Jesse Jennings's face turned even paler.
This news was even worse.
It meant he was directly given a death sentence by Mark Moody over there.
He wasn't clear on how terrifying Mark Moody could be, but Mark's public persona was also that of a CEO of a listed company, so it would be easy for him to deal with an agent like Jesse.
Trying to curry favor with Mr. Moody by framing Thea Shaw earlier had that intention embedded in it.
Who knew Thea Shaw would act so swiftly?
Now Jesse Jennings regretted it immensely.
Realizing he had offended both sides, he figured he might as well hold onto one side tightly, so he hurriedly looked at Thea Shaw with pleading eyes: "Miss Shaw, I've done as you instructed."
But unfortunately, Thea Shaw didn't play by the rules and was well aware of his schemes. She smiled nonchalantly: "Mr. Jennings, you've made the most reasonable choice, which proves your conscience isn't completely gone. May your conscience save yourself, Amen!"
