Li Xing looked at Chu Yunyi across the table, her brows slightly furrowed: "The color of this outfit really doesn't suit you."
Chu Yunyi loosened his collar, revealing a tired, slight smile: "Really? What a shame, I thought I was versatile."
Li Xing wanted to laugh, but the corners of her mouth curved before flattening back.
"Why did you come?"
Chu Yunyi had a faint vertical crease between his brows, adding a brooding quality to his handsome face, giving Li Xing an urge to reach out and smooth it.
"With me here, no one dares to bully you."
Although Li Xing was always independent, it didn't mean she wasn't moved when someone was willing to sacrifice for her.
The thing Chu Yunyi should be doing most now is enjoying his remaining days, yet he joined the army he disliked most for her, dealing with people he absolutely loathed.
This mess left him with little time for himself, and perhaps he wouldn't even have a chance to truly see the world.
