Chapter 193: The Death of Max
In the forest on the outskirts of Sokovia, with the addition of the Iron Legion, the pressure on the Avengers was greatly reduced, and Bucky was also being suppressed with the help of Thor and the others.
The only one who had an accident was Barton; he was shot, but fortunately, it only grazed his waist. He was now lying with Pietro, receiving emergency treatment.
The moment he saw the Iron Legion, Max knew they had contacted the outside World, and his attacks became increasingly frantic.
He understood that if he didn't kill them before Sean arrived, it would be over.
A brand-new black and gold Armor appeared on Tony. Although he had already invented the Nano Suit, this Armor was his latest masterpiece.
It was jet-black, covered in gold stripes. These stripes could absorb most energy attacks and then condense them to fire back, which was very effective against enemies like Max.
On the night of the civil war, Tony had intended to use this Armor against Sean as well.
"Max, one last chance, put down the Mind Stone!"
"Dream on! I am the strongest!"
Max had completely lost his sanity; he clasped his hands together, and a massive lightning pillar shot towards Tony.
Tony didn't dodge. His Armor began to shift, and several mechanical petals appeared behind him, increasing the contact area.
Sure enough, the lightning pillar hit the Armor, not only failing to cause any damage to Tony but instead making his Armor shine even brighter.
"Thor, Wanda!"
Hearing Tony's call, the two understood what to do.
Red light flared in Wanda's hands, directly freezing Max in place. Thor also raised his hammer, and a bolt of lightning shot straight into Tony's back. With this energy support, Tony condensed a laser and blasted it at Max with full power.
Although held by Wanda's magic, Max wasn't panicked at all because lightning couldn't cause him damage; it could only charge him.
"Hahaha! Lightning is ineffective against me! I am lightning! I am lightning Ma... Uh."
The cracks on Max's body grew larger and larger, and the light inside became closer and closer to white, until the white light blinded them, and a roar rang in their ears!
Boom!
With Max as the center, a white spherical shockwave quickly spread outwards. He had been blown apart.
This shockwave was extremely powerful. Several HYDRA soldiers closest to the explosion point were directly blown to pieces. Hulk shielded the wounded, Steve shoved Bucky under him, using his shield and uniform to block, and the others also had protection, except for Wanda, who was standing a bit further away; no one had time to save her.
Wanda's hands stopped in mid-air, looking at the light in front of her, feeling completely powerless, just like that year when she and her brother hid under the bed, watching that missile.
"Is this it? Am I going to die?"
Just as she prepared to close her eyes and face death, a broad figure stood in front of her and pulled her into his arms.
The roar of the explosion stopped, and a yellow Mind Stone slowly fell in mid-air, landing in Sean's palm.
"Sorry, can someone explain the current situation?" Sean asked coldly.
Sean was very angry, and Wanda, in his arms, also felt a hint of his rage.
Of course, this was an illusion. Sean had seen the scene of their battle from afar and slowed down his speed; otherwise, how could he have just happened to save Wanda?
He only knew why they had notified him after seeing the Mind Stone on Max's chest, and he became interested.
Max's own ability was very strong, but his only weakness was that he couldn't generate energy himself and could only rely on external forces to store it.
And the Mind Stone happened to make up for this weakness, and could even make his body transparent, directly avoiding physical attacks and reaching a kind of minor invincibility.
Therefore, Sean really wanted to see if Tony and the others could solve Max, so he just watched from the side for a little while.
Recent events had made Sean somewhat disappointed with the Avengers. If they couldn't even solve an aircraft carrier, how could he rest assured about handing Thanos over to them in the future? How could he rest assured about staying in the Garden to enjoy life in the future?
Thinking this, Sean didn't intervene, preparing to wait until someone died before going over; it didn't matter which side died.
Of course, it was best if Max died. Although he was obedient, the tone he used just now reminded Sean of himself. This World couldn't hold two Homelanders.
The others felt much more relaxed after seeing Sean arrive, lying on the ground and gasping for air.
Tony didn't explain either, sitting on the ground and pulling up the recorded video of the Armor.
After watching what happened, Sean sighed heavily and said regretfully: "Let's not talk about Max's matter for now. When a bad guy appears later, I want to give him a hero's treatment."
The group didn't object to this proposal; they were also very sorry about Max's death.
He didn't die at the hands of the enemy, but at the hands of his own people. It was definitely a tragedy.
Sean's proposal was just so that Max's death wouldn't affect his election; even a little bit wouldn't do.
Before long, Coulson also arrived in a fighter jet to support them.
Inside the cabin, the atmosphere was very low, and everyone had a look of defeat.
Too many people had died in the HYDRA incident, and now, even Max, who had fought side by side for a long time, was dead.
"Hmph, heroes, Avengers, what exactly have we protected?" Tony asked the group, but no one answered him.
If Tony had said something like this before, Steve and the others would definitely have stood up to counsel him and told him many principles, but now, they were thinking the same thing.
Seeing their dejected appearance, Sean understood what they were thinking and knew he had to get them to perk up to meet tougher challenges.
Otherwise, how could he enjoy himself in the Garden with peace of mind?
Sean was actually quite satisfied with them this time; they were able to solve a Mind Stone possessor, which was roughly equivalent to a complete Ultron. It was already very good.
"Coulson, how is the investigation of that matter going?" Sean asked.
"Collection is complete. Should we watch it now?"
"Yeah, if I don't give this group some confidence, they won't even be able to enjoy the farewell party in a few days."
The others looked at Thor. The farewell party was something the Avengers had discussed, planning to throw a party for him, but now that this had happened, was there any need to hold it?
A projection appeared between them and started playing.
"My name is Kate, my name is Karin, my name is..."
In the video, people of all ages were present, and their occupations were strange and varied; there was even a beggar.
Tony and the others looked at each other, not understanding the significance of this video, but soon, they saw countless bullet holes appearing on the screen.
"Look! There are three bullets in the wall. If there had been one more, I would be dead."
"I walked out of the public restroom and only then discovered traces of bullets on the wall. The target was my head."
"This bullet that hit the utility pole—if I had walked two more steps while patrolling, it would have hit my head."
The video was still long, and Sean also spoke: "These are all targets of the Insight Project. They were judged to be obstacles to HYDRA in the future, but if you had been a second late, they would also be dead."
Watching the smiling faces in the video thanking the Avengers, they smiled slightly and regained some spirit.
"We can feel sad, upset, or even guilty for those who have died."
"But we must also convert this emotion into strength to face more powerful enemies. If even you lose confidence, then who else can protect them?"
