Bridge snapped in two, the border-space spider-webbed with cracks, on the verge of collapse.

They now knew the god of fear's might—far beyond that of the King of the Gods.

"How do we stop him?"

"Linn—use the heart of magic!"

Captain America Steve shouted.

Hulk smashed Void warriors aside, but more kept pouring in, an endless tide fighting for the Universe's survival, every last one ready to die.

To surrender meant the apocalyptic spacetime would be erased!

No one could pay that price.

"Linn, you're from the apocalypse—you caused it!"

"You betrayed your World, you betrayed all humanity!"

"You're the sinner!"

"Pay with your life!"

Voice after voice, venomous curses, flew at him; the Void warriors raved, damning Linn.

After all, if Linn had never crossed over, the Collision Event would never have happened and the apocalypse would never have come.

Every disaster stemmed from Linn!

"Linn, you disgrace to the Universe—how dare you show your face?"

"Help us destroy the Westview Universe!"

The Void warriors hurled moral condemnation like spears.

Linn endured it all in silence.

When at last they ran out of curses, he gave a cold smile.

"Done talking?"

"Since I've taken your abuse, I owe you nothing. The only World I'll protect is the Westview Universe."

Murderous light flashed in his eyes.

He raised the heart of magic; a spherical shield enveloped the Cosmic Bridge—

and trapped the god of fear and Ultimate Iron Man inside!

The Void warriors stared, stunned. That was it—just take the scolding and walk away?

What kind of logic was that?

Chapter 146 – Snapped Out of Existence!

Linn held the heart of magic in his hand.

The guilt in his heart had vanished. He had endured every insult; that alone had paid the price. What more did they want?

He hadn't even blamed the great luck that had once sent him to Kamar-Taj.

Who had ever cared about him?

'I didn't choose to cross worlds; it was nothing but a twist of fate. My guilt is just guilt—nothing more.'

'But I know exactly where every one of my friends is.'

'I will guard the Westview Universe. No one sets foot across the forbidden line.'

Cold light flashed in Linn's eyes.

At once the heart of magic spilled streams of light, and ripples of Impact spread outward.

It almost completely forbade the activation of any magic!

It made the Great Serpent, God of Fear, flinch in alarm; even part of his divine power had become useless!

'What is this?'

'You actually possess the heart of the universe—a supreme artifact equal to the transcendence cube!'

'Impossible!'

Cul Borson was chilled to the bone.

The heart of magic.

The source of all magic, the nexus of every spell, the very essence of sorcery itself!

Whoever held the heart of magic could command all sorcery.

And he plummeted straight to the mortal realm; seawater surged into his nostrils. Even protected by the void panel, he felt a moment of suffocation!

'Cul.'

'Your crime was throwing in with the God Above Gods. I'll fight my way to Utgard and end every ancient God!'

Linn raised the black death sword.

Woom!

A blazing column of light, wrapped in scorching fire qi, detonated across the Deep Sea Behemoth's domain.

Even the abyssal depths could not extinguish his fire qi!

The Great Serpent, God of Fear, was swallowed by searing flame, shrieking shrilly, left with no strength to fight back; even his void panel cracked!

Crack-crack!

The void panel turned to ash, the god of fear destroyed body and soul. Deprived of his divine power, he disintegrated within the storm of fire qi.

Yet his soul left his body, and the Great Serpent jolted awake—his divine power had returned!

'The heart of magic… can only control magic…'

'A soul isn't within that scope, Linn!'

'You won't stop me!'

The god of fear's soul flashed away, diving into the nearest Deep Sea Behemoth—serpentine yet draconic, armour-plated, overlord of the abyss.

The instant Cul possessed it,

the Deep Sea Behemoth's eyes blazed with hatred. It exhaled a breath of cold that froze the entire deep-sea realm; at a hundred below zero even Superheroesshivered.

In the blink of an eye they were ice-statues!

'Not good!'

Thor swung his god hammer, lightning crackling round his body to fend off the frost, but just as he counter-attacked, Ultimate Iron Man struck him, arcs erupting across his frame!

For an instant his movements froze!

'Linn!'

'I am your fear! Even if you never die, the Universe you guard will be shattered by me!'

The Great Serpent reared and roared.

Ripples swept the abyss; every behemoth shot forward like a shell, savagely ramming the spell-casting Linn.

Shhk!

Linn swept out his sword.

