The Elder Kai stared into the void of space, his voice grave."That explosion just now… it came from the collision of Goku's aura and Lord Beerus's unmatched ki!"
"That kind of clash creates energy with an impossibly high density. If it had detonated fully…"
He swallowed."It really would've been the end of the world."
Back in the battlefield, the power between the two warriors refused to yield. No matter how hard they pushed, the balance held.
Then Beerus snarled, his patience finally snapping."You've got guts, I'll give you that… but I'm starting to get bored!"
His aura surged violently, pressing down on Goku like a storm. The crushing winds roared against him, but Goku gritted his teeth, refusing to give in.
Suddenly—BOOM!
The power between them exploded outward, blinding everything in white. Entire planets across the universe were swallowed in the flood of light.
Moments later, the brilliance slowly faded. Earth still stood, untouched.
In space, Goku was panting hard, sweat dripping down his face.
Across from him, Beerus lowered his aura, calm as ever."I just erased every trace of energy in this place."
Goku's eyes went wide."No way… that's impossible!"
Beerus's gaze was cold."Possible. As long as you pour in one hundred percent."
The Elder Kai was stunned speechless."So even then… Lord Beerus wasn't fighting at full strength?"
Flames of red divine power licked across Goku's body. He smirked."Didn't think you were still holding back."
Beerus's expression stayed cool."Wouldn't it be pathetic otherwise? I'm a god. If I needed all my power just to beat a Saiyan, I'd rather die of shame."
His golden eyes hardened."That's what I thought before. But now… I won't let myself lose this fight. Embarrassment, ridicule—none of that matters anymore."
"I'm going to crush you into dust… and prove I'm stronger by far!"
Goku laughed, relaxed despite the tension."Then bring it on."
Beerus steadied his emotions, eyes narrowing."You're still smiling? I'm not joking around."
"You're either too calm… or you've got some kind of trick up your sleeve."
"Nothing at all, Lord Beerus," Goku grinned.
"You're a strange one," Beerus muttered.
And then the god blurred forward, fist colliding with Goku's.
In an instant, Beerus vanished and reappeared behind him, launching a flurry of attacks. Goku, caught off guard, took several hits and staggered back, blood at the corner of his mouth.
"This is way too dirty…" Goku wiped his lip.
Beerus only smirked."Guess you're easy to distract."
The two vanished again, reappearing with fists slamming into each other's faces.
Goku winced but laughed."From the bottom of my heart, I've gotta respect you. The power in that punch… it's nothing like five minutes ago."
Beerus's eyes narrowed."And your power keeps climbing, too."
Goku leapt back to create distance.
Beerus roared, his aura flaring."Fine then—this is one hundred percent of my power! Take it!"
He vanished, reappearing with a devastating kick that cracked against Goku's jaw, hurling him skyward.
Goku twisted midair, steadying himself, then shot back like a rocket."Then try mine, too!"
The two clashed again, fists colliding faster than light.
Beerus's speed became overwhelming. His fist slammed into Goku's stomach, and he followed with a blast of destructive energy.
But to his shock, Goku's own power canceled it out.
Before Beerus could react, Goku grabbed his head and slammed his forehead into him.
CRACK!
Pain rattled through Beerus's skull."Let go!" he barked.
But Goku kept headbutting, one after another."Take this!"
With a burst of force, Beerus shoved them apart. Both fighters reeled back, clutching their heads in pain.
Beerus roared in anger."Headbutts? That's the lowest of the low!"
Goku laughed through the ache."Yeah, but it works!"
"It doesn't!" Beerus snapped.
"Lord Beerus, you just can't admit it," Goku teased.
Snarling, Beerus lunged again, and the battle raged on.
Their speed grew sharper, their blows heavier. And deep inside, Beerus felt a chill."He's breaking past his limits again… this Saiyan keeps getting stronger mid-battle! Forcing me to use this much power… damn him."
Goku smirked, unfazed."Talk too much and I'll bite your tongue!"
With a sharp kick, he sent Beerus flying.
Other Worlds Watching
Soul Society.Aizen sat upon his throne, staring at the vision before him, disbelief on his face."Gods… do they really exist?"
On the screen, the unimaginable clash of the Super Saiyan God and the God of Destruction played out in raw force.
"So this universe… it really has deities of that level. Their power… it's beyond anything I could've conceived."
Ulquiorra spoke quietly at his side."My lord, these two are far beyond us. Their strength is on a scale we can't even imagine. They won't trouble our world."
Saint Seiya.Shaka of Virgo snapped open his eyes."So this is divine power? Incredible. I thought myself the closest to godhood… yet the gap is overwhelming."
The Pope rose in shock."To think there are gods like the Super Saiyan God and the God of Destruction… it defies belief."
One Punch Man.Saitama blinked, for once at a loss."They're strong. Like… really strong."
Fairy Tail.Natsu stared dumbly."Goku just keeps climbing higher… he's fighting that God of Destruction on even ground. That's insane!"
Digimon.The Four Dark Masters trembled."So that's divine power…? Stronger than anything we've ever seen. Even our so-called guardians couldn't compare."
The mechanical dragon roared, voice shaking.
Back to the Fight
Suddenly, Beerus noticed Goku's aura flicker. The fiery divine red faded—he was no longer a Super Saiyan God, just a Super Saiyan again.
Piccolo and the others immediately felt it too."I can sense his ki again… wait, does that mean—?!"
Whis nodded calmly."You guessed it. The time limit has expired. Goku's reverted to a normal Super Saiyan."
Goku charged anyway, fists blazing, but his blows bounced uselessly. Beerus didn't even bother; a single finger flick sent Goku flying.
"Don't you get it?" Beerus said flatly."Our little party is over."
But Goku wasn't ready to stop. He roared, rushing back in, fists hammering wildly.
Beerus dodged lazily—until one strike actually connected, smashing against his face.
His eyes went wide."The power of a Super Saiyan God?! But how? The limit ended!"
Goku blinked in confusion."Uh… what?"
Beerus frowned."Look at yourself. The godly aura's gone completely."
Only now did Goku realize his energy was purely that of a Super Saiyan."When did that happen? But… I don't feel weaker at all!"
He looked at Beerus, serious now."Do you know why?"