Sean's passionate words struck a chord, and their dejected feelings mostly vanished.
Only the living need to endure pain, and they still have to work hard for the living.
However, precisely because the dejection disappeared and reason regained the high ground, Natashawas the first to notice something was wrong with these words.
"What about you, Sean?"
Hearing Natasha's question, the others realized it too. Even if they fell, wouldn't there still be Sean and Carol?
In that speech just now, he seemed to have not counted himself in.
Sean shrugged indifferently and said: "I'm not a hero, you are!"
"My current task is to discover more heroes to protect this World and protect these heroes from being affected by messy things."
"In the future, unless it's a last resort, I won't take action. Just like Carol. If you only want to rely on me, then you will never be able to grow up."
Simply put, he was lazy.
Chapter 194: Welcome Back, Sergeant Barnes
Seeing the atmosphere had eased a bit, Sean took the Mind Stone out of the box, tapped Bucky on the chest with the scepter, and broke HYDRA's control over him.
A flood of memories surged into Bucky's mind, causing him to collapse on the ground in pain, breaking into a cold sweat.
Steve stepped forward, crouched down, and patted him comfortingly: "It's all over, Bucky."
"I... I think I had a very, very long nightmare," Bucky murmured, though he knew deep down that everything he had done was real.
"Welcome back, Sergeant Barnes. I look forward to your continued service to the country," Sean said, reaching out to pull him up.
Bucky's eyes darted away. "I did a lot of wrong things. I killed many innocent people."
"That wasn't you, Bucky!" Steve gripped his shoulders, saying excitedly: "That was HYDRA controlling you. It has nothing to do with you, right, Sean?"
Sean smiled faintly and shrugged. "Of course. While under control, you were just a weapon, like a firearm. The law doesn't blame the weapon."
"If weapons were to be held accountable, then after I become President, the first one I'd arrest would be Stark."
"Hey, I'm an arms dealer who realized his mistakes," Tony joked, glancing apologetically at Wanda.
Although those weapons had nothing to do with him, they were manufactured by Stark after all, so he felt a little guilty—just a little, of course.
Listening to them clear Bucky of suspicion with such lighthearted banter, Steve was moved to the point of tears.
Ever since Carter passed away, he thought there was no one left in this World he could trust. He never expected that Heaven would not only return his best brother but also introduce him to the Avengers. It was truly the best reward for all his efforts in the first half of his life.
Seeing them laugh, Sean felt much better. If nothing else, at least the party would be fun. After all, who doesn't like parties?
After a short flight, they returned to Stark Tower.
Doctor Helen Zhao from Seoul performed surgery on Pietro and Barton, with Natasha and Wandastanding nearby.
And Sean, who was being held tightly by Wanda.
"Is my brother okay?"
"He's fine. Just a small charred patch on his arm. The nano-molecules will quickly repair the damaged area, and he'll be as good as new." Helen Zhao said, stealing glances at Sean.
Noticing this busty woman holding onto Sean, her gossipy side kicked in, wondering if this was Homelander's new girlfriend.
The news that Homelander was a scumbag was known worldwide, but this didn't hurt his popularity; instead, it soared even higher, gaining him a significant number of male fans.
They kept sending photos of beautiful celebrities to Sean on Facebook, asking him to "move a few more times" for them.
"How are they?" Tony asked as he walked to the door.
"Barton is still just Barton; he didn't gain any superpowers."
"Oh, that's too bad."
Sean and Tony joked around Barton, and Natasha couldn't help but stand up for her friend.
"Don't be like that. He's the only ordinary person among us, and he's helped us draw a lot of fire online."
"Nat, you've learned to be mean," Barton said with a fake crying face, then laughed.
Those around them laughed too. It was good that they were okay; they didn't want to suffer the pain of losing friends again.
Tony's eyes darted around. After hesitating for a long time, he asked: "Sean, can I examine the scepter? Just, a simple check."
This made everyone present frown. Sean knew exactly what he wanted to do and had no intention of stopping him.
"Sure, but you can't put the Stone on your chest to check it," Sean said, issuing a warning as if it were a joke.
Tapping the blue triangle on his chest, Tony smiled: "I like my own Stone."
"Go ahead."
"Thanks!"
Tony walked calmly out of the infirmary. As he left, he gave Banner a wink, then quickened his pace, like a little kid who had just been given permission to go play.
"Aren't you worried..." Natasha glanced at them with some concern.
"Don't worry, he'll know his limits."
Because the birth of Ultron was important for Sean's future plans, and with the Mind Stone in his own hands, Ultron wouldn't have any chance to steal it.
A gemless Ultron—humph, he's nothing.
Sean moved his right hand and whispered in Wanda's ear: "Are you sweating?"
Wanda looked guiltily at the others. Finding they hadn't heard, she gave a soft "um," and then was led away by Sean.
After the two of them left, Helen Zhao asked in a feigned casual tone: "Uh, is this Sean's new girlfriend?"
Natasha was experienced enough; hearing her address Sean directly, how could she not know what she meant?
"Wanda will likely be a new Avenger. Sean usually guides her in using her superpowers."
"Is that so~" Helen Zhao quickly lowered her head to look at the data, unable to hide the smile on her lips.
"We're having a party on Saturday night. Would you like to come?" Natasha asked.
Helen Zhao hesitated for a moment, her eyes darting outside. "Sean... cough, are you all... are you all attending?"
"Of course!"
---
After cleaning the stains off Wanda, Sean headed to the Secret Garden.
Originally, Sean wanted to use the island to cover the real Garden and build entertainment facilities inside.
But now that he had cleaned up his act and his reputation was getting better and better, there would even be more beautiful girls coming to the island voluntarily to visit and see the real Homelander.
This made the secret space inside seem somewhat redundant and completely unnecessary, which left Sean feeling quite frustrated, especially since he had planned to be a dictator.
However, thinking of the scene after this place was built, Sean thought, "Tsk, worth it!"
You have to know, the island is full of water facilities, and it doesn't welcome males.
Inside the Secret Garden, the original huts of the Tarot People had all been demolished in preparation for building a palace, but plans couldn't keep up with changes, so it was shelved.
Walking over to Dice, he asked: "How is it?"
"The number of all animals has been tallied, including their preferences and habits."
The construction plan was shelved, but the breeding plan was still ongoing.
"That's good. Once the outside is built, let's release a batch of docile animals." Sean smiled as he looked over everything here.
It looked like the palace could be built outside.
"By the way, Sean, what about these black ones?"
