Chapter 1920 - Ch: 155-164

Chapter 155: Lisha's Secret

"Lisha?"

Suddenly hearing someone call her name, Lisha was startled at first, but she relaxed after seeing who it was.

"Oh my god, Sean, why are you here?" Lisha tried to calm her racing heart and happily stepped forward to hug him.

Sean helped tidy her hair and said indifferently, "I got a new car and wanted to let you see it. What's wrong? Looking at your expression, it seems you aren't very happy to see me?"

"Ah, welcome! I welcome you anytime." Lisha hurriedly pressed against him to show how much she welcomed him.

"Hmph, then get in the car. I'm taking you to eat something good."

"Hehe, okay!"

Taking Lisha to a cruise ship restaurant, the warm and romantic atmosphere finally made her much happier, as if the worries in her heart had been blown away by the sea breeze.

Sean didn't ask much about Lisha's worries. Since she wasn't willing to talk about it, it certainly wasn't an unsolvable problem.

Besides, what kind of problems could Lisha have? Hess wouldn't make things difficult for her at work. At most, it was just a personal matter, wanting him to spend more time with her.

Recently, there were many people at home, so he hadn't visited her often, but it was only slightly less than Christine. After all, she was a target for Affection Points and was very beautiful, so Sean wouldn't neglect her too much.

Although he always met her at the company or at Nora's place, it seemed like it had really been a while since he'd been inside her home.

After dinner, Sean prepared to take her home as usual. If there were no accidents along the way, he would probably stay over at her place.

There weren't many cars at night, and the two of them were getting closer and closer to Lisha's home. At this moment, Sean also noticed that her heartbeat was getting louder and louder.

Traffic lights; after passing this intersection and turning a few dozen meters, they would be there.

The anxiety on Lisha's face could no longer be hidden, and she said in a somewhat hurried tone, "Sean! Let's, let's go to Nora's place. It'll be more comfortable for you with both of us there."

Sean glanced at the time, "At this hour, Inisa probably hasn't gone to sleep yet."

"Uh... that's true." Lisha clutched the corner of her clothes and gave an awkward laugh.

The car started moving, and Lisha's restless expression piqued Sean's curiosity.

What on earth was she hiding that she didn't want him to know?

Soon, the car stopped.

Lisha hesitated for a moment before slowly opening the car door and stepping out, not knowing how to explain the things inside the house to Sean.

Lisha was anxiously struggling in place, completely unaware that Sean hadn't gotten out of the car.

Rolling down the window, Sean said with a smile, "Goodnight, Lisha."

"Mm, goodnight, Sean... Aren't you coming up?"

Lisha snapped out of it, a bit surprised. They were already downstairs, so wasn't he going to come up and sit for a while? He always used to stay over.

Sean shook his head, softly said goodbye, and prepared to start the car and leave.

This word stunned Lisha, and a chill went from her head to her toes. Recalling that day, her husband, Kree, had also said goodbye before she never saw him again.

Tears instantly streamed from the corners of her eyes, but she couldn't care about that. She immediately rushed to the side, opened the driver's side door, and sat on top of Sean, who was in the driver's seat.

Lisha couldn't hear anything right now, and didn't want to care about anything; she just wanted to warm up her body.

The Fire began to change, and the glass was covered with a thin layer of mist, preventing peeking and soundproofing the interior. Inside the car, the seats quickly moved to clear space, leaving only one seat in the driver's position, which was both shock-absorbent and capable of vibrating on its own.

After a long while...

"Ha~"

Waves of warmth radiated between the two of them. Lisha let out a long sigh of relief and burst into tears.

"Don't... don't go! Don't say goodbye~ Don't say goodbye~"

Pulling her up a bit, Sean gently patted her back and comforted her, "Lisha, you can have your own life and your own little secrets. It's okay. You don't have to tie your whole heart to me."

Lisha shook her head vigorously in Sean's arms, "No, I want to be tied to you. You can tie me however you want. I have no secrets; you are my entire life!"

"I will tell you everything. I beg you, please don't say goodbye, okay?"

A smile appeared on the corner of Sean's mouth. If I wanted to leave, I would have just stepped on the gas. Would I have waited for you to run over and pull the car door? Heh.

"Alright, I'll listen to you. Then I won't go upstairs. Let's go to my place, or a hotel, or..."

Lisha immediately covered Sean's mouth with both hands, shaking her body, and firmly said, "No! Let's go up. I want to tell you everything that's happened recently!"

"Fine, we'll go up. But you should at least put your clothes on first, right?" As he spoke, Sean's hand fumbled around nearby.

"No to that too. I don't want to wear them. I don't want you to... leave me~ Mmh~" Lisha hugged Sean's neck tightly again, refusing to let go no matter what.

"Carry me and fly up."

"Mm!"

The car window opened, and holding Lisha tightly, Sean flew rapidly toward the upper floor. On the way, another wave of warmth appeared between the two.

Fortunately, it was very tight, otherwise it would have dripped down.

Entering the room from the window, a strong smell of garlic hit them. Walking into the living room, a scene of chaos came into view; the sofa and the floor were covered in messy things, and there were even two handguns on the coffee table.

"You... this, never mind, let's go to the bathroom first."

"Ah." Lisha was a bit embarrassed and whispered, "I soaked garlic solution in the bathtub. Sorry."

"Then in the bedroom?"

"I, I put a lot of mannequins and some weapons..."

The more Lisha said, the more embarrassed she became. A part of the reason she didn't want Sean to come up was that there really weren't many clean places in the house.

"Let's go to the guest room. There's nothing there."

The bed in the guest room was slightly smaller, but Lisha was very satisfied. She felt the smaller, the better, so she could sleep directly on him.

Sean also sighed helplessly, "Tell me about it."

"Okay!" Lisha slowly told him about what she had encountered recently.

Although there were a few "ah" sounds and gasps mixed in, it didn't affect the completeness of the story.

It turned out that a while ago, someone called her, claiming to be a friend of Kree, her husband's friend.

They wanted to borrow the old cabin and asked Lisha to deliver some things there, wondering if it was okay.

Lisha naturally agreed, told Nora, and drove to deliver the things they needed.

When she saw the list of items, Lisha knew they were Vampire Hunters, because her husband used to prepare these things often.

But when she entered, she was terrified. A dozen people were lying in the living room, all suffering from varying degrees of injuries. It didn't look fatal, but it must have been very painful.

After distributing some medical supplies to them, Lisha asked what had happened.

This group of hunters trusted Lisha; after all, she was the relative of their companion, so they told her everything.

A few months ago, they discovered signs of Vampire activity in New York City again, so they contacted a group of companions to come out of retirement, preparing to clear out the Vampires once more.

This time they were very confident, because previously, after Stark learned of the existence of creatures like Vampires, he had created a lot of "defensive gear" to deal with them.

Although it was called defensive gear, Stark knew that if the hunters took it back and modified it slightly, it would be a powerful weapon against Vampires.

Moreover, this kind of defensive gear caused no harm to ordinary people and could only cause damage to Vampires, so he wasn't afraid of it being used by bad people.

The group of hunters, armed with the improved defensive gear, were very confident. After all, even without these things in the past, they had still repelled Vampires, let alone now.

The facts were indeed as they had expected. No matter what kind of Vampire it was, they couldn't last long in their hands, and for a time, the battle went very smoothly.

Until that day, when they encountered a group of hooded and masked guys, all holding long sticks, who easily knocked everyone down. Their defensive gear and weapons had no effect on them at all.

But what happened next made them all feel very strange.

Chapter 156: This Night, They Decided to Seek Death

After this group of highly skilled "Vampires" defeated them, they didn't come up to suck their blood or tie them up as food.

They just stood there quietly, and wouldn't even chase them if they ran away; it seemed that as long as they didn't advance, this group of hooded people wouldn't attack.

Then, someone remembered that Kelly lived nearby, so they fled there and found Lisha's contact information inside the house.

After she arrived, the Vampire Hunters asked about Kelly's whereabouts.

Upon learning that he had gone out with a tall, muscular black man and been killed, everyone was shocked, shouting, "Impossible! Eric couldn't have died so easily!"

After the Vampire Hunters calmed their inner agitation, they gathered to discuss their next strategy.

Meanwhile, Lisha had a bold idea.

By becoming a Vampire Hunter and joining the Superheroes, she would be able to stay with Sean often.

When Lisha proposed learning how to become a Vampire Hunter, they all laughed. Although they didn't think she would succeed, learning a bit of self-defense was perfectly fine, especially during this critical period.

