Why is it that in every story, the manager is always a fat guy?
Thea Shaw pondered a bit.
It's not that she judges people by appearance.
But the eyes of this fat guy in front of her flashed with a kind of light—extremely discomforting.
That light was particularly directed at Thea.
Thea immediately thought to herself, do you not know your place? Someone with my level of beauty, do you dare provoke?
Among the three of them, Thea was actually the most composed. Both she and Aurora Sutton were hiding their identities for the internship, but Aurora Sutton was still a bit of a pampered lady at heart. She felt particularly uneasy upon seeing this manager and didn't respond immediately. When Rowan Donovan hesitated, Thea spoke first.
"We're from the management department."
Her voice was calm and crisp, without any discernible emotion.
Most colleagues around who came for lunch looked over.
Some had a look of watching a show in their eyes, but most appeared subtly uncomfortable.