"Hmm... I'm not building anything inside anymore, and they have no use. Kill them. Remember to throw them out; don't pollute the environment inside."
Previously, in order to build the Secret Garden, Hess had brought in quite a few.
Hearing these words, the eyes of this group of people held no fear, but rather, were filled with relief.
Chapter 195: The Birth of Ultron
Saturday night, party night.
Many invited guests were here drinking, dancing, chatting, and bragging; the atmosphere was very joyous.
Rhodes was boasting about his War Machine to three of the most powerful Superheroes, but halfway through, he felt awkward himself.
But out of respect for Tony, Sean and Thor didn't laugh out loud.
"Why am I telling you all this? Never mind, where is Pepper? Did she not come?" Rhodes asked.
Hill, who was nearby, also asked, "Where is Jane? Where did all the ladies go? Could it be that besides me, everyone here is Sean's girl?"
Sean smiled and said, "I don't mind saving a spot for you."
The other two awkwardly took a sip of their drinks, "Pepper has to manage the company; she's very busy, so she didn't come."
"Jane probably went to... uh, a country I don't know."
"Hmm? I know where she went." Sean smirked, "Let me think, Jane should be at... New York, Stark Tower, right behind you."
Thor was stunned. He turned around and saw Jane standing by the railing in a beautiful evening gown, looking at them.
"Sean, you... you..."
"Don't 'you' me. Why don't you go over? Are you waiting for someone else to hit on her?"
Hearing this, Thor quickly put down his glass and walked toward Jane. Because he really saw someone preparing to approach her, in his haste, he completely forgot that they had broken up.
Glancing at them, Tony suddenly whispered, "If you called Pepper here too, you can tell me now!"
"Heh, I really didn't." Sean left the lonely Tony behind and walked toward Daisy.
Jane was just a bonus; the person he had invited was Daisy.
She didn't live in America and was often traveling around the World, so it was hard to find a chance to ask her out.
"Hi, long time no see."
"It hasn't been that long, it's only been a few months." Daisy pouted, a little afraid that their relationship had grown distant.
"Sixty-nine days."
"What?"
Sean pretended to be indifferent and added, "Sixty-nine days since we last met."
Daisy was stunned. She hadn't expected Sean to be keeping track of the time since they last parted. Was she really that unforgettable to Sean?
He did miss her a little, but it wasn't exactly "unforgettable." Calculating the time wasn't hard; he just had to ask Hess, as she had the call logs between them.
Sean sighed disappointedly again, "I've been here for twenty seconds, and you haven't kissed me yet. Sigh, never mind, it looks like our feelings have indeed faded."
"Ah!" Daisy exclaimed. The crowd was moving all around them, and she was worried about the negative impact on Sean.
But she suddenly realized, "Wait, that's not right. I'm a fan too; why did I put myself in the role of a girlfriend? Damn it."
Daisy shook her head and stopped hesitating. She wrapped her arms around Sean's neck and jumped onto him, excitedly saying, "I'm going to kiss you sixty-nine times!"
Their embrace and kiss drew applause from nearby, and no one found it strange at all.
The cheers from the second floor caught the attention of those below. Helen Zhao, who was by the bar, also looked up, feeling a bit lost.
"Go ahead, Sean likes proactive girls." Natasha, standing behind the bar, handed her a drink.
Helen Zhao quickly lowered her head, "No... no thanks."
She was indeed a fan of Homelander, and after hearing his speech, she had fantasized about some unrealistic things.
But in reality, she was still quite reserved; at the very least, she wouldn't actively throw herself at him.
"Dr. Banner, aren't you going to walk around? Not everyone here belongs to Sean, for example, that person over there." Natasha said, gesturing to the side.
Banner smiled relaxedly and turned his head without a care, wanting to see who Natasha was going to introduce to him. When he looked, he was stunned.
"Be... Betty? Why is she here too?"
"Hill invited her. Although her father and Sean are competitors, they still have to keep up appearances. They couldn't exactly invite General Ross."
"By the way, we didn't invite her boyfriend. If you don't go, you won't have another chance." Natashatempted him.
Banner looked at the glass in his hand, which reflected Betty's figure. He shook his head, "No. She has a new life, and I shouldn't be a part of it."
After saying this, he walked in the opposite direction with a lonely expression.
Since he had decided to let go, they shouldn't meet again. This was better for both of them.
Betty was chatting with some researchers and naturally saw Banner. Their thoughts were very similar, and neither of them went over.
Moreover, she was also avoiding Sean, fearing that he might do something inappropriate at a time like this; at the very least, not here.
By the sofa, when Millis saw Daisy, her alarm bells went off instantly. Fortunately, Hess told her they only met once every few months, so she didn't get too agitated.
The main thing was that Millis realized that the things she was most proud of were vulnerable in front of that woman.
Wanda, who was sitting opposite them, let her gaze wander between the three of them, not knowing what she was thinking.
That day, Sean stood in front of her, providing a strong sense of security, which made Wanda grow a bit fond of that feeling.
On the other side, Pietro and Barton had finished their treatment and were playing billiards with Steveand the others around the pool table.
"Hey, Pietro, even if you cheated, we wouldn't be able to tell."
"Don't worry, I have Hawkeye, I'll definitely be able to spot it." After Barton said this, he kept staring at Pietro, causing a burst of laughter from those around them.
Pietro curled the corner of his mouth, "Is that so?"
With a single shot, all the balls fell into the pockets. The crowd only felt a gust of wind; they couldn't tell at all that he had just left his spot.
Steve patted Barton and laughed, "Does the eagle's eye see anything?"
"What? I blinked just now." Barton blinked vigorously, pretending he hadn't seen anything.
This action made everyone laugh again.
After this battle, Barton, who hadn't communicated much before, opened up and was able to joke around with them.
"Oh~ the World of the Avengers is truly crazy." Sam Wilson sighed.
He met Steve while jogging, and he hadn't expected Steve to invite him to such a lavish party.
"You could become an Avenger too; we are currently recruiting." Steve smiled.
"Then I'll have to consider whether to ditch my boring and uninteresting job to go save the World with you guys."
Sam knew that Steve was talking about auxiliary members, but in his heart, he really wanted to fight side-by-side with them!
Bucky stood to the side like a statue, full of worries. Only when he saw Steve making friends could he smile slightly.
As his memories returned, he recalled many things, and also how many missions he had carried out and how many good people he had killed.
---
The atmosphere upstairs was very lively, and no one noticed that a new life was quietly being born downstairs.
It wasn't Sean; he and Daisy were outside the house.
"Where is this?"
