Chapter 61: Office Expansion, War Machine Rhodes?

However, first, he needed to have enough Super Hero employees.

A glint of ambition flashed in Steve's eyes as he looked up at Tony.

"Tony, now that our association's location and publicity are in place, I think it's time for us to expand our membership."

"Indeed, we still have too few people now…" Tony nodded at the words, stroking his chin as he pondered the candidates.

Steve himself, plus Tony, Bucky, and Deadpool, the Avengers Agency currently only had four members in total.

Given the popularity of their publicity, the number of super-human commissions for their association would undoubtedly be countless. If only the four of them were to do it, they would have no time for anything else every day; they might as well just do missions 24/7.

This was clearly something neither Steve nor Tony could accept.

Steve was someone who valued work-life balance; work was work, and life should be enjoyed.

He would not treat work as enjoyment; he was not a masochistic corporate drone.

Tony, moreover, needed to spend a lot of time researching new Mark suits; he didn't have that much time to fight super-criminals every day.

So, after careful consideration, Steve decided to implement an eight-hour workday system at the association, where each member would have a fixed eight hours for taking missions and working.

However, considering that super-criminals could appear at any time.

Therefore, Steve planned to set up a 24-hour, three-shift hero work system on this basis: day shift, night shift, and overnight shift.

Super Heroes who joined the association under this system would not only have their own leisure time every day but could also accommodate certain 'alternative' Super Heroes who could only appear during specific time periods.

For example, a Super Hero who still needed to attend school during the day, or those Super Heroes who still had a main job during the day…

For example…

Tony and Steve exchanged glances, raised an index finger, and said in unison, "Hey, I happen to have a candidate for a member."

Steve's expression was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected Tony to also have a candidate, and he wondered if Tony was thinking of the same person as him.

Because the first person he thought of was definitely the chosen worker, Little Spider Peter Parker.

Whether it was in terms of integrity and kindness, enthusiasm for fighting crime, or strength, Little Spider could be said to be the most suitable and excellent candidate to be an Avenger!

However, the Little Spider in this Universe was the Amazing Spider-Man, so logically, Tony shouldn't know him yet, much less become Spider-Man's 'godfather'.

Seeing Steve looking at him without speaking, Tony didn't keep him in suspense and directly stated the person he had in mind.

"The person I'm preparing to bring into the Avengers is 'James Rhodes'; he's one of the few friends I can trust to join the association."

"Colonel Rhodes?" Steve raised an eyebrow at the words.

Isn't that War Machine, one of Marvel's chatterboxes?

However, due to his interference, Tony had replaced the first-generation Arc Reactor, which would cause palladium poisoning, in advance, and even healed the hole in his chest.

Now that Tony had no intention of giving up on himself, was he still planning to give Rhodes a set of Iron Mark armor?

Seemingly sensing the doubt in Steve's mind, Tony nodded:

"That's right, it's Rhodes. Although he's just an ordinary person now, I plan to modify the old Mark III and give it to Rhodes. As an Air Force Colonel, I believe he'll quickly become proficient in controlling the Iron Mark armor."

Steve nodded in understanding but still reminded him, "Whatever you want, but remember to put a good lock on the Mark armor you give Rhodes, preferably one that will self-destruct if anyone else uses it besides Rhodes."

"Although I am Captain America, I am well aware of America's nature. I don't want those high-ranking officials, who are no better than HYDRA, to get their hands on the Iron Mark armor and use it as capital to conquer the World…"

Tony agreed deeply with the words and nodded, "Don't worry, I would do that even if you didn't say anything. I'm giving a set of Iron Mark armor to Rhodes, firstly because our Avengers Agency is indeed short on people."

"Secondly, it's actually to stabilize the U.S. officials. Our association, composed of super-humans, will probably face endless trouble if we don't give them some tangible benefits."

"However, while I won't truly make the Mark armor self-destruct, I will set up double insurance on the key technical parts and the Arc Reactor."

"As long as someone disassembles the Iron Mark armor without my authorization, or tries to remove the Arc Reactor, the Iron Mark armor will be directly locked down and remotely taken over by Jarvis, then brought back to Avengers Tower."

Listening to Tony's methodical arrangements, Steve patted his shoulder with satisfaction: "You've really grown up, big nephew~"

Tony froze, then slapped Steve's hand off his shoulder and kicked his perky butt.

"You're taking advantage of me again, and twice at that! So you're my dad and my uncle, huh? Get lost, Steve!"

Steve twisted his lithe waist, easily dodging Tony's flying kick, and waved at Tony as he walked out.

"I know you're in a hurry, but don't be, because being in a hurry won't help~"

Tony watched Steve walk out and quickly asked:

"Hey, where are you going?"

Steve's waving hand smoothly turned into a middle finger.

"To hold an idol handshake and autograph session with those fat otaku you arranged!"

"Wait! You haven't told me your candidate yet!"

"You'll know when I bring him; you'll definitely be more satisfied with him than with your own son~"

Tony was utterly bewildered as Steve walked out without looking back.

The subsequent Stark Expo proceeded normally; there was no evil bald man backstabbing Tony, nor was there a Mark armor losing control and bombing the entire venue.

There was only Steve, repeating the actions of taking photos and signing autographs, taking photos and signing autographs, with a stiff smile.

Looking at the endless queue of people waiting for his autograph and photo, Steve wished at that moment that it was all just a nightmare.

"Motherfucker! It's all because of that damn Tony Stark!"

With a roar, Steve abruptly sat up from the five-meter-wide luxurious bed in Fisk Tower.

Huh? Was it really a dream?

No!

Steve recalled that it wasn't a dream; he had really been continuously photographed and signed by thousands of people all night, and this was already the second day!

This was a truly nightmarish experience, comparable to a hundred-man killing spree in an island nation!

Steve shivered; he would rather fight Thanos all day than experience that terrifying feeling again!

"What's wrong, Steve?"

Sharon's concerned voice came from outside the door, and then the door opened, and Sharon walked in, carrying soy milk and fried dough sticks.

"Nothing, just had a nightmare…" Steve shook his head, got up to wash in the en-suite bathroom, and then came to the room's balcony to leisurely eat soy milk and fried dough sticks with Sharon.

Yesterday's nightmarish experience had made Steve's mouth uncharacteristically quiet.

It wasn't until he finished eating, nourished by the taste of his hometown food and Sharon's gentleness, that his dazed spirit finally recovered.

Chapter 62 Something is Wrong with Peter Parker

In his previous life, he only thought that cosplaying at a comic con was an easy way to make money. Now that he has become a Zhenren (Immortal) cosplayer in this life, he realizes how difficult cosplaying truly is.....

What's the difference between cosplaying for money, having to face those junior students who call her 'Mom' with a fake smile, and him having to shake hands and take photos with those hypocritical businessmen and politicians for profit.....

Captain America, it's not easy either.....

After a moment of tenderness with Sharon, it was time to get down to business.

Steve put the Symbiote stored in the secret room into a sealed box, had Sharon deliver it to Tony, and then left Fisk Tower for Queens.

Today, he was going to recruit the fifth member of the Avengers Agency, Peter Parker!

Soon, Steve, dressed in a casual leather jacket and a baseball cap covering half his face, arrived at an ordinary residential house in Queens.

In the flowerbed in front of the door, a kind-looking old woman was watering the blooming flowers.

In the garage next to her, an old man with glasses was sweating profusely, tinkering with an old vintage car.

Although he hadn't met them before, Steve recognized the two at a glance.

Ben Parker and May Parker.

Peter Parker's aunt and uncle, and two of the most important people in his life, who gave him countless help and meaning on his path to growth, truly great ordinary people.

Even an uncultured person like Steve had to admire them.

The fact that Peter Parker could become the beloved Spider-Man later on was inextricably linked to the excellent education they provided him since childhood.

People in both the DC World and the Marvel World should bow down to the Kent couple and the Parker couple, and be thankful they didn't raise two Homelander!

"Maybe it's not the engine; it could be the aging wiring of the vehicle~"

Ben Parker, who was busy, suddenly felt someone standing beside him, nonchalantly disassembling his steering wheel to check the wiring inside the dashboard.