Therefore, this was the reason why there were so many miscellaneous things in Lisha's house. She didn't want Sean to know because she felt he would definitely be very angry.

The result was as Lisha expected; Sean was indeed a bit angry.

His large hand slapped the junction of her waist and legs, and the force used was not light; it turned red after just two slaps.

Lisha bit her lip, not daring to cry out in pain, and could only apologize repeatedly with tears in her eyes.

"Do you know why I'm angry?" Sean asked.

"Mm~ I know, because I was going to do something dangerous."

Sean slapped her again, "Hmph, you knew and still did it; your crime is compounded!"

"I was wrong, I was really wrong. I just wanted to spend more time with you," Lisha said, panting.

Stopping his actions, Sean hugged her tightly. After a while, he said in a strange tone, "Hmph, then go be your Superhero. From now on, you'll be Vampire Hunter Lisha, not my Lisha."

Upon hearing this, Lisha became anxious and quickly acted coquettishly, "Ah, I won't be a hero or a hunter anymore. I'll only be your Lisha, the Lisha who is always tied to your side."

"Don't be angry anymore, okay, Master~"

"Not enough. Calling me Master isn't enough to make up for my feeling of disappointment just now." Sean turned his head away, pretending to be very angry.

Seeing this, Lisha understood. It was good to know he wasn't actually angry; if Sean ignored her, she wouldn't know what to do in the future.

"Then... then wait a moment, I'll go out for a bit and be right back."

Now, Lisha could leave Sean for a little while; after all, the misunderstanding was resolved, and the next step was the compensation phase.

Soon, Lisha walked in wearing a long white dress. This was the bridesmaid dress that Nora hadn't used last time.

A black choker was tied around her neck, with one end of a white silk scarf threaded through the choker and tied, while the other end was handed to Sean.

Lisha's eyes were full of longing, her sincere heart clearly visible.

"Master, you must tie me up~"

---

In Hells Kitchen, a group of twenty Tarot People all lived in one house. They were not accustomed to the outside World, and felt more at ease living together like villagers. Although there were both men and women, there were no inconveniences.

Ying Nan and Uncle Guang looked at the listless appearance of their clansmen, and felt quite melancholy in their hearts.

They had been here for some time now. Dice had not treated them poorly in terms of daily life, and other matters were arranged very properly.

Regarding fighting, it was indeed as she said; she did not make them use lethal force, and it was mostly about capturing, or just driving them away.

This point was quite gratifying to them; not having to kill made them feel much better.

However, they felt that they were still working for bad people, which was an insult to the dignity of the Taro.

"Do you have the feeling that the other day, after we let that group of people with strange weapons go, she seemed a bit angry?" Uncle Guang asked.

Ying Nan nodded. This was something that hadn't happened before. Previously, when they let go of some people they could have captured, Dice would only smile disdainfully and say something like, "Clowns, no need to worry about them," and that would be it.

This time, her attitude was clearly wrong. The orders she gave were the same as before, but she was obviously concealing the anger in her heart, not wanting anyone to notice.

"Do you think we should contact that group of people?" Uncle Guang asked again.

Ying Nan looked at the door and shook her head.

Inside this room, there was nothing except daily furniture. Not to mention communication equipment, there wasn't even a television or radio, and there were many guards standing outside.

It was only because they came from Luo Village that they hadn't gone crazy from boredom yet.

"We do need to contact them, but we can only wait for the next time she sends us to stand guard. I have a feeling she has a kind of deep-seated disgust for that group of people."

Uncle Guang also nodded, "I also feel that group of people don't seem like bad guys. Their purpose is clear, and they don't even have any lethal weapons."

It wasn't that they wanted to rebel against Dice, because with that man there, no matter how they resisted, it wouldn't succeed.

They just wanted to warn those good people to leave and not come back to throw their lives away.

Incidentally, they also wanted to find out what this woman called Dice was actually doing, and who exactly they were working for.

A few days later...

At night, the moon was dark and the wind was high.

The Tarot People were divided into four teams to guard four critical intersections. This time, Dice gave them a death order over the phone: bring back people alive, or bring back their corpses.

Ying Nan was not in the same team as Uncle Guang. Only the two of them knew about wanting to contact the outside World, and it wasn't easy to tell the other clansmen. It wasn't that they didn't trust them, but their communication skills were too poor, and it might have the opposite effect.

At the same time, on the outskirts of Hells Kitchen.

A dozen or so hunters gathered together to discuss tactics.

"Jin, how are we acting this time?"

Jin lowered his head, stroked his chin, and thought for a moment, "Do you all remember the hooded people we met last time?"

"We remember, what about them?"

"I feel that they don't seem like Vampires; they are humans."

Everyone thought about it and nodded.

Indeed, that group of people was completely unafraid of the weapons in their hands. Anything that was very effective against Vampires was useless against them.

The evidence that made them sure the hooded people were humans wasn't just this point, but that they struck very lightly and had no intention of killing at all.

There were several times when the hooded people could have killed them directly, but the sticks stopped when they reached their heads.

And Jin also heard at that time that the hooded person spoke, and it was a female voice, telling them to run quickly.

Combining all the above information, the hooded people were not in the same group as the Vampires, but for some reason, they were forced to help them.

Tonight, their mission was not to destroy the blood bank, but to have a chat with this group of hooded people.

Just like that, two different groups of people made the same decision.

Seeking death!

Chapter 157: Wanda Who Dares Not Lose Control

"Hmm? They're here!" Ying Nan's eyes shifted as she sensed the group approaching, and she reached out to stop her clansmen who were about to attack.

Sure enough, when the group reached the rooftop, Ying Nan nodded at them. Both sides understood each other implicitly, tacitly aware of what the other wanted to do.

The Vampire Hunters split into three squads, not issuing combat orders, but scouting instead.

Jin also saw a hooded figure below nodding at him and instantly understood that they wanted to talk as well. He immediately had his teammates silently clear out the Vampires guarding the hooded figures nearby.

Screams erupted all around. Ying Nan frowned slightly. Had she guessed wrong? Were these people truly villains? Otherwise, why would they strike with such cruelty?

After a moment of thought, she suppressed the urge to attack. Even if they were villains, it was just thugs fighting thugs. It wouldn't be too late to capture them after verifying the situation.

With no Tarot People stopping them, the Vampire Hunters quickly cleared out the Vampire minions and walked up to Ying Nan.

Jin took off his mask, smiled, and said, "Hello."

Ying Nan also took off her mask and threw her hood back. "Who are you people?"

"Vampire Hunters, Hannibal King."

The other Vampire Hunters also took off their masks one by one, introduced themselves, and tossed their weapons aside to show they had no ill intent.

They also believed that the hooded figures would not attack. If they had wanted to kill them, they could have done so last time; they wouldn't have waited until now.

"Vampire... what is that?" Ying Nan asked, puzzled.

The group opposite them smiled happily, knowing that the hooded figures were not in league with the Vampires.

"I'll keep it brief. Vampires are a group of monsters that feed on human blood. They are powerful and long-lived; humans are simply no match for them."

"And through the experience of our predecessors, we know what Vampires fear, so we took it upon ourselves to take on the duty of clearing out Vampires."

Ying Nan was stunned. Didn't that mean Vampires were monsters just like Soul Eaters? Only one fed on blood and the other on souls; essentially, they were both monsters that harmed humans.

Didn't that mean these guys calling themselves Vampire Hunters were just like the Tarot People of the outside world, fighting powerful monsters for generations?

For a moment, Ying Nan felt a bit confused. Taro had finally gotten rid of the Soul Eaters, only to get involved with Vampires after coming out?

"I... I cannot take your word for it."

At this moment, Ying Nan was actually a bit shaken, because the people in front of her were very sincere, a world of difference from Dice.

Jin was not surprised at all. Her saying this only further proved that they were people kept in the dark.

"I understand. So, you just need to come with us to the factory at the very back and take a look, and you'll know."

Ying Nan's expression was conflicted. If she went, she would be risking the lives of all the Tarot People.

"What's inside?" she asked through gritted teeth. If there was no hard evidence, she still didn't want to go; it would be better to just let these people leave quickly.

"Heh, inside is a food processing plant. The raw materials are humans. They are hung in the air, half-dead, having their blood drained!" When Jin said this, his expression also became somewhat ferocious.

These words stunned Ying Nan and her group. At the same time, they looked back, as if a terrifying demon were floating above the factory in the distance.

