Getting the Espers to leave wasn't as hard as Brent thought it was going to be.
They were apparently rather shaken, so when Brent waved his gun again, that seemed to scare them enough that they left through the hole that they had made in the front of the building. Brent really thought he was going to have to do a lot more, in fact, he knew that Esper Parker and Esper Gardner also expected that they would have to do a lot more as well.
They were both shocked that they didn't have to do more. Both were prepared, but considering that the leader had to go get his wound treated, maybe that was why they didn't put up much of a fight? Or they were going to report to Brent's brother. Probably both.