Ben Parker wasn't angry about the newcomer's presumptuousness; he just asked, somewhat puzzled, "Young man, who are You?"

Steve lifted the baseball cap that covered the upper half of his face, extended his hand to Ben Parker, and smiled:

"Steve Rogers, I'm a friend of your nephew, Peter~"

"You... You... You are Stev..."

Ben Parker stared at Steve with wide eyes, his neck flushed with excitement, unable to utter a complete sentence.

At this moment, May Parker also noticed her husband's abnormality, walked over with the watering can, and saw Steve's full appearance.

As the spiritual symbol of America, Captain America was no different from seeing God for old White people like the Parkers; the excitement in their hearts was imaginable.

Steve put his index finger to his lips, winked at them, and motioned for them to calm down.

Unexpectedly, compared to the seemingly mature and steady Ben Parker, May Parker was the first to calm down, holding her husband's hand to help him settle.

"Ben, You need to calm down. You don't want to make a fool of yourself in front of your idol, CaptainRogers, do You?"

Upon hearing this, Ben Parker shivered and immediately calmed down.

That's right, he couldn't let his idol laugh at him. This was the embodiment of justice in the U.S., his role model!

Calmed down, Ben Parker patted his head and suddenly realized:

"I think I know why Captain You've come. Yesterday, I heard on the news that You established a superhuman association. You must be here today because of Peter's unusual behavior these past few days!"

"Hmm." Steve first nodded, then realized something was off in Ben Parker's words: "Hmm?"

"Unusual behavior? How unusual?"

If it were anyone else, the Parkers would never reveal their nephew's secret, but this person was Captain America, the only one they trusted not to harm them or Peter.

The two invited Steve into the house, brewed him tea, and brought out cookies May Parker had baked herself. After completing the courtesies, they began to tell their story.

It turned out that a month ago, when Peter had just gained his Spider-Man abilities, the Parkers had already noticed their nephew's abnormality.

However, neither of them brought it up; they just quietly dealt with small things like broken doorknobs and faucets that Peter had accidentally damaged.

Peter thought he was hiding it well, but how could the Parkers, who had watched him grow up since childhood, not notice their nephew's unusual behavior....

But these weren't the most important things. The couple initially saw Peter's changes as positive, so they continued their peaceful life and didn't expose Peter's little secret.

However, recently, Peter was captured by a dark blue monster while saving Ben Parker, and after he returned, everything became abnormal.

Before, Peter only had physical changes, and his personality, apart from being more confident, was still that of a kind, good kid.

But after that incident, Peter seemed to have undergone some different psychological changes.

Not only did he beat up the school bully Flash at school, but he also bought a half-price suit!

That was a suit!

When did Peter, a science nerd who had always dressed like a shut-in, become interested in something like a suit?!

And Peter, wearing a suit, actually brought a girl home to them for the first time the next day.

The couple knew the girl; Peter had even secretly used her photo as his wallpaper.

Ben Parker remembered the girl's name was Gwen Stacy...

After listening to Ben Parker's account, Steve was both amused and exasperated.

My goodness, it's not bully Maguire, but bully Garfield....

This kid Peter is clearly tangled up with a Symbiote again~

Hopefully, this time Peter won't want to throw dirt in people's eyes~

Steve shook his head, clearing his mind of strange thoughts, and understood what was generally going on.

It seems that the last time on the rooftop, when he took Deadpool away and blew up Deadpool's arm, the Symbiote tissue scattered on the ground took the opportunity to attach itself to Peter.

This made Steve sigh, wondering if this kid Peter was lucky or unlucky.

Although Symbiotes are difficult to kill, it's not that easy to produce offspring.

It's not that any small piece of tissue can split into a new Symbiote; it's just that there's a probability, but that probability is extremely low.

Moreover, the Symbiote on Deadpool at the time was just a minor Symbiote named 'Chaos.' Stevedidn't pay any attention to it at all and never thought it could reproduce.

He never expected that even tiny fragments from such a minor Symbiote could give birth to a new Symbiote on Peter.

Is Peter Spider-Man, or the God of Symbiotes.....

Chapter 63 Gwen Stacy

Steve rubbed his brow, looked up at the Parker couple, whose faces were full of worry, and explained comfortingly:

"You're right, Peter has indeed undergone some superhuman changes, but don't worry, these changes are all benign."

"As for Peter's personality change, it's actually not a big problem. You know, teenagers like Peter, after gaining power, it's inevitable they'll get a bit conceited. So, a slight change in personality is quite normal."

"Don't worry, I'll 'guide' Peter properly for you. He'll soon return to being your good nephew, Little Peter Parker~"

Hearing Steve's assurance, the Parker couple sighed in relief, quickly stood up, and thanked Steve.

"Hearing you say that, we're much more relieved. Thank you very much, Captain Rogers!"

After finishing their verbal thanks, Ben Parker rubbed his hands a little awkwardly and asked:

"I know the Avengers Agency you run operates on a commission basis. I'd like to ask how much it would cost for you to help bring Peter back to the right path?"

"Please don't misunderstand, I don't mean anything else. I personally think your model is very good. A Super Hero like you, who risks their life to save ordinary people like us, deserves this small reward!"

"It's just that our family isn't too wealthy. If the fee is too high, I might need some time to pay you the commission. I need time to figure something out."

Listen, listen, what a considerate person!

If everyone could be like Ben Parker, not only remaining kind themselves but also putting themselves in others' shoes, then this World would probably have been at peace long ago.

Then... he and Tony would be unemployed~

Just kidding~ (Not kidding •︠ˍ•︡ )

In short, Steve actually admired people like the Parker couple, who were kind yet not rigid.

Picking up a cookie from the plate on the table, Steve smiled:

"The cookies are delicious. Let this be the commission. This deliciousness is more than enough to cover the payment~"

Hearing this, the Parker couple were so stunned they couldn't speak. After a long moment, they reacted and couldn't help but feel even more respect for Steve.

May Parker exclaimed, "Thank you, Captain, you are even greater than what history books say!"

Compared to the unreachable act of saving the World, a hero's greatness is often better reflected in trivial matters.

And Steve Rogers was just such a great person. (Probably~)

Ben Parker, however, seemed a bit hesitant and said, "But wouldn't this break the rules? If I set this precedent, would it negatively affect the Captain's association in the future...?"

Ben was merely kind, not a saint. On the contrary, he understood human nature very well, especially in this country built upon bones, where human nature could not withstand scrutiny.

Sometimes, being too kind only harms oneself.

Steve patted Ben, who was worried for him, forcibly suppressed a sinister smile like Homelander's from forming at the corner of his mouth, and comforted him:

"Don't worry, Ben, I'm not a rigid person. For honest and kind citizens like you and Mei, I will return kindness."

"But when facing those with malicious intentions and unreasonable people, I also know a bit of boxing. I will make them understand that I set the rules, and whatever I say the rules are, that's what they are!"

Hearing this, the Parker couple not only didn't find Steve too overbearing, but instead felt that Steve's image, which had seemed unreal like a god, began to become substantial and flesh-and-blood.

As expected of Captain America, both impressive and capable, truly a good role model for our America!

Under the admiring gazes of the Parker couple, Steve, after asking about Peter's current school attendance, stood up, bid farewell, and left.

This mission concerning Peter was the second system mission he accepted after his physique exceeded 30 points and he officially unlocked the second faction.

Oh, right, it seems some guy typing outside the Universe forgot to mention the enhancement points awarded by the system for dealing with Obadiah and Ivan Vanko.

This time, the enhancement point reward broke a new historical record, totaling a whopping 600 enhancement points!

It was 100 enhancement points more than the first mission to save Tony.

After adding the points, his physique soared from 26 to 32 points, his normal strength also reached nearly 300T, his ultimate strength approached 900T, his Biological Force Field was enhanced in all aspects, and his flight speed reached Mach 3.

Of course, the most important thing was the activation of the second faction, as 200T and 300T in terms of strength were almost the same, both represented by one word.