He cut a Deep Sea Behemoth clean in half, but for each one slain another surged to take its place!

Void warriors whipped up whirlpools, firing energy rays; the void panel bestowed powers beyond the reach of magic!

'Enough.'

Linn exhaled and spoke.

Then his thumb pressed his middle finger.

Drawing on the heart of magic, gamma matter flowed over his body in brilliant neon light, furrowing his brow.

A heart of magic forged from the six Infinity Stones and the norn holy stone.

It too could shake the Universe!

Click!

He snapped his fingers.

The snap's backlash tore at him; the horse and dog talismans kept his life-bar locked, yet torment of body and soul made his frame tremble!

The power nearly shredded his consciousness!

He could not describe it—like the energy of a universal big-bang detonating at his fingertip.

For a second his mind went dark; thanks to the horse and dog talismans he woke again.

Lightning veins laced his skin; without his monstrous mana, that snap would have killed him!

'Thanos…'

'In the show he snapped twice without the horse and dog talismans—his body must be unique. Likely he held the heart of the universe, a being rivalling Gods.'

Linn's gaze was ice-cold.

Squads of void warriors and Deep Sea Behemoths froze in place, motionless.

Even Ultimate Iron Man halted, almost completely petrified.

One breath later.

Every void warrior and Deep Sea Behemoth crumbled into dust-fine ash, washed away by the currents.

Ultimate Iron Man looked defiant, yet he could not defy the law!

The Great Serpent, God of Fear, was snapped out of existence.

Even in that final instant he tried to strike Linn, but the attack never landed before he disintegrated!

'Is it over?'

'The Serpent… is dead!'

'The power of that snap—terrifying!'

'Linn, are you all right?'

'Looks like the backlash hit him too!'

Superheroes crowded around.

With a snap Linn had erased the apocalypse's denizens and saved the Superheroes, but his face was pale, his aura weak, still enduring the snap's recoil.

Even with the horse and dog talismans he could not heal in an instant; he needed rest.

Yet Linn shook his head.

'No time to rest. We must reach the apocalyptic spacetime, protect the survivors, then destroy the other Earth for a true happy ending.'

Forcing his body forward, Linn stepped into the spatial vortex. He reached the abyssal waters, but the timeline had already shifted.

The girl Bai Ya followed, rising with him to the sky to overlook the apocalyptic plane.

Skyscrapers lay in ruins; hordes of Xenophage swarmed. This was the world of his birth, now drenched in abyssal energy that mutated flora and fauna.

Craters pocked the continental plates, making his eyes sting.

'Linn, do you still have strength left?'

Bai Ya's gaze was full of worry.

She feared he might worsen—for Earth had become a wasteland thanks to the Black-Clothed Emperor!

Perhaps that very emperor was here, waiting for Linn.

'So you finally deign to come?'

'Linn, return my black death sword and perhaps I'll let you live.'

A cold, evil voice echoed.

Abyssal aura seethed.

Every Xenophage shrieked, bowing as one to their Master!

Within the abyssal crater.

A gaunt, silver-haired figure emerged, shoulders draped in Symbiote armour. Life in darkness had bleached his panel deathly pale.

Like a Vampire spectre he sat upon a throne woven from Xenophage, nails thick and razor-sharp, exuding lethal menace.

Crimson eyes fierce, he was the source of the apocalypse, Master of every Xenophage, the living abyss incarnate.

And he had waited here all along in apocalyptic spacetime for Linn to appear.

He would reclaim his black death sword!

He would snuff out stars and erase light!

For light and heat caused him pain—his greatest weakness.

Like a living black hole he bent space, black gases venting around him, deemed the nemesis of Gods!

Only with the black death sword could he return to his peak.

'Knull.'

Linn frowned.

So the final boss of the Collision Event wasn't the god of fear after all—it was the Black-Clothed Emperor?!

Yet Linn had snapped once and still suffered backlash; clearly he was weaker than the emperor.

'Linn, I command every Xenophage. The void panel on her body is my eyes and ears—I know your condition.'

'You are no match for me. Hand over the black death sword willingly, become my slave and soldier, and slay every God.'

'Wouldn't that be nice?'

Knull grinned, lips curling to reveal rows of fangs.

Thousands of Xenophage, each an indescribable horror, hideous and savage!

Chapter 147 – Intermediate Multiverse! (Please vote with your Golden Tickets)

Knull!

