Chapter 91 - The Wake in the Story

The first thing I noticed after waking was that the world had an echo.

Not sound. Not even thought.Just something faint, a repetition in the air — like the world was practicing how to exist again.

The light filtering through the clouds looked the same as it always had: soft, pale, unobtrusive. But when it touched the stone around me, it left a faint shimmer — as though reality hadn't decided on a texture yet.
