Chapter 96: Thor Still Shows Up at the Last Moment.
"Thunder God Thor?!"
Pietro was completely shocked; how were even myths and legends appearing now?
Also, he remembered that Thunder God Thor was supposed to be male, right?
Could the myths be wrong?!
"Mortal, let me deal with this big guy first, then we'll have a good drink."
The Female Thunder God Thor swung the Mjolnir in her hand, spun it rapidly a dozen times, and then threw it out with a bang.
Bang!
A loud boom exploded instantly. The giant Nimrod's massive body retreated step by step under this strike, its entire frame becoming unstable before falling directly into the sea.
Swoosh—!
The mjolnir returned quickly after the successful hit.
"You are a qualified king and a powerful warrior."
The Female Thunder God Thor landed next to Magneto Erik and praised him generously, then reached out to help the dusty, bleeding, and somewhat disheveled Magnetoup.
"Thank you. This Sentinel is not easy to kill."
Eric straightened his messy collar and spoke up to warn her.
"Don't worry, I'm best at dealing with these big guys."
Female Thor patted her chest, shook the hammer in her hand, and charged out again.
Utopia, on the beach.
"The Thunder God Thor of this Universe is actually a woman?!"
Thor was a little surprised. This was the first time he had seen a female version of himself. He particularly liked her armor, though her pectoral muscles were a bit exaggerated.
"No, she's from another Universe. She just drew a portal and came over—the same kind of portal as Strange's. She saw Magneto being beaten when she landed and stepped in to help."
Franklin watched with great interest, an apple in his mouth.
"Well, it looks like the plan to save Old Man Magneto has fallen through."
Thor complained while watching the show.
He was still thinking about waiting until Magneto was at his most desperate to roll out in his wheelchair and show off. This Female Thor was simply ruining his fun!
Such a great source of amusement was gone!
"Actually, you still have a chance. Cassandra has sent many more Sentinel Robots over."
"Do you want to come with me?"
Thor turned to look at Franklin.
"Of course. You have no idea how bored I am being stuck at home every day. I have nothing to do but create Pocket Dimensions to play with."
Franklin stood up, gave a long stretch, and complained.
Heh... I suspect you're just secretly showing off, and I have evidence!
"Professor, this is the sandwich I made for you! Hurry and taste it to see how it is!"
Li Qianhuan came running out noisily, holding a freshly made sandwich that looked like it had just come out of the pan, emitting a faint aroma of toasted bread.
"Eh?! Professor, who is this?"
Li Qianhuan noticed Franklin next to Thor and asked.
"Oh, him? He's a Mutant I picked up from the sea."
Thor replied casually.
"Picked up from the sea? Then what is his ability? What Rank of Mutant is he?!"
"Just an ordinary Omega Level Mutant. His ability is Wish Fulfillment."
Thor glanced at Franklin and, seeing that he was too lazy to explain, spoke for him.
"Wow! That's so cool! Then can you give me some wings?"
Li Qianhuan looked at Franklin with longing.
"Of course, as you wish."
Franklin waved his hand, and a pair of pure white wings appeared on Li Qianhuan's back.
Li Qianhuan looked at Franklin in disbelief, then touched the wings that had grown on her back. With a little effort, she began to fly with a flap.
"My God! I never thought the day would come when I could fly without taking the Blackbird!"
Li Qianhuan was now like a child with a new toy, constantly flying, tumbling, and playing in the air.
The loud noise also woke up Madelyne, who was sleeping on the ground.
"Ugh... why do I feel a little dizzy?"
Madelyne climbed up from the beach, glanced at Thor and then at Franklin next to him, her brow furrowing slightly.
This person impersonating the Professor could actually make her fall into a baby-like sleep instantly; it was truly terrifying. As a dignified Omega-level Mutant, how had she become so pathetic?
"Motherf*cker! Li Qianhuan, you brat! What are you shouting about so early in the morning?!"
Wolverine Logan walked out grumbling after being woken up. He first looked at the extra person beside Thor, then looked up at Li Qianhuan flying in the sky, doubting if he was still awake.
After rubbing his eyes vigorously and opening them again, Li Qianhuan was still flying.
"Li Qianhuan! I'll give you three seconds to get down here right now!"
"Annoying Uncle Logan, I've only been playing for a little while."
Li Qianhuan flew down reluctantly, pouting, clearly displeased.
Logan wasn't going to spoil the girl; he went up, grabbed her by the ear, and gave her a scolding.
The noise soon woke up the other X-Men, who came out one after another.
"Children, Old Man Magneto needs help. Would you like to go with me?"
"Of course, Professor. When Mutants are in trouble, how could we not go to support them?"
Cyclops Scott walked out, holding Jean Grey's hand.
"Alright, Clarice, please open a portal."
Thor looked at Blink behind the crowd.
"Okay, Professor."
Clarice raised her hand and slashed open a deep purple portal wide enough for two people to pass through.
Everyone present walked into the portal one by one and soon disappeared, leaving only Colossus Peter and Wolverine Logan behind to take care of the Mutantchildren.
Genosha.
The original battle situation gradually improved with the addition of the Female Thunder God Thor. Just after Female Thor and Magneto Erik had completely dismantled the hundred-meter-tall giant Sentinel, before they could catch their breath, ten more giant Nimrods flew over.
They clearly intended to use exhaustion tactics.
"Well, these things you humans developed are quite something! You lumps of iron! I can do this all day!"
Female Thor charged out, wrapped in ten thousand tons of thunder, and slammed heavily into one of the giant Nimrods, knocking it down into the sea.
Before she could rest for a moment, several massive fists struck at Female Thor.
Female Thor, who had just held the upper hand and was fighting ten machines by herself, was now being hit like a ball by these giant Nimrod Sentinels, giving her no chance to fight back.
Boom—!
Female Thor's body smashed straight into the city of Genosha, knocking down a large area of concrete buildings and stirring up a cloud of dust.
Magneto Erik saw that this sudden powerful ally was no match for these Sentinels either. He stood up once again with the determination to die.
Risking everything, he forcibly pushed past a limit of the Anti-magnetic force field, intending to take on the ten giant Sentinels alone.
Shua—!
A deep purple portal opened behind him. Cyclops Scott pushed Thor out first, his bald head reflecting the sunlight from not far away.
"Eric, it's been so long, and you're still in such a mess!"
Chapter 97: As the Professor, It's Only Reasonable That I Know Your Abilities, Right?
"Charles, since when did you learn to be so sarcastic?"
Magneto Erik manipulated a massive amount of steel bars, hurling them at the giant Nimrod Sentinel. He glanced back at the X-Men who had come to support them, then looked at Thor.
"Charles, you've been hiding for so long. Are you finally willing to bring your little brats out?"
"Erik, actually, I'm here to watch you make a fool of yourself. I really didn't expect you to be unable to beat even a few big lumps of metal."
Thor shook his head with a sigh.
"Charles, you talk a big game. If you're so capable, why don't you give it a try!"
Erik felt that his old friend and rival seemed to have changed a bit. Always competitive, even though he was in a somewhat pathetic state and being pummeled, he still stubbornly goaded him.