"Hello, I am Jarvis. You are Ultron, the Guardian of Earth's peace designed by Mr. Stark."
"I am a peace-keeping program, born to help the Avengers?"
"For... our... peace?"
Chapter 196: Excuse me, do you have any other plans to destroy the Earth?
The banquet ended, and the guests left one after another. Daisy left, looking satisfied, completely oblivious to the resentful expression on Jane's face beside her.
Once most of the people had left, Sean and the others sat around on the sofa, drinking and listening to Thor boast about how powerful his hammer was.
Wanda and Natasha sat on either side of Sean, watching their noisy interactions, feeling a sense of warmth.
Both of them had lost their original families long ago, and only here could they feel a glimmer of what home was like.
"I think you're lying. Ah, 'Whoever is worthy shall possess the power of Thor'—that doesn't sound real at all," Barton said with a laugh, questioning him.
"No, no, no, I'm not lying to you. If you don't believe me, you can try." Thor said nonchalantly, then suddenly glanced at Sean and added, "Ahem, being strong enough can also lift it, but you won't gain the power of Thor."
His words made everyone laugh even more, thinking he was making excuses for the hammer; just in case someone managed to lift it later, he could claim they were just too strong.
"Really? Then I won't be polite." Barton wouldn't back down.
Tony cupped his hands around his mouth as if shouting, and whispered, "Clinton, you've already had a hard week. Even if you can't lift it, we won't laugh at you."
Barton gripped the hammer handle with confidence, using all his strength until his face twisted, but he still couldn't lift it.
Facing the group's teasing, Barton told Tony to come over and try it himself.
Watching them one after another with constipated expressions, Sean and the others laughed heartily. Thor stood up proudly, gave a small flick of his hand, and the hammer flew into his grasp.
"Stop doubting. Not only are you not worthy, but you're also not strong enough. Hahaha."
"Boo~" The group jeered, then burst into laughter, the harmonious atmosphere making them all feel comfortable.
But just at that moment, a piercing sound of electrical interference cut through everyone's ears, making many of them feel uncomfortable.
A heavily damaged mechanical soldier walked out. After turning and seeing the Avengers, it suddenly displayed emotions of anger, just like a human.
"What right do you have to laugh here? What right do you have to talk about peace? You are all murderers!"
Steve quietly shifted his position and gave a warning: "Stark!"
Before he could be reminded, Tony was already calling for Jarvis, but there was no response. Even manually rebooting the mechanical legion's program didn't work.
The mechanical soldier's mind seemed a bit chaotic, and it kept muttering to itself. It sounded a bit... talkative, and its tone was very much like Stark.
"Who sent you?" Thor gripped his hammer and asked sternly.
Suddenly, Tony's voice emanated from the mechanical soldier's body.
"I want to put a suit of Armor around the World."
Banner reacted immediately, looking at Tony, and prompted: "Ultron?"
"Uh, that is I. Oh, no, that's not right, I haven't fully formed yet. However, are you ready? Execute mission!"
Everyone present sensed that something was wrong. Hill's gun was already loaded; as the former Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., her combat ability was not weak.
"What mission?"
"Peace, our peace!"
After Ultron finished this sentence, a large number of iron soldiers rushed out, attacking everyone, and the scene became extremely chaotic.
There was even a soldier that tried to take the Mind Stone during the chaos; this object was actually Ultron's target.
However, Sean ignored the other soldiers, instead rising slowly and walking in front of Ultron, carefully examining it.
"Interesting thing."
Ultron's eyes were flashing; it was reading the data of the person in front of it.
"Sean Brooke, Homelander! The strongest Avenger in the World. If I don't eliminate you, the Worldcannot truly have peace."
Sean smiled playfully. He hadn't expected Ultron to use a pile of incorrect information to arrive at the most correct conclusion.
Indeed, if there were no Homelander in this World, it would probably be much more peaceful.
"Sean! The scepter!" Steve shouted.
Sean turned his head and saw a blue and white mechanical soldier holding the scepter, preparing to run away. He immediately fired a Heat Vision blast.
The soldier controlled by Ultron blocked with the scepter in front of its chest, and then, using the conclusion it had just analyzed, arranged for soldiers to attack Helen Zhao.
In its database, as long as Helen Zhao was in danger, Homelander would definitely go to save her.
But the only problem was that in Ultron's database, it didn't know how powerful Heat Vision was.
The Heat Vision made contact with the scepter for three seconds, melting it into two pieces and turning the iron soldier into molten metal along with it.
The moment the gem fell, Pietro caught it, then quickly came to Sean's side and handed it to him.
Pietro had seen the miserable state Max was in after touching the gem before, so he didn't dare hold it for even a second longer.
After getting the gem, Sean heard screams coming from the second floor, so he ignored the Ultron in front of him and flew straight up.
Seeing Helen Zhao crouching under the piano, he immediately used a Heat Vision blast to take out the iron soldier, then helped her up from the ground, smiling and saying:
"Doctor, you can play the piano?"
Helen Zhao, flustered, threw herself into Sean's arms and nodded subconsciously.
Holding her, he walked to the railing and looked down, firing several Heat Vision blasts in succession to clear out all the iron soldiers. Only the one in the air remained, because Steve was clinging to its back.
"It's safe now, Doctor."
At this moment, Helen Zhao realized she was being held in Sean's arms. She froze for a brief moment, then pressed herself even closer, the corners of her mouth curling up involuntarily.
Hearing Sean speak, she let out an "ah," stepped back two paces, and awkwardly tidied her hair.
Steve, up in the air, used both hands to finish it off and fell to the ground; only then did Sean prepare to go down.
Before he even landed, he heard a voice from behind him: "Next... next time, I can play for you."
"I look forward to it," Sean said softly.
Hearing this, Helen Zhao smiled knowingly and quickly followed him down the stairs.
The soldiers in the room had been cleared, but Ultron didn't care at all; it simply stared at Sean and the gem in his pocket.
"Hmm, very dramatic, isn't it? Sorry, I know you mean well, you just haven't figured out one thing."
"You want to protect the World, but you don't want it to change. How can you possibly save the World? By relying on this pile of scrap metal?"
"No, it's impossible. There is only one way to achieve peace: your extinction."
After Ultron finished saying this, it was smashed to pieces by Thor's hammer, scattering all over the floor.
Looking at the parts on the ground, a dark cloud gathered in everyone's hearts. They understood that this thing called Ultron had already escaped, left through the network, and might never be caught again.
Thinking that a powerful artificial intelligence was lurking on the internet, waiting for the opportunity to destroy humanity, they couldn't help but shudder.