When they turned back, their eyes were filled with shock and disbelief. They had actually been helping monsters all this time?

Having reached this point, Ying Nan had nothing more to say. She took a deep breath, and her eyes became firm—the kind of look that only appeared when facing a true enemy.

"Assemble!"

The four clansmen behind her also looked pleased; they jumped to a high vantage point and notified the other clansmen in their own way.

"We are going to the factory now. If you have lied to me, I will..."

"Do whatever you want with me!" Jin's gaze was also very firm.

"Good!"

Although killing enemies wasn't the Vampire Hunters' plan, plans couldn't keep up with changes. Originally, they were just going to find out about the hooded figures and leave, but they hadn't expected to persuade them directly.

What was there to be afraid of then? Without the hooded figures, ordinary Vampires were just fish on a chopping block, ready to be slaughtered at will!

Jin and his team immediately notified their teammates via headset, saying the plan had changed and to storm the factory immediately!

No sooner said than done, the Vampires hadn't even reacted before the Vampire Hunters rushed in front of them. The few survivors were still ordering the Tarot People to charge, but Uncle Guang and the others ignored them completely, instead following them as they rushed towards the factory at the very back.

Since Ying Nan had given the signal, Uncle Guang would naturally follow. Regarding their clansmen, the level of trust between them exceeded anything the outside world could imagine.

On the other side, at the Hess Family Residence.

When Dice received the notification from her subordinate, she flew into a rage. "A bunch of ungrateful things," she said, and immediately prepared to take people to deal with them.

Hess was more composed, knowing that it would definitely be too late for Dice to rush over now. Vampire Hunters were not like the Tarot People; they used technology.

Now, only Sean Brooke could resolve this matter. It was better to just have the Elder take people to handle the scene.

Inside that small factory was a blood-food warehouse. There was no need to look carefully for other evidence; as long as the miserable images of the humans inside were transmitted out, the consequences would go without saying.

At this moment, Sean Brooke was at home, teaching Wanda how to suppress her eyes from turning red.

In this room filled with Nano Suit Vibranium robots, Wanda could freely release energy she couldn't control.

"Wanda, try your superpower on me again. It might affect me," Sean Brooke said with a mischievous smile.

Wanda panted heavily while waving her hand, "No, no, no more. Let me, let me rest for a while."

She had also realized that every time Sean Brooke took the initiative to have her use up her superpowers, he would say, "Huh, it seems useful. I feel a bit hot." Then, he would pull her into the room, claiming it was to further test her abilities. Who knew, he was actually just testing her... bottom line every time.

"Alright, your superpower control has been good lately. Great job!" He lay to the side, hugging her and praising her.

"Uh, heh heh, yeah." Wanda carefully rolled her eyes at him, then quickly pulled back, afraid of being discovered.

"Duh, how could I not control it well? Every time I lose control outside, I get dragged into the room by you for adjustments. Every time I lose control, it's training. How would I dare to lose control anymore!" "Forget about me, even my superpowers are about to be shaped by you!" Wanda certainly dared not say these words out loud; otherwise, what awaited her would be endless loss of control.

Just as she was preparing to ask Sean Brooke about other things, she discovered he was on the phone.

Suddenly, Wanda felt a burst of terrifying malice. She looked up carefully and saw that Sean Brooke's eyes had turned red.

At this moment, Wanda didn't know whether to be happy or afraid. Happy, her superpowers had worked? Afraid, her superpowers had worked! Would she still be able to live?

"I'm going out for a bit!"

After saying this, the Nano Suit filling the room converged onto Sean Brooke, and a suit never seen before appeared on him. It was pitch black, visible only by the reflection of the moonlight, with a blood-red cape fluttering in the wind, making one shudder. The letter in the middle was no longer S, but T—Homelander.

Chapter 158: The Vampire Hunter Who Discovered the Truth

"Uncle Guang!"

"Ying Nan, what's the situation?" After Uncle Guang and the others knocked down several people with their staffs, they successfully rendezvoused with the main force.

Ying Nan's expression was anxious. "Rush into the factory first; I'll explain on the way!"

"Alright, everyone get ready, attack formation!"

"Quick, stop them!"

Suddenly, a dozen pale-faced people appeared in front, holding submachine guns and firing at the Vampire Hunters.

Ying Nan and the others quickly blocked the front, using their weapons to deflect the shots. The bullets that slipped through had no effect when they hit their clothes.

Jin threw a grenade into mid-air. There was no explosive Impact, only bursts of white light.

Uncle Guang and the others were still puzzled as to why a flashbang was thrown, only to discover that the people in front of them were letting out miserable screams, smoking all over, and then dissolving on the spot as if they had melted.

A few others who hadn't reacted were shot dead by Jin's companions.

"Are these... Vampires?" Ying Nan asked.

Jin nodded. "Yes, and those who didn't fall are indeed humans, but they are the Ha Gui Tribe, willing slaves to the Vampires, helping them do their bidding."

Seeing the bewildered expressions of her kin, Ying Nan explained to them what a Vampire was.

After hearing her words, all the clansmen were furious, especially Uncle Guang, who slammed his staff down heavily, cracking the ground with fissures.

"Damn it! Then what's the difference between this group of Vampires and the Soul Eaters!"

"Exactly. I didn't expect that after finally getting rid of the Soul Eaters, we'd be tricked into helping the Vampires!"

The emotions that the Taro People had accumulated during this period erupted instantly, with a strong tendency to go down fighting.

If it were just internal strife among humans, they could help out without killing anyone, and they would be able to live with it.

But now, they were essentially protecting the Soul Eaters, which would instantly destroy the thousand-year reputation of Taro.

The Taro People stopped holding back, coordinating with the Vampire Hunters to storm the factory, wanting to see just how far these monsters would go.

The Vampires couldn't stop them at all; even the Ha Gui Tribe, equipped with Taro gear, couldn't stop the highly skilled Taro People.

The group advanced like a hot knife through butter, quickly rushing into the factory, where several Vampire Hunters appeared from the corners.

"Jin, the Vampires inside have all been cleared out. They really did plant bombs!"

Based on their experience, there would definitely be a contingency plan in the blood bank, usually a large amount of explosives, to be detonated if things went south, leaving no evidence behind.

Therefore, Jin had sent a few people to the factory ahead of time, fearing the Vampires would destroy the evidence.

"Thank you for your hard work." Jin turned to look at Ying Nan and took a deep breath. "I hope you won't be afraid when you see what comes next."

"Kid, why all the chatter? Lead the way!" Uncle Guang was furious; he couldn't just stand around here.

Jin nodded to a Vampire Hunter, who quickly led them to the door of a huge warehouse. Several more Vampire Hunters went up and together opened the heavy door.

When the lights were turned on, illuminating the scene inside, the Taro People were stunned. Several younger Vampire Hunters were also visibly shocked. They had heard the elders describe how disgusting a blood bank was and thought it was an exaggeration, but they didn't expect the reality to be even more nauseating.

Inside the warehouse were a dozen rows of translucent bags, each containing a person sealed inside, with several tubes connected to the bags, pumping blood out and collecting it into a larger vat.

In the iron cages in the corners, there were several more ragged humans. Seeing people enter, they all huddled in the corners, not daring to make a sound; those who had dared to speak before had all been dragged into the bags.

"Are... are these people still alive?" Ying Nan asked, her voice trembling.

The people in the bags were all skin and bones, their heads sunken, yet they were still producing blood; it was impossible to tell if they were alive or dead.

"Worse than death! The Vampires have a technology that can kill brain cells while keeping the person alive, so that they can continuously produce fresh... blood!"

Jin's expression was calm, but a few tears still streamed from the corners of his eyes. Even though he had seen this many times, he still felt sorrow.

"Let's save those who are still alive first, and then... send them on their way." Jin directed the Vampire Hunters to act; they also needed to preserve a copy of the evidence here.

The Taro People were too shocked to speak, and Uncle Guang was already weeping with old tears; only Ying Nan remained relatively calm.

"No! We must leave immediately, otherwise, once that person arrives, it will be too late!"

"Who are you talking about?" Jin was puzzled. They had killed the powerful Vampires before, and everyone they had encountered so far was just small fry; there shouldn't be any danger left.

Thinking of that man, a chill swept over all the Taro People.

"He is the one who killed our guardian deity and threatened us that if we didn't help, he would... massacre the village."