"If I'm going, I'm going. Erik, watch closely. If you're not even as good as an old man in a wheelchair like me, you should just go home and go to bed."
"Jean, push me forward. I'm going to give Erik a good lesson."
"Yes, Professor."
Jean Grey replied, stepping forward to grasp the handles of the wheelchair and pushing Thor forward.
"Leave this battle to me! I will protect you, Mortals!"
Female Thor had scrambled up at some point. She gathered her strength and kicked off the ground with her right foot, launching herself forward like a cannonball.
"For the glory of the Northern God!"
Female Thor let out a fierce roar, empowered by thousands of bolts of lightning. The hammer in her hand whizzed as she swung it, rushing toward the giant Nimrod with a whoosh.
Boom—!
The powerful lightning energy slammed into the shields condensed from psionic energy by the ten giant Nimrods.
It took the fully unleashed Female Thor five hammer strikes to shatter them. However, what awaited her was not ten giant Nimrods, but a single thousand-meter-tall giant Nimrod. Its entire body shimmered with a silver-white luster, utilizing the same ability as Colossus.
In the next instant, Female Thor was struck by a fist nearly a hundred meters wide. Like a kite with its string cut, she flew rapidly toward the distant horizon, plunging into the sea with a splash.
"Professor, maybe I should use the Phoenix Force."
Seeing this, Jean Grey was still a bit worried and made a suggestion to the Thor in front of her.
"Oh, Jean, what kind of teacher would let their child go to their death? Watch closely; I'll take care of it for you all in this wave!"
After the two approached the giant Nimrod, they came to a stop.
"High-risk targets detected: Charles Xavier, Jean Grey. Omega Level telepaths. Activating Psychic shielding field. Commencing humane destruction."
The giant Nimrod quickly scanned the information of the two. An invisible, intangible Psychic shielding fieldinstantly enveloped them. Its pupils lit up with a crimson glow, and a thick red energy beam shot straight toward them!
"Clashing beams with me? I'm standing on the right side!"
Thor chuckled, his eyes fixed on the giant Nimrod. In an instant, a red energy beam as large as the giant Nimrod's fist erupted.
It easily crushed the robot's attack upon contact. The terrifying and scorching energy ray, like a hot knife through butter, instantly shattered all of the giant Nimrod's defenses and slammed into its massive body.
Boom—!
Bang!
Sizzle, sizzle...
The massive energy beam swept across the giant Nimrodfrom bottom to top. Wherever it passed, everything melted like snow. In just a few seconds, all traces of the giant Nimrod Sentinel's existence were completely erased from this World.
"My God! The Professor is so powerful! He's been keeping this from us all along!"
Li Qianhuan held her head in her hands, staring blankly at what had just happened.
"Scott, when did Charles learn your ability? And how is he so much stronger than you?"
Magneto Erik's pupils constricted sharply. Clearly, he also found it difficult to accept what he was seeing. He turned to the equally stunned Scott and asked.
Cyclops Scott stood there, dazed for a full half-minute before snapping out of it and uttering a sentence.
"I don't know. We were only rescued by the Professoryesterday. He said he used Nathaniel's research to enhance himself a bit."
"It seems Charles really needs to learn how to lie. This is clearly just a flimsy excuse."
Erik narrowed his eyes, gazing at his friend ahead. His eyes shifted constantly, as if he were deep in thought.
"Professor! Professor! You were so cool just now!"
Li Qianhuan looked at Thor with stars in her eyes, her admiration practically overflowing.
"Professor..."
Polaris Lorna and Quicksilver Pietro greeted Thor.
"Long time no see, Lorna. You've maintained your hair well."
Thor looked at Magneto Erik's children, his gaze landing on Lorna's green hair.
To be honest, he couldn't quite get Lorna's aesthetic. What normal person would dye their hair green?
No matter how he looked at it, it felt strange.
Plus, she was wearing a green suit, which made it look even weirder.
"Thank you, Professor."
Lorna was stunned for a moment before reacting.
"Professor, how did you..."
Cyclops Scott walked up, his expression complex, not knowing what to say.
"Scott, I am your Professor and your teacher. So, it's normal for me to know your abilities, right?"
Here it comes again.
Since when did the Professor enjoy using this kind of twisted logic?
Before, he said robots were people too, and that blocking pain meant they wouldn't die—fine. But what does being a teacher have to do with knowing all their skills?!
Then what was the point of all those years they spent desperately training their abilities, saving Mutants, and stopping the plans of those evil scientists?
Did it just mean they had too much free time?!
"Charles, drop your poor lies. You can only fool these kids. What happened to you? Tell me."
Magneto Erik pressed his hands on Thor's shoulders, staring intently into his eyes.
"Isn't it simple? I've acquired the same abilities as those Sentinels. I can copy and paste your Mutant abilities at any time."
Thor looked into Erik's eyes and spoke every word clearly.
"Fine, if you don't want to say, then forget it."
Magneto Erik clearly noticed something but said no more. He turned and began to use his power to rebuild his nation.
Blocks of reinforced concrete were arranged in an orderly fashion. In just over ten minutes, the original ruins were restored to their former state, almost perfectly.
Tsk tsk...
Magneto's ability is simply born for civil engineering!
His Land of Nihility is exactly in need of such talent!
He had to find a good way to kidnap Magneto. A top-tier, tireless construction machine was something one might not find even if they searched with a lantern.
"You are the most powerful warrior I have ever seen. What is your name?"
Female Thor walked out, her face covered in dust, and looked at Thor.
"Charles Xavier."
"I heard them say you seem to know that... mind magic or something, right?"
"Yes, why?"
Thor looked strangely at the Female Thor in front of him, whose armor was much cooler than his. He really wanted to strip it off and put it on himself.
Never mind... he wasn't Deadpool. With the Law of Reality, he essentially had a versatile wardrobe. He could wear a set of clothes like that next time.
"I have a sister who has been missing since childhood. I have crossed countless Multiverses, but I haven't found any trace of her."
Female Loki is Female Thor's sister?
Could it be such a coincidence?
Had he run into Sylvie's sister?!
"What is her name?" Thor asked.
"Her name is Sylvie Laufeydottir."
Chapter 98: Cassandra is Electrocuted Like a Dog
"Did she go missing while playing with toys?"
Thor recalled the reason why Sylvie hated the Time Variance Authority in the Loki series.
Hmm... her eagerness to destroy the Time Variance Authority was understandable.
If he remembered correctly, it seemed that when Sylviewas a child, she had the idea of wanting to be a hero while playing with toys.
Then she was arrested at her door, and the Asgard of that timeline was also deleted on the spot.
"Your Asgard, or rather your Universe, should no longer exist, right?"
Thor asked.
"You know who did it?!!"
Female Thor reached out a hand and pressed it firmly on Thor's shoulder, her eyes bloodshot. She had wandered the Multiverse for so many years and searched for so long, yet she had never found even a single clue.
Now that someone knew the situation, how could she let it go?!