Invincible!

Getting back to the main topic, after the official establishment of the association, the first system mission was naturally Eddie's task of resolving the Life Foundation's troubles, but for now, Steve was not in a hurry to complete this mission.

Because after his physique was enhanced, his increasingly sensitive sixth sense told him that he probably wouldn't need to personally go to San Francisco; the mission target would soon obediently deliver itself to him.

He trusted his feelings very much, so after casually listing Eddie's mission on the association's official website, he decided to first recruit his chosen worker.

Oh, right, the official website was built by Tony and is maintained and protected daily by Jarvis, making it absolutely safer than any color website starting with FBI.

However, Steve didn't expect this recruitment to come with an unexpected surprise; the Parker couple had brought him another system mission.

Unlike Eddie's mission, which he had already casually listed on the association's official website's mission list, the mission about Peter, issued by the Parker couple, had not yet been posted by him on the Avengers' official website.

He planned to test whether he, as the owner of the association, could directly complete a system mission without listing it within the association.

If so, accepting missions would be much simpler for him in the future; he could just review the mission in his head, without relying on the rules of the real World!

With that thought, Steve eagerly got on the Harley motorcycle he had parked by the roadside and sped towards Peter's school.

But when Steve arrived at Peter's school, he found no one. Peter's classroom, where he should have been, was empty, and his seat was vacant.

Although Peter wasn't in the classroom, Steve noticed a vibrant, blonde girl sitting in the seat in front of Peter's.

Oh, Gwen Stacy~

Isn't this Little Spider's girlfriend?

With her, would he still be afraid of not finding that kid Peter?

After all, Peter, you wouldn't want anything to happen to Gwen, right?

Cough cough.....

With a target in mind, Steve simply leaned against the classroom wall, waiting for Gwen's class to end.

After an unknown amount of time, just as Steve was getting drowsy listening to the lecture inside the classroom, the wonderful dismissal bell finally rang.

The striking blonde girl, holding a book, finally walked out of the classroom.

Steve stepped forward, blocking Gwen's path, and showed a kind smile:

"Miss Gwen, may I have a word with you?"

Gwen frowned, cautiously took a step back, moving away from the man whose baseball cap only revealed half of a perfect chin.

"Who are you? I don't think I know you!"

Chapter 64 Venom Agent? The sound of a broken heart~

Steve raised his baseball cap again, then pulled it down, much to Gwen's surprise.

"I can't announce my name loudly here, or I'm afraid I'll become a gorilla in a zoo, surrounded by onlookers."

"But I believe I don't need to introduce myself further, after all, I just saw my photo and introduction on the wall of your school~"

"So, can we find a quiet place to talk now? It's about your little boyfriend, Peter Parker..."

Gwen was even more surprised to hear this and immediately realized that Peter's identity might have been known by Captain America, so she nodded.

"Yes, please follow me. The park behind the school is usually quiet and has few people."

Steve nodded, just about to follow Gwen to leave, when a roar came from behind them.

"Oi! Kid, you stop right there!!!"

A big guy with a bruised face, wearing a jersey, ran from the corridor and quickly stepped between Steve and Gwen, glaring at Steve:

"Bastard, were you harassing Gwen just now? Don't you know she already has a boyfriend?!"

Flash said, pushing his hands directly towards Steve's chest, intending to teach this ungrateful guy a lesson!

Facing an ordinary person like Flash, Steve didn't even bother to dodge, letting Flash's hands push hard against him.

With that push, Steve's body remained motionless, while Flash was instead shaken back two steps by Steve's steel-like physique.

"I know she has a boyfriend, but her boyfriend isn't You. The President isn't in a hurry, so why are You, the Vice President, in a hurry?"

Steve looked at Flash in front of him with interest. If he remembered correctly, this guy seemed to be Gwen's cousin.

In Marvel comics, this guy was even possessed by Venom and became Agent Venom.

Although Flash realized that he was no match for the man in front of him in terms of strength, he was too proud to admit defeat, and he stared at Steve with his neck stiff:

"You sneaky bastard, Gwen is certainly not my girlfriend, but she is my brother's girlfriend, and You cannot touch my brother's woman either!"

Your brother's girlfriend? Isn't Gwen's boyfriend Peter?

When did this school bully, who always looked down on Peter, start calling Peter his brother?

Gwen, who was beside them, finally couldn't take it anymore. She pushed Flash, who was blocking her, away, and her big eyes stared at Flash with seriousness:

"Flash, all You do all day is mess around. Are You very idle? Have You done your homework? Have You done your after-school reading? Can You pass the exam?"

"If You continue like this, don't even think about me tutoring You this semester. You can just wait for Aunt Mei to hit your butt hard with Uncle's leather shoes!"

Every time Gwen spoke, Steve, who was watching the show from the side, seemed to hear the sound of glass breaking in the air.

Listen, this is the beautiful sound of a broken heart~

"I..." Flash looked at Gwen in disbelief, pointing at Steve: "He..."

Gwen didn't want to hear him, and interrupted directly:

"Shut up, Flash! Disappear from my sight right now, or I'll go tell Aunt Mei!"

"Alright, alright! You wait! I'm going to tell Boss Parker about this!"

Flash's finger trembled with anger as he pointed at Gwen, then he uttered a harsh threat and ran away.

After Flash disappeared, Gwen led Steve out of the corridor and walked towards the park behind the school.

Once there was basically no one around, Steve finally couldn't help but ask, full of confusion:

"What was wrong with that guy just now? Why did he call Peter 'Boss Parker'?"

Gwen didn't answer immediately. Instead, she first bought two bottles of Water from the park's vending machine, handed one to Steve, sat on a park bench, sighed, and then explained with a helpless expression:

"That guy just now is Flash Thompson, my cousin. He's always been arrogant and overbearing at school, loves to save face, and always likes to tease and bully others everywhere."

"Peter was beaten by Flash because he refused to take photos of Flash embarrassing others and called him by his disliked given name, 'Eugene.' Later, Peter dunked on him on the basketball court, getting revenge for the previous beating."

"Losing face twice made Flash completely target Peter, constantly provoking and mocking him in front of Peter. The first few times were fine; Peter, who isn't combative, always gave in to Flash, and with my mediation, the two of them managed to get along peacefully."

"But just a few days ago, when Flash routinely came to provoke Peter, Peter no longer tolerated it at all. Before Flash could even utter a curse word starting with 'Mom,' Peter punched out two of his front teeth. After that, he held Flash down and gave him a 'fierce beating.' If I hadn't stopped him, Peterseemed to have even planned to sprinkle some dust in Flash's eyes..."

(Gwen the little cat sighed wearily ε=(´ο`*))) )

"Since then, I don't know if Flash awakened some masochistic talent, but not only did he not pursue the matter of Peter knocking out his two teeth with the school, his attitude towards Peter even did a complete 180-degree turn. He follows Peter around every day like an obedient little brother..."

After hearing the whole story, Steve's lips unconsciously curled downwards. Flash truly lived up to the image of a classic U.S. school bully, perfectly embodying his idea of bullies who pick on the weak and fear the strong.

Whoever has the bigger fist becomes the boss...

After saying all this, Gwen twirled the can she was holding with her slender fingers, her bright eyes fixed on Steve for a moment, then she asked:

"You came to the school to find Peter this time, so You must know his secret identity, and what has happened to him recently, right?"

Tsk tsk, Peter, You see, your'secret' that You thought was well-hidden, can actually be noticed by anyone who loves You.

Steve sighed inwardly and didn't hide anything from Gwen:

"That's right, one of the purposes of my visit to Peter this time is that Peter's aunt and uncle entrusted me to find out the reason for Peter's significant change in personality and to bring Peter back to the right path."

Gwen caught the hidden information in Steve's words, her eyes darted, and she asked:

"One of? What is the other purpose?"

Steve opened the can in his hand, took a large gulp of iced cola, then turned his head to look at Gwenwith a hint of a mysterious smile and said:

"The other purpose, clever Miss Stacey, You must have already guessed, haven't You?"

