Later that evening, after Daniel reached home, his phone rang just as he stepped out of his car.
It was Henry.
"Boss, Collin visited his aunt," Henry informed him.
Daniel hummed in response, his expression unreadable. "Keep eyes on the place. Do not approach. I want to know who else visits."
"Yes, boss."
Daniel ended the call and gave a few more brief instructions through a message before slipping his phone into his pocket. His mind was already working through the implications. Collin was moving openly now. First Norma. Now his aunt. Either he was desperate, or he was planning something bold.
Daniel climbed the stairs and pushed open the bedroom door absentmindedly, still thinking about strategy.
The moment he stepped inside, his thoughts scattered.
His eyes widened.
The phone in his hand nearly slipped from his grasp, but he caught it just in time. Slowly, almost mechanically, his gaze lifted.
Anna was standing near the bed.