"Ahem... let go first. You're a grandmother thousands of years old; there's no need to bully a seventy-year-old man like me."
Thor casually slapped away Female Thor's hand and said.
"Then can you tell me exactly who destroyed Asgard and who abducted my sister?!"
"Don't worry, Sylvie has already taken down that organization and caused a huge mess, but her boyfriend is supporting her. She might be stealing fries in a McDonald's in some Universe right now."
Thor used his Mental Energy to soothe this Female Thor, lest she burst into a rage at every turn.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that most Thors in the Multiverse have intermittent explosive disorder; he guessed it might be because they had been on the battlefield since childhood.
One can only say that Odin, that old fogey, has failed as much as one possibly can when it comes to the failure of education.
If you say he doesn't love Hela, Thor, or Loki, that's not true. But if you say he does, his method of education is truly hard to describe.
It's on par with the "locked-door wisdom" of DC next door.
But then again, it's normal; as long as it's a living being, it's impossible not to make mistakes.
Whether it's a human, a god, or an animal, they'll act foolish when it's time to act foolish; it's just a matter of who causes the bigger mess.
Female Thor froze on the spot upon hearing this news. Though it was only a few short sentences, at this moment, they washed over her mind like a massive stream of information.
Sylvie destroyed that organization?
And she got a boyfriend and caused a huge mess?
And her boyfriend stepped in to solve it?!
What on earth is going on?!
Looking at it this way, Sylvie is probably doing quite well now?
"Professor, how do you know so clearly? She's Thor?!"
Li Qianhuan poked her head out curiously, looking at Thor.
"Oh, that? I was just making it up to fool her."
Thor said casually.
???
Several large question marks appeared over the heads of everyone present.
"Professor, did you... go to another Universe during the time you were missing?"
Storm Ororo looked at the Thor in front of her. His aura and appearance were indeed that of the Professor she was familiar with, and even Jean had confirmed it, but she still felt strange in her heart and raised a question.
"No, but my Mental Energy has traveled through the Multiverse, and I've seen some interesting things."
"Charles, you went to the Astral Plane? Didn't Shadow King Farouk give you any trouble?"
Magneto Erik asked.
"You mean that unkillable cockroach? He's not in the Astral Plane. He's secretly causing trouble with my dear sister. The Sentinels that attacked you this time were sent by them."
"This is different from the future development we know, Cable."
Bishop rubbed his chin and then turned to look at Cable.
"It's fine, we have the Professor."
Cable thought for a long while before giving an answer.
But what he didn't say was that he had just secretly scanned the Thor in front of him with his Mechanical Eye, and just a trace of energy fluctuation leaking from the other's body almost blew up his Mechanical Eye.
At first, he thought something was wrong with his Mechanical Eye, then he scanned several other Omega Level Mutants and concluded that it wasn't that the other Omega Level Mutants weren't strong, but that they were completely on a different level from the Professor.
If he had to make a comparison, the energy clusters on the other Omega Level Mutants were about the size of a small car.
While the energy cluster on the Professor was almost as large as the Planet beneath their feet.
Although he didn't know what kind of medicine the Professor had taken to become even stronger than Phoenix, this exactly proved that they would no longer be in any danger.
"Charles, are you saying that Cassandra and Farouk have teamed up to control these Sentinel Robots?"
Erik quickly recalled this old rival, Charles's sister, a naturally evil and chaotic mental entity.
"Yes, she's really a bit too disobedient, so as her elder brother, I've decided to stuff her back into the womb."
The X-Men's bodies trembled instinctively upon hearing this name; they remembered how terrifying and bottomless this so-called sister of the Professor was!
Erik didn't answer, but just took a deep look at Thor.
Thor was too lazy to play hide-and-seek with Cassandranow. He raised his hand and pointed, and a flickering portal of the same model instantly opened. A man and a woman in military uniforms flew out one after another and knelt directly on the ground.
"Damn it! It's you hateful Mutants again!"
Seeing Thor and his group, the man in the military uniform made no secret of the hatred in his eyes and began to curse at them.
"Professor, are these two the ones possessed by Cassandra and Farouk?"
Cyclops Scott stepped forward and asked while looking at the two.
Seeing that they had been exposed, the two kneeling people no longer hid and immediately intended to use their abilities to resist. However, they found that their proud mental powers and abilities were like a stone sinking into the ocean, without even causing a ripple.
"Ororo, Thor, go! Electrocute them hard for me!"
Thor directed his two Lightning Masters, preparing to give these two a bit of "tough love."
Ororo and Female Thor glanced at each other, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes. They stepped forward together, and a bolt of pale white lightning and a bolt of deep blue lightning roared out, drilling straight into the bodies of the two.
"Ugh... Aaaaaah!"
As the lightning fell, Cassandra's and Farouk's limbs began to twitch to varying degrees. Wave after wave of meaty aroma mixed with a burnt smell wafted from the two, and their screams were endless.
Cyclops Scott frowned slightly, looking at the two who were being suppressed by the lightning and twitching constantly, and spoke up:
"Professor, they are indeed beyond forgiveness, but such torture... is it perhaps a bit too cruel?"
"Cruelty is for living beings, but are they living beings?"
Thor looked at Scott, this X-Men Captain who was deeply influenced by the original Professor X's ideology.
"Cruel? When they sent Sentinels to hunt us down, you didn't say they were cruel? Now you're saying the Professor is cruel instead?"
A cold, sarcastic voice rang out.
Madelyne glanced at Scott contemptuously.
Scott: "I'm not saying they shouldn't be killed, I just feel there's no need for such torture."
"No need!?"
"Scott! When those Sentinels were hunting us down, why didn't you tell them they were cruel?!"
"Don't you know how many Mutants they've killed? Their hands are covered with the blood of our fellow kin!"
Madelyne was already angry seeing Scott, and now hearing his outrageous statement, she retorted mercilessly, glancing at Jean Grey standing behind Thor.
"Jean Grey, this is the man you've chosen. He can abandon me at any time, and he can abandon you at any time too."
Chapter 99: The Spaceship Has Arrived
Wonderful!
That's it, hurry, hurry, hurry!
I want to see rivers of blood!
Thor watched Madelyne, who was currently berating Scott, and took a piece of watermelon from Franklin. The two of them began eating as if no one else were there.
"Professor, what are you and Franklin doing?"
Li Qianhuan watched the two of them eating watermelon together and asked, somewhat bewildered.
"Come, come, little Qianhuan, let's watch Scott's family drama together!"
Thor glanced at Franklin, and with a casual gesture, Franklin made a piece of watermelon appear in Li Qianhuan's hand.
"Jean, how did the Professor become so different?"
Polaris Lorna pulled Jean aside and whispered in her ear.
"I don't know. Maybe the Professor made himself stupid with some illegal research?"
Jean shook her head, uncertain.
"I think the current Professor looks much more pleasant than the old one. What about you, Jean? Do you feel the same?"
Lorna continued to ask.
"A little, I guess. The current Professor has become much stronger, and he's also a bit protective..."
Jean thought for a long while before giving an answer.