"You've already tentatively told me that Peter has a secret identity, so my other purpose is, of course, about his secret identity~"

Gwen stopped twirling the can in her hand upon hearing this, and her thoughts became clear.

"So You're here to find Peter, wanting him to join the Avengers Agency that You announced the formation of last night?"

Snap!

Steve snapped his fingers, greatly appreciating Gwen's intelligence.

"That's right, Miss Stacey's mind is very agile, indeed worthy of being the daughter of New York City's first Chief, Chief Stacey~"

Chapter 65 Pre-selected Personnel of Avengers Research Department

Gwen smiled faintly, humbly saying, "I just made some reasonable analyses based on the known information. It's nothing remarkable."

Intelligent, humble, and composed, Steve admired Gwen more and more.

Little Spider, you're so lucky to have met Gwen, a perfect girlfriend who won't hold you back or despise your poverty, instead of that bitch Mary Jane (referring only to the movie version) who loves everyone she sees and constantly causes trouble.

You must cherish her and 'hold onto her tight'~

The scene of Gwen's death in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 from his previous life flashed through his mind. Steve's rare conscience stirred, and he decided to change the tragic fate of this girl who had done nothing wrong from beginning to end.

And while he was at it, recruit another worker for himself.

"Gwen, are you interested in working part-time at the Avengers Agency?"

Gwen was waiting for Steve to ask about Peter, but she didn't expect Steve to bring up herself first.

"Me? But I'm not a super-human, nor do I have the extraordinary intelligence of Tony Stark."

Seeing that Gwen didn't directly refuse, Steve knew there was a chance and wagged his index finger at her:

"No, I think you've misunderstood something, Gwen. Although the Avengers Agency deals with super criminals, and all its combat members are super-powered individuals, that doesn't mean the Avengers Agency only has super-powered people. The Avengers Agency also has logistical personnel, and ordinary people can handle logistical roles."

"Actually, before you, last night I already recruited a brave ordinary reporter who isn't afraid of power to be our Avengers' 'war correspondent'~"

"With your intelligence, you can perfectly handle tactical analysis for the Avengers' logistics. And if I'm not mistaken, you're also an assistant to Dr. Connors at Oscorp, right? Your research abilities can also be utilized in the Avengers' Research Department."

Gwen became more and more interested as she listened, but when she heard the last sentence, she was a little confused:

"The Avengers have a Research Department? Who's in it?"

Steve choked, awkwardly clearing his throat, "Cough, if you join, then there will be a Research Department now. But don't worry, it definitely won't be just you. I'll also bring Tony into the Research Department to help, and we'll recruit more excellent researchers later."

Poor Tony, completely unaware that his duties at the Avengers Agency, in addition to being the Minister of Finance and a combatant, had another research duty added by his uncle~

But Steve swore, this time he really wasn't planning on just milking Tony.

He did have plans to establish an Avengers Research Department. As supernatural events become more frequent in the future, there will always be some special things worth studying.

For example, Extremis, Infinity Stones, alien technology, and creatures, etc...

These items or technologies, if researched and improved, could greatly increase Steve's power, so the establishment of a Research Department was essential.

As for the selection of Avengers researchers, he already had two candidates in mind.

The first candidate was Dr. Helen Cho, who researched nanotechnology in Korea.

Don't let the fact that this woman is from the tiny country of Korea fool you; in the future, she will create the Cradle of Life, which gave birth to Vision—a truly groundbreaking technology.

Even Tony's nanotech suit, which could later contend with Thanos, was inspired by Dr. Helen Cho's nanotechnology.

It would be a waste to let such a woman remain buried in Korea. He planned to call a high-ranking HYDRA official embedded in the U.S. military stationed in Korea after dealing with Little Spider's matter, asking him to 'invite' Dr. Helen Cho to work at his Avengers Agency.

The second candidate was Dr. Bruce Banner, who in the Marvel Universe, managed to stay alive and be featured on an academic wall, possessing seven doctorates.

This guy, like his numerous doctorates, basically knows a little bit of everything; he's an all-around genius.

Intellectually, he can design the Hulkbuster armor with Tony, research intelligent life forms like Ultron, create the Hulk serum, and even build Quantum Realm shuttles he's unfamiliar with, and so on.

In combat, he can transform into the Hulk, becoming the epitome of absolute power in the Marvel Universe, stopping a hundred-meter Leviathan warship with a single punch!

Now, with his own strength and the invincible Biological Force Field, he should be strong enough to deal with the Hulk. He plans to bring Banner, who is hiding in Brazil, back after a while.

His whereabouts have been constantly monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D., or rather, HYDRA.

It's just that HYDRA didn't have absolute confidence in taking down the Hulk, which is why they chose to bide their time.

At this point in time, these two are the only ones he can think of that he'd consider.

No, there should be one more, the genius girl from Wakanda, Princess Shuri.

However, those secluded, high-tech 'primitives' probably wouldn't let their princess join a modern social organization that they consider 'backward'.

Damn it, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got. Vibranium in the hands of those 'primitives' was simply a waste!

Steve decided to find an opportunity to arrange for someone to go missing in Wakanda, and then, using America's usual methods, enter Wakanda ostensibly to search for the person, but in reality, to forcefully seize the Vibranium!

Ahem, of course, these are the thoughts of the evil Captain Hydra, and have nothing to do with the current benevolent Captain America!

Back to the main topic.

Now, with the Research Department plus the infinitely potential Gwen, the Research Department has four people, which is enough for the early stages.

Seeing some hesitation on Gwen's face, Steve remained completely unperturbed and slowly said:

"There's one more crucial point: after joining the Avengers Agency, to some extent, you'll be able to fight alongside your little boyfriend~"

Gwen's beautiful big eyes widened, and she exclaimed for the first time, "I can fight alongside Peter?!"

Steve, with a triumphant smile, slowly nodded:

"That's right, Tony will make a small device for every Avenger member, similar to a body camera. It can monitor the Avengers' movements in real-time, making it easier for other Avengers members to provide timely support if they encounter an insurmountable danger~"

"As long as you join, then as one of us, you'll naturally be able to check on Peter's situation in real-time. You won't have to worry about him getting into danger as Spider-Man, or using his Spider-Man identity to flirt with other little girls~"

Steve's last sentence, "flirt with other little girls," was like the last straw that broke the camel's back, making Gwen feel as if she had already seen Peter kissing another beauty behind her back after a heroic rescue!

Gwen suddenly became resolute and extended her hand to Steve:

"Impossible! I will never allow such a thing to happen! Captain Rogers, please, you must let me join the Avengers Agency!"

Indeed, no woman can resist the temptation of monitoring her boyfriend. As a scumbag, Steveunderstood their psychology all too well.

However, I'm sorry, Little Peter~

I hope you don't end up like Tobey's Little Spider, kissing another woman while you have a girlfriend, otherwise you'll really be dead~

"Welcome aboard, Gwen."

A mischievous smile appeared on Steve's lips as he reached for Gwen's outstretched hand.

As soon as their hands met, a loud shout came.

"Oi! You bastard, let go of Gwen!!!"

Oh my God! Not again?!

A black line appeared on Steve's forehead. This was the second time he'd been 'oi-ed' today. Are all the people in this school sick?

Or is Gwen really that popular?

Steve turned his head and saw a young man in a black suit in the distance, running furiously towards him at a speed that would make Bor envious.

"Failure man! Failure man!"

A strong, vigorous music suddenly played in Steve's mind, and the image of the Amazing Little Spider seemed to overlap with the bully Maguire from another Universe.

Chapter 66: The Violent Little Spider

Oh, isn't this the extraordinary Little Spider he's been looking for?

Gwen saw it was Peter and was about to speak up to stop him, but Steve suddenly pulled her hand, interrupting her words.

The next second, Peter, who had become a blur, arrived and kicked the sturdy park bench into pieces!

Bench -1

"Peter, what are You doing?!"

Gwen looked terrified; if Steve hadn't pulled her away, she would have been affected too, right?!