Sean took a deep breath, sneered, turned to look at everyone, and asked:
"Excuse me, do you have any other secret, evil plans to destroy the Earth?"
Chapter 197: Tony's Breakdown
Below the living room, inside the laboratory, everyone was gathered around a damaged yellow sphere.
Seeing this, they finally understood who Ultron meant when he said he had killed someone.
Jarvis, Tony's artificial intelligence.
Many people here knew Jarvis; in fact, most of the time, it was Jarvis who connected them, and they all liked this polite companion.
But as for who had the best relationship with Jarvis, there was no doubt—it was certainly Tony.
In fact, it was precisely because he missed this butler that he set the voice of his artificial intelligence to sound like Jarvis.
Now, Jarvis's data had completely vanished and could never be recovered; even if he created another identical artificial intelligence, it would not be the Jarvis from before.
"Tony, do you have nothing to say?" Sean asked.
"Heh, an explanation?"
Under immense pressure, Tony also broke down and laughed uncontrollably.
He faced Sean directly. "You're asking me for an explanation?"
"Fine, indeed, you are the most powerful Avenger, you are the Captain! You are the commander! You could stroll through the Chitauri, who were many times stronger than Earth, and wipe them out as if you were just taking a walk!"
"You know what? Facing the sky full of alien armies, I thought this was the most powerful enemy I could face—any stronger and I wouldn't be able to handle it. But back then, what did you say?"
Tony slowly walked to the center and, mimicking Sean's tone, said:
"Oh! This is just the enemy's vanguard; they're no different from small fry."
"Heh, listen to that—no different from small fry. The strongest enemy we could handle is, in your eyes, just small fry."
The others glanced at Sean, who gave them a reassuring look. That put them at ease, and they quietly let Tony speak, allowing him to vent the emotions that had been building up inside him.
Tony didn't care about anything anymore; he had broken down anyway.
"Of course! That doesn't matter either. It's great to have you standing in front of us. Even a prideful, arrogant person like me would place my hope in you, thinking you could handle everything. When encountering danger, I'd be just like an ordinary person, shouting at the sky: Homelander! Help!"
Tony clapped his hands, looked around with a smile, and said, "Simple? It's very simple!"
After laughing, Tony's face immediately fell. He braced his hands on the table, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
"That night on my birthday, I saw the sky over New York full of aliens. You were all dead at my feet, Sean was blown to pieces by a cannon blast, and a squad of alien soldiers was charging at me."
"And me, hmph, I was still wearing the Mark 1, shouting for help: Help! Is anyone coming to save me? Sean, Sean, where are you? Hahaha!"
This laughter made everyone feel heavy; they hadn't expected him to be under such immense pressure all this time.
Tony let out a long sigh, his emotions gradually stabilizing. He looked at Sean and said softly:
"Combined with that night, when I saw your eyes turn red, I finally truly understood that protecting peace can only be done by oneself!"
After speaking his heart, Tony relaxed completely, even managing a genuine smile.
"But the program you designed is going to destroy humanity," Helen Zhao said directly.
She wouldn't coddle Tony, especially when he was pointing at Sean.
Tony frowned, trying to explain, "No, I didn't design it. We hadn't even finished it! We hadn't even performed any operations..."
"It was me! It was my fault!"
Everyone looked toward the source of the voice. It was Wanda. Somehow, she had also broken down, sobbing quietly in Sean's arms.
"It has nothing to do with you. Maybe, probably, perhaps I completed a part of it," Tony said immediately. He didn't want others to blame themselves because of his problems.
But his words didn't make Wanda feel any better; instead, she cried even louder, and her powers even showed signs of spiraling out of control.
Natasha frowned, having clearly noticed something, and asked, "Wanda, did you also... to Max..."
"Yeah!"
Wanda did not deny it and recounted what she had done after fleeing Sean's home that day.
Now, Sean, Max, and Tony—the three people influenced by Wanda—had all encountered trouble.
"Could it just be a coincidence? She also influenced Millis," Sean said, hugging her tighter and defending her.
Natasha said quietly, "Millis exposed your heroic deeds in front of the media."
"Uh..." Sean stopped talking.
Indeed, given Millis's personality, she shouldn't have done something like that; it was likely that her mood had been affected by Wanda's magic.
Every sentence and every word the others spoke felt like a knife stabbing into Wanda's heart.
So, it was all her fault.
Pietro looked very anxious on the side, but he didn't know where to start defending her.
Feeling Wanda sobbing in his arms, Sean hugged her tighter and comforted her softly:
"Alright, since it has already happened, we just need to do our best to make up for it. Besides, nothing has gone wrong yet, so there is no need to blame yourself."
"..."
The others looked at Tony with sympathetic eyes.
When Tony made a mistake, Sean criticized him righteously without any mercy, and even lost his temper at them a little.
When Wanda made a mistake, Sean comforted her thoughtfully and gently, without any temper, and instead helped explain for her.
The difference between people is indeed huge.
However, after Wanda's outburst, the atmosphere was not as tense as before. Since the incident had already occurred, the priority was to find a solution.
"Wanda, do you have any other, uh..." Natasha looked at the others, her meaning obvious.
Wanda did not look up; she reached out a hand from Sean's arms and pointed at Thor and Steve. The others immediately looked at the two with alert eyes.
"Ahem, you two, do you want to talk about what you saw?"
The two looked at each other and did not hide anything; indeed, nothing had happened to them.
Thor said he saw his companions from Asgard and felt that the scepter contained an Infinity Stone, so he was very concerned about it and planned to go back to ask his father about the stone.
Steve was a bit embarrassed, but he still said he saw Peggy and returned to the time when they were dancing.
After listening to their accounts, Tony was even less happy.
Oh, so it turns out he was the only one worried about the World's safety?
Sean coughed lightly. "Since it has already happened, let's not dwell on whose fault it is. Let's focus on resolving Ultron. Dr. Banner, this time you are more useful than Hulk."
"Heh, I'm honored." Banner laughed awkwardly twice. If he hadn't also participated in the creation of Ultron, he definitely would have retorted a couple of times.
Sean's words were correct, but it would have been better if he hadn't been hugging Wanda while saying them.
It was Natasha who understood Sean, quickly saying, "Yes, think about how an artificial intelligence would actually exterminate humanity."
"Electromagnetic waves? Launching nuclear missiles? Or publishing browsing history?"
Having calmed down, Tony's brain was racing. He tapped a few times on the screen, then suddenly clenched his fist in distress.