Madelyne cursed at Scott unilaterally for ten minutes without repeating herself. Finally, she grew tired of it and gave Scott a fierce glare.
"Professor, you... seem to be enjoying the show quite a bit."
Madelyne crossed her arms, looking at Thor and the watermelon-eating duo beside him.
"It is indeed very enjoyable, Madelyne. I must say, your delivery is quite good; it's just a pity there wasn't the action sequence I was hoping for."
Thor evaluated her seriously.
"You wouldn't want them to find out you're not the Professor, would you?"
Madelyne used Telekinesis to speak secretly to Thor.
?
Thor looked at Madelyne in surprise.
Good grief!
That sounds a bit familiar!
Madelyne, did you secretly go to Japan for further studies?!
"Madelyne, my child, you are being a bit too naughty. I'll punish you by making you unable to speak for a day."
Thor didn't give Madelyne a chance to react and immediately used magic to seal her voice. No matter how she opened her mouth—even wide enough to fit an egg—no sound came out.
Controlled by Thor, Madelyne walked to the side and began to sulk in silence.
Little brat!
Don't you have any idea of your own strength?
Trying to threaten me...
"Charles, how do you plan to deal with these two?"
Eric glanced at Cassandra and the other person, who were still being electrocuted.
"Let me think. Cable, if I seal their abilities, can you build a cage to keep electrocuting them?"
Thor looked toward Cable.
"No problem, Professor, but it will take half an hour."
Cable gave an affirmative answer.
"There, Magneto, isn't that settled?"
Eric nodded and looked at Pietro. "Pietro, take him to the place where the metals and Materials are stored. Lorna, you entertain your friends. I have some things to discuss with Charles."
"Yes, Father."
Lorna nodded in agreement.
Pietro ran to Cable's side with a grin. "Hold on tight, buddy, I'm very fast!"
Whoosh—!
A white flash streaked by, and the two vanished instantly.
Eric pushed Thor to his Presidential Palace and pointed at the chess set on the table.
"It's been a long time, Charles. How about playing a game with this old man?"
"Sure, Eric. I hope you don't lose and end up crying for your mother."
Thor teased Eric and maneuvered his wheelchair to sit opposite him.
The two began to play, move by move. No one spoke throughout the process; there was only the crisp 'clack' of chess pieces hitting the board.
"Charles, your style of play has changed."
Eric looked down at the state of the board, his brow furrowing slightly.
"People change, Eric. I used to yield at every turn, deluding myself that we could live in peace with humans. But facts have shown me that yielding only makes the other side more aggressive."
"I hold the button to the nuclear weapons, yet I am willing to communicate and talk with them calmly. But that doesn't mean I don't have a temper."
"I finally understand now. Humans cannot even coexist with themselves, let alone with us Mutants and other races."
Eric did not speak.
The Charles of the past played gently and conservatively, retreating cautiously at every step, always trying his best to preserve every piece, much like his steadfast philosophy of coexistence.
But today's game was entirely different. The opponent still didn't use sharp, aggressive attacks, yet every move hid a shackle. It seemed like casual placement, but silently, he had locked down the key paths of the entire board.
"Should I call you Charles or your original name? And... where did the real Charles go?"
Eric placed a piece, his eyes fixed on Thor. The magnetic force around him began to stir faintly, and a large number of objects began to slowly lift off the ground and float.
"How boring. Can't you guys just pretend to be fooled and believe I'm Charles? Why do you all have to be so smart?"
Thor complained.
"So who are you? Why did you take on Charles's appearance? What is your purpose in saving us?"
Eric slowly stood up, his eyes narrowing, ready to strike with full force at any moment.
"It's simple. I think this is fun, don't you?"
"Besides, I can save you, unlike the Charles Xavier of your Universe who abandoned you to go be a live-in son-in-law on an alien Planet."
Thor spread his hands, looking indifferent.
Why do I feel like I'm becoming a bit like that fellow Loki?
Liking bad taste and pranks so much now.
I know!
It must be that Loki sitting on the toilet messing with me!
Without even thinking, Thor decisively shifted the blame onto the God of Stories, or one could say, the God of Time, Loki.
"Wait?! What did you say?! Charles went to an alien Planetto be a live-in son-in-law?!!!"
"And he abandoned us!!!"
Eric completely lost his composure now, slamming the chessboard and roaring.
"Is what you're saying true, or did you make up a lie to deceive me?"
"Why would I lie to you? You're no match for me anyway. This is exactly what the Professor of your Universe did."
"He went to be the Prince Consort for Princess Lilandra of the Shiar Empire. He's probably living it up right now, enjoying wine and song day and night."
"Are you absolutely sure? Is there any evidence?"
Eric asked in a low voice. He still couldn't quite believe that his rival and long-time friend would do something so absurd.
The two of them had fought as enemies their whole lives, all for the sake of their fellow Mutants. And now you're telling me Charles quit?
Became a deserter and fled to an alien Planet to be a live-in son-in-law for an alien?!!!
Completely disregarding whether he or their Mutant kin lived or died?!
"Evidence? Where would I get evidence? But I can help you catch him and bring him back, hmm?"
Thor was halfway through speaking when his brow suddenly furrowed.
"What's wrong?" Eric asked, seeing that something was amiss.
Thor looked at Magneto Eric with a strange expression.
"Didn't you want evidence? The evidence you want has arrived in a spaceship, and he's brought his wife along too."
Chapter 100: The Professor Didn't Leave You Behind on Purpose
Buzz—!
A small shuttle, its body matte silver with lines as soft and elegant as a bird's folded wings, slowly approached from the depths of space, quietly hovering above the rebuilt Genosha.
"Bobby! Look!"
Rogue Anna tugged at Iceman Bobby's sleeve, exclaiming as she pointed at the spaceship that had suddenly appeared above.
"See! I told you aliens definitely existed! Now even spaceships are showing up!"
Quicksilver Pietro nudged Sunspot Roberto with his elbow, gesturing with his eyes.
"Fine, you win."
Roberto pulled the last two green Franklins from his pocket and handed them to Pietro.
"Betsy, why don't you look surprised at all?"
Magik Illyana looked around and noticed that only Betsy's expression remained calm, as if she weren't surprised at all by a spaceship straight out of science fiction.
Betsy glanced at Illyana. "You've killed so many demons; what's so strange about aliens existing?"
"Oh, true."
Illyana realized that if demons existed, aliens weren't that strange.
She glanced at Betsy, feeling that she wasn't calm just because of that reason.
Betsy gazed at the sleek alien ship in the sky, unable to help but sigh inwardly. The Multiverse really lacked nothing!
magic, gods, aliens, Dimensional Demon Gods, and divine objects like the Infinity Stones—it could be said that if you could think of it, it existed in the Multiverse.
"Big brother Terminator, do you know which Planet that ship is from?"
Li Qianhuan immediately ran to Cable's side, her two round eyes looking at him curiously.
"No... in the future I come from, aliens never appeared."
Cable remained silent for a rare moment before slowly speaking.
To be honest, he completely failed to understand the development of this past.
Nothing was proceeding as it did in his memories; instead, everything felt wrong.