Missing his attack, Peter clearly had no intention of giving up, nor did he heed Gwen's calls, continuing to fiercely attack Steve.

This familiar scene piqued Steve's interest.

He pushed Gwen dozens of meters away with a Biological Force Field and began exchanging blows with Little Spider.

"Your speed is enough, but your flexibility is a bit lacking~"

"Your strength is enough, but your reaction time is a bit lacking~"

Steve commented on Peter while blocking his attacks.

His speed had doubled, and his strength had also doubled. The Symbiote's amplification was indeed not to be underestimated; even in a state of incomplete possession, the increase was already so significant.

However, perhaps because Peter was too emotional, his flexibility and reaction time didn't increase; in fact, he felt less agile than the last time.

It seems Mr. Lu Xun was right: when You have Super Strength, You no longer need a Super Brain~

Peter was in exactly that state~

Hearing the familiar comments from Steve, Peter realized he was Captain America, but the inexplicable anger in his heart not only didn't decrease but grew even stronger!

Blue veins bulged on Peter's neck and face, as if something was about to burst out of his body.

Steve immediately saw that Peter was about to enter the second stage, the Symbiote's full possession stage, and decided not to play around anymore.

No longer suppressing his strength, he grabbed Peter's face with a hand covered in a Biological Force Field, lifting him into the air.

Before Peter in his hand could struggle, Steve's Biological Force Field instantly spread throughout Peter's body, beginning to vibrate at a high frequency.

In Gwen's terrified eyes, Peter's face began to contort, and a hideous blue monster face seemed to emerge on its surface.

As Steve continuously used the Biological Force Field to simulate the high-frequency sound waves that the Symbiote feared, the Symbiote within Peter finally couldn't bear it and forcibly detached itself from Peter's body!

Steve grabbed the detached Symbiote, instantly refining it... ahem, no, he trapped it with a Biological Force Field.

Don't ask why a Biological Force Field can simulate high-frequency sound waves; just know it's a power of idealism, kid!

After the Symbiote detached, Steve also released the now conscious Peter.

Gwen quickly stepped forward to support the weakened Peter.

Looking at the constantly struggling, highly aggressive, and unsettling Symbiote in his hand, Steveclicked his tongue:

"Tsk tsk~ It's a good thing this Symbiote possessed You, kid, otherwise, this Symbiote, mentally polluted by that Deadpool guy, who knows what consequences it would have caused~"

His Life Force Field could clearly feel that the Symbiote's thoughts were full of Chaos and slaughter, with no other consciousness.

One can only say, it's truly You, Deadpool; no matter what it is, as long as it's associated with You, it will inevitably be corrupted by your goddamn thoughts.

Even Professor X, the Marvel's Greatest Brain, couldn't handle the bald head explosion after invading Deadpool's mind.

Peter clutched his head, looking bewildered at Gwen, who was supporting him, and the tall man standing beside them.

"Gwen? And Captain America? Why are You here? And why am I here? Hiss~ My head hurts like it's going to split open..."

Gwen fed Peter Water, letting his head rest on her shoulder, and gently stroked his messy hair, comforting him:

"It's okay, Peter, Captain is here. He has already removed the 'thing' that was affecting You from your body. You'll be fine..."

Gwen said, looking worriedly at Steve: "Captain, Peter will be alright, right?"

Steve nodded, pulled out the chocolate he had prepared for Venom earlier from his pocket, and handed it to Peter: "Deep breaths, dizziness is normal. The Symbiote has absorbed too much phenethylamine from your brain these past few days. Eat some chocolate and You'll be fine."

It was only because the Symbiote possessed Little Spider; if an ordinary person were possessed by a chaotic, irrational Symbiote, they would have been sucked dry in a few days.

It was precisely because it possessed the kind Little Spider that, miraculously, no casualties were caused after so many days!

Of course, if the two knocked-out teeth of Flash don't count~

But even with Flash, Peter clearly held back; otherwise, not to mention in his Symbiote-possessed state, even in his normal state, Peter could have knocked Flash's brains out with one punch.

Peter took the chocolate and devoured it, his complexion visibly improving.

The three of them moved to another park bench and sat down. Steve asked:

"Peter, tell me, what exactly happened?"

Peter's incredible recovery allowed him to mostly recover, and he recalled and began to narrate.

Fast forward ×2

Leaving aside the plot we already know to avoid unnecessary repetition, essentially, after Peter was secretly possessed by the Symbiote on the day Deadpool was taken away,

The next day, he felt his strength become unprecedentedly powerful, and he seemed to be able to summon a dark blue Super Suit at any time that could greatly increase his strength a second time!

But along with that, his emotions also became irritable and volatile due to the continuous use of the suit!

Initially, Peter didn't take it seriously, because his personality also changed a bit when he first gained his spider abilities, becoming confident and inflated for a period.

But as time passed, Peter noticed something was wrong; not only had his emotions changed, but when he wore that strange suit, his body sometimes felt an uncontrollable, violent urge to destroy everything!

Realizing this, Peter wanted to take off the Symbiote suit, but no matter how much force he used, he couldn't take it off, as if the suit had grown into his flesh and merged with him!

With nowhere to turn, Peter sought help from Dr. Connors, a Biological Scientist and his father's former colleague, hoping he could help him analyze and research a solution.

Although Dr. Connors's Limb Regeneration experiment was in its final stages, he didn't refuse to help Peter because Peter had previously helped him perfect the regeneration algorithm.

However, while Peter and Dr. Connors were researching a piece of tissue torn from the Symbiote suit, Flash called him, saying that Gwen was cheating on him.

Then Peter momentarily lost his composure, lost consciousness, and when he regained consciousness, he was already in front of Gwen and Steve.

After listening to Peter's words, Gwen first caught a crucial piece of information.

"Wait! Peter, are You saying You lost control in Dr. Connors's lab? What happened to Dr. Connors?!"

Peter also realized something and stood up abruptly.

"Oh no, Dr. Connors!!!"

Steve, beside them, covered his face, feeling weary, thinking, it couldn't be such a coincidence, could it? The Symbiote tissue taken from Peter, it couldn't have possessed Dr. Connors, could it?

This wouldn't lead to another Lizardmen Symbiote, would it...?

Chapter 67 Lizard Empire Crisis!

As a few people worried, Dr. Connors indeed had an accident.

Let's go back to when Peter's mind was just controlled by the Symbiote.

Dr. Connors noticed Peter's abnormal state and was about to step forward to ask about his condition, but Peter backhanded him in the chest and sent him flying!

Although it was just a casual swing from Peter, the power contained in it almost sent Dr. Connors to meet God, breaking several of his ribs.

To survive, Dr. Connors, out of necessity, injected himself with the Lizard regeneration serum, which had not yet undergone human trials, and then mutated into the humanoid dinosaur we are all familiar with, the Lizardmen!

Moreover, Dr. Connors, after transforming into a Lizardmen, coincidentally shattered the container holding the Symbiote tissue with a single slap, allowing the Symbiote to take the opportunity to parasitize him.

Goodness, Dr. Connors, who was already affected by the Lizard serum and had developed a second evil personality, was now further influenced by the Symbiote's Chaos and Riot, losing complete self-control under the double blow.

Rationality, what do you want me to use to be rational!

Dr. Connors now had only one thing on his mind: fighting, awesome!!!

And Dr. Connors wasn't just having fun himself; he was bringing everyone along for the ride!

The Lizard personality, invaded by the Symbiote's chaotic thoughts, actually developed a Joker-like madness!

He manufactured the Lizard serum into Lizard smoke bombs, throwing them at anyone he saw. The entire Osborn Tower instantly devolved into utter Chaos, becoming a Lizardmen paradise!

Subsequently, hundreds of employees in Osborn Tower, who had been transformed into Lizardmen, began to continuously run out of the building, and the streets immediately turned into a great slaughter!

Screams and shrieks became the main theme here...

Thump——————

On top of a building not far from Osborn Tower, a tall, monstrous, silver-gray figure landed on the lightning rod.

The monstrous figure was very strange; half of its face was a normal human face, and the other half was a monstrous, sharp-toothed maw, like the silver-gray of its body.