The name of the Black-Clothed Emperor resounds throughout the Multiverse, bestowed by the Cosmic Celestials.

For Knull embodies the Abyss, a void-God born from annihilation, allergic to light and as fragile as a Vampire.

Yet he created the Symbiotes; once united with them, he could stand against the light!

To forge the black death sword, Knull cast the weapon in the blood-flame that flowed from a decapitated Celestial; the sword absorbed Celestial genes like scripture.

Celestial genes are lethal to it!

But when Linn opened his third eye, he saw the truth behind the veil: the Knull before him was not the true Black-Clothed Emperor.

Only a projected avatar.

Because Knull is sealed away, imprisoned on the Symbiote Planet; only the black death sword can break the seal—he needs its power!

You think a mere avatar can defeat me? Even in my weakened state, I'm no Xenophage to be shaken.

The corner of Linn's mouth curved.

He lifted the black death sword above his head; ripples of energy rolled along the blade, releasing torrents of Abyssal Power!

The Xenophages shrieked, glancing back and forth between Black King Knull and Linn, as if bewildered over who their true Master might be.

I am the nemesis of Gods—Linn.

Do you possess strength to defy Celestials? I can behead them; even without the black death sword, I myself am a living abyss!

Knull rose, his pale, twisted face showing a savage grin.

Liquid fibers rippled across his body, shaping into a razor-sharp blade; this avatar could barely leave the Abyss, but his true form could not!

The seal set by the Celestial Supreme had suppressed him for eons—there was no escape.

Yet the black death sword was within reach; for hope of freedom he resolved to sink the Planet and personally destroy this apocalyptic spacetime!

Knull dragged conduits behind him, liquid fibers pumping power until his might rivaled Gods.

Swarms of Xenophages bared fangs at Linn like rabid Beasts, reeking breath fouling the air.

[s-rank opportunity mission: defeat Knull's avatar to obtain the abyssal rune.]

A line of text bubbled up.

Light flashed in Linn's eyes.

An abyssal rune?

Such a thing actually exists!

Could the Black-Clothed Emperor Knull be a personified totem, a fragment of the Universe, and thus unkillable?

He grasped the essence of things.

Everything in the Multiverse is born from the cosmic blueprint—but who designed that blueprint? He still had no answer.

Yet if he could obtain the abyssal rune, he might have a chance to refine Knull into a talisman—or gain a demonic qi that would skyrocket his power!

Linn… can you handle this?

He's the Master of the Xenophages, the true culprit behind the apocalypse! Though you triggered the Collision Event, Earth's fall was all his scheming!

The girl Bai Ya's face was pale with dread.

She wanted Linn to save the survivors, never guessing Knull had been hiding in this apocalyptic spacetime. If Linn lost, both Universes might collapse.

Collision annihilation would be inevitable.

After all, as the nemesis of Gods, Knull could even behead Celestials—how could Linn, still beneath them, prevail?

Beneath Celestials?

Only for now, Bai Ya. I may be weak, but that doesn't mean Knull's avatar can make me surrender.

Linn sneered.

He knew Xenophages regenerate endlessly; even crushed to slag they reform, mutating by devouring genes.

But the fire qi he commanded, as hot as the Sun's core, could incinerate every impurity!

Boom!

Raging flames burst from his palm, radiating boundless light and heat; Knull instinctively halted, a flicker of dread in his eyes.

Born of the Abyss, Knull was a living embodiment of darkness—light and heat were his greatest weakness!

How do you wield the law of Fire?

Did you devour the Eternal Flame?

Knull's gaze turned icy.

Only one substance had ever emitted such heat and light: the Eternal Flame, first divine fire of the Nine Realms!

A thousand blazing Suns in temperature—yet Linn could command it? Impossible; only the lord of the fire giants could endure that flame!

Eternal Flame? My fire qi surpasses it. Even if it equals a thousand Suns, it can't match mine!

Linn's lips curled in cold amusement.

He spent opportunity to upgrade the Dragon Talisman!

A burst of brilliant light flashed.

An info panel popped up before him.

[Dragon Talisman (Intermediate): Fire-law power doubled. You are the true Emperor of Fire; all flames bow before your fire qi.]

Emperor of Fire?

Looks like I'm your equal now, Knull.

Linn's eyes blazed.

