Just as the fragile calm settled over the battlefield, Rudra's expression changed.
His eyes narrowed, and a sharp pressure rippled through his mind.
A voice echoed inside his consciousness.
"Have you lost your mind, Rudra?"
The furious voice of the Elder Supreme Kai thundered through telepathy.
"If you awaken Beerus, fear will be carved into the hearts of gods forever. The truth is… the one I sealed inside the Z Sword long ago… was Beerus himself."
Rudra stiffened.
"That is why you must not wake him from his slumber," the Elder Kai continued, his voice shaking. "Do you understand me? Do not awaken Beerus. Ever."
For a brief moment, Rudra remained silent.
Then suddenly, he shouted aloud, his voice echoing across the ruined sky.
"Elder Supreme Kai, don't start crying in front of me now!"
The Z Fighters flinched.
"When I begged you for help to stop Cell," Rudra continued angrily, "you were trembling in fear, weren't you? Where was your divine pride back then? What happened now? Did the name Beerus scare the hell out of you?"
The moment those words left Rudra's mouth, realization struck everyone.
Vegito's eyes widened.
"He is talking telepathically… with the Elder Supreme Kai."
Vegeta clenched his jaw.
"You asked him for help?" Vegito demanded. "And he refused?"
Vegito turned his gaze toward the sky, as if the Elder Kai stood before him.
"Why, Elder Kai? Why did you not help when the universe was at stake?"
Inside the Sacred World of Kai, the Elder Supreme Kai fell silent.
Then, slowly, his voice returned. This time, it was stripped of authority.
"Because… I lied."
Shock rippled through everyone listening.
"I am not a powerful god," the Elder Kai admitted bitterly. "None of us are. We are all of the Glind race. Born in the Demon Realm. Created not to rule… but to watch."
His voice trembled with humiliation.
"Our entire existence is that of guards. Guardians standing before a gate that almost no one ever comes through. Watching mortals grow, fight, and die… for all eternity."
Vegito clenched his fists.
"My ego…" the Elder Kai continued. "That is why I lied. I claimed I was the strongest being in the universe. Because mortals like you did not know about Angels. Or Gods of Destruction."
His voice hardened again, turning cold.
"There are many truths you still do not know. That is why I say this, Rudra. Sacrifice yourself for the universe. Die quietly. Without awakening Beerus."
The words echoed cruelly.
"Do you understand?" the Elder Kai finished. "That is your role."
Rudra burst into laughter.
A loud, mocking laugh that cut through the tension.
"It seems your pride still hasn't died," Rudra said calmly. "And honestly, even in your dreams, you could never defeat Cell."
The Z Fighters stiffened.
"You probably thought your magic could handle him," Rudra continued. "But even you know the truth now. This new Cell is beyond anything you imagined."
Rudra's voice sharpened.
"So shut up. Sit back. And do what you have always done."
He smiled coldly.
"Watch."
The Elder Supreme Kai fell silent.
For the first time, he had no reply.
Cell, who had listened to every word, began to laugh.
A deep, echoing laugh filled with amusement and disdain.
"How fascinating," Cell said. "Gods who look down on mortals, yet tremble behind ancient lies."
His eyes gleamed with ambition.
"But do not worry," Cell continued. "Once I become the strongest being in this universe, I will take the role myself."
Vegito's eyes widened.
"What?"
"I will become a God of Destruction," Cell declared proudly. "And I will handle destruction properly."
His gaze locked onto Rudra.
"So enough talking."
Cell spread his arms slightly, smiling like a king awaiting his throne.
"Take me to the place where Beerus sleeps."
The wind howled around them.
Rudra stared at Cell, his expression unreadable.
Far away, on a distant planet wrapped in silence, something ancient stirred once more.
The universe itself seemed to hold its breath.
