Things wrapped up with the terrorist case and everything went back to normal. Well almost everything.
Eker was taken to the hospital that same night and the doctor found that he had a high fever which required a one week rest. This doesn't mean that Yanyi will be taking another week off. No no.
Instead she took half day work for a week.
Since she had promised to lay out the case and leave the report to Luyao, she ended up spending the first few days explaining to him what he needed to do for a formal report to the Imperial family.
Her routine would consist of her coming to work. Settle some leftover documents and then leave the steps for Luyao's settlement case. Went back home.
Today is just the same. "For now, just use the Ryuichi official seal. Emperor Dylan will understand." Yanyi states while grabbing her coat off the coat rack. "Going home?" She nodded.
"Want me to send you back?" She smiled while shaking her head. Appreciating the gesture from Luyao. She still has to go to the grocery store to stock up their fridge anyway.
Luyao — "How's Eker?"
Yanyi — "A bit better. His fever went down a bit last night. Just have to monitor his diet and sleeping schedule then everything would be normal."
Luyao — "That kid put everything he got to stop that guy huh."
"A nice kid for sure." The atmosphere got a bit tense. That is when Luyao decided to break the silence with an unexpected question. "They didn't find the body, right? What are you going to tell the Crown Prince?"
Yanyi was momentarily stunned but it didn't stay long. She had long known and felt that Luyao had learnt that they had other motives coming here. And she appreciated that he didn't pry too much into it.
"Probably just mention it briefly. Not sure what to do next though." Luyao didn't drag it further and bid her farewell.
Her steps move towards the station gate and soon enough out of the premises. She called for a carriage and ride to the grocery store. She can't really tire of a certain friend any longer.
Irene has nothing to do as of now since her internship has ended. Now she just rotes away at the house.
Joking.
She is currently using her morning hours to take care of Eker while Yanyi is out on work. Then after she returned, she would go out with Kazuto.
Speaking of which, that guy had been beaten to a pulp twice in a row for a big case. It came to a point where he had requested a 2 months vacation from Marquess Ryuichi. Sensing and seeing his only son's battered look yet again, he approved of his leave.
Irene and Kazuto would go out every single day without a miss. Apparently they had made a promise and a plan on creating an orphanage to specifically save abandoned children from the dark alley.
They had been utilizing all of their meetings to think about their plan about the orphanage and who shall run it. Even comes to a point where Irene would not return until after midnight.
Apparently this orphanage they plan is not like any other orphanage. This is also acting as a rehabilitation center for the children. The temple also has an orphanage but there are two major issues with them.
The overpopulation and the fact that they would be receiving children and not searching for them.
There are other orphanages too but most of them would turn away around the alley as they would not want any bad apples among them. Twisted but it's understandable.
After all most of the children in the dark alley all came from families that literally escaped the rehabilitation center and became a stow away. Getting pregnant and didn't want to take any responsibility.
With this new orphanage, they plan on not only rehabilitating the children of their trauma but also giving and securing them for education and future jobs. Luyao would be the most beneficial person of this project.
What they are doing currently is visiting different old abandoned manors to see whether they are good enough for renovation. Irene and Kaazuto have visited many sites and are currently trying to narrow it down into a few.

Irene is in the kitchen, cleaning up the dirty dishes from the breakfast. Eker had woken up late and just had his breakfast. She didn't get angry as everyone in the house knew that he needed a lot of rest.
That is when the knocking came from the main entrance in front of the living room. "I'm home." The voice of her friend emerged from her chores.
"Welcome back. You bought the groceries?" To which Yanyi placed down the two bags on the dinner table and slowly took out all of the items inside. "Everything for the week. Some extra for Eker's meal plan."
While both of them are arranging the items to their respective places, Yanyi asks about Eker's overall condition as of this morning. Irene gave her a brief summary of how things are. He had woken up a bit late but finished his porridge.
He also takes the medication just on time.