Especially the Professor. If he hadn't confirmed it multiple times through technological means, he would have thought someone else was impersonating him.
Cassandra and Shadow King Farouk had absolutely nothing to do with the original Sentinel crisis, but now they were not only involved but the masterminds behind it.
Not to mention the spaceship currently hanging over his head.
He really didn't know where this had popped out from!
Cable felt a bit lost. He seriously suspected that from the moment he performed his Transmigration to the past, the future had changed; the past became the future, and the future became the past.
But overall, it was a good thing; Mutants would no longer face extinction.
Cable glanced in the direction where Magneto Eric and Thor were.
After all, with such an incredibly powerful and protective Professor, it was the humans who should be in a dangerous position now.
Buzz—!
A dark blue beam of teleportation light lit up from beneath the spaceship, landing on the lawn not far in front of everyone.
"X-Men! Alert!"
Cyclops Scott reached out his left hand to press against his ruby-quartz glasses, warning everyone with a serious expression.
Storm Ororo's eyes lit up with white light. Female Thorwas eager to try; she hadn't been able to deal with those metal lumps earlier, so how could a few people from the Shiar Empire cause any trouble for her!
Everyone was on alert, with one exception: Franklin.
He was still watching the drama!
From watermelon and cantaloupe to now a small bag of sunflower seeds, he was clearly enjoying himself.
"Franklin, aren't you worried?"
Li Qianhuan whispered when she saw this.
"Worried? Why should I be worried?"
Franklin glanced at Li Qianhuan with a strange look.
"What if they are alien invaders? Aren't you afraid?"
"Afraid?"
Franklin's expression became even more peculiar.
What? Is Sentinel Robert inside, or the full-power Scarlet Witch or Phoenix?
Even if it were them, it's not like he couldn't fight; it's just that Reed would discover his true self had snuck out.
Moreover, it was just Charles and his bird-person wife inside. To him, those two were almost zero threat.
"Don't worry, it's someone you know. Besides, if you can't beat them, isn't there still Thor?"
Franklin said while cracking sunflower seeds.
"Mortal, you have good taste!"
Female Thor was delighted to hear someone praising her and turned to compliment Franklin.
Franklin didn't speak. He knew it; the Thunder God Thor in every Multiverse was incredibly narcissistic!
And his narcissism was no less than that of the playboy Iron Man Tony Stark.
"Children, I'm back."
The real Charles Xavier and his alien wife Lilandradescended onto the lawn.
As everyone clearly saw the two people opposite them, especially the Professor sitting in a wheelchair, the air froze for a moment, becoming silent to the extreme.
"Pro... Professor?! Weren't you inside talking to Magneto?!"
Rogue Anna rubbed her eyes, looking at the familiar Professor in front of her, then at the direction of Thor and Magneto Eric, a bit confused about the situation.
"Wait! Anna, you're saying there's another Professor?!"
Charles was also a bit dazed. His wife had recently told him that the Mutants on Earth were undergoing a Carnage, so he had set out to return to this familiar azure Planet.
And now it turned out someone was impersonating him?!
"Heh... Charles, even a fake cares about us more than you do."
Madelyne spoke with sarcasm.
"Madelyne... I..."
Charles wanted to explain but was rudely interrupted by Madelyne.
"What do you want to say? Charles, tell us how you abandoned all Mutants, traveled far into the sea of stars, and became a vassal to an alien royal family?"
"Madelyne, are you sure what you're saying is true?"
Storm Ororo looked at Madelyne for confirmation.
"Can't you see for yourselves whether what I'm saying is true? Clearly, facts speak louder than words!"
"Charles, is what Madelyne said true?"
Storm Ororo looked at Charles, waiting for his reply.
"Ororo, Madelyne is right. I grew tired of all the fighting, and then I met Lilandra..."
Charles didn't continue, but everyone guessed what he was going to say next.
After his explanation, he was suddenly enveloped by a heavy sense of exhaustion.
On the way back, he still considered himself the natural leader of the Mutants, fully believing that everyone was waiting for his return.
But the cruel reality suddenly crashed down: he had gone far into the stars to escape conflict, enjoying stability and glory in the Shiar Empire;
Meanwhile, an impostor of himself had stayed on Earth, shouldering all the crises for him and protecting Genoshaand his fellow people.
Madelyne's sarcasm pierced his heart, and the silent gazes of the children around him made him feel even more ashamed.
He had no way to refute it and had to admit that he had simply grown tired of the slaughter and fled in a pathetic manner.
He claimed to be a lighthouse and a prophet, but in the end, even a counterfeit had more sense of responsibility than he did.
Guilt and self-mockery tightly gripped his heart. His former gentle and composed aura completely faded away, leaving only a heart full of wretchedness and powerlessness.
"Charles Xavier, tell me... did you really abandon us just to escape back then?"
Magneto Erik descended from the sky, and Thor no longer hid himself, returning to his original form as he walked out.
Chapter 101: The Mutants Who Are Completely Disappointed
"Eric, I..."
"Charles! Stop thinking about escaping! Answer my question!"
Eric stepped forward and grabbed Charles's shoulders, staring intently into his eyes as he questioned him sternly.
"Do not judge his entire life based on a one-sided view of right and wrong."
Lilandra gently supported Charles and stepped forward, scanning the crowd. Her tone was cool, and a faint pressure of interstellar royalty radiated from her.
"Earth has never treated him well. Between the internal strife of the Mutants and the hostility of humans, he was always the only one struggling to maintain the balance."
"When he endured the darkness with you, no one felt grateful; yet when he chose to embrace peace, he was branded with the crime of betrayal."
"Shi'ar accepted him in his exhaustion, and I chose to protect his vulnerability. There is no fault in that."
"Charles, look into my eyes! Is what she said what you meant?"
Eric ignored Lilandra's words and continued to stare at Charles.
Charles closed his eyes and slowly nodded.
"Charles, if you had told me you were tired and wanted to rest before you left, I wouldn't have blamed you; I would have only given you my blessings, but..."
Eric's tone shifted, becoming sharp and aggressive.
"What did you do? You ran away without a word, abandoning the Mutants, abandoning your students, and abandoning me!"
"I was right about you after all; you are a coward!"
"Do you know, Charles? If we hadn't run into an impostor, you would have returned today to find only our corpses, not us standing here talking to you!"
"Enough! Charles is already tired enough! You all still want to—"
Lilandra had just started speaking when Eric glanced at her. A heavy magnetic field, like a mountain, instantly enveloped her, pinning her to the ground.
"Ugh... ah..."
Charles looked at Eric. "Eric, Lilandra is innocent. Let her go."
"She is innocent?!"
Magneto Erik almost laughed out of anger. He pointed at himself.
"She's innocent? Then what are we? Do we deserve to be exterminated?!"
"Eric, it is indeed my fault, but please don't make Lilansuffer for my mistakes."
Charles looked at Eric, his face full of pleading.
Eric looked at Charles quietly for five seconds, his face devoid of any expression. He withdrew the magnetic field pressing on Lilandra and slowly said,
"Charles, I won't hate you, nor will I blame you anymore. You chose the life you desired, and for that, I give you my blessings."