Flames far hotter than the solar core—nearly a hundred million degrees—erupted from every pore.

Endless light and heat dispersed the gloom of the apocalyptic spacetime, nearly burning through the sky as spatial fissures spread.

His fire qi had doubled!

And this was only the intermediate stage; what heights would the advanced stage reach?

It might even surpass the Eternal Flame!

Your fire qi… doubled in power? Impossible!

I've never heard of laws that can grow—you actually broke that limit! What manner of being are you?

The Black-Clothed Emperor's worldview shattered.

His interface stung; the rolling heat scorched him like ants in a steamer.

Entire swarms of Xenophages wailed, melting into liquid that could no longer rejoin.

The flames seemed to sever their very genetic chains!

Golden light flared in Linn's eyes.

Empowered by the upgraded Dragon Talisman, his optic beams became like solar fire, piercing Knull's armor from afar!

A gaping hole burst open in Knull's chest.

Even liquid matter tried to mend it; Knull broke in a cold sweat, sucking in a sharp breath.

The memory surfaced of drifting asleep in the void until the blinding light of Creation woke him.

The Cosmic Celestials had been gardeners, forging Suns, spreading light, electricity, force, heat—weaving the laws of the Universe.

When their task ended, they would burn out and fall into the God-Quarry as statues, awaiting rebirth.

I will find you…

Even if you destroy this avatar, I will find you!

Knull faced the light and heat; surging fire qi incinerated his avatar, yet his malice lingered, echoing through the apocalypse.

Even reduced to ash he would be reborn in the Abyss—no one can truly kill him.

He would spare no cost to break the seal and turn the Universe Linn guarded into part of the Abyss!

If you were a beauty come looking for me, fine—but look at you, like some water-ghoul.

Crawl back to your Abyss and stay there.

Linn snorted.

He grasped the heart of magic, channeling its energy to erase the Abyssal rift.

The gateway to the Abyss was severed completely.

Survivors of the apocalyptic spacetime saw beams of light descend; stepping into them, they found themselves in bubbles cupped in Linn's palm.

He tucked the survivors into a Pocket Universe.

Handing it to the girl Bai Ya, he told her to open it in Avalon; all survivors would be restored as citizens of that realm.

Linn… you're not leaving?

Bai Ya's lovely eyes showed confusion.

I have to destroy this Planet to end the Collision Event.

Linn's gaze was fierce.

He gathered his fire qi into a sphere like a miniature Sunand sent it deep into Earth!

Chapter 148 – Grandmaster: SOS!

Linn stood on the Moon, gazing at the galaxy.

As his fingers flicked, the fire qi he'd hurled into Eartherupted in a deafening blast.

The Planet shuddered, glowing veins of heat spider-webbing across its crust. Natural disasters raged, energy storms flared, and in the blink of an eye the World was reduced to ash and dust.

And he felt it clearly: the Collision Event was over.

He had sacrificed this Universe to keep the Westview Universe alive.

Beside him appeared a monk-like figure, robes trailing, eyes luminous, scalp brilliantly bare, a medal hanging over his chest.

"Venerable Linn, you have saved your World—but only for a moment. The Multiverse is still collapsing."

"Collision Events will strike again, and even Galactus may set his sights on you."

The Watcher Uatu has always observed the Multiversefrom beyond it.

He has read countless stories and witnessed countless catastrophes; The Watchers themselves trace back to the God of Beginnings.

Neither hero nor villain.

Linn glanced sideways. He already knew the Multiversewas fracturing—so what?

"I will keep the Collision from happening to my Universe."

"Even if new history overwrites the old, even if Chaos Magic rewrites everything, it has already evolved into the Westview Universe."

Linn's gaze sharpened.

Westview Universe!

That was the designation of his timeline.

Unlike other Worlds, it was an updated version, outside the Time Variance Authority's jurisdiction—yet it had an Anchor.

An Anchor was a Universe's pillar; if the Anchor died, the Universe would crumble—only a matter of time.

And the Anchor of the Westview Universe was Wanda.

Therefore, he guarded Wanda relentlessly; no scheme could harm her.

"Many things can't be avoided just because you wish it, Linn."

"Still, I admire your courage. I must warn you: Thanos has claimed the heart of the universe. He will reshape the Westview Universe, destroy this World with his own hands, and birth a new timeline—"

"—because he believes Chaos Magic has upset cosmic balance."