That is when Irene starts to mention something about the Xue holiday manor. It nearly left her ears if it weren't for the word "check up."
Since the manor is not widely used, the family of the butler has been given permission to stay over and take great care of the manor. "Apparently news travels fast and he came to ask whether he could be of any use to you."
Yanyi — "..."
Irene — "I don't have the right to say anything, so I simply told him to wait for your response."
Yanyi — "What are your thoughts about him?"
Irene notices that his friend is wavering. To trust or not to trust. Irene didn't want to dive deep into this whole ordeal and give her honest opinion. "I don't think that he got that news from your father. In fact, I have an inkling that the old man is genuinely worried about him."
"..."
"He has yet to be ordained into the family, right? By norms, someone associated with your family would not be concerned about someone that is not a part of the family."
"But he cares…"
"That means that he genuinely wishes for both of you. Not the family. You and Eker as an individual."
"Sigh…" She let out a heavy sigh before limping down on the couch. She has made her choice and Irene is glad to see the change in her. "Welp. If there's nothing else, I'll be taking my leave now. Need to survey 3 properties today."
"Send my regards to that guy." Irene nodded. Soon enough the main gate closes as the house is laced with silence.
"Have some free time today. Might as well visit the temple to get his Rin checked up." She muttered to herself before moving to the bedroom and slowly getting Eker ready for their visit.
.
.
.
It took a while to get to the temple but they arrived at last. At least before 3 o'clock. Yanyi, still carrying Eker, went over to one of the front gate guards who instantly knew who she was.
She didn't dillydally and requested for an immediate appointment with one of the available priests. Without further ado, the guard immediately went over and informed the temple workers. Yanyi decided to find a well shaded area and wait for her call.
Not even 30 minutes of waiting a temple worker had already come and fetched her. Instead of bringing her to the clinic house, he was guided to the highest floor of the temple. Specifically a place that is only accessible to the High Priestess of the Temple.
"High Priest Keith insisted on being the one to attend to you, m'lady and had instructed me to immediately fetch you to his office. Sorry for not informing me beforehand."
She didn't make much of a fuss with it. She didn't mind a brief meeting with the High Priest anyways. After all they all have nearly the same objective anyway.
After the worker knocks a gentle male voice with a hint of cheer reverb for her to enter. Upon entering the door, she is greeted with the sight of a very energetic and happy High Priest Keith.
"Lady Yanyi! It is a pleasure to meet you in person." His tone with joy reverberated as he bowed down in courtesy. Yanyi sends off the same level of smile before casually walking towards the couch situated at the center of the room.
Yanyi — "Is the High Priest Bouqin around?"
H.P Keith — "Mhm. He'll need to grab a few ingredients for you. Is this your little brother? The one that has been circulating the Volenix news a couple of months ago?"
Yanyi — "Yes. His name is Zhang Eker. Still need to be ordained but that can wait."
H.P Keith — "Is his fever going down?"
Yanyi nodded as she slowly brushed away the sticky strands of hair away from the little guy's face. He still lacked energy and needed to rest. Probably not even noticing that they are at the temple today.
"I was wondering if you could check his rin amplitude. He just got elated and used his signia without proper Rin training for emergencies. Then he went to a high fever."
High Priest Keith sat beside her before slowly raising his palms before the Eker's sweaty forehead. Bright light starts to emit from his palms.
The once furrowed brows of the little guy are now no longer. His face starts to calm down as he snuggle closer to Yanyi's embrace.
"His Rin amplitude is building up but twice as slower than normally." High Priest Keith started as he gently patted the little guy's head. The fact that he didn't flinch from the unknown touch is more to say that he is comfortable for now.
H.P Keith — "It's normal for high use of Rin in a single time. However, with it coming from the little guy, thankfully he didn't use all of it at once."
Yanyi — "Your recommendations?"
H.P Keith — "How long does he need to rest for his fever?"
Yanyi — "The doctor prescribed a week of rest. He still need to rest for 4 more days not counting today."
