Chapter 13 - Chapter 13- The Ultimate voltra

The chapter began in a quiet, hospital-like facility. Lothar lay unconscious in a recovery room, his body wrapped in bandages, the faint hum of healing machines surrounding him. Outside, King Jugram and Zuko stood with Light and Hikari, the air heavy with unspoken questions.

Light finally broke the silence.

"Dad… what was that power?"

The King's eyes lingered on the closed door to Lothar's room before turning to his son. His tone was calm but unwavering.

"It's a transformation possessed by Hybrids. It awakens through relentless training and powerful emotions. Very few across the four kingdoms can achieve this state. Those who do… are said to wield Ultimate Voltra."

Zuko glanced at the King but kept his thoughts to himself.

Yes… what the King is saying is true. But Lothar's case is different. His Voltra is on another level entirely. Even among the Ultimate Voltra users I've witnessed, none possessed this kind of power.

Hikari studied the King closely, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.

So that's the King's strength… but how did he stop Lothar so easily? And what was that sealing-like technique he used against him?

The King's gaze shifted back to Light.

"Those who awaken such a power… they are the ones capable to become kings."

Light fell silent, his thoughts drifting as he stared through the window toward Lothar's room. Memories of the Kaiju battle flashed in his mind—his own helplessness, his failure to protect anyone. A wave of doubt washed over him.

I was completely useless back then. If I stay like this… I'll never become king.

He clenched his fists, then turned and walked away, determination smoldering in his chest.

Hikari caught the subtle tension in him. She could feel it—Light's envy toward Lothar's growing power.

Karl's voice was sharp, almost mocking.

"So? What now? Your Kaiju's been defeated, and Lothar's power is way beyond anything we expected. Do you really think you can capture him?"

Veylor's reply was calm, almost too calm.

"We'll leave Lothar alone for now. Our focus shifts to Hikari."

Kael frowned, frustration clear in his voice.

"Capture Hikari for now? Okay but how? What's the plan? You got more Kaijus? Because let's be real—I'm just a human. I don't have any voltra powers. I can't fight that draekor girl."

Veylor's eyes glinted with a cold, confident light.

"No I don't have another humanoid Kaiju. But from kaijus bodies, I've crafted something new—suits and weapons designed for humans. Tools you can use to fight."

Back in the hospital room…

Lothar stirred, his breathing uneven. His body was pale, his muscles twitching from the strain of his transformation. Hikari and Zuko entered with the King, their footsteps quiet.

Hikari gasped when she saw him. "He's… in worse condition than I thought."

The King's expression was grim.

"His Voltra was immense. The strain tore his body apart from within." He turned to Hikari. "Heal him. Use your Targeryan abilities."

Hikari nodded firmly. Placing her hands over Lothar's chest, she channeled her radiant power. A warm glow spread across his wounds, mending torn flesh and soothing his damaged body. Slowly, color returned to his face, and his breathing steadied.

Lothar's eyes fluttered open. He looked around, dazed.

"Where… are we? What happened to the Kaiju?"

Hikari's eyes narrowed slightly. He doesn't remember…?

The King placed a reassuring hand on Lothar's shoulder.

"Do not worry, Lothar. The Kaiju has been defeated."

Zuko, watching from the corner, frowned. His eyes lingered on the King.

Why lie? It wasn't us who defeated the Kaiju… it was Lothar himself.
