Serena Sutton was sitting on the toilet when she heard him ask that, and she spoke up a little embarrassed: "Can you help me buy something?"
"Just some sanitary pads, and… forget it, you go buy first." She had originally wanted to ask Caleb Lockwood to buy her a pair of underwear to wear inside.
But the moment she remembered he was a grown man, she got too embarrassed to say it.
Caleb Lockwood nodded, turned around, and strode out.
Once he stepped out of the apartment, he froze again. What kind is he supposed to buy? And what was that thing she wanted to say but didn't? If he doesn't buy the right stuff, will she get mad?
Caleb thought for a bit, his brows tightly knitted, then started toward the neighbor's door. He stood outside Granny Summers's place, hesitating, not sure how to bring it up.
He raised his hand to press the doorbell, then suddenly put it back down. This doesn't seem very appropriate, does it? Won't it be super awkward?
