Chapter 4 - The Meeting

"Where am I, what is this place?" I asked holding my temples as my head wss still throbing from the pain of overusing that power.

Is my body really so fragile or did I overuse that power, "Using that power with that ruined body if use is really reckless brother." only then did I begin to see the figure of a woman with beautiful curly metalic silver hair and beautiful amber gold eyes dressed in a blue high waisted fitted gown with bustle layers which were adorned with emeralds and rubies around the waist and a beautiful topaz necklace. She wore a small smile on her face that was mixed with concern and happiness. How long was I asleep and what happened in that time and why is she here "What is you are doing in my room at this hour." I asked instictively

"Eman Pollux Intisar al-Marid - del-Boaz greets his imperial highness the crowned prince Alhaari Sefu Khalid al-Marid- del-Boaz." she said with a slight courtesy beforre returning to occupy her seat once more "We are alone little one, so tell me why you've come to my humble abode at these ungodly hours and where is my valet[1] his the only one allowed in my room when I am asleep ?" I asked getting up from the stifling bed and quickly making my way towards the chest of drawers where someone had left a glass of water "The Majlis has stripped you of your government title of Supreme Commander and seeks to remove you as a candidate for the throne since their attempts to strip you of your noble titles was shut down by his majesty himself." as she said and I couldn't help but chuckle. "This is not a matter we should take lightly brother." A gleeful voice sounded from the door way of my room and the little light revealed a man with black dreadlocks and ultramarine blue eyes wearing a gold colored waist coat which was accompanied by a very worn down blue frock coat with embroidery of lightning and trees, it wasn't the worst thing he'd worn "Junaid what can an ant do to an elephant, do you honestly expect me to tire myself every time a worm pokes it's head out of the ground, must I draw my blade everytime I hear a bee buzzing?" my barrage of questions seemed to catch the twins of guard "Even a single ant can bring down an elephant when a chance arises, you are far to lax for someone who is about to lose the seat of heir." I heard Karim's voice from near the door "I can understand these two being here but why are you here Karim?" he brushed my question off walking towards the centre of the room near where Eman was sitting "Do you truly not see what trouble we are in, Grandpa has to make a decision regarding what you should be after this event." Karim announced "Is She involved?" my question which came out colder than I expected seemed to hang in the air as the three exchanged looks of worry and concern "No one is certain if she is involved." Junaid who seemed to have sober upped answered hastily.

I walked from my position near to the three seats that were almost always empty now occupied by all three of my unwanted guest. I took the glass which layed alone on the coffee table and poured myself a bottle of Scorch which has been laying as an ornament in my room for quite sometime.

"If I come to know she is involved then civil war is unavoidable" I said walking towards my bed making and jumped on top of it with my legs crossed "I need to find what made me faint barricade tha door." I said taking a deep breath opening the Arcanum the core and tool for regulating and distilling the toxic impurities of mana found in the air. As I took my second breath I felt a warmth like energy known as Arcana filling my chest and moving through the internal channels for magic use called circles, ge'ez circles or rune circles (depending on the continent or region you are from) and as the Arcana moved through the 10th and last circle I felt a tinge in my chest as though a needle was stuck in between my heart and my lungs poking at them I felt as my body begin sweating giving me a warning to stop and stop I did slowly opening my eyes to see the three intruders sleeping in such uncomfortable conditions with the creeping sun rising slowly illuminating the once dimly lighted room.

"Did you find out what the problem is?" Karim inquired as I'm admiring the rising sun "Yes and no." I said getting up from the bed and stretching my arms and legs and opening the windows "That is not an answer to my question Alh." he replied swiftly looking at me with those eyes of his that told you he wanted know. "It's the same problem the two divinities along with my contract to the Spirit king of darkness is causing my body to break down." I said simply "The contract how is it a factor in this?" He asked skeptically making sure to keep his voice down "Don't you find it strange that I'm still alive?" I asked with my eyes intensely focusing on the slowly rising sun. "I was supposed to die at the moment of my conception. We all know it so why did I not, children born from two apostles[2]die at conception so why did I live for not 1 or 2 years but 41 years?" I asked simply ad i loomed at golden rays of the sun creeping up from beyond those mountains.

"What is going on now?" Eman asked her voice full of cracks and her eyes still squinted "Will the servants not find it strange that you three are are here at these early hours of the morning." I asked her moving away from the windows towards the wardrobe "We willing discuss this at a more appropriate time." I said as my voice lingered around the word more making sure the two awake ones knew what I meant.

"Guess we'll see you when we break fast your Imperial highness. Sōvt'ara." Karim said as he raised his hand ushering a fog of black smoke to appeare behind him which begin swallowing him from behind removing him completely from the space that is my room. "What will you two do?" I enquired still standing in front of the wardrobe, the twins or atleast tge twin that seemed most awake looked puzzled as though I'd asked her to walk to the marketplace and unveil herself for all to see, "Do not look lost sister you and our dearest brother can not be trusted with anything your lack of interest in other studies magic except battle magic of course makes you unsuitable to use other forms of magic in short sister if this were a battlefiend you'd be the first 1 I call for." I said keeping my voice strongly neutral, "Your Imperial highness what is the punishment for assassinating the crown prince?" She asked with her hands curled into fists and hee amber gold eyes blazing with fury. "That would be public execution." I replied bluntly. "Then pray my brother that you have nine lives." and before I could process the weight of her words I felt the air around me tighten around removing my ability to breathe as her hands moved in a clockwise manner "Perzsad!" I mustered the strength in me creating a ball of fire that seemed to knock her back and breaking her concentration.

"Silent casting." I muttered whilst panting for air "You noticed I feel special even after being insulted." she replied with that fake cheery voice she liked using when she got one over me. "You know one should never let their guard down just because their opponent is incapacitated or appears so." I said as I took a deep breath whilst the Arcana gathered around my chest and brain area and that oh so familiar feeling returned as the Arcana moved like river streams through my arms and to my hands gathering what an invisible psychic force that moved as swift as the wind which seemed to wrap itself around her causing her eyes and nose ooze blood successfully knocking her down "Know your place little sister there us a reason I am heir." I said walking over to her half conscious body which seemed to be bleeding from the nose "Junaid Castor Ahmed al-Marid-del-Boaz I know you are awake stop pretending and take your sister to her room." I said looking over at the young man with black dreadlocks, who's ultramarine eyes shot open as he heard what I said "You could've been more gentle." I could feel the bloodlust from his stare.

"It seems you want my head now." I asked looking him with the corner of my eye. "I never engage in battles I know I cannot win." his eyes seemed to be withdrawing all hostilities as he said that.

"We will leave now." he said picking up his unconscious and the same veil of black smoke gathered around him and without wasting time he bearded the smoke disappearing with it.

As soon they departed the room felt silent like the essence had just been sucked out of it leaving a dirty and quiet room with only myself at the centre. I looked over the mess surveying how I'm too explain this to grandfather.
