I erect a sanctuary around myself. The zombies are battering on it from every direction. I see the shielder struggling to hold the stairway against a hulking figure. The death knight seems to have become a much less sophisticated opponent for Lasting Victory. The goblin general is still fighting fiercely.
A ray of light strikes one of the zombies, and it crumbles to dust. I dismiss my sanctuary and tumble through the gap, then quickly assault the remaining zombies before they can turn around. I destroy four zombies, and another ray finishes the last one.
The death knight loudly groans and hisses. A swordsman from Lasting Victory finds a gap in its armor and puts it to rest.
A roar echoes from the cavern walls; a bear is tearing through hordes of goblins. Countless adventurers continue to bustle.
Behind me, a new threat has entered the scene: a hulking hobgoblin, inspired by its general's call, has pushed the shielder out of the stairway. Countless goblins spill in through the opening. I run to support the shielder.
A ray hits the shielder from behind. I keep running to support him.
"Get out of the way!" I look behind me to see a great ball of fire. I dive out of its path. It whizzes by toward the staircase, and explodes.
Shrieks sound from the staircase as the flames engulf the creatures within. The shielder is unharmed by the fire. The hulking hobgoblin is badly burned, but remains determined. It clutches the shielder's shield and spins several times, then launches the shielder away. Goblins pour out of the stairway.