The monstrous half of the face extended a tongue covered in urine, licking the air, and laughed excitedly:

"Oh~ is this New York, the city of sin in your human world? It's indeed full of Chaos and fear, truly delicious, I think I'm starting to like it here~"

When people are afraid, phenylethylamine is secreted at a high level, which makes these humans more palatable to the Symbiote that feeds on it.

This New York is simply a Symbiote's paradise, with self-serve brains full of phenylethylamine everywhere~

On the other side, Drake, with his normal face, frowned, feeling that things were not that simple.

"No, although New York has a high crime rate, and Hell's Kitchen is a dreadful place for crime GDP, it shouldn't be this chaotic in the city center!"

Drake, using his Symbiote-enhanced vision, magnified the scene of the distant chaotic center like an eagle's eyes.

Only then did he clearly see green humanoid Lizardmen continuously pouring out of Osborn Tower, spreading out and launching attacks, which was why it was so chaotic.

Drake sneered:

"Heh, isn't Norman Osborn almost terminally ill? Is he retaliating against society one last time before he dies?"

Drake's attention was on the crowd and the large number of Lizardmen minions, while the SymbioteRiot on the other side of his face noticed an existence that interested it even more.

On the top floor of Osborn Tower, a deep blue giant Lizardmen, over five meters tall, truly a humanoid dinosaur, was busy with something unknown.

Riot didn't care what it was busy with; it only cared that this guy actually had the aura of their Symbioterace, and it was a newborn!

Riot's gray-White long eyes flashed, and it reminded Drake: "Hey, buddy, look over there, I think we have clues to other partners~"

Drake looked over, and indeed, he also saw the Lizard King, Dr. Connors, on the rooftop.

He, who cared immensely about the Symbiote, recognized at a glance that Dr. Connors had a Symbioteon him.

Drake, who believed humans were too fragile and was determined to bring all one million-plus Symbiote on Planet Klyntar back to Earth to achieve global Symbiote 'ascension', instantly lost interest in the screaming crowd and Lizardmen below, and eagerly rushed with Riot to the top of Osborn Tower.

There are plenty of humans on Earth; as long as one million remain for the Symbiote to parasitize as hosts, he will lead these one million to achieve the evolution of all humanity!

Only humans chosen by the Symbiote to be hosts are qualified to evolve with him into new humans!

As for the rest, their life or death doesn't matter; even if they live, they can only become nourishment for the Symbiote and their hosts!

It can only be said that Drake's ideas were truly deranged, even more deranged than HYDRA's ideology!

HYDRA only wanted to become the new rulers of humanity, but Drake wanted to directly change humanity's rulers and treat billions of people as evolutionary sustenance!

HYDRA would even exclaim "anti-human!" if they knew!

Under the Symbiote's powerful leaping ability, Riot continuously leaped over several buildings, arrived at Osborn Tower, and then climbed up the building's glass with a'step by step' rustle.

However, Osborn Tower was already in Chaos, and no one noticed a large silver-gray rat outside the building dismantling their company's glass.

Soon, Riot took Drake with a large leap and landed on the rooftop of Osborn Tower.

Dr. Connors, who was modifying the Lizard serum and preparing to use Osborn's launch device to spread the serum throughout the city, turning it into a Lizard Empire, heard the commotion and vigilantly turned to look at Riot!

Without a word, he picked up a modified Lizard serum smoke bomb and threw it at Riot.

Bang——————

Green smoke exploded at Riot's feet, instantly enveloping Riot in the smoke.

But the scene Dr. Connors imagined, of the opponent being transformed into a Lizardmen subordinate, did not appear; the tall silver-gray figure merely casually fanned away the smoke in front of him and walked out of it.

"Big guy, don't rush to act, we mean no harm, we're here to talk about cooperation~"

"Cooperation regarding Chaos, destruction, and rebirth!"

Upon hearing this, a hint of human-like contemplation flashed in Dr. Connors's violent eyes.

Is it... a fellow kind?

Speaking of two sides.

Here, the Symbiote leader Riot and Lizard King Dr. Connors were discussing cooperation.

On the other side, Steve at school also received an emergency notification from Jarvis.

Taking out a translucent high-tech phone that Tony had given him from his pocket, Jarvis's voice, accompanied by a virtual video projection, was cast into the air from the phone.

The projection video showed scenes of Lizardmen continuously pouring into Osborn Tower...

Chapter 68 Great, it's Captain America, we are saved!

"Captain, urgent situation! Half an hour ago, a large-scale genetic mutation event occurred at Osborn Tower in downtown New York City. A large number of Osborn Tower staff mutated into Lizardmen, expanding and destroying at an alarming rate!"

"The New York Police Department, led by Chief Stacey, has urgently set up a blockade line, but these mutated Lizardmen have significantly increased muscle density and recovery ability. Ordinary firearms are having little effect, and they probably won't be able to hold out much longer!"

"Ten minutes ago, the Mayor sent a request for help to the Avengers Agency, hoping the Avengerscould help New York overcome this crisis. Due to the urgency of the situation, Mr. Stark has already accepted the Mayor's commission and led other Avengers members to provide support!"

Jarvis finished speaking, and before Steve could say anything, Gwen gasped.

"Chief Stacey's team? That's my dad!"

"God! Captain, please save my dad!"

Gwen was at a loss, instinctively turning to the seemingly reliable Steve for help.

The not-so-reliable Peter:.....

Steve didn't babble much, nodding and grabbing Peter by the back of his collar.

"Don't worry, Gwen, since You've joined the Avengers Agency, as a member of our big family, I promise your father will be fine."

"As for You, Little Spider, come with me to carry out your first mission as an Avenger!"

Amidst Peter's bewildered expression, Steve took him and flew off, Peter's confused howl still echoing in the air.

"What Avengers? When did I join~~~~"

However, Steve was clearly not in the mood to explain this to Peter. He dropped Peter near his home in Queens, telling Peter to quickly change into his suit and head to the city center for support, then returned to Fisk Tower in Hell's Kitchen to store the Symbiote in the secret room first.

Afterward, as Steve headed towards the city center, he casually asked Jarvis:

"How much is the commission for the Mayor's mission this time?"

"Ten million U.S. dollars, Captain."

"Damn it, is he trying to pay beggars? Tell the Mayor to multiply the commission by a hundred, or I'll throw the Lizardmen into his fat pig of an office!"

"Received, Captain. A warning has been issued to the Mayor!"

"Good job, Jarvis. After this mission, I'll put some electronic cigarettes in your server for You to smoke!"

"Sorry, Captain, I temporarily cannot understand what electronic cigarettes mean....."

"Don't worry, it's something absolutely amazing that will make You ecstatic!"

"Then I look forward to it, Captain!"

In the time they were talking, Steve had already arrived and hovered over the city center.

In just half an hour, the Lizardmen disaster had spread to several streets around Osborn Tower.

If Chief Stacey hadn't led his people to intercept them in time, the affected area would probably have been even larger.

But even so, several important buildings in the city center, including Stark Tower, had been affected.

Tony, that guy, was wearing his Iron Man armor outside Stark Tower, constantly repelling one Lizardman after another.

That guy took the Mayor's money and actually went to protect his own property first!

It's simply..... well done!

Not only Tony, Steve also saw several other familiar figures saving people on other streets.

First was Bucky, the Angel. He was covering a group of survivors retreating towards the police cordon, sending a Lizardman flying with an iron fist, making them screech.

But the Lizardmen were not weak. Even the mass-infected cannon fodder, whose strength was inferior to Dr. Connors's fully injected version, were overwhelming Bucky with their sheer numbers. He was almost bewildered by the endless Lizardmen.

It seems I need to find a way to enhance the combat power of my good buddy. Future disasters will only increase in intensity, not decrease. If Bucky remains this 'weak', he will eventually become a second-rate Super Hero minor character.

But how to strengthen Bucky is giving him a bit of a headache.....

Besides Bucky, another person saving people, or rather, simply enjoying the killing, was Deadpool.

