"Yes, your mother referred to Mr. Brunswick in a way one would address an elder, which doesn't sound like the rumored prospect of marriage," Catherine's Mother hesitated again before saying to Sean Lowell, "But at that time, upon first meeting, it wasn't appropriate to ask too private questions."