"And it concerns you as well. During the Battle of New York you killed Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, earning Thanos's hatred."

The Watcher gave an early spoiler.

With a sweep of his sleeve they arrived in a tavern where several figures stood or sat.

Linn found them familiar.

"Dark Strange? Star-Lord T'Challa? Party Thor? CaptainCarter? Killmonger?"

Linn's pupils flickered.

He suddenly realized The Watcher hadn't appeared without purpose—he wanted Linn to defeat Ultron Infinite!

"Exactly, Linn."

"In one parallel Universe Ultron's plan succeeded. He forged a Vibranium body, gathered all six Infinity Stones, and nearly annihilated his World."

"He even heard my voice, realized Worlds exist beyond Worlds. To stop Ultron Infinite I've formed the Multiverse Guard and invite you to join."

The Watcher looked ashamed.

Watchers never interfere—yet Ultron Infinite had discovered him!

Action was mandatory, so he recruited heroes he deemed worthy, Linn among them.

In truth he had watched Linn all along.

From the moment Linn became Sanctum Master he sensed this mortal's future was boundless; even with a Watcher's medal he could not see it all.

"He's also Sorcerer Supreme? Named Linn?"

Dark Strange frowned, eyes ringed black, body exuding dark magic.

To reverse an absolute point and save his beloved Christine he had devoured countless mystic creatures in the Kamar-Taj library, gaining infinite power.

But it reduced everything to death!

His Universe became a crystal ball.

His love did not return, and his cosmos perished with him.

Later, to atone, Dark Strange hunted variants, forging an Infinite Furnace—sacrifice them and the Universe would be restored!

But that trampled cosmic law.

He and The Watcher became enemies.

As for Star-Lord T'Challa, the child T'Challa was taken by Yondu's fleet and raised as Ego's son, turned into a space rogue—yet his inborn sense of justice let him talk Thanosout of the Snap, converting the Mad Titan into a good man.

Party Thor, a youthful, energetic Thor variant who loves parties—though every Planet he celebrates ends up trashed.

Captain Carter, who replaced Steve Rogers and received the super-soldier serum.

Killmonger, the villain who successfully seized the throne!

And Gamora in golden armor, who met Tony Stark on Sakaar and used the Grandmaster's artifact to slay the Mad Titan.

She wields the Infinity Crusher that can shatter Infinity Stones... "Hello, my friend!"

Party Thor offered a handshake.

"You can call me T'Challa."

Star-Lord smiled.

"Does your World have a Steve Rogers?"

Captain Carter puffed out her chest.

"Why so quiet? Is he mute?"

Gamora frowned.

"I simply think none of you are qualified to fight beside me. To deal with Ultron Infinite? I alone am enough."

Linn remained calm.

He wasn't mocking; he stated fact. He knew the plot—even the Multiverse Guard, strong as they were, gained no advantage against Ultron Infinite.

In the end it was Dr. Zola who seized Ultron's body!

Thus Dr. Zola was the key; the rest were not.

He himself didn't even need Zola—he possessed a magicartifact that surpassed the Infinity Stones.

"What did you say?"

"Even if you're Sorcerer Supreme, you're no different from me—yet you claim you can solo Ultron Infinite?"

"Ultron holds six Infinity Stones—how many do you have?"

Dark Strange's eyes glowed eerily.

He had his pride.

Even the other recruited heroes clenched their weapons, unwilling to back down.

They seemed ready to beat sense into Linn before fighting Ultron Infinite!

"Uatu."

"You have two choices: rely on this motley crew, or let me act alone."

Linn raised a finger.

He wasn't causing trouble—he had received an opportunity Mission!

[SS-Rank Opportunity Mission: Defeat Ultron Infinitealone and gain one million opportunity points.]

One million opportunity!

It thrilled him—enough to upgrade all Nineteen Talismans to intermediate rank!

The key condition: alone.

Therefore he had to persuade The Watcher to let him face Ultron Infinite solo and claim the million!

To fully upgrade the Nineteen Talismans!

"Uh."

"No quarrel, Linn. I trust your power and my own judgment; these heroes are no weaklings. Yet if you wish to fight Ultron Infinite alone—"

"—I'll give you the chance."

The Watcher pondered; his logic was simple: if Linn won, perfect;

if he lost, the Multiverse Guard could step in.

Either way The Watcher lost nothing!