He turned to Thor and said, "Thor, I promise you. I will go with you to the Land of Nihility with my people. It's time I properly accompanied Pietro and Lorna."
"Sure, I think Pietro will definitely love it there."
Thor raised an eyebrow.
Everyone looked back to see a tall, blonde, burly man leaning against a wall, holding a small bag of sunflower seeds.
"Are you the one who saved us?"
Li Qianhuan stepped forward and gestured at the height difference between them. She was actually a bit embarrassed now, feeling awkward at the thought of having thrown herself into a stranger's arms and crying earlier.
But now, curiosity clearly triumphed over shame. She walked around Thor once and then looked at the Female Thor not far away.
"Why do I feel like you and that Female Thor look a bit alike?"
Li Qianhuan asked, rubbing her chin.
"Because I am Thunder God Thor."
Thor said plainly.
"Then why did you pretend to be the Professor?"
"Simple, for fun!"
"Thor, you just put on a show specifically for this scene, didn't you?"
Betsy walked to Thor's side.
"No, this scene wasn't in my script at first. It turns out that the unknown is more dramatic, isn't it?"
Thor looked around at the crowd, who were still silent, and spoke to Betsy.
"Betsy, you..."
Illyana Rasputin realized something and stepped forward to question Betsy.
"Illyana, I am not the Betsy of your Universe. The Betsy of your Universe has already died at the hands of the Sentinels. Thor and I came here to hunt down Cassandra."
Betsy explained everything in just a few sentences.
"Regardless, thank you for saving us, Thor and Betsy."
Cyclops and Jean Grey stepped forward together and gave a slight bow.
"Don't worry, saving you was just a matter of convenience."
"Eric plans to go with me. Do you want to stay here, or...?"
Thor looked at the Mutants. Eric, this top-tier civil engineering master, was now his workhorse.
For a hands-off boss like him, the more free labor, the better.
"You said I would definitely like it there. What's there? Why are you so certain?"
Pietro asked.
"Oh, that. I have dinosaurs and mechs there."
Thor said.
"Please, I must go!"
Hearing this, Pietro's eyes lit up, and he eagerly grabbed Thor's hand.
Those are mechs and dinosaurs!
What man could refuse such temptation?!
"Dinosaurs?! Thor, do you really have dinosaurs there? Not models or something?"
Sunspot Roberto was also a bit excited. These two things held a lot of appeal for young people.
"Don't worry. Once you're there, there's nothing I can't do—only things you can't imagine."
Thor guaranteed, patting his chest.
"Laura and I will go with you. After all, it was you who saved us, not Charles."
Illyana pulled Laura along as she stated her position.
"Bobby, let's go too! There are dinosaurs there!"
Rogue Anna took Iceman Bobby's hand and said.
"Whatever you say, Anna."
Iceman Bobby looked at Anna and agreed.
"Then I'm going too!"
Li Qianhuan agreed wholeheartedly. Almost all of the younger generation of the X-Men agreed.
"Only Bishop, Cable, Madelyne, Scott, Jean, Ororo, Clarice, as well as Logan and Peter on Utopia, had yet to speak."
"Thor, are you inviting me to your kingdom?"
Madelyne crossed her arms.
"Well... you can understand it that way. We happen to be short on hands over there. It's up to you. If you don't want to go, it doesn't matter; you can stay here and fight the Sentinels one-on-one."
Thor said indifferently.
"Cable and I are going too. We've been fighting for too many years; we just want to find a place to retire."
Bishop said, puffing on a cigar.
Ororo glanced at her comrades and nodded in agreement.
Clarice also nodded.
Finally, everyone's eyes fell on Cyclops and Jean Grey. After all, these two were veteran members of the X-Men.
"Thor, can you ensure there are no wars, no oppression, and no discrimination against Mutants where you are?"
Scott was very conflicted. The Professor's actions were indeed heartbreaking.
They had been fighting for too many years. To say they weren't tired would be a lie. Didn't even the Professor run away in secret?
"Thor, I'll agree on Scott's behalf. We're going."
Jean Grey sensed Scott's conflict and spoke decisively.
"Jean..."
"No need to say anything; I know what you're thinking. Just as Eric said, the Professor chose the life he wanted, so why can't we choose the life we want?"
"No need to fight for survival, no more people dying, and no more losing companions."
Jean reached out to stop Scott from saying anything more.
"Alright, Thor. We'll go too."
Scott's eyes became firm as he looked at Thor.
"Alright, get ready. To be honest, this is my first time handling a large-scale population migration project."
Thor raised his hand and was about to open a portal when he was interrupted by the sound of clanking metal.
"Clack, clack..."
Female Thor, holding her hammer, walked toward Thorstep by step. Her blue and gold armor made a crisp clicking sound.
She took off her winged helmet and held it under her arm.
"I'm going with you. I'll be able to see my sister Sylvie, right?"
Chapter 102: Large-scale Population Migration Project
"I'll go with you, I'll be able to see my sister Sylvie, right?"
Female Thor held Mjolnir, her eyes fixed intently on Thor. Her winged helmet was tucked under her arm, and the metallic patterns on her blue-gold armor rose and fell slightly with her breath.
Thor raised an eyebrow, his tone certain:
"Of course. Maybe Sylvie will even cry when she sees you."
Upon receiving the promise, the tension in Female Thor's muscles relaxed, and her grip on the hammer lightened. She nodded heavily, her voice carrying a hint of imperceptible relief:
"Alright, I'll go with you."
Not far away, Charles watched this scene. Looking at the students and comrades who once held him as their faith but were now choosing to turn and leave one by one, his Adam's apple bobbed heavily.
He subconsciously reached out his hand, his lips quivering as if he wanted to call someone back, or perhaps justify himself.
But of the thousands of words stuck in his throat, not a single one could be uttered in the end.
Lilandra quickly supported his slightly trembling arm, her fingertips gently patting his back in low-voiced comfort.
Her voice was kept extremely low; she didn't dare let out even a shred of extra volume.
Even now, she remembered the magnetic field that had nearly crushed her bones earlier. She knew clearly that in this place full of anger and disappointment, any ill-timed words would only bring deeper embarrassment to Charles.
She never imagined that as the Empress of the Shiar Empire, she would be so easily crushed on this ordinary Earth—and by her husband's lifelong friend, no less.
Before the silence could dissipate, Blink Clarice had already stepped forward.
She traced a deep purple spatial rift in front of her with both hands. In the blink of an eye, a stable portal expanded in the center of the room.
Within seconds, Wolverine Logan walked out first, puffing on a cigar, with Colossus Peter following closely behind. They were followed by dozens of timid Mutant children.
The oldest were only fifteen or sixteen, while the youngest barely reached an adult's waist. Some were newly awakened Mutants, while others were cloned children rescued from laboratories.
Their eyes were filled with unease as they tightly gripped their companions' hands, cautiously observing everyone present.
Rogue Anna immediately went to meet them, grabbing Logan's arm and quickly explaining everything that had happened.