Jin's expression changed. He didn't doubt their words. Since he could easily kill this group of powerful hooded figures, he must possess superpowers. After a little thought, he made a decision.

"Then we must contact the Superhero immediately. Right now, only they can deal with the person you're talking about. By the way, what are the characteristics of the person you mentioned?"

Uncle Guang sighed deeply. "He can fly, has immense strength, and his eyes can shoot lasers. He easily took care of the monsters we couldn't kill for thousands of years."

Can fly, immense strength, eyes that shoot lasers...

Jin didn't even have to think to know that the person they were describing was Homelander.

At the same time, he wondered if someone else had also obtained these superpowers. After all, these abilities weren't particularly unique, and it wasn't impossible for others to possess them.

But one sentence from Ying Nan made all the Vampire Hunters present break out in a cold sweat.

"I remember that day, a woman called him... Sean."

The scene suddenly went quiet. The Vampire Hunters' eyes were trembling; they dared not even imagine the possibility that Homelander could be a Vampire.

If he were, then who else in this World could stop him?

If he weren't, that seemed even more terrifying—Homelander was actually protecting the Vampires!

"Impossible! Homelander cannot be a Vampire, and he would absolutely never act as a protective umbrella for monsters! You must have misheard!" A female Vampire Hunter on the scene clutched her head and shouted.

She was a loyal fan of Homelander and had even thought about asking him for help in dealing with the Vampires.

But the Vampires they had encountered were too weak, so weak that she was embarrassed to ask Homelander for help.

Their expressions made Ying Nan feel something was wrong, and she immediately asked, "Do you know him too?"

Jin was the first to recover. He gritted his teeth and said, "The person you just mentioned is the most powerful person recognized on this Planet, and also the most perfect Superhero, Homelander, Sean Brooke!"

"He... Hero?"

Ying Nan and the others were dumbfounded. Recalling what that man had done in Taro Village, they couldn't possibly associate him with a hero.

"Then we must not leave even more. We must make this public; otherwise, the whole World will be kept in the dark by him!" Jin roared.

This roar shocked everyone into waking up a bit.

That's right, if this matter isn't exposed, who knows what other massive conspiracy Homelander has.

Just as they came to their senses and were preparing to take action, applause came from above.

Clap, clap!

"Well said. As expected of the unsung heroes I first acknowledged, the Vampire Hunters."

A man wearing a pitch-black uniform and a red cape slowly descended.

Although the uniform was different, the Vampire Hunters could be certain that he was Homelander.

"Quick, send..."

Before Jin could finish his sentence, his body was pierced by a powerful beam of light.

Immediately after, the Vampire Hunters scattered in various places were melted by this beam of light; none survived.

The reason he killed the Vampire Hunters first was simple: they were holding some kind of communication device.

Sean landed on the ground with a kind expression, looked at Ying Nan and the others, and smiled, saying:

"Next, it's your turn."

Chapter 159: Scene Exposed

"Why? Uh..."

Ying Nan's feet were off the ground, her face flushed red, and veins bulged all over her forehead as she was tightly gripped by the throat by a large hand.

"Let her go!" Uncle Guang let out an angry roar and swung his staff down.

Only two crisp snapping sounds were heard; the staff made of dragon scales shattered all over the floor. One sound was the staff, and the other was his spine.

"Don't... don't kill them, cough, cough, cough!" Ying Nan struggled to squeeze a few words out of her throat.

"Sure!"

Sean's eyes glowed red, and his Heat Vision swept across the legs of the others. He smiled and said, "Listen, they can still cry out. I didn't lie to you, did I?"

With her brain deprived of oxygen, Ying Nan's eyes were already blurring, and she was shedding tears of blood. As the miserable cries of her people echoed in her ears, she fell into endless self-reproach.

It wasn't self-reproach for bringing the hunters to the warehouse, but rather self-reproach that they shouldn't have believed Dice's words.

That day, Taro should have fought to the death; that way, they could have honorably gone to meet their ancestors and My Lord the Divine Dragon.

Instead of ending up like this, having done a bunch of bad things and causing the deaths of many good people—how could she have the face to see the ancestors of Taro!

"You... will not... end... well..."

Sean didn't even let her say the last word; he wanted her to die with regret.

Ignoring the still-screaming Tarot People, Sean glanced around. After confirming there was no one outside the warehouse, he flew out and completely destroyed the warehouse.

After killing the hunters, Sean saw the Brave Guardian rushing here; the previous commotion must have been too loud, attracting George's attention.

This was Hells Kitchen, so he was the only one who would come over. Other Police generally wouldn't set foot here; no matter how big the commotion was, no one would call the Police.

He used his Heat Vision to detonate the buried bombs, blowing the entire warehouse into fragments. Then, he scanned all the large objects with his Heat Vision again. Only after confirming there was no evidence left at the scene did Sean leave.

The tardy Elder looked up, said nothing more, and immediately ordered people to clean up the traces of the battle nearby—quickly!

More than ten minutes later, George finally arrived at the scene. The huge explosion made him feel something was wrong, but there was no help for it; the Guardian's mobility was indeed poor.

Just as he opened his visor to check the situation, a strong stench of blood drilled into George's nose and mouth, making him shudder.

Based on his experience, at least a hundred people had died here; otherwise, there wouldn't be such a heavy stench of blood.

George quickly contacted the Police station, asking them to send a large number of Police officers to seal off the scene. He also used his small flying machine to search for clues about the killer.

But unfortunately, the scene was just too clean. Let alone clues, there wasn't even a slightly larger stone left.

This discovery also made George feel something was wrong. Gangland shootouts wouldn't reach this level, or rather, in his career, no criminal had ever handled a scene to this extent.

If not for the factory diagram nearby, George wouldn't have dared to believe that there had once been a warehouse here.

Half an hour later, the backup Police arrived, but they all had expressions of fear and didn't even dare to get out of their cars.

Only Gwen quickly rushed out, looking around, and ran to George to ask: "Where is Sean? Where is Sean!"

George was bewildered by her actions, having no idea what their situation was.

It wasn't until a Police officer confirmed that Sean wasn't nearby that he cautiously handed his phone to George.

The footage on the phone made his pupils dilate in shock. He first suspected the authenticity of the video, until he turned his head to look at the warehouse, and after a long time of mental preparation, he dared to believe that it was real.

The video was only ten seconds long, but there was no one who didn't recognize the person in the footage.

In the video, Sean was choking a woman's neck with one hand. Three seconds later, an old man told him to let go, and Sean killed him. Seven seconds later, he used his Heat Vision to break the legs of the people nearby, wailing erupted, and ten seconds later, the footage disappeared.

Even though the Sean in the video was wearing a black suit, his face and his Heat Vision made everyone certain that this person committing the Carnage was the Superhero, Homelander, Sean.

---

After resolving the matter here, Sean rushed to Hess's new home.

In the living room, the five of them were waiting for Sean to return. Hearing the door push open, they all went up to greet him together.

"It's all resolved, don't worry."

Hearing his words, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

Sif and Feifei took towels and immediately stepped forward to help him wipe the blood off his body, not at all frightened by the stench of blood, even though Feifei was still just an ordinary person.

Dice stood there blankly, her face full of annoyance.

"Let's go to the bathroom first; this bathroom is very big." Hess hurriedly pulled Sean upstairs and used her eyes to signal them to follow.

She had specifically changed houses, wasn't it for times like this?

Once in the bathroom, Sean also took off his Nano Suit, and they realized how rushed Sean had been when he left.

Seeing this, Dice knelt directly in front of him, "Sorry, this matter is all... Mmm!"

Sean didn't let her continue speaking; he put his hand on her head and comforted her: "No need to apologize, it's not a big deal. It just so happens that I'll clear out the people in Daluo Heaven later; I want to build something in there."

"Mmhmm~" Dice nodded vigorously, indicating she would complete this task.

Isa, who was to the side, saw her boss suffering and tears flowed from the corners of her mouth.

"This... this matter, I also have responsibility, it's not entirely... Ah!"

Hess laughed and gave a forceful pat, "Alright, let's not mention this matter again. Tonight, we have plenty of time to apologize."

Sean turned his head and kissed her, "You still understand me best."

"Then, please accept our apologies properly~"

Hess stood on tiptoes, not letting them separate, and kissed him.

The other three saw this and knew to hurry and grab their positions. Sif was the fastest, quickly delivering herself to Sean's right hand.

Isa, because of her positional advantage, also delivered herself to the fingertips of Sean's left hand.