This guy was not as gentle as Bucky. With the Symbiote attached, his strength was much greater than that of the Lizardmen cannon fodder. Two large blades, similar to A-Gor's sharp blade form, extended from his hands. With one slash, lucky Lizardmen only lost limbs, while unlucky ones were directly cut in half or even bisected!

Tsk, this Deadpool, his strength is sufficient with the Symbiote, but why is he so bloodthirsty?

These are all innocent civilians. How can I explain it to the higher-ups when You're killing them one by one?

What? I am the highest up here?

Then what's there to explain!

Later, I'll have Dr. Zola and Jarvis block the news, and we'll say externally that it was caused by the Lizardmen killing each other.

Besides Bucky and Deadpool, two familiar faces, Steve also saw a figure who was both familiar and unfamiliar on the battlefield.

That was Colonel Rhodes, wearing the black War Machine armor!

This dark-skinned guy was holding something like a stun baton, giving electric therapy to the Lizardmen. It seems that as a soldier, he still couldn't bring himself to kill the citizens who had turned into Lizardmen.

Not bad, Tony's actions aren't slower than mine. They just talked about recruiting new people yesterday, and today Tony has already brought Rhodes in.

Steve had no objections to this. Rhodes was one of the few people he didn't dislike.

Or rather, the black Super Heroes in early Marvel, except for Nick Fury, that idiot who went crazy later, everyone else was quite normal.

But even Nick Fury was more pleasing to the eye than the second-generation Iron Man, Ironheart, that fat woman...

The new generation of Avengers is purely a product of zzzzz...

After a leisurely scan of the battlefield, finding that except for the New York Police Department's defense line which was about to collapse, the other Avengers could temporarily cope, Steve pulled out the vibranium shield he had just taken from Fisk Tower and threw it violently!

Whoosh——————

A whooshing sound rang out. Chief Stacey, who was about to be pierced by a Lizardman that had broken through the police line, saw a red and blue shield embedded diagonally in front of him!

And the Lizardman that wanted to disembowel him froze as if a pause button had been pressed, and a second later, its legs were neatly severed!

Seeing the shield half-embedded in the ground, not only Chief Stacey, who had just been rescued, but also the other police officers became excited.

"Look, Captain America is here! Great, we're saved!"

Someone pointed to the sky and shouted, and all the police officers looked up in unison at the tall figure under the Sun.

As expected, Steve, like the embodiment of the Sun, descended from the sky, landing with a standard Super Hero pose in front of the police officers on the blockade line.

Boom——————————

The moment he landed, an invisible Biological Force Field surged forward like a wave, sending hundreds of charging Lizardmen flying.

Steve stood with his back to the fanatical police officers, revealing half of his sacred profile, a brilliant white grin on his face:

"Don't worry, children, I'm here. Retreat behind me, Captain America will protect You!"

Chapter 69 The People's Captain, New York Police Star!

Even Chief Stacey, known as the Star of New York and who disliked masked vigilantes the most, was filled with admiration for Captain America in his dark blue battle suit.

Pulling out the vibranium shield that had saved him, Chief Stacey returned the shield to Steve, saying gratefully,

"Thank You very much, Captain. If it weren't for You, I might have really died here today!"

He didn't dare to imagine what would happen to his wife, his daughter, and his two sons if he really died here!

Most likely, another man would be embracing his wife, a punk would be embracing his daughter, and his two sons would be calling someone else 'Dad'.

Thinking of this terrifying scene, Chief Stacey couldn't help but feel even more grateful to Steve for saving him.

Steve took the shield, patted Chief Stacey's sincere shoulder, and said boldly, "As Captain America, it's my duty to protect my 'teammates' who are U.S. Police. We're all brothers, so don't be so formal!"

Steve's familiarity and expletives not only didn't diminish his halo in the eyes of the Police Officers present but instead warmed their hearts, making them feel even more recognized by the man in front of them.

Captain America, the faith monument of America, actually said that we Police Officers are his 'teammates'. Wouldn't that be something to brag about for a lifetime?!

U.S. Police Officers, who have always been considered inferior to U.S. soldiers but whose work is far more dangerous, were so moved that they almost burst into tears.

He warms my heart, I could cry myself to death!

Chief Stacey also felt the same way and exclaimed,

"Captain Rogers, compared to those masked vigilantes who constantly claim to be righteous but strike at criminals regardless of the consequences, You, powerful and rational, are the true Hero, a role model for everyone in our entire America!"

Look at Captain America, so powerful, yet his actions are full of reason. He knows that superhumans should handle superhuman matters, and unless absolutely necessary, Captain will not casually interfere with Police work. When he does act, it's to save everyone, including their grassroots Police Officers, from the Fire and Water caused by superhumans!

This is the Super Hero all their Police Officers recognize!

Unlike those vigilantes who suddenly gain superpowers, doing nothing all day but stealing their Policework, catching insignificant petty thieves, and several times causing the Police to lose clues they had been tracking for months, ruining several Police plans targeting real crime bosses!

Those damned masked guys, the Police haven't issued a warrant for them, which already shows the Police's tolerance. Super Heroes? Those vigilantes are just a bunch of Super Clowns!

Don't look, I'm talking about You, you damn Spider-Man!

Steve felt the fervent gazes of the Police Officers on him, a slight smile playing on his lips. He turned, leaving them with a broad back.

Holding the shield, he walked step by step towards the Lizardmen who had been blasted away and were now rushing back like a tide. Finally, he raised his hand and waved to all the Police Officers:

"Everyone, a Hero is never a Hero because of their own strength. A Hero is a Hero because they have a heart to be a Hero!"

"And You, my Police Officer friends, You, like me, are Heroes who contribute your own strength to this country!"

"I'll handle the battlefield here, teammates. The millions of ordinary citizens behind me are entrusted to You!"

"I am with You!"

Steve's unyielding figure walked step by step into the green ocean, a tragic sense as if a Hero was leaving never to return.

Listening to Steve's echoing words in the air, the Police Officers felt that the sacred figure seemed to become more and more blurred, more and more unreal.

They touched the corners of their eyes and realized that it was tears that had blurred their vision, making the scene in front of them indistinct.

Chief Stacey wiped away his tears, drew his service pistol, and yelled from atop a Police car:

"Brothers, did You hear what Captain said? We are his teammates, his solid backing! Captain has entrusted millions of citizens behind him to us, can we let Captain down?!"

"No!!!"

"Very good! Then execute Captain's orders, notify all brothers in the New York Police Department to evacuate and rescue all citizens in the nearby blocks, and then we'll come back and fight alongside Captain!"

"Yes, Officer!"

"Go go go!!!"

Police Officers from all over New York, who had come to support, seemed to transform into Captain America's teammates, carrying out Captain's important mission of guarding millions of citizens, only to live up to Captain's trust in them!

At this moment, Steve's prestige among the New York Police Officers reached its peak. It was likely that with a single word from him, the entire New York Police force could be taken over by him!

Steve heard the shouts of the Police Officers behind him and knew immediately that he had gained another group of fanatical followers, a wicked smile of successful conspiracy appearing on his lips.

False infiltration: diligently working step by step to penetrate the enemy's high-level.

True infiltration: raising an arm, igniting the passion of countless grassroots, becoming the people's Captain!

HYDRA, HYDRA, when it comes to infiltration, You still need to learn from Captain me!

After moving away from the Police cordon and entering the Lizardmen's attack range, Steve's false mask was removed, and his sunny face became terrifying.

"A bunch of green bastards, the skin color I hate most in my life is disgusting green. Where do You think this is? India?!"

Drake on the rooftop:....

The Lizardmen couldn't understand what Steve was saying, only knowing that this bastard had just snatched their almost-caught prey.

Therefore, they all pounced on Steve, intending to tear him into ten thousand pieces, one Lizard at a time!

Facing the gaping maws of the Lizardmen pouncing from all directions, Steve sneered, his eyes, like a laser radar, locking onto the dozens of attacking Lizardmen. The next moment, his right arm swung out like a pile driver, leaving afterimages!