Besides, he had seen Linn's power—fire qi rivaling the Eternal Flame, incinerating a clone of Knull!

As a Watcher he knew Knull's titles: Living Abyss, God of the Void, Black-Clothed Emperor!

A nemesis of gods!

Even Celestial Supreme Arishem dared not face Knull with his sword—too risky.

"Then it's settled."

Linn nodded.

He pushed open the tavern door and stepped onto a wasteland World.

Ultron Infinite had launched nuclear missiles, nearly wiping out all civilization and exterminating humanity—save for Black Widow.

Chapter 149: Ultron Infinite Steals the Base!

[You have won the Super War and obtained Temporal Invisibility Force.]

[You have defeated the Nall Incarnation and obtained the abyssal rune.]

Linn showed delight in his eyes.

Temporal Invisibility Force! abyssal rune!

He could clearly feel that he could freely control time, and this was not reliant on the Stones.

Rather, it was his own inherent ability!

Relying on the Temporal Invisibility Force, he could perform Time Jumps, appear at any point in time, accelerate the flow of time, and pause the movement of time!

"And this abyssal rune..."

Linn examined it closely.

A twisted rune emerged from his palm, shining black, giving off a dangerous aura that was chilling, cold, and rough.

[abyssal rune (Basic): You will be able to enter and exit the Abyss and draw magical power from the Abyss Dimension.]

"Draw magical power from the Abyss Dimension? It seems there are hidden benefits; my control over the black death sword is also much smoother."

Linn grasped the black death sword.

Instantly.

The black death sword turned into a liquid, forming a fibrous net that covered his body, creating a Void Cloak, completely recognizing him as its master!

Even if Nall wanted to seize it, he would first have to defeat him and erase his Soul Seal.

"This Linn... is he from the Abyss?"

"Can he really defeat Ultron Infinite alone? I don't think so. I think he's bound to fail! He's simply an idiot!"

"With six Infinity Stones, he's nearly omniscient and omnipotent. Where does he get his courage?"

The Infinite Tavern.

The Multiverse Guard, Leopard Lord, Killmonger, Captain Carter, Party Thor, and Dark Strange stared at the Image Projection.

They saw the Wasteland World.

Linn's figure appeared before them.

However, the Superheroes showed disdain, their hearts filled with contempt for Linn's reckless actions.

Even The Watcher Uatu was unable to single-handedly take on Ultron Infinite. What qualifications or ability did this strange Sorcerer Supreme possess?

"Wait and see."

"If Linn fails, then the Multiverse Guard will rely on you."

The Watcher's gaze was complicated.

Although he had witnessed Linn's ability, he had also encountered Ultron Infinite!

This ruthless Ultron Infinite, whose consciousness was uploaded into a Vibranium body and who possessed six Infinity Stones, had nearly shattered multiple Universes when they clashed!

He truly did not believe Linn could surely defeat Ultron Infinite.

In fact, the probability of Linn failing was greater!

"Are you chirping about me behind my back?"

Linn raised his gaze.

He sensed the probing aura, a slight smile played on the corner of his mouth, and he also released an energy fluctuation to lure Ultron Infinite over!

As long as he defeated Ultron Infinite, he could obtain a Million Opportunities, acquire six Infinity Stones, and gain the ability to travel through Time and Space—there were only benefits, no drawbacks.

*Buzz!*

A wave of spatial fluctuation swept over.

They saw a Wormhole Vortex appear in the sky.

Inside the vortex.

Ultron Infinite, clad in armor and holding a Cavalry Spear, stood tall above the firmament, his scarlet cloak fluttering behind him, red light spilling from his eyes.

He looked down condescendingly, his expression revealing cold severity. He clearly treated Linn as an ant; his basic attack was an ultimate move. The Infinity Stonesroared in resonance, and in the blink of an eye, he launched a Light Blast!

"Hmm?"

Ultron Infinite frowned.

The dazzling Light Blast was like a weapon of mass destruction. The Impact ripples shattered buildings, and the scorching high temperature spread, melting the earth into magma.

But he clearly detected Linn's life signal, and it had not vanished!

"Infinity Stones from different timelines have different strengths."

"There's actually such a saying?"

Linn's pupils contracted slightly.

He stood in the magma completely unharmed. The combination of the horse and dog talismans meant immortality and invincibility, granting immunity to all forms of attack damage.