Feifei took one look, didn't hesitate, and instantly knelt down, face-to-face with her boss.

Just as the six of them were playing happily in the bathroom, they had no idea that the outside world had already turned upside down.

---

The spread of this ten-second video on YouTube and Facebook was terrifyingly fast; in less than an hour, the view count had already exceeded 100 million.

Almost no one believed in the authenticity of this video; they all thought it was the effect of editing, and some even thought that Homelander had gone to shoot a movie and this was a promotional tactic.

Even when a group of tech experts stood up and said that this video was real, with no traces of editing, and didn't look like a movie clip, no ordinary person believed them.

They absolutely would not believe that the perfect Superhero, Homelander, would do such cruel things.

For a time, the outside world was in an uproar, all waiting for an explanation from Homelander.

On the other side, after seeing the video, Wanda felt something was wrong and immediately fled, then contacted Pierce to tell him that she had already bewitched Homelander, causing him to lose control and kill many people.

When hearing this news, Pierce was also watching the video and had his subordinates investigate whether it was true.

The feedback received was that the Police station had indeed mobilized everyone, and the address was exactly that warehouse. Coupled with Wanda's testimony, Pierce could no longer hide his smile.

He didn't know who Homelander killed, nor did he want to care. He only knew that Homelander had killed people, and the methods were very cruel; that was enough.

That night, in his capacity as the Minister of the Security Council, he drafted an arrest warrant, and the target was none other than Homelander.

Chapter 160 Arresting Homelander

Sean was lying with his eyes closed, enjoying being pampered by them while soaking in the pool. This comfortable feeling only strengthened his resolve to build a huge, open-air hot spring in Daluo Heaven.

"Negative public opinion is currently too high. Time growth paused. Please resolve as soon as possible."

Seeing Sean open his eyes, Hess retreated just a little, a crystalline bridge forming between them.

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, continue."

"Mm!"

Hess's fingers pressed against his brow, quickly making Sean feel comfortable again.

"Hmm~ It must be that what happened earlier was discovered. A slip-up actually occurred. Sigh, forget it, I don't care."

Sean's Homelander time was now nearly one hundred years. With Affection Points added, it could pile up to over three hundred years. He didn't care whether it was paused or not; he would just enjoy himself for a few years first.

---

That night, only Sean and his companions could sleep; most people were sleepless throughout the night.

Early the next morning, at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in Washington.

Fury had been waiting there since the early hours, waiting for Pierce to arrive.

"Good morning, Fury." Pierce walked over looking exhausted, immediately raising his hand to stop him from speaking.

"Let's go in. I've scheduled a meeting with the Council, you should come too."

Entering the office, Pierce pressed a button, and several screens lit up around them, displaying the various members of the Council.

"Fury is here too? That's perfect. Explain, why did Homelander lose control?"

"Don't give us any nonsense about the video being fake; there are no fools here."

Fury's face darkened, making his already dark complexion even darker.

"That is exactly what I want to talk about. The video is real, but have you investigated the people he killed? I checked. Not to mention America, they haven't appeared in any country at all. I have reason to suspect—no! I'm certain, this is another group of aliens that have infiltrated Earth!"

Once these words were spoken, everyone gasped, feeling that this made sense and was very likely.

"Ahem!" Pierce coughed lightly and asked, "Then why did he wipe out the entire warehouse? Isn't that destroying evidence?"

As he spoke, Pierce pulled up the footage of the warehouse and continued, "Based on the signs at the scene, we infer that after Homelander detonated the bomb, he used his Heat Vision to clear every inch of the land. To go to such lengths, we have reason to suspect that he is covering up something shameful."

That... hmm, that also made sense. Killing aliens was one thing, but was there a need to destroy all the evidence?

"That is just your speculation, there is no evidence!" Fury roared.

Pierce smiled faintly and pulled up a few more screens.

"We investigated that factory, and guess what? All the workers and the owner have disappeared; not a single one can be found. And their identity information was all forged, just like the aliens you mentioned, Fury."

"Look here again. By investigating the surroundings of the factory, we found some traces of combat. Although there aren't many, they are enough to prove that there was a large-scale armed conflict nearby that night."

"What does that prove?" Fury shouted sternly.

Pierce, not to be outdone, also roared back, "It proves that Homelander is desperately trying to cover up something detrimental to him!"

"That is why we must capture Homelander and question him about what he is hiding. This is standard procedure; we cannot make an exception just because he is a Superhero!"

This last sentence struck a chord with all the Council members.

Even if it was Homelander, he could not break the rules. If it hadn't been exposed, they might have turned a blind eye and let it go.

But now that it was known to the whole world, if they didn't take some action, what would be the point of the Council's existence?

"Fury, do you have anything else to say?"

Fury put away his previous display of impatience. Of course, he knew about the things Pierce was talking about; he just couldn't admit it.

"Have you considered who to assign to capture Homelander?"

"This..."

Seeing the Council members unable to speak, Fury continued, "Let's be clear, all the current heroes combined are not enough to kill him."

That was what Fury said, but in reality, he had been holding his pager all night, ready to press it the moment he heard news of Homelander committing a massacre.

Even now, he was carrying it with him, held in the palm of his left hand, ready to press it the moment he felt something was wrong.

"So, are we going to compromise?" Pierce's righteous voice echoed through the office.

"Just because no one can capture him, are we going to let him act recklessly?"

"We only have this one chance to let him know our stance, to let the public see that we do not fear Homelander, only then can we establish the authority of America!"

"Otherwise, if Homelander sees that we fear him, who knows what other rule-breaking things he might do in the future!"

Pierce's words sent a shock through the hearts of the Council members.

If they left it alone, they only knew that Homelander had killed over a dozen people, and America had done nothing about it. Then the dignity of the Council would be trampled underfoot, never to recover.

The room was silent for a long time, and Fury did not speak again, but Pierce was overjoyed inside.

Only he knew that Homelander hadn't lost control, but was controlled by Wanda, which was why this happened. He figured he should be sober now.

He completely believed that in a sober state, Homelander would never resist and would only accept the fact that he had killed people.

"Now, let's vote on whether to formally issue the order to capture Homelander. I approve!"

"I approve!" "Seconded!" Soon, all the Council members expressed their approval, except for Fury, but his opinion alone did not matter.

After leaving the office, Fury immediately contacted the Avengers, telling them to follow the troops as well. He must not let Sean do anything foolish. If he resisted arrest on the spot and accidentally killed someone, the consequences would be unimaginable.

All the Avengers who received the order mobilized. They also did not believe that Sean would commit a massacre; even if he did, there must be some hidden reason behind it.

Natasha thought of something and first contacted Sif. After confirming that Wanda had also disappeared, she notified everyone.

"The super-powered individual named Wanda has disappeared, be very careful of her!"

Everyone also remembered that Wanda's superpower could control emotions. Was it possible that she had done something that caused Sean to lose control?

Steve also immediately arranged, "Barton, Max, you two go and find Wanda. She might be an important witness to clear Sean's suspicion."

"Understood!"

"Tony, have you found where Sean is? We had better find him before the Military does. No matter what the truth is, we must take him away first; we cannot let the situation continue to escalate!"

"Right away!" Tony was also very anxious, but he had already pulled up all the surveillance from his Iron Armor and couldn't find Sean. Suddenly, he thought of someone.

"Jarvis, check the recent movements of Hess."

"I've found it, sir. She recently made a large purchase, buying a Villa. The address is..."

"Locate it!"

Chapter 161: Homelander is Approaching the White House

8:30 AM, Hess Family Residence.

In the living room, except for Feifei, who was left in Sean's arms, the other four were gathered together, their expressions terrifyingly cold.

Especially Dice, who had bared her fangs, unable to suppress the anger in her heart.

Hess managed to keep her composure, but the crimson in her eyes was more intense than anyone else's.

"Sif, is the Elder hidden properly?"

Sif nodded. "Hidden. They shouldn't be discovered for a while."

"What about the people from the Ha Gui Tribe?"

"They've all been brought in. Those who didn't go in were killed."

"That's good. Dice, have your people get ready. Be prepared to use large-scale thermal weapons if necessary."

"Okay, Sister!"

Isa said calmly, "Boss, we can also stir up trouble in Hell's Kitchen."

Hess gave her an approving look. "Fine, it's in your hands."

"Okay!"

Hess understood that there was no way to explain this matter; the more they explained, the more they would be exposed.

Therefore, they could only try to let other matters suppress this video. She believed that the group in the White House didn't want to tear off the mask of civility either.