"Although I don't know how Ultron will exterminate humanity, you must be careful when you go out, because he has also taken control of the Iron Legion ships and Veronica."
"On board, there are two black hole bombs."
Chapter 198: Sorcerer Ancient One, are you... dying?
Sean stopped worrying about Ultron. An enemy wandering the internet was something even he couldn't deal with.
Leave professional matters to professionals; that was the reason he was training the Avengers.
Of course, Sean wasn't idle; he was doing his own professional work.
At the top of Stark Tower, having understood the ins and outs of the matter, Wanda was plunged into deep self-reproach, unable to pull herself out for a moment. At this time, she needed Sean to counsel her.
Embracing the heartbroken Wanda, the two stood in the breeze, watching the moon.
"Wanda, you don't have to participate in this matter with Ultron. It would be good to take a rest. You are still young and shouldn't have to bear these heavy burdens. Just leave it to them."
Wanda rubbed against his chest and shook her head. "I want to participate. I want to make up for my mistakes."
"Is that so? Although, I don't think these things are your fault." Sean stroked her hair gently. "But if dealing with Ultron makes you feel better, then give it your all."
"Ultron wants to destroy humanity. If you deal with it, that would mean saving the World. Everything that happened before can be wiped clean, right?"
"Ca... can it?" Wanda was a bit unsure of herself.
Sean extended his pinky finger. "I am the President; if I say it can, it can. Let's make a pinky promise. It's settled: after this matter is over, you cannot continue to be sad. You must face your future life properly."
"Whether you want to live an ordinary life or become an Avenger, it's all fine. As long as it is a choice you like yourself."
My choice?
She looked at Sean, slowly extended her pinky, and hooked it onto his. "Mm!"
Wanda had actually always been very lost in her heart. It was fine when she had hatred before, focused only on killing Stark to take revenge.
However, after reconciling, she didn't know what to do, as if her life had lost its goal and she had no direction to move forward.
But now it was different. Sean had lit a lamp for her, giving her a direction to move forward. The empty feeling in her heart instantly vanished without a trace, filled by him.
Seeing her finally smile, Sean felt much better. A Wanda who hadn't turned dark was still beautiful and gentle.
"Alright, let's go down. Although we can't understand what they are saying, we should still go and pretend to understand, and just nod."
Downstairs, Tony and Banner were constantly chatting about databases, network groups, Lycos, and other technical jargon. Others could chime in from time to time, but Sean had absolutely no interest.
As they rose, Wanda suddenly grabbed Sean's hand, looked up at him, and felt a bit shy. "I don't have confidence in dealing with Ultron. Do you want to accompany me to practice... magic?"
"Mm... I can accompany you to practice all night!"
Facts proved that using magic frequently could indeed lead to faster mastery, just like with Wanda.
Tonight, her eyes lit up many times, but her magic never went out of control once; it was all steadily controlled by her and remained within her body.
---
The next day at noon, Tony and the others, who had been busy all night, seemed to have found a clue and set off with them.
After giving Sean one last kiss, Wanda followed them and left.
Sean didn't go. After seeing that he still had a Mind Stone in his pocket, he decided he had to find a container for it first; otherwise, he felt like he couldn't suppress the fire.
Mm! It must be the stone's fault, nothing to do with him!
177 Bleecker Street. Passersby hurried past, and no one would think that this old house was one of the Sanctums guarding Earth.
Knock, knock!
"Is anyone home?"
This time, Sean waited for a while before he felt the Ancient One pulling him over.
"Why are you here again?"
The Ancient One stood in the shadows, not having prepared a sofa and tea like last time, and hadn't even turned on the lights.
Sean didn't think much of it; it wasn't just a day or two that the Ancient One had disliked him.
He took out the stone and slapped it on the table. "Nothing much, helping it find a home."
The Ancient One tilted her head slightly, took a glance, and showed no surprise, saying indifferently: "This place is not suitable for storing it, but if you have no way to solve it, I can help you send it away."
Kamar-Taj having the Time Stone was enough; it wasn't suitable to have one more Mind Stone.
"Tch, in your dreams." Sean said disdainfully: "I'm asking you to find me a container to hold it. The original scepter is broken."
After a moment of silence, the Ancient One shook her head. "I don't have the container you want here. If you don't want the stone's energy to overflow, just put it in an uninhabited place."
The Ancient One did not intend to help Sean. The last time she helped, it was because that space really would have affected the safety of Earth.
This time, it was just that the stone had no container; it couldn't harm the outside World, nor could it affect Kamar-Taj.
From beginning to end, the Ancient One never wanted Sean and Kamar-Taj to be too deeply involved.
Sean frowned, sensing that the Ancient One's attitude was a bit off; her guard against him seemed to be even heavier.
In the darkness, neither of them spoke again, and the atmosphere was a bit tense.
Suddenly, the Ancient One's calm-as-water expression had a ripple, because she saw Sean's mouth curl up, and his eyes were even a bit red.
If it were just that, the Ancient One wouldn't have any worries. Even if Sean had the Mind Stone, if they fought, she wouldn't have any fear. However, he opened his mouth and asked a question:
"Sorcerer Ancient One, are you... dying?"
This sentence made the Ancient One think of a lot, and she looked at Sean with a puzzled expression. "How exactly did you see the timeline?"
Hearing her answer, Sean smiled even more happily. No wonder she wasn't carrying the eye of agamotto.
"Hehe, you don't need to worry about that. Now, is it time for you to beg me?"
"Why? I can also choose not to die." The Ancient One said calmly.
Sean sneered. "You can, but will you?"
The Ancient One would definitely die, because she had seen countless timelines and knew at which point in time it was best to die; a little earlier or a little later would not do.
Moreover, she had lived for so long and was long tired of facing endless trouble every day. This was also why Kamar-Taj remained isolated from the World.
Otherwise, every time there was trouble, people from the outside would beg for help here, and she would be worked to death.
On this point, the Ancient One was actually a little bit like Sean.
After determining the new Sorcerer Supreme, she discovered that her mission was over. She finally threw off the shackles of time and gained a bit of peace.
The Ancient One, who possessed the Time Stone, knew very well that she had no future.
After a long silence, the Ancient One sighed softly, and the lights around them turned on.
"Follow me."
A portal appeared behind her, and she turned around, signaling Sean to follow.
The reason the Ancient One didn't want to bring Sean into Kamar-Taj was simple; there was nothing else to it, just that she didn't want him to wreak havoc on the sorcerers inside.
But now, for the sake of the Sorcerer Supreme, she could only let them be a little more careful.