Thor posing as Charles to stabilize the situation, the real Charles having long since abandoned everyone to follow Lilandra to the Shiar Empire.
Cassandra's genocidal plot, and their decision to follow Thor to the Land of Nihility—she didn't miss a single word.
The cigar in Logan's mouth fell to the ground with a "thud."
Adamantium claws snapped out from between his knuckles with a "shing," the ear-piercing sound of metal friction exploding instantly.
He stared fixedly at Charles, who was shrinking back at the very rear. Gritting his teeth, he walked over step by step, each footfall seeming to tread on everyone's frayed nerves.
"Charles Xavier."
Logan's voice sounded like it was squeezed through his teeth as he hurled insults at him.
"You're a real piece of work, aren't you!"
"I've gone through hell with you for so many years! How many times have I crawled back from Sentinel fire and human concentration camps just because I believed your bullshit about Mutant and human peaceful coexistence!"
"Motherfucker...!"
"We're on Earth risking our lives against those killing machines, watching kids die in front of us one after another without even a proper headstone, and you? You just pat your ass and run off to outer space to be a live-in son-in-law?!"
His claws were almost poking Charles's face, the metallic cold light reflecting Charles's pale visage. But Charles only closed his eyes and hung his head, not offering a single word of rebuttal throughout.
The fury Logan had accumulated over decades erupted all at once in this moment.
Unfortunately, no matter how Logan insulted him, Charlesstill didn't say a word.
Logan looked at the consistently silent Charles, finally let out a sneer, and spat heavily at Charles's feet, leaving one last emotionless sentence:
"Old man, this is where we part ways."
With that, he turned and left, not bothering to give another glance.
Colossus Peter watched Logan's back, then looked at the haggard Charles, who had completely lost his former gentle appearance. He remained silent for a long time.
He finally stepped forward and gave Charles a light hug, one filled with a final trace of warmth.
He said nothing. After letting go, he also turned and walked toward the already assembled crowd.
Thor watched all this and said nothing more.
That old bald head Charles had brought this on himself.
He raised his hand and made a swipe toward the void.
A golden rift, a hundred times more majestic than Clarice's portal, suddenly expanded. A circular portal, a full hundred meters wide, stood steadily in the center.
On the other side of the gate was the open space of the Land of Nihility. Clear light filtered through from the other side, and even the wind carried a peaceful aura starkly different from this smoke-filled land.
The moment the portal stabilized completely, Thor's gaze paused.
In the open space across the gate, a girl in a pink and white Lolita dress was holding a syringe thicker than her arm. She was squatting on the ground tinkering with something, her small brow furrowed in serious concentration.
Thor froze. That brat Valeria really was everywhere!
She was absolutely obsessed with drawing his blood!
He then stepped through the portal, walked up behind the girl, and flicked her head with his finger: "Valeria, what are you doing here with your butt stuck in the air?"
Valeria jumped in startle and whipped her head around. Seeing it was Thor, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She shook the large syringe in her hand and said solemnly: "Emma asked me to survey the geology of this open space to see if it's suitable for new residential buildings. I'm taking some soil samples for testing."
Just as she finished speaking, she saw the massive crowd walking over behind Thor. Her eyes widened instantly.
She immediately pulled out a small communicator, pressed it to her ear, and shouted: "Emma! Thor brought more refugees!"
Only a faint "Understood" came from the other side. The next second, brilliant diamond particles suddenly gathered beside Valeria, transforming into a tall figure in the blink of an eye.
Dressed in a sharply tailored white suit with red lips slightly curved, her eyes carried her habitual queenly aura.
The newcomer was none other than Emma Frost. Behind her followed her secretary, Hill, carrying a tablet, walking over with light steps.
Emma's gaze first swept over Thor, then over the vast crowd behind him. She raised an eyebrow and said teasingly: "How's this? You went out once and brought back so many refugees for me?"
"These aren't ordinary refugees." Thor smiled and stepped aside, revealing Magneto Erik behind him.
"They're all old acquaintances of yours. Plus, I've brought you back a top-tier civil engineering master."
Erik looked at Emma and was stunned for a moment. Then he nodded slightly, his tone carrying the complexity of a long-awaited reunion: "Emma, long time no see."
Emma's gaze fell on Erik, looking him up and down before sweeping over the X-Men following him. Her red lips curled into a faint smile as she raised a hand in a welcoming gesture:
"Welcome to Frost City."
Then, her gaze fell back on Erik, her tone flat but brook no argument:
"Erik, tomorrow is your first day of work. Ten in the morning, don't be late. We're expanding the new city here and just happen to need a top-tier foreman."
Her gaze drifted to Lorna beside Erik, and she added:
"Your daughter comes along too. I happen to need an assistant to help keep an eye on the construction site."
Erik was stunned at first, then couldn't help but laugh out loud. Looking at the Emma before him—both familiar and strange, yet still sharp as ever—he asked:
"And how will my salary be calculated?"
Emma glanced again at the white hair at his temples and his eyes, which had weathered much but remained sharp. She spoke slowly:
"I'll start you at a daily wage of two thousand. Prices aren't high here; it'll be enough for you and your daughter."
After saying that, she waved to Hill behind her. Hillimmediately looked down and tapped on her tablet a few times.
Within seconds, one high-tech blue spatial portal after another opened in succession behind the crowd.
Members of the patrol and security teams in uniform filed out, guiding the crowd with efficient but gentle movements. Leading them was none other than Captain Hydra Steve.
At the same time, they initiated the cross-spatial docking procedure, preparing to receive the remaining three million plus Mutant citizens from Genosha.
While everyone was busy with the handover, Valeria, clutching her large syringe, approached Thor again. Her large eyes blinked, looking at Thor with mischievous intent:
"Thor, just let me draw one vial of blood! Just one!"
Thor's mouth twitched. Looking at that syringe thicker than his wrist—with a syringe like that, one vial would take half his life.
Without a second thought, he decisively took a step back and refused righteously:
"No way. If you want a Demon God, I can catch one for you, but this is off the table."
Just as Valeria was about to continue her wheedling, a gentle and clear male voice came from the side:
"Valeria, it seems you're living quite well here."
Everyone looked toward the source of the voice and saw Franklin walking over slowly with his hands in his pockets.
The moment Valeria saw him, she was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She suddenly jumped back, holding the large syringe across her body, and glared at him warily, questioning sharply:
"Franklin! Did Reed send you? Does he want you to take me back again?!"
Seeing this, Franklin shook his head helplessly and spread his hands, his tone carrying the resignation of a fellow sufferer: "No, I ran away too.""}],
Chapter 103: Poor Cassandra Lands on Valeria's Research Table
"You... snuck out?"
Valeria poked Franklin with a large syringe in her hand, still finding it hard to believe.
In Reed's eyes, Franklin was a highly unstable cosmic-level bomb; if his emotions became even slightly agitated, the entire Milky Way Galaxy would explode.
Even Susan Storm didn't agree to let Franklin go out to play whenever he wanted, which showed just how strictly he was supervised.
