Spring of Year 28
The snow had long melted, and the first blossoms of spring painted Konoha in soft hues of pink and white. The air was crisp, fragrant with plum and cherry blossoms, and the village buzzed with anticipation. Today was a day of celebration, not for a mission completed or a rank achieved, but for something far more personal and profound.
The Uchiha clan was hosting a grand wedding: the union of Uchiha Eisuke, the young clan head, and Asami, his longtime partner. It was a momentous occasion, not just for the couple, but for the entire village.
Unlike the quiet, tense ceremony years ago when Sosuke was named clan head, this wedding was different. Representatives from nearly every clan in Konoha had arrived to celebrate. The courtyard of the Uchiha Gourmet Restaurant, now expanded to accommodate large events, was filled with laughter, conversation, and the clinking of porcelain dishes.
Even Senju Hashirama and Senju Tobirama had come, accompanied by their families. Their presence alone was a symbol of how far the Uchiha's relationship with the village had come.
---
The courtyard had been arranged with care. Rows of chairs were set in two groups, divided by a four-meter-wide path that led directly to the ceremonial platform in front of the restaurant. All seats faced the same direction, toward the heart of the celebration.
Asami stood at the center, dressed in a white and red ceremonial uchikake with the Uchiha crest embroidered proudly on her back. A delicate veil covered her head, and her posture was serene and dignified. To those who knew her well, the transformation was striking. Asami was well-known for her cheerful and mischievous nature among Uchiha, often teasing her friends and laughing freely. But today, she radiated a quiet grace, almost noble in her bearing.
Beside her stood Eisuke, clad in a black high-collared kuromonpuku, his hair combed back to reveal a rarely seen forehead. He looked every bit the future clan head of Uchiha; composed, proud, and stiff-faced just like his father Sosuke.
The ceremony proceeded smoothly. Vows were exchanged, hands were joined, and blessings were given. When the final words were spoken, Uchiha Eisuke and Asami were officially declared husband and wife.
---
As the crowd applauded, Senju Hashirama stepped forward, his smile as radiant as the spring sun.
"Hahaha! Congratulations, Eisuke and Asami! Being husband and wife is a whole new adventure. But I'm sure you two will have no trouble building a happy family together!"
"Thank you, Hashirama-sama," they replied in unison, bowing respectfully.
Tobirama, standing beside his brother, offered a more reserved nod.
"You've both grown. Marriage is not just a personal bond but also a symbol of unity. May the unity between you two remain everlasting."
One by one, clan heads and villagers approached to offer their blessings. The line stretched long, a testament to the goodwill the Uchiha had earned.
---
As the formalities ended, the guests dispersed into smaller groups, mingling and enjoying the delicacies prepared by the restaurant. The air was filled with the aroma of grilled meats, sweet sauces, and freshly steamed rice. Laughter echoed across the courtyard, and children darted between tables, chasing each other with paper fans.
Among them sat Uchiha Shinichi, now a genin, enjoying the moment with his younger brother Kaito.
"Look, Niisan," Kaito whispered, tugging at Shinichi's sleeve. "Asami-ne looks so different. I can't recognize her. She must be a body double!"
Shinichi chuckled, patting Kaito's head.
"Kaito, today is Asami-nesama's day. She's the protagonist of this event. One day you'll understand."
Kaito tilted his head, unconvinced but curious.
As Shinichi watched the crowd, Uchiha Kagami approached with his fiancée, Uchiha Komei. She was nineteen, with dark brown wavy hair cascading down her back. Her formal kimono was elegant, designed to complement the bride without overshadowing her.
Their wedding was scheduled for the following month.
"Congratulations, Niisan!" Kagami grinned, embracing Eisuke. "You finally married!"
"And you too, Asami-neesama," he added, bowing respectfully.
"Hahah, Kagami!" Eisuke laughed, returning the embrace.
Komei bowed gracefully.
"May your union be blessed with joy and strength."
Asami smiled warmly.
"Thank you, Komei. I look forward to your wedding next month."

Later, as the sun dipped lower in the sky, Tobirama stood at the edge of the courtyard, watching the mingling guests. Hiruzen joined him, a cup of tea in hand.
"It's peaceful," Hiruzen said.
"For now," Tobirama replied.
He glanced toward Shinichi, who was no speaking with Kagami and Komei.
"They're the future," Tobirama murmured. "Kagami… Shinichi… If guided well, they could be the bridge we need."
Hiruzen nodded.
"They're already close. Kagami respects Shinichi deeply."
Tobirama's gaze lingered.
"Good. Then perhaps the seeds we've planted will grow."

As the sun began to set, lanterns were lit across the courtyard, casting a warm glow over the celebration. Musicians played soft melodies, and the laughter continued.
Shinichi sat with Kaito, sharing a plate of grilled eel and rice.
"Niisan, do you think you'll get married like Eisuke-niisan?"
Shinichi paused, then smiled.
"Maybe. But not for a long time."
Kaito nodded solemnly.
"Then I'll be the flower boy!"
Shinichi laughed.
"Deal."

The wedding of Eisuke and Asami had begun to wind down.
Lanterns glowed softly across the courtyard, casting warm light over the mingling guests. The laughter had mellowed into quiet conversations, and the scent of grilled meats and plum wine lingered in the air.
Senju Tobirama stood at the edge of the gathering, arms folded, his gaze steady.
He wasn't watching the bride and groom.
He was watching Uchiha Shinichi.
Shinichi sat with Kaito, gently guiding his younger brother through the etiquette of formal events. He greeted elders with respect spoke to other clan members with poise, and exchanged words with Kagami and Komei with quiet confidence.
Tobirama observed the way others responded to him.
There was admiration and Trust.
Even among non-Uchiha guests, Shinichi's presence drew attention – not because of arrogance, but because of his calm, composed demeanor.
'He's young. But he carries himself like a leader.'
Tobirama's eyes narrowed slightly.
'He's not just brilliant. He's stable, grounded, and unlike many Uchiha… he listens.'
Shinichi reminded him a mix of himself, his brother, and of Madara.
Tobirama's thought drifted to Hashirama.
His brother's health had been declining. The vitality that once radiated from him now flickered like a candle in the wind. Hashirama still smiled and laughed, but Tobirama could see the fatigue behind his eyes.
'His end is nearing.'
And with it, the last thread of peace between Senju and Uchiha might unravel.
Tobirama furrowed his brows.
'We need something stronger than treaties. Stronger than reforms.'
His gaze returned to Shinichi.
The idea came quietly.
Not as a demand or a scheme, but as a possibility.
'Perhaps a marriage alliance. Between Senju and Uchiha. Between Shinichi… and someone from our clan.'
He could tell. It is a bold and controversial move.
But it is a symbolic move.
A union that could finally bury the feud that had haunted both clans since the warring States Era.
Tobirama considered the candidates.
There were few Senju women of appropriate age and standing was….
His thought came to a halt.
'He is only 9 years old now… we still have time to think about this… perhaps a discussion with the clan first…'

The wedding of Eisuke and Asami was more than personal celebration; it was a symbol. A sign that Uchiha were no longer isolated. That the village could come together not just in battle, but in joy.
As the stars emerged overhead, Tobirama looked up at the night sky.
"The world is changing," he thought.
But tonight, in the heart of Konoha, there was peace.
And that was enough.