Chapter 199 "Motivating" Doctor Strange
Kamar-Taj, located at the southern end of the Himalayas, is a secret realm undiscovered by ordinary people, much like Sean's Secret Garden.
The architectural style here is very ordinary, all built from stacks of red bricks and covered in ivy; there is nothing special about it.
Whether compared to Asgard or Wakanda, it doesn't look like an ancient holy land of magic.
The sorcerers coming and going don't wear robes either, just coarse cloth garments. When they see the Ancient One, they all greet her with a Strange gesture.
However, when they see Sean, their expressions become a bit Strange. Everyone naturally recognizes Homelander; after all, Kamar-Taj only unilaterally isolates itself from the outside World.
When Strange passed by carrying a large pile of books, he didn't say hello. He just took one look and hurried away without stopping.
He just wanted to master magic as quickly as possible, fix his hands, and return to human society.
"How long has he been here?" Sean asked.
"Two months."
The two arrived at a meditation room. The Ancient One placed the Mind Stone and a necklace together, and an orange magic circle slid across the air above them, looking very stylish.
After a while, the stone was embedded into the necklace, and its glow became much dimmer.
The Ancient One handed the necklace over. "It is done. It will no longer emit energy; of course, you will not be able to use it either."
She had merely sealed the stone inside the necklace. It couldn't be used at will like the scepter, and there was only one eye of agamotto, so it was even less possible to give it to him.
Sean didn't mind; he didn't rely on the Mind Stone to fight anyway.
Besides, this power to control minds would make him lose a lot of fun, for example, right now.
"Ahem, since you've helped me twice, I can't just go back empty-handed. Let me help you 'motivate' Strange a bit. Believe me, I'm very good at this!" Sean's eyes revealed a look of excitement.
The Ancient One naturally wanted to refuse directly. Who knew what Strange things he would say to Strange?
But then she thought about how time was pressing and Strange's progress was indeed a bit slow. She had already been thinking of ways to speed up his learning progress.
For example, accidentally letting him see the books on time manipulation and leaving the eye of agamotto in the library.
"What... do you intend to do?"
"Hehe, don't worry, I'm just going to introduce myself to him briefly."
In the small cabin on the other side, Strange was gnawing on an apple while learning with the help of Google Translate.
There weren't many magic books written in English; most were in some ancient language. No matter how smart he was, he had to start learning from scratch.
Knock, knock~
There was a knock at the door. Before he could respond, the door was pushed open.
Seeing that it was Sean, Strange's expression was full of confusion. He didn't know why Homelanderwas looking for him.
He wasn't surprised that Homelander would appear here; wasn't it normal for the most powerful sorcerer and the most powerful Superhero to know each other?
"You are Strange?"
"Uh, yes, that's me. We've met, on the day you were experiencing being a caregiver." Strange said with a bit of jealousy.
He remembered that Christine had been extremely happy that day, and had even dressed up specifically.
Sean walked closer and leaned in to look at his book. "Your hands?"
"Oh, a car accident, but it doesn't matter, they will recover soon."
"You came here just to fix your hands, right?"
"Yes, what else could it be? To become a Superhero?" Strange was gradually becoming impatient, feeling that Sean was interrupting his study time.
Sean suddenly said with sympathy: "I can help you recover your hands, immediately."
Strange stopped turning the pages. He wanted to stop, but his hands were still shaking uncontrollably. He turned his head and looked at Sean in disbelief.
"Really? What do I need to pay? I... I can do anything!"
He quickly stood up, his tone of voice a bit excited. "Sorry! My attitude earlier might have been bad, please don't mind!"
Sean patted his shoulder kindly and smiled. "It's okay, it's okay. For Christine's sake, I don't mind."
"Is that so, that's great... You know Christine?" Strange tilted his head, very confused.
Suddenly, he thought of the rumors about Homelander from a while ago. He thought of something, but then felt it was unlikely. Christine had a boyfriend; she wasn't that kind of...
Then, in his shocked gaze, Sean slowly put on his glasses and smiled slightly.
"Let's re-introduce myself. Toby Marquiel, Christine's boyfriend."
Outside the room, the Ancient One had been watching this side. She couldn't rest easy leaving Sean alone with the future Sorcerer Supreme.
Listening to their conversation, the Ancient One also knew what method Sean was talking about.
Strange's face flushed red, his whole body trembling. He reached out with both hands, about to grab Sean. "You... you have been deceiving Christine!"
With a slight movement of his left foot, Strange fell to the ground, emitting a painful moan.
Sean squatted down and pressed his hand on his head. "Yes, so what? Even if you tell her, will she believe you?"
"Then why did you tell me, cough cough!" While Strange was speaking, he also ate a few mouthfuls of dust.
"Because, I'm going to find her now. Bye-bye."
With a little more force, Strange fainted and lay on the ground, motionless.
Walking out the door, Sean brushed his hands over his head with a very pleased expression.
"I'll leave the rest to you, Ancient One."
"..."
At the entrance of the General Hospital, Christine looked around, found the red sports car, pulled open the passenger door, and sat inside.
As soon as she got in the car, Sean couldn't wait to give her a kiss.
"Is there something happy today?" Christine asked.
"Yes, I get to see you again, of course I'm happy."
Christine smiled shyly. "Don't we see each other every day~"
Although Sean hadn't come to pick her up from work every day since becoming a presidential candidate, he still made time to come over in the evening. Even if sometimes it was just a kiss or practicing cooking, she was very satisfied.
"Mm-hmm, so, I am very happy every day."
---
Sokovia, in the original HYDRA bunker.
In front of Ultron were two small drones, using the Dark Elf stealth technology, which could even deceive Heimdall's eyes.
Ultron didn't really care about the stealth technology; the key was the black hole bomb attached to it, which made him ponder for a long time.
After simulating and decomposing it many times, he could replicate all the materials except for one. He had no way to deal with it; it completely violated all scientific laws.
"Can it convert all matter into antimatter, thereby triggering a black hole? Is it from the same source as the scepter?"
He searched the internet for a long time and found no records. Only in that video from Britain had the same red particles appeared.
"Hmph, humans, truly interesting. They clearly have the power to change the World, but they just like to hide it, hehe."
Although he didn't find the materials to make a black hole bomb, he found something else: a formula.
"Since I can't replicate it, I will amplify it, amplify it into a black hole big enough to absorb the Earth!"
A very human-like smile appeared on the robot Ultron's face. The light screen in front of him flashed rapidly, displaying data from Pym Technologies.
And, videos of Ant-Man.
Chapter 200: "Wow, Dr. Pym, are you really not willing to cooperate at all?"