"Take action, and be quick!"

"Understood!" The three of them nodded and prepared to leave.

"I was wondering why everyone disappeared as soon as I woke up. What are you discussing here?" Sean yawned as he came down the stairs.

Hess hurried over and hugged his arm. Her smile was slightly stiff, and the words of deception were stuck in her throat, unable to be spoken.

Sean reached out to rub her face and comforted her, "Don't worry, nothing will happen."

Hearing him still comforting her, Hess felt such heartache that tears almost fell. Even Dice, standing nearby, fell into endless self-reproach.

Originally, it was just a minor issue caused by her own mismanagement that led to the rebellion of the Tarot People. The worst-case scenario would probably just be the exposure of their identities and the collapse of the Vampire faction.

But in reality, as long as they left early, they wouldn't have had any issues. Unlike now—they were fine, but Sean was implicated, and his reputation was ruined.

Sitting on the sofa, Sean pulled Dice into his arms as well. "Relax, continue to do as I said yesterday."

Dice let out a firm "Mm," and lowered her head.

"Uh... I was talking about the Taro Village matter, but never mind, continue."

Hess leaned against his chest and asked worriedly, "What do you plan to do?"

A wicked smile appeared at the corner of Sean's mouth. "I plan to..."

Outside, ordinary citizens were waiting for an answer.

If they were satisfied with the official answer, then all would be well. If not, they would wait for Homelander's answer. At the very least, in the hearts of the citizens of New York, Homelander was more trustworthy.

At 8:10 AM, the White House issued an order to arrest Homelander and mobilized all military units in New York City.

For a time, public indignation flared, and everyone spontaneously took to the streets to protest with their actions.

At 8:40 AM, just as Tony was about to find Sean, he received news from Jarvis.

"Sir, the Iron Armor has detected Homelander. He is moving toward the downtown area. His target is the White House."

Upon hearing this news, Tony felt all the hairs on his body stand up. He immediately notified the others to rush over, and then... had Jarvis prepare the untested Black Hole Armor.

At 8:41 AM, upon receiving the information, Fury pressed the pager immediately. He dared not harbor any wishful thinking.

At the same time, Dr. Banner, who had received the news, stopped in his tracks. He stood there, hesitated for a while, and did not rush over.

Max was stunned for a moment, his eyes instantly turning resolute. He quickly searched his mind for nearby power stations and then headed over to provide support. As for who he was supporting, there was no need to say.

At 8:43 AM, Sean landed in front of the President and said with a smile, "I surrender."

At 9:00 AM, the White House announced that Homelander had surrendered and decided to hold a public trial tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM.

Those who had just stepped out of their homes to prepare for protests were stunned. "We were just about to fight to the death, why did Your Majesty surrender?"

The matter was too sudden; no one was prepared. Whether it was the Avengers or HYDRA, no one had expected this result.

Even if Pierce thought Sean wouldn't resist, he expected him to argue his case and prove his innocence.

Yet, this surrender caught them off guard, and they didn't know how to respond.

The presiding judge this time was the same person who had judged Tony before: Senator Stern. He was also a member of HYDRA.

"Minister Pierce, how should I pass judgment tomorrow?" On the other end of the phone, Stern's tone was very respectful.

Pierce tapped his fingers on the table, his expression uncertain.

"Fury will definitely attend to defend Homelander, but you must withstand the pressure. You must sentence him to a few years. The longer the time, the more favorable it will be for our development!"

"Understood, I understand!"

Hanging up the phone, a smile finally appeared on Pierce's face.

If they really followed the laws of America, they probably couldn't actually do anything to Homelander, because there was indeed no physical evidence, and no one could even prove that the person in the video had appeared in reality.

Therefore, they could only use his sense of guilt to make him restrain himself, which was the only way to possibly lock him in the super-prison.

Judging from Sean's attitude of surrendering, he felt that Homelander still cared about his public image; otherwise, if he had just run away or resisted, they would have had no way to deal with him.

Since he had returned to surrender, they would definitely be able to lock him in the super-prison.

As long as they were careful then and didn't let him receive news from the outside world, wouldn't HYDRA be able to do whatever they wanted?

On the other side, the Avengers had all gathered in Stark Tower. This time, even Fury had come.

After reading the materials he provided, everyone's expressions were very grave, and they didn't know how to speak.

"Can we meet with Sean now?" Stark asked.

Natasha shook her head. "I went, but it didn't work. It's not that they wouldn't allow it, but that Sean doesn't want to see anyone."

"Then can we be sure that he was controlled by Wanda and committed the crime of murder?" Steveasked.

Max couldn't hold back and affirmed directly, "It must be! It must be because Homelander is very guilty right now that he won't see anyone and wants the law to judge him! I'm going to kill that woman!"

As he spoke, ignoring their attempts to hold him back, he turned into a bolt of lightning and flew out the window.

Fury sighed and said gloomily, "I can only tell you, this is still the best-case scenario."

"The worst-case scenario is that Sean wasn't controlled, but rather, because some people discovered the secret of the warehouse, he came to silence them."

"As for what exactly is in the warehouse, we don't know, but it must be extremely important."

The reason he said this was because Fury felt that the second scenario was highly likely.

Banner defended Sean, "That shouldn't be it. If he had done something bad, he could just run away now. There's no need to surrender, just like... me."

He sincerely didn't want anything to happen to Sean. Without Homelander to keep Hulk in check, where would he go?

Before Homelander appeared, Banner had never imagined he would live the life he had now. He loved his current life to death.

"Banner, hundreds of people died at the scene, and hundreds more are missing." Fury retorted angrily.

"Forget it, let's prepare for tomorrow's hearing. Also, I can tell you all this: if Sean really committed an act of massacring ordinary people, I will eliminate him."

"I also have the ability to eliminate him!"

Chapter 162: Natasha Discovers the Truth

The following night, the tribunal hall was packed to capacity; this place, which was usually empty, welcomed so many important figures for the first time.

Political heavyweights, leaders of the Military, wealthy elite families, and Superheroes had all arrived at the scene. At a glance, not a single person in the front rows was someone to be trifled with.

Outside the screen, residents across America were watching the live broadcast. On the internet, there were still many people supporting Homelander; they absolutely did not believe that Homelander would do bad things.

Tonight was destined to be a night in the spotlight. Homelander, recognized as the most powerful Superhero, would be judged by the law. This would be a milestone for America since it first had Superheroes.

Soon, amidst the anxious atmosphere of the crowd, the doors opened, and Homelander, Sean, appeared before everyone.

The officers standing on either side of him were drenched in sweat, their calves trembling, unable to take a single step.

Seeing the two of them not moving, Sean had no choice but to slowly walk toward the defendant's seat himself, passing by many familiar faces on both sides.

Cameras flashed incessantly, and sharp-eyed people noticed that he was not wearing handcuffs, but no one dared to speak up.

Sean walked very slowly; he took a full three minutes to cover the thirty-something meters, leaving them streaming with sweat, fearing he might suddenly snap and kill everyone present.

Finally, he walked into the defendant's seat and even thoughtfully closed the gate.

The presiding judge, Stern, had eyelids that were trembling, and he had to keep pinching his thigh to maintain his composure.

"Trial, begin!"

Bang! A crisp strike of the gavel hit everyone's heart.

The big screen lit up, playing that ten-second video. Ying Nan's pleading voice, Uncle Guang's roar, and the wails of the others echoed throughout the hall.

"Defendant Sean Brooke, may I ask, is the person in the video you?"

The hall was terrifyingly quiet. Never mind the sound of cameras; no one even dared to breathe deeply. Everyone was waiting for the person in the middle to speak.

Sean twisted his neck, and his pitch-black Nano Suit emerged—it was exactly the same style as in the video.

"It is me."

Seeing him transform, Stern was so scared that he almost dropped his gavel. Others also wore expressions of terror; those afraid of death had already left beforehand.

The expressions of the Avengers were very grave. Outside the hall, a large number of Iron Armors were floating. Steve had come wearing his uniform, Barton was high up in the hall, and Natasha's hand was also resting on her watch.

The Hulk inside Banner was also somewhat restless, feeling that Sean was very much like his former self—surrounded by enemies on all sides.

Lightning flashed across Max's fingertips; as long as Homelander made a move, he would immediately follow suit.

After taking a few deep breaths, Stern continued to ask, "Then... do you have anything else you want to explain?"

Sean remained expressionless, trying his best to suppress the excitement within.