The backlash caused by the snap was also perfectly healed. The black death sword merging with him led to Genetic Metamorphosis!

The black death sword.

It is the ancestor of the Symbiote!

It possesses self-awareness, can evolve infinitely, feeds on souls to power the black death sword, and constantly slaughters and evolves!

The souls of the Gods beheaded by Nall were wailing inside the black death sword. Now that he controlled the abyssal rune, he could fully command the black death sword and draw upon the Power of the Gods!

The x-factor within him could also absorb energy, store it in his cells, and grant him ultimate sublimation!

"Who are you?"

"Why are you here? I should have already eliminated all life. You possess the Temporal Invisibility Force—are you from another timeline?"

Ultron Infinite's gaze was sinister.

The moment his consciousness was born, he harbored extreme hatred for Sentient Life.

Only by destroying all Universes, leaving nothing alive, could he find inner peace!

"That's right, I'm from the Westview Universe. You probably haven't heard of it. The reason I'm here is by The Watcher's invitation, and I will defeat you."

Linn smiled slightly.

Immediately, the liquid substance spread, taking the form of the black death sword. A ghostly light flowed across the blade, and Abyssal Power poured out.

It nearly shook this Wasteland Planet!

It also caused Natasha, the sole survivor hidden in the shadows, to flash a look of astonishment in her beautiful eyes.

"Westview Universe?"

"What kind of place is that?"

"But, he's going to defeat Ultron Infinite? I find that a bit unreliable."

Black Widow showed doubt.

After all, Ultron Infinite had annihilated the Avengers, and he could summon an Ultron Army in a second. Hawkeye had perished in the sea of fire to cover her retreat!

She had successfully obtained the hard drive containing Dr. Zola's program. Only Dr. Zola could eliminate Ultron.

"I will go to the Westview Universe."

"I will destroy everything you have. Although I don't know your name, I know your home Universe, and that is enough."

Ultron Infinite's face was ferocious.

Immediately, with a wave of his hand, dense Mechanical Soldiers were materialized by the Infinite Power and appeared in the Wasteland World.

They were all similar in design to Ultron. Relying on the six Infinity Stones, Ultron was virtually omnipotent!

Furthermore, a Whirlpool Gate opened in the air.

Ultron Infinite's eyes flashed with a savage look.

This Whirlpool Gate led directly to the Westview Universe. He planned to destroy the Westview Universeand make Linn feel what true despair was!

"What's going on?"

"Ultron? He came back from the dead? Wasn't he eliminated?"

"Wait! The things on his chest, are those the Infinity Stones?"

"Ultron, possessing six Infinity Stones! How could he appear in the Westview Universe?"

A sound of panic and confusion came through.

Avalon.

The Superheroes stared at the screen, seeing Ultron Infinite's figure crossing over from the Wasteland World, the space around him riddled with cracks.

The endless Ultron Army also immediately charged toward Avalon, causing the Superheroes to collectively lose their composure.

"Tony?"

"Did you do this?"

Captain America Steve was rarely seen this angry.

However, Tony Stark shook his head violently. "How could I! The Collision Event just ended. I settled the Apocalypse Residents. Where would I find the time to create Ultron?"

"There's absolutely no need for that either!"

Tony cried out that he was wronged.

Until Linn's figure also flashed into existence.

"This is an Ultron from the Wasteland World. He annihilated the Avengers and obtained six Infinity Stones. Knowing I came from the Westview Universe, he appeared in this timeline."

"Infinity Stones from different Universes have different strengths."

"Evidently, the Infinity Stones from the Wasteland Worldpossess incredible abilities."

Linn's eyes showed depth.

It seemed he had underestimated Ultron Infinite. Ultron Infinite's act of stealing the base also made him feel a subtle anger.

After all, the Westview Universe was still unstable. If a Universal War broke out, the overflowing energy from the Infinity Stones would bring catastrophic disaster.

Causing the Westview Universe to undergo another Version Update.

"Tony, although you are not the Tony of my World, you have always been a trouble."

"I will send you to hell. This will be my mercy."

Ultron Infinite raised his Cavalry Spear, a ferocious look on his face, and slowly glided toward Avalon.

He swung the spear!

A brilliant, pillar-like Energy Beam hit Tony in the blink of an eye!

It nearly submerged the Continent of Avalon!

Everything was collapsing, decaying, and being obliterated!