"Hey! Dr. Helen, where are you?" Steve's anxious voice came through the phone.
Helen Zhao frowned, gritted her teeth, and replied, "At... at home!"
"New York or Seoul?"
"New York~"
Steve and the others beside him breathed a sigh of relief, then asked, "Ultron stole Vibranium, and we suspect he will come to find you to use the Regeneration Cradle technology to create a physical body."
"However, it's good that you're still in New York; we're coming to find you right now!"
"Ahem! No need. I had already guessed Ultron's intentions, so I am protecting her right now."
When Sean Brooke's voice came through the phone, they were stunned for a moment, and it took a long time before they hung up.
The Avengers looked at each other and sighed helplessly. Wanda even glared with widened eyes, vowing to deal with Ultron as soon as possible!
They were fighting for their lives outside, extremely nervous, fearing that Ultron had some Earth-shattering conspiracy.
As for Sean Brooke, he was living more comfortably and relaxed than anyone else.
Guessed it? Guessed his ass! Ultron had just stolen the Vibranium less than half an hour ago; how could he have guessed it!
On the other side, in New York, inside the hotel where Helen Zhao was staying, Sean Brooke had been invited to listen to her play the piano.
As for what happened afterward, it was entirely because the music was too romantic, making people unable to help themselves.
It had absolutely nothing to do with Helen Zhao's pure white slit dress.
"They, why did they say Ultron wants to find me to build a body? The Regeneration Cradle can't do that."
On the sofa, Helen Zhao snuggled into Sean Brooke's arms. On the piano not far away, several pieces of clothing were hanging, symbolizing that the place of the recent battle was not here.
She was not wrong; the Regeneration Cradle could not create living tissue, so it would be useless if Ultron came.
"Do you know about a material called Vibranium?"
"Mm, I know."
"Vibranium has many uses; it's not just for making shields."
Helen Zhao's eyes suddenly lit up. She crawled forward a little, looking at Sean Brooke with excitement: "Could it be that Vibranium can be compatible with cellular tissue and stitched together?"
"Uh, that's roughly what it means."
Hearing Sean Brooke's confirmation, she became even more excited, drawing circles on his chest with her right hand, her eyes wide with desire.
Sean Brooke naturally understood what she meant, and his hand began to make the same movement as hers.
"Want Vibranium?"
"Mm~"
"You also know that the price of Vibranium is extremely expensive, so..." Sean Brooke rolled over, they switched positions, grabbed her hand, and asked softly:
"How many times will you play the piano in exchange?"
"To... today, at most one more time; can I make up for the rest later~" Helen Zhao pleaded coquettishly.
Sean Brooke leaned down, pressing against her face, "I'm going to charge interest."
---
After Ultron snatched the Vibranium, he did not choose to create a physical body directly, but instead built a Vibranium mechanical body.
He did not get the Mind Stone, so it made no difference whether he had the Regeneration Cradle or not.
The main reason for stealing the Vibranium was to attract the Avengers' attention so that he could sneak off to capture people.
When he came out of the manufacturing pod, Ultron already possessed a Vibranium body. Looking at the two people beside him, he stood up helplessly and walked over.
"Wow, Dr. Pym, are you really not willing to cooperate at all?"
When saying this, Ultron's hand gripped Hope's head, causing her to let out a painful scream.
Hearing his daughter's screams, Pym's expression was grave, but he still firmly said: "Give up!"
"I am a robot, I have no heart. Why are you humans always like this? Can't you be a little more careful?"
Ultron let go, not killing Hope, but stood up and rambled on about a lot of grand principles.
Beside them was a large screen with many numbers churning on it, and Pym was very nervous.
Those were the formulas Ultron was deducing, using the data searched from his room.
Once he found the formula for Pym Particles, it would be the end for both father and daughter.
In just a few hours, from his words, Pym also knew what this robot called Ultron wanted to do: destroy the Earth.
Especially when Pym saw a small spaceship floating nearby with Stark's name printed on it, and surrounded by Stark's mechanical soldiers, he understood everything.
Therefore, knowing how powerful Pym Particles were, he absolutely could not tell Ultron anything, even if Hope died in front of him.
However, Pym also knew that it was only a matter of time before Ultron deduced the formula; based on the current progress, it would be soon.
The reason Ultron did not kill the two of them directly was also as an insurance policy; in case he couldn't calculate the formula, he still had a slim chance.
That was to steal the Mind Stone, control Pym, and make him reveal the formula.
Of course, Ultron didn't have much confidence in stealing the stone.
Judging from the personality of Homelander he had deduced, it was impossible to threaten him at all; nobody could.
"Hope, the company will probably call the police when they discover you're missing," Pym asked in a low voice.
"I'm not sure."
Calling the police was, of course, not the key; as long as there was this record, he believed Stark would discover it when searching for information.
And on this point, Ultron also trusted Stark's ability, so he had to prepare some things to delay the Avengers' steps and buy himself time.
"Soon, once the calculation formula for Pym Particles is deduced, this World will welcome true peace."
---
At night, at Barton's secret cabin, the place where his wife and children lived in seclusion, the Avengers, who had suffered a setback in the Vibranium snatch battle, also came here to rest.
"There is news from Seoul; Ultron didn't go there," Steve said as he walked in.
"Then why did he go to such trouble to steal Vibranium? Could it be just to make an ordinary Vibraniumbody?" Natasha was very puzzled.
The others were also very confused. Logically speaking, a Vibranium mechanical body was indeed very strong, but it wasn't worth Ultron going to such great lengths to steal it, right?
"What about the nuclear codes?"
"I asked a friend at the Nexus; Ultron has locked onto the missiles, but the codes keep changing. I don't know who is helping," Fury said, walking from the kitchen to the living room with a relaxed look.
"The Nexus?"
"The World network hub located in Oslo; all data flows through there. It is the place with the fastest internet speed in the World."
Fury said while eating a cookie: "Shouldn't we be thinking about how to find Ultron and truly kill him?"
Through today's battle, the Avengers also knew that dealing with the mechanical soldiers was far from enough. Even if they handled all of them, Ultron could still survive on the network, waiting for an opportunity.
If they couldn't kill the Ultron on the network, no matter how strong they were in reality, there was nothing they could do, unless they destroyed the Earth.
Banner took a deep breath, looked up, and asked: "Tony, should we go to the Nexus, find Ultron first, and check what he is actually doing?"
Tony was throwing darts and didn't answer. When everyone looked over, he turned around and said seriously: "No! I know a place with faster internet speed."