"Consecutive Normal Punches!"

In less than a second, Steve had thrown dozens of punches. The vertical pupils of the Lizardmenpouncing around him widened, they strangely paused in mid-air for a second, then dozens of blood blossoms exploded!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!...

Fatal Blow to the Balls! Fatal Blow to the Balls! Fatal Blow to the Balls!

Every one of Steve's punches was a 'headshot', recreating the grand scene of the Qing Dynasty's castration grounds on the streets of New York, the sharp screams making people tremble with fear!

Listen, the sound of no balls!

None of his punches were fatal, but for the Lizardmen, each punch was worse than fatal!

Steve's fists were protected by a Biological Force Field, not stained with a single drop of blood. He abruptly turned to look at the stunned Lizardmen who hadn't yet pounced, revealing a cruel smile.

"Now, roles reversed, it's my turn to be the ghost catching lizards, and You're the prey running!"

Even the Lizardmen, who had lost their minds and were left with only slaughter and rage, couldn't help but feel intense fear towards Steve after seeing their companions' fatal blows to the balls, which were worse than death.

One Lizardman instinctively took a step back out of fear, and this step instantly triggered a chain reaction. The hundreds of Lizardmen who had been surging towards Steve all fled frantically in all directions out of fear!

"Green men detected fleeing, clear the magazine! Oh, I don't have a magazine, but that's okay, here comes the little flying shield!"

Chapter 70 Here's Johnny!

Seeing the Lizardmen scatter and flee, Steve's face immediately lit up with excitement. He continuously threw his shield, and each time, it would undoubtedly cut a Lizardman in half at the waist!

Moreover, the shield would always bounce back into Steve's hand. If a third person were present, they would notice that the shield was like a bouncy ball; no matter what tricky angle Steve threw it from, as long as it hit an object, it would bounce back into his hand!

Of course, the shield wasn't effective in all terrains. For example, when Lizardmen fled into buildings, Steve's shield wasn't as useful.

Although he could perform miracles with great force, directly piercing through walls to hit targets, he would then have to retrieve the shield himself, which was too troublesome.

Furthermore, he didn't have X-ray vision, and his hearing could only roughly pinpoint the target's location. In such a noisy environment, throwing the shield wasn't 100% accurate.

From this battle (slaughter) with the Lizardmen, Steve also realized his shortcomings.

Although he was invincible in close combat and could use his shield for mid-range attacks, if his vision was obstructed and the distance was too far, it would be a bit tricky for him.

If only he had X-ray vision and long-range attack methods, then he would truly be an all-around five-sided warrior!

Don't ask why it's not a six-sided warrior; the answer is because he lacks quality, missing one side...

Steve sighed inwardly, then dismissed this unrealistic idea.

His ears twitched, locking onto the building with the most Lizardmen activity. He knocked on the door and walked in.

"Have all you goblins hidden well? Here's Johnny!"

Steve moved like a ghost, sometimes appearing suddenly in front of a Lizardman in the flickering lights, sometimes extending his hands from under the floor to grab a Lizardman's legs, and then sometimes following a Lizardman like a Shadow...

This day, Steve had a lot of fun, satisfying his lost youth!

Every time Steve caught a Lizardman, he threw it outside to pile up.

One, two, three... two hundred and fifty...

With Steve's terrifying speed of Mach 3, combined with his super-strong bat-like echolocation hearing, he was like a ghost, able to accurately catch every hidden Lizardman, even those breathing a little heavily!

This day was historically known as the Lizardmen Scare Day!

Although Steve didn't kill any Lizardmen, he merely blew off their lower bodies or cut them in half at the waist.

But regardless of whether any Lizardmen bled to death, they were all mentally tormented to the point of near collapse by Steve, lying motionless in pools of blood like neutered cats, with vacant eyes.

Whoosh—

With a sound of web, Little Spider made a grand entrance.

Little Spider, having changed into his suit, lightly landed in front of the small green mountain made of Lizardmen. Even through his mask, one could see his wide-open mouth:

"Oh My God, what happened here? Is this the set of Alien vs. Predator? Why is it so bloody and violent?!"

Steve, dragging a Lizardman without legs in one hand, skillfully tossed it onto the small mountain of Lizardmen, casually saying:

"No, it's The Shining set. They encountered an attack from Johnny, the Shield-wielder~"

Little Spider gasped, patting his chest: "Oh Lord, that's even worse than encountering a Predator...."

"But My Lord, didn't You go a bit too far? As Avengers, we should be friendly and kind, shouldn't we?"

Steve glanced at Peter, calmly saying: "Don't worry, I know my limits. With the Lizard serum's super regenerative ability, their recovery is only a matter of time. At worst, they'll spend the rest of their lives in bed."

"And kid, You need to understand, everything that's happened now is also connected to You. You said before, didn't You, that You helped Dr. Connors complete the Lizard serum formula, so You bear some responsibility for them turning out this way!"

"We're essentially cleaning up Your mess!"

Listening to Steve, Little Spider finally realized this, his face full of guilt: "I... I'm very sorry....."

"Only cowards say sorry. A hero must bravely face his mistakes. Now I'm giving You a task: go to Osborn Tower and create the Lizardmen antidote to atone for Your part in this!"

Little Spider's spirits lifted, and he immediately said: "Understood, Captain! I guarantee I'll complete the mission!"

"Oh, and after this, I want You to report to Avengers Tower. You, You kid who acts without considering the consequences, must be supervised by an adult from now on!"

Steve's face was serious, but inwardly he let out a sinister chuckle.

Hehehe, the cheap and useful Spider-Man must come work for Me!

"Yes.... Yes, Captain!"

Little Spider nervously glanced at the serious Steve, then quickened his pace and rushed into Osborn Tower.

There were only about five hundred employees at Osborn Tower who were infected and mutated into Lizardmen. After Steve arrived, he single-handedly dealt with half of them.

Tony and the others had almost entirely dealt with the remaining half and then converged in front of Steve.

"Steve!"

"Old Man!"

"Boss!"

"Captain!"

As each person arrived, the different forms of address allowed Steve to know who was who without even looking.

He nodded to his three acquaintances, Tony, and smiled at Rhodes.

"It's a pleasure to have You join the Avengers, Colonel Rhodes!" (Someone previously said Rhodes is currently a Lieutenant Colonel, so let's assume the Military promoted him a rank because Tony gave him the Iron Man armor.)

Rhodes's mask couldn't hide his excitement: "It's an honor for all of us soldiers to fight alongside You, Captain!"

Steve nodded without saying much, instead looking up at the top of Osborn Tower, where he could vaguely see two tall figures looking down at them.

Tony and the others followed his gaze and also saw those two imposing figures.

Deadpool's blue Symbiote stood up like bristling hairs. He tilted his head and looked at Steve:

"Boss, the Chaos inside me tells me that those two guys up there are very dangerous. One is a new Symbiote split from it, and the other is Riot, the leader of the Symbiote Planet Klyntar, known as the strongest Symbiote!"

"Riot, the strongest Symbiote? Interesting....."

Steve's eyes narrowed, seemingly having thought of a way to enhance Bucky.

As a master of weapons, Riot, who could still overpower Venom in the original plot even when his host was not as perfect and strong as Venom's, was undoubtedly the most suitable Symbiote for Bucky, who was also proficient in various killing techniques and weapons.

As for Riot's uncontrollable factor, it wasn't a big problem. When the Avengers Research Department was established, with the combined power of multiple Marvel geniuses, he didn't believe they couldn't erase Riot's self-awareness!

Even if it didn't work, it was fine. At worst, Bucky could wait two more years. After Thanos sent the Mind Stone to Earth via the second princess of Asgard, he could then use the power of the Mind Stoneto erase Riot's thoughts!

Moreover, Riot was probably currently parasitic on Drake of the Life Foundation, as expected. Dealing with him would also complete Eddie's system mission.

It was simply killing two birds with one stone!

Thinking of this, Steve's gaze towards Riot was already determined.

"Enough talk, today is our first battle after the Avengers assembled. Avengers, attack, get them!!!"
