Caleb Lockwood felt something was off the moment he walked into his office today.
First, it was Alvin Lee. As he passed by Caleb, he gave him a sympathetic look and said, "Ah, how does that saying go online? Falling in love is not as good as building a career. Dr. Lockwood, a breakup is no big deal."
He then sighed heavily, "You have to stay strong."
Caleb paused, his hand on the mouse, eyebrows slightly furrowed. What was this guy talking about?
He looked up slowly, his deep black eyes meeting Alvin Lee's, his thin lips parting slightly: "Still half-asleep? Talking nonsense."
Alvin Lee was about to speak when Director Thorne walked in. The director suddenly approached Caleb, patted his shoulder, and earnestly said, "Caleb, a breakup is no big deal."
"In our department, we've all been there. Whatever you do, don't get too down about it. If you're really feeling bad, you can take a couple of days off. Don't bring your emotions to work."
