He was questioned repeatedly by people who seemed to come out of nowhere, to the point that he didn't dare to go to the hospital anymore and could only take a long leave to stay at home.
But home wasn't that peaceful either.
His wife of many years sat across from him, staring intently at him, with a look of accusation in her eyes, as if he were some heinous criminal.
The director cleared his throat, repeating what he's been saying these past few days.
"I really don't know where she lives."
"She didn't leave us any information."
The director's wife looked at him with disappointment.
"What on earth is going on with your hospital?"
"Why didn't you even keep the basic information of the patient?"
The director sighed helplessly.
"Didn't we hear someone was pregnant at the time? The nurse got too excited and forgot to ask the girl to swipe her identity card."
Without that, they wouldn't be in this situation of not knowing her identity even now.
The wife also sighed.