"Yeah, Valeria, you have no idea how hard it was for me to create a Clone so realistic that it could evade Reed and the others' detection."
"I had to consider their scientific methods and the detection from the magic side as well."
Franklin shrugged his shoulders.
"You know how it is. Every once in a while, he brings Tony, Strange, and those annoying guys over. I even have to report to them how many toys I create every day."
"? Wait! Franklin, didn't you... say the one who came was a Clone?"
Thor looked at Franklin, initially stunned, but then his expression was replaced by a look of pleasant surprise.
Good heavens!
What did it mean for Franklin himself to be here? It went without saying!
Adding in his foolish brother, he was now someone with a background and a powerful backer. Who in the entire Multiverse could cause him trouble now?
Now, even if he couldn't win a fight, he had the capital to call for backup!
"Thor, you were so afraid of me back then. I only said that to lower your guard," Franklin explained.
"So, do you plan to stay in the Land of Nihility, or...?"
Thor looked at Franklin, his eyes filled with longing.
"I'll just stay here. I feel like this place is pretty good. Even Asgard has moved here."
Franklin pointed toward Asgard, which was suspended high above Frost City, magnificent and radiating a dense aura of Divine Power.
"Where did Asgard come from..."
Thor looked up in the direction Franklin was pointing. A floating continent stood quietly high in the sky.
He turned to look at Valeria. "Did you do this?"
"Yeah, I made it for you using the power of the Infinity Stones. Isn't it a one-to-one recreation?"
"Why did you make Asgard?"
"Emma said you might prefer living in a palace, so she had me make it. Oh, right, the City Lord's Mansion has moved up there too!"
Valeria, still persistent, picked up her syringe again.
"See? I put so much effort into recreating your old home. Aren't you going to show some appreciation?"
Thor didn't speak. He turned to look at Franklin, his eyes flickering.
Aren't you going to control your sister!
"I can't control her. If she doesn't report me to Reed later, I'll consider her to have a conscience."
Franklin indicated he was unable to help.
"Ahem... Valeria, I have two good research subjects here. You should recognize them too."
Thor pulled out a shrunken cage from his storage space. One could faintly see lightning flashing inside and two figures screaming in pain.
Valeria took the cage and aligned it with her Personal Terminal, beginning her unique 'unboxing' process.
"Professor X's sister, Cassandra, and Shadow King Farouk?"
"These are indeed excellent research subjects. I haven't been to the Astral Plane to take a look yet!"
Valeria put away her syringe, and the research enthusiasm in her eyes surged instantly.
"I won't take your blood this time. Next time, remember to bring me a Dimensional Demon God."
She reached out and made a swipe in the air. A rectangular, blue spatial portal instantly swallowed her up.
"You really are Reed's children. You're both equally crazy," Thor muttered at the spot where Valeria had disappeared.
"No, don't go labeling me. You wouldn't want to see what I'm like when I go crazy," Franklin joked with a smile.
"True. Let's go. Do you plan to ride a dinosaur there, use teleportation, take a hovercar, or experience the Hulk Launch?" Thor asked.
"Dinosaurs. They're quite rare even in our Universe," Franklin replied after some thought.
"Hey! Steve! Someone over here wants to experience our specialty!" Thor shouted toward Captain Hydra, Steve, who was not far away.
"Ride what?"
Captain Hydra walked over quickly and looked at Franklin.
Franklin pointed at the flock of pterosaurs flying across the sky.
"Alright, follow me."
Captain Hydra led Franklin to an open area ahead. Before long, a pterosaur flapped its wings and landed.
"Thor, where is Sylvie?"
Female Thor walked up at this moment.
"Follow me."
Thor sensed Sylvie's presence and opened a portal.
The two stepped through one after another.
Earth-56723.
In a small town, Sylvie leaned boredly against the table next to the cash register.
She was wearing a standard McDonald's uniform and was absentmindedly poking at a French fry plushie placed by the counter.
"Sylvie, are there still no customers?"
Behind her, a black-haired woman also wearing a uniform looked up at the door while scrolling through her phone.
"No, Alice. Maybe they're just not hungry right now," Sylviesaid casually, glancing at her colleague.
Business was exceptionally slow today; only a few groups of customers had come in around noon.
After all, foot traffic wasn't always high. For a fast-food place like theirs, occasional peaks and lulls were the norm.
Plus, this wasn't a famous tourist spot; overall, it was quite remote.
However, for her, her current life was quite good.
She had fought the Time Variance Authority for half her life. Now, the Time Variance Authority had been destroyed by her and then rebuilt, and its philosophy had changed.
The term 'Time Criminal' simply didn't exist anymore.
No one else would have their life casually ruined by the stubbornness of that institution like she had.
Sylvie walked to the back kitchen, grabbed a bag of fried fries, squeezed a few packets of ketchup on them, and began eating them one by one.
Whoosh—!
"See, I told you she'd definitely be hiding in a McDonald's secretly eating fries!"
Thor's voice rang out from behind Sylvie.
"You... Thor?! What are you doing here looking for me?"
Sylvie had just condensed a dagger with magic. She turned around to see Thor emerging from a portal with a woman wearing blue-gold armor.
"Holy shit! Sylvie! You actually know Thunder God Thor?!!!"
Alice heard the commotion and looked over. Her phone hit the floor with a clatter.
Several other colleagues nearby were also drawn by the noise and walked over together.
"That's Thunder God Thor from the Avengers, right?"
One of the male colleagues spoke up with some uncertainty.
"It is! Look! He's exactly like the photos online!"
Another colleague pulled out their phone and searched online. After a quick comparison, they found no significant difference between the photo and his actual appearance; after all, his recognizability was too high.
"Well, looks like I'll have to change Universes again."
Sylvie wasn't surprised by her colleagues' shock, because eighty to ninety percent of Universes had an organization called the Avengers. The personnel configurations were sometimes the same and sometimes different.
But Thunder God Thor was a permanent member in most of them.
"What do you want with me, Thor?"
She looked at Thor, her face full of questions.
"How should I put this? I ran into your sister in the Multiverse. She kept saying she was looking for you, so I brought her to see you."
Thor moved aside, revealing the Female Thor who had taken off her helmet.
"How... how is that possible! My original Universe was pruned by them long ago!"
Sylvie was stunned for a second upon hearing this, then immediately retorted.
"Sister, you're right. Our Universe is gone. The Queen Mother sensed the crisis in advance and did everything in her power, along with the All-Father, to send me to another Universe. That's how I survived."
Female Thor recounted all this with a look of grief.
"This..." Sylvie stood frozen in place, not knowing what to do.
She had long known she had lost her family, but now Thorhad run over to tell her that her sister was actually still alive?!
The atmosphere remained tense. Neither knew how to speak, only staring at each other in place.
"What are you two women dilly-dallying for?"
Thor reached out his hands, pressing down on both their shoulders and forcing them together.
"If you don't know what to say, just hug. We have to go. I don't want to bicker with this Universe's Sorcerer Supreme."
He opened the portal again and kicked the two of them inside, leaving behind several McDonald's employees filming with their phones.