"No."

"Then are you admitting that it was you who committed the murder in the video?" Stern hurriedly pressed.

"That's right." Sean raised an eyebrow. You HYDRA agent, hurry up and pass the verdict.

Stern suddenly relaxed a bit, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, "Then I will..."

"Wait!"

Everyone's gaze was drawn to this voice, wanting to see who was so bold.

Natasha walked straight to Sean's side and gave him a reassuring look, which left Sean stunned.

"I have new evidence that needs to be submitted."

Stern's eyes showed some panic. He subconsciously looked at Pierce, and only after seeing him nod did he say:

"Please present your evidence!"

Natasha glanced downward, and Tony pressed a button; the faces of individuals appeared on the big screen in front.

Everyone looked closely—weren't these the people who died in the video? Although some didn't show their faces, that woman and the old man were very clear.

"You are not mistaken; these are the people killed by Homelander in the video, or rather, people of unknown identity," Natasha said with a smile.

"What do you mean?" Stern frowned.

"We have investigated these people; there are no identity records for them. Judging from their features, they are Asian, so we asked all Asian countries for help."

"As for the results, it is very surprising. Not a single country has records of them, as if they had never appeared in real society since they were born. Therefore, we suspect that they are not Earthlings."

Natasha finished saying this very confidently and turned her head to look at Sean, wanting to see an expression of surprise from him, but the result left her very shocked.

It was well known that besides Hess, the person who understood Sean best was Natasha. Often, without communication, just by a look, she knew what pose to change into; with a twitch of his mouth, she knew she should find someone to come over.

This time, she suddenly had some doubts because she saw... blame in Sean's eyes?

"This doesn't prove anything! The World is so big, Asia is so big; how could you get other countries to cooperate with you in one day? How is that possible!" Stern mocked.

Natasha didn't listen to this sentence; she was still thinking about why Sean had that look. After pondering for a long time, she could only think of one possibility.

Sean did it on purpose; he wanted to be put on trial. But why? This is the death penalty! Could it be that he felt no weapon could kill him, and thus had nothing to fear? No, that's not the kind of person he is.

Natasha's eyes changed. Combining this with Sean's personality, she reached a particularly absurd conclusion.

This guy, he wouldn't be thinking of retiring, would he!

She had no time to be shocked. A middle-aged man walked out from the spectator stands, approaching the defendant's seat while weeping. No one stopped him because the guards were all Pierce's men.

"Aunt, grandfather, cousin, younger cousin, family! I will avenge you! Murderer Homelander, go to hell!"

After finishing, he flipped open his coat, revealing the bomb around his waist, and rushed toward Sean.

Before the crowd could panic, Tony quickly swiped his right hand. An Iron Armor rushed in, attached itself to the man, and carried him flying toward the sky.

With a thunderous boom, everyone breathed a slight sigh of relief and slowly sat back down in their chairs.

Stern smiled slightly, "It seems your evidence is wrong, but I don't blame you; Asia is so big, it's normal to miss some things."

"Then I will continue to announce: Homelander, Sean, is guilty of murder, but due to his particularity, he is sentenced to life imprisonment, effective immediately, to be incarcerated in the Supermax prison!"

Bang! The gavel sounded. The matter of Homelander's crime was thus settled.

Only then did all the reporters dare to stand up, pressing their cameras and asking questions incessantly.

"Homelander, may I ask why exactly did you commit murder?"

"Mr. Homelander, what would you like to say to the fans who have always supported you?"

"There is a hidden story to this, isn't there? Homelander, say something~"

Natasha couldn't hear any of the outside noise; she only saw that Sean was smiling.

Thinking back to this morning, when she went to find Sif, preparing to take her to the scene, she hadn't expected her to refuse.

It's over; Sean must be planning to elope with Sif to Asgard!

He must miss the days he spent in Asgard previously. After he came back that time, she heard him rambling every day about how big the hot springs were there and how white the clouds were.

Sean also realized that Natasha knew what he was thinking, but the matter was settled, and she couldn't change the outcome.

He slowly rose into the air and gave a muffled cough. The thunderous, muffled sound made everyone quiet down.

"Gentlemen, I have something to say."

Chapter 163: Character Collapse

Looking at Sean floating in mid-air, their former guardian, everyone felt a sour taste in their hearts.

Only when all the eyes on the scene were focused on him did Sean slowly speak in a magnetic voice.

"I stopped the Iron Man battle on the New York overpass, saving hundreds; I defused a bomb at the city hospital, saving thousands; I killed the Abomination on Broadway, saving a whole block; I killed alien robots in New Mexico, saving a state; I slaughtered an alien army in New York, saving Earth; I fought the Dark Elves in Asgard, saving the Nine Realms."

The corner of Sean's mouth lifted, and he shifted the topic.

"I'm saying all this not to boast about my achievements to ordinary people, but to serve as a warning to other Superheroes."

"No matter how many people you've saved, no matter how many times you've saved the Earth, wrong is wrong, without exception! I hope you will take me as a boundary and not make mistakes."

"Only a hero bound by civilization is a true hero. As for me, I'll step down here. This World is now entrusted to you."

Finally, showing them a stiff smile, Sean descended, and the Superhero suit symbolizing him slowly faded away.

Below, Rumlow, who had been called over in advance by Pierce, gasped upon hearing these words. Thankfully, the Officer had framed him and sent him to prison; otherwise, who could stand against such a hero?

"Homelander, we should go."

"Alright!"

Sean's words plunged everyone present into deep thought. Long after he had left, the scene remained silent.

It wasn't until the Avengers in front stood up, preparing to leave, that the reporters, like sharks smelling blood, swarmed forward.

"Mr. Stark! What's your view on Homelander's killing?"

"Captain Rogers, could you share your opinion?"

"Ms. Natasha, did you step forward today because of a close relationship with Homelander?"

"Also, is the rumor that you and Ms. Sif are at odds because you're both vying for Homelander's attention?"

"..."

At that moment, the Avengers were not in a good mood and had no time to deal with them. They all left one after another shortly after.

With no other choice, the reporters could only rush back to work overtime to publicize today's events.

Those who watched the live broadcast felt very distressed, unable to understand why Homelanderdidn't defend himself at all. If he had just spoken up, everyone would have believed him.

Online, a considerable number of people still spoke up for Homelander, saying he must have had a reason and was forced to admit to the incident.

These netizens who supported Homelander decided to gather and protest in front of the White House, refusing to believe that Homelander would remain in prison forever.

The World needed him. Without him, the other heroes were useless.

Pierce had naturally anticipated this public sentiment. To prevent the situation from deteriorating, he had made many arrangements.

Just five minutes after Homelander's sentencing concluded, someone posted a lengthy article praising America for doing the right thing, stating that Superheroes must also abide by the system, or the Worldwould descend into chaos.

A large number of celebrities and stars also came forward to take sides, saying that a murderer like Homelander should be grateful he wasn't sentenced to death, given his past deeds of saving Earth.

Unsurprisingly, these people were attacked and overwhelmed by Homelander's die-hard fans—his female fans.

They stood firmly on Homelander's side, believing that such a sunny and handsome young man couldn't possibly have done something so cruel.

However, when a group of people claiming to be Sean's ex-girlfriends began appearing online, the wind started to shift again.

These women's posts were very pitiable, with every word venting their inner grievances. They recounted in detail how Sean had abandoned them after becoming Homelander, even including accompanying pictures.

Soon, a traitor emerged among the female fans, claiming that Homelander had made inappropriate advances towards her on the day he delivered Christmas gifts, taking advantage of her family being away, and forbade her from speaking out.

Then, more self-proclaimed fans of Homelander came forward, saying he often invited them out to play and party.

Overnight, the matter of Homelander liking to 'fry rice noodles' became a confirmed fact, enraging these genuine female fans.

Why didn't he choose them? Were they not worthy?

After losing the support of the female fan group, there were hardly any voices left online speaking up for Homelander. What remained was a time of revelry for the small number of anti-fans.

Having single-handedly brought down Homelander from the top, Pierce felt a certain thrill.

Seeing that public opinion had already shifted, he ordered his people to withdraw and stop fanning the flames.

If those few women were harassed, Pierce believed Homelander would truly fly out.

"Hmph, fan service. Homelander, you were too blatant. You probably never expected to have a day like this, did you?"

On the screen in front of Pierce appeared three women: Christine, Gwen, and Daisy. They were all last year's prize-winning fans. Without even thinking, it was clear these three were Homelander's real women.

