Out of nowhere, the sky darkened. Thunder cracked, lightning split the heavens—then a terrifying surge of crimson energy crashed down from above.
That sticky red-black power slammed straight into the young Nine-Tails, and all of Konoha shuddered as if the village itself could feel the weight of it.
The air thickened with a violent red aura. White bone-like armor began to creep across the beast's body, giving it a ghastly, nightmarish form.
From its mouth, scarlet vapors leaked out, each breath carrying waves of savage power.
"This is enough… but my pain will always surpass yours!"
Pain's expression twisted with rage. He slammed a fist into the ground, sending chunks of earth flying as the battlefield split wide open.
Dark water gushed up from below, flooding the field in an instant.
"Go!!"
Standing on the water's surface, Pain charged toward the Nine-Tails, his speed so great his figure blurred.
The beast's tails lashed out like burning red whips, snapping through the air at terrifying speed. Pain dodged again and again, slipping across the water, but the tails grew longer, stretching until one reshaped itself into a massive red hand reaching to seize him.
He darted away, bounding to a boulder as the crimson appendages coiled around it like vines.
Suddenly, the sky lit up. The Nine-Tails spat a barrage of searing red orbs straight at him.
Tails rose from below, energy rained from above—Pain was caught in a deadly pincer.
He leapt higher, shrouding himself in dark energy, shielding against the storm of red blasts.
A smirk curled on his lips. "Hmph. That all you've got?"
But the next volley was stronger, fiercer, drowning the battlefield in crimson fire.
BOOM—BOOM—BOOM!
Explosions rattled the earth. Pain backflipped away, but the shockwaves caught him, flinging him back dozens of meters.
He steadied himself, voice echoing across the chaos.
"Not bad… not bad at all."
The Nine-Tails, its body plated with bone, glared back at him.
Far away, Sakura hugged herself, her arms trembling. "This chakra… it's just like back then. What's happening to him?"
A branch member of the Hyūga clan spoke urgently. "Lady Hinata went to save Naruto!"
Sakura's eyes widened. "No… don't tell me…"
Pain launched another attack, sending blasts of black energy to shatter the boulder above the beast's head. The massive chunks of stone crashed down, pinning the Nine-Tails beneath.
Seizing the chance, Pain conjured black rods and hurled them. They pierced the beast's body, unleashing a torrent of fire that roared across the water, spreading flames in all directions.
But then, the necklace around Naruto's neck shone with a green-blue light, chains of energy wrapping around the beast.
The Nine-Tails howled, shoving its claw deep into its own chest. When it pulled back, it clutched the glowing pendant.
Pain narrowed his eyes. "A sealing technique?"
The beast crushed the pendant in its claw. The light shattered—gone in an instant.
"The seal… it's broken!"
With a roar, the Nine-Tails burst free of the rubble and landed on the water.
"It's coming!!"
In a blur too fast to track, the beast vanished. The water surged like a tidal wave, racing toward Pain.
"Too fast!" Pain spun, trying to find its figure.
Tails cracked like whips, smashing down. He blocked with his arms, but one tail shattered the very rock beneath his feet.
Pain shot upward. His voice thundered:
"Shinra Tensei!!"
The shockwave tore across the battlefield, water spiraling into a massive whirlpool.
But a crimson arm punched straight through the storm and seized his head.
From below, tails erupted from the earth like red swords, lashing at Pain's legs.
The Nine-Tails forced its way through the barrier of repulsion, one massive claw gripping Pain's skull. He blocked with his arms and countered with a brutal punch.
The beast screamed, fury shaking the air.
"This can't be—you withstood Shinra Tensei?!"
The force hurled Pain like a ragdoll, sending him crashing into a distant mountainside. Stone crumbled as he was buried beneath tons of rubble.
Back in the real world—
Sasuke stared at the vision, stunned. "Naruto's… a monster. A monster with power beyond terrifying."
Kakashi's brow furrowed. "It's out? The Nine-Tails…"
"And not just out—he already has six tails. How do we stop this?"
Every ninja in Konoha paled. Memories of the last Nine-Tails attack flooded back—the death, the fire, the countless lives lost. Many had lost parents to that beast.
Angry eyes turned toward Naruto. "So he really is the demon fox…"
The Third Hokage appeared, quelling the unrest. "Enough! The Nine-Tails inside Naruto is sealed. Remember—what you're seeing is Naruto fighting for Konoha's future. One day, he will master that power… and become this village's guardian."
Naruto's eyes, once shadowed with despair, flickered with hope.
Meanwhile, in the Digimon world—
On Dark Tornado Mountain, the Clown King trembled as he watched the screen. "That red monster… its strength surpasses even Ultimate forms. What kind of nightmares does this other world hold?"
The massive head of Machinedramon tilted in agreement. "We can only hope they don't interfere with the Dark Masters' rule."
Their minions shivered, terrified by the vision.
Back in the flooded battlefield, the Nine-Tails rose from the water. It lifted its monstrous head, gathering orbs of dark crimson that floated upward, swirling into a single sphere of glowing violet energy.
From the rubble, Pain's hands burst free. Energy flared from his body as he ripped the stone apart and charged.
"Banshō Ten'in!!"
A boulder launched through the air, slamming into the beast mid-charge.
But in the next instant, the crimson sphere detonated like a nuclear blast.
The sky turned red. The battlefield vanished in fire.
A hurricane-force shockwave ripped outward, sending Pain flying.
Konoha's shinobi froze, staring up at the blood-red heavens, their eyes wide with horror.
The firestorm faded slowly, leaving only rolling clouds of white ash drifting across the ruined field.
Sakura's voice broke the silence. "Naruto… what's happening to you?"
A Hyūga clansman whispered: "Six tails… his back sprouted six tails."
"If this continues, he'll become the full Nine-Tails."
Sakura's face drained of color. "Six…? That's even more than before!"
"Lady Katsuyu, send word—we need to evacuate everyone immediately!"
On the battlefield, the beast's tails shredded the last of the rubble, bone and chakra armor pulsing with power.
Pain turned and retreated, but the crimson monster was already racing after him.
