On the morning of July 28th, just after six, Yi Chichi finished packing all her dormitory belongings. Qiu Yu stood at the door, "Really leaving today?"
"Yeah."
She nodded, "I'm heading to the station directly in a bit. Could you please hand these packages to Uncle Ning and ask him to send them to the island for me?"
"Have you cleared it with the manager?"
"Yes, I have."
Qiu Yu agreed without hesitation. If it hadn't been settled, she might have hesitated. Since it was all arranged, she had no reason to refuse.
As they were talking, the sound of a car engine approached.
Looking back into the yard, a jeep drove in. She wasn't sure of the model; Yi Chichi had no expertise in vintage cars, but it looked quite novel.
Aside from seeing such cars in old movies and in her uncle's black-and-white photos, this was her first time seeing a large jeep in person in this life.