However, Pierce wasn't confident he could capture them without alerting Homelander, because they all wore that ring. As for the other woman who didn't wear one, she stayed with the God of Thunder's girlfriend every day, making it unnecessary to take the risk.

He walked to the balcony, looking at the beautiful night, knowing tonight would also be a sleepless one.

---

In the transport vehicle, there was only a driver and Rumlow. After all, escorting Homelander depended on his own willingness. If he didn't want to be in the vehicle, having more people would be useless.

Sean looked at the night scenery outside and asked, "What's your name?"

"Rumlow, Mr. Homelander."

"Open the door."

Gulp!

Rumlow swallowed, his pupils beginning to tremble, his hand slowly moving towards the communicator.

"S-sorry, sir, I c-can't..."

Sean glanced sideways at him, causing Rumlow to choke back the following words, not daring to utter them.

"Hail HYDRA."

Rumlow was stunned, then immediately plunged into ecstatic joy.

"Hail HYDRA! Officer, what are your orders!"

Sean smiled slightly, "Later, you continue along the original route as planned. As for me, I'll be imprisoned, and no one is allowed to visit. Understand?"

"Understood!" Rumlow said with fanatical determination.

He didn't harbor a single doubt, believing this was a plan jointly devised by Officer Pierce and OfficerBrooke. Especially the last part—no visits allowed—matched what was said before, completely flawless!

"Remember, it's best if only you know about this." Sean's gaze flicked towards the driver's seat.

Rumlow followed his gaze, instantly understanding, and nodded.

He opened the door again to let Sean leave, killed the person in the driver's seat, and then continued towards the super prison.

Hess Family Residence.

She was alone in the living room. The other four had gone to Daluo Heaven to carry out Sean's task. To prevent any mishaps, even Sif had gone over to help.

Hess sat on the sofa, anxiously pacing back and forth. Although Sean had explained the plan to her yesterday, she couldn't shake off her worry.

Click!

The sound of the front door opening rang out. Hess immediately looked back, and the heavy stone in her heart finally settled.

Sean happily spread his arms open. "I'm back."

Hess smiled knowingly and rushed over to hug him.

"Welcome home, dear."

Chapter 164: Millis Exposes Herself

The next morning, Millis went out wearing large sunglasses. As soon as she arrived downstairs at the company, a large number of reporters surrounded her.

"Ms. Rom, may I ask what your relationship is with Homelander? Are you a couple?"

"What is your take on Homelander pleading guilty yesterday?"

"We heard that Homelander is dating many women at the same time and likes eating fried rice noodles. Is that true?"

These reporters were naturally not stupid. Homelander would bring her to important occasions, and before he became Homelander, they were colleagues. If you said there was no relationship, who would believe it?

Originally, they wanted to find those three lucky fans and ask if Homelander had done... you know what, but they were warned by multiple parties not to harass innocent citizens, so they gave up and went to find Millis instead.

Looking at these ferocious-looking people, Millis couldn't believe she was actually in the same profession as them.

Just as the crowd was about to push forward, Millis slapped her right hand downward, and an Impactradiated outwards, blowing the entire crowd away.

She took off her sunglasses, revealing her red and swollen eyes, her tone very agitated.

"Listen to me, Sean does have many flaws. He can be a bit childish, temperamental, and even a bit of a player, but I am certain he is a good person!"

"And the thing I love most about him is that he loves me!"

After saying this, she stormed into the company, and no one dared to stop her along the way.

As soon as she got upstairs, she saw her father looking distressed. He saw his daughter coming over, but not knowing what had happened downstairs, he walked over and asked:

"Millis, what should we do? Should we distance ourselves from Sean..." Seeing his daughter's fierce gaze, Rom immediately changed his tone:

"If you don't agree, then forget it. All the newspapers outside are scolding him, one more doesn't matter. It's just the stock price, sigh, it hurts my heart to see it fall."

Shedding her usual weak demeanor, Millis addressed everyone: "We need to prepare a press release to speak up for Sean. Although we cannot find strong evidence, we must absolutely not leave him isolated and helpless!"

The people in the office were not very enthusiastic. Except for the old-timers, most of the newcomers didn't feel anything.

But Millis didn't care about that; she walked straight into her office, ready to use all her influence to help Sean.

She sat down in her chair, preparing to call all the media outlets she was on good terms with to turn the tide of public opinion together.

But at this moment, a pair of large hands tightly pinched her... cheeks, and gently pulled outward, giving her a huge fright.

"I knew you would make things worse. I waited for you in the office, but I didn't expect to be late, hmph!"

He had heard from upstairs that Millis had exposed their relationship in front of the reporters, which would probably cause another commotion.

After all, the combined credibility of that group of so-called "ex-girlfriends" was not as high as Millis's.

Since even she said Homelander was a player, then Homelander must really be a player, and the female haters' offensive became even more intense.

Hearing the familiar voice behind her, Millis couldn't believe it. She strained to look up and discovered it was actually Sean.

"Hmm~ I miss you so much. How did you get out? You didn't break out of prison, did you?"

The moment he let go, she stood up and threw herself into Sean's arms, hugging him tightly and not letting go, sobbing as she poured out her longing.

Seeing her like this, Sean couldn't bring himself to blame her for what she said downstairs, so he could only comfort her in a soft voice:

"Don't worry, I'm fine. However, you really guessed it right; I did break out of prison."

"Ah!" Millis looked up and exclaimed, then quickly covered her mouth, afraid of being heard outside.

Then she immediately took a file bag out of the drawer and handed it to Sean, saying anxiously: "This is most of my savings. Take it and leave quickly. Contact me once you find a new home, and then I will... Ouch!"

Sean helplessly tapped her with the file bag. "Can't you hope for something good for me? Am I really just a guy in your heart who is not only a player but also spends women's money?"

Millis looked up at him, unwilling to show weakness, and glanced at the bag nearby. "Isn't this gift the one you bought for me with the money you said you earned by accompanying a pretty little rich woman for three days?"

...She remembered that too. At the time, this bag was indeed bought with money from a pretty little rich woman. If the little rich woman hadn't secretly deleted his contacts while he was sleeping, he might have been able to play with her for a while longer.

"Heh, I'm not a Superhero right now, and you dare to talk back to me? I'll let you experience the consequences of talking back."

"Ah, here, Mmmph-mmph~"

Sean raised his hand, and nanobots covered the entire wall. Seeing this, Millis no longer held back and instantly increased her pace.

Just as she said, she loved Sean so much.

On the sofa, Sean was braiding the hair of Millis, who was on his lap, while explaining recent events to her.

"The people I killed in the video are not Earthlings, so you can rest easy now."

Millis's eyes curved into crescents, indicating she was very happy. As for why she wasn't smiling, it was naturally because her mouth was very busy.

"As for why I didn't defend myself, it's also because certain things that happened inside did indeed make me feel a bit guilty. Of course, that's not the main point. Do you remember what I said the morning after we left the President's banquet?"

Millis paused, stunned for a moment, then strained to look up at him. She thought about it, nodded, and made a few "hmm" sounds, *cough, cough~*

She remembered that that morning, Sean said that being a Superhero didn't feel very good, having to deal with such hypocritical occasions, it wasn't fun at all. It would be better to find time to retire and... hmm!

Thinking of this, Millis's eyes lit up. She slowly detached from the terrifying thing in front of her and asked with an expression of disbelief:

"Are you serious?"

"Of course!" Sean reached out to help relieve the soreness in her cheeks and continued: "I've wanted to retire for a long time!"

"I'm asking about the things you said afterwards." Millis looked at him nervously, her eyes full of anticipation.

"Uh..."

Seeing his conflicted expression, Millis knew he must have forgotten. She huffed, pouted, rolled her eyes at him, and lowered her head to continue.

This time, she was a bit resentful and used her teeth and hands.

Sean chuckled, tapped her on the head, looked out the window, and said in a seemingly casual manner:

"Oh, a new maternity and infant store opened over there. I wonder if a beautiful lady would be willing to go shopping with me in a few days?"

"Hmm!!! Oh, oh! *Cough, cough~*"

The way Millis stood up impatiently really made Sean very happy. As expected, his decision to retire and accompany them was indeed the right one.

It's just that the result Millis wants will take a while; he doesn't want it that early yet. However, they can try the process more often.

During the process, unlike before when her mind would go blank, this time, she bit her lip hard to keep a bit of consciousness to think.

What to name the boy, what to name the girl.