Just as she finished talking, the side door of the room opened and in came High Priest Bouqin. A much more reserved and calm man. Also, I didn't speak much.
When his eyes met with Yanyi, he gave a slight bow before making his way to the sofa across from her and High Priest Keith. "How is the little guy?" He said in a monotonous tone to Keith.
Probably the only person that he is willingly speaking to.
Aside from official duty.
High Priest Keith explains Eker's condition and High Priest Bouqin proceeds to place down the ingredients that he had collected while he was away. "These are the ingredients for Rin amplification tonic. A mild one." High Priest Keith explained on his partner's behalf.
Yanyi took a look at the ingredients and realized that it was the normal tonic that she would take whenever she is heavily tired from training with Devion. The only difference is the amount of ingredients.
"Just put one extra half a cup of water into the mixture. It should dilute the tonic enough to be mild." High Priest Bouqin said briefly about the instruction. Yanyi nodded and delivered her thanks.
H.P Keith — "Notwithstanding the next 4 days, he requires at least 2 weeks of no training and or heavy duty."
H.P Bouqin — "It allows his body to adapt and refill his Rin to its normal and the highest level it needs to be."
H.P Keith — "And only after it is fully filled will he be able to again start training."
Yanyi — "Thank you, High Priest Keith, High Priest Bouqin. I'll keep that in mind."
"Hopefully nothing else happened to the little guy. He really did his best to deal with that man, didn't he?" Yanyi was taken aback momentarily before she took a peek at High Priest Bouqin to get a bit of confirmation. He nodded.
So not only is High Priest Keith a Rin-sil. He is also a Lumi user. His ability must have at least have to do with reading a person's past. After all, the only thing that is not being mentioned in the official report is Eker's involvement is stopping the culprit.
Those records will be read by many people in the future. For his sake, Luyao, Yanyi and everyone agreed to not put his name in it directly. His name however will be made known to the emperor when Yanyi wrote to Devion.
Speaking of which, she had already taken everything that was needed and already on her way home.
.
.
.
After dinner.
Yanyi had bathed him and fed Eker dinner before tucking him into bed. She had also called the holiday manor and agreed with their proposal. Stating that only the head butler is allowed to come and care for Eker.
She explained how he is permitted to care for him for the next three weeks. He is required to come tomorrow afternoon after lunch so that Yanyi may brief him on what he will do.
After tomorrow, she will leave the afternoon care to him and continue to work full day at the station. After receiving an affirmative answer, she bids her farewell and thanks before ending the line.
Next is her routine letter to Devion. Not much to say but it is required to mention a few things that are not in the official report. Which will be delivered and done tomorrow evening.
'Dear Lyon,
The news about the terrorist attack should have reached the capital by now. No need to worry, no casualties occurred. I may have been in the crossfire but I am okay.
I have nothing much to say as everything that you need to know about the attack will be included in the official reports. Just read that.
There are a couple of things that I want to tell you.
First, which you are required to send to the Father, is that Eker, my adopted little brother, is involved in the finale of the attacks. Let's just say that he nearly off someone.
The second thing is about the whole agenda. Luyao had already realised that me and Irene aren't here for just the sake of being here. He knew that we had another agenda and were communicating with you. However, no need to worry. He doesn't seem to be encroaching too deep into our problem. Not only that, I have also mentioned that whatever we are working on will not be private forever. So just be ready with the reveal okay? Okay.
Third is a new one. So far we have two uneasy clues of the weird things occurring here. Add one more. Irene mentions that when she tries to retrieve the body from the lake, the body vanishes into the water. As if the person itself is an illusion. If you can research that, it would be wonderful.
I think that is it. So yeah. See ya.
Remember, high grade seed for Willow only. Don't let Luciel pick the seed. He's stingy.
P.S: Luyao will write the official reports. Not me.
Sincerely, your Rin-Sil.
Licia'
