*Kristina's POV_
The Taddy Pacling creatures screeched and rushed toward the warrior mermaids. As they did, they transformed into half-fish, half-women—mermaids. Only they retained their grey colour. No fishtail colours were copied.
"They're coming toward us!" Ivy shouted. "Draw your swords and spears!"
They obeyed and took battle stances. She then looked at me.
"Dianne and Bella, keep watch over Purple Tail. Don't let her escape," she commanded.
Dianne and another orange-tailed mermaid, supposed to be Bella, turned to face me.
The creatures drew closer.
"ATTACK!"
They charged.
Bella and Dianne drifted toward me.
For a moment, I wondered why I wasn't willing to run away.
As Ivy and the others clashed with the unarmed Paclings—slicing them into pieces—Dianne drifted closer to me, and I pointed my sword at her.
"I mean you no harm," she said, raising her hands. "If I were you, I would've utilized the magic weapon by now and sprinted away."
"I'm also wondering why she isn't thinking so," Bella said, sheathing her sword at her waist.
"It's not… it's not safe," I replied, unsure of myself.
"Would you like some escort?" Bella asked, smiling.
I looked at her, confused.
"My sister and I could..."
"—assist you," Dianne finished closing her on her chest.
'What were these two up to? Can I even trust them?' I thought.
The sword in my hand shimmered and transformed into a wand.

Ivy swung her sword and sliced another Taddy creature in half. It disintegrated into grey matter. That's how they died. She looked around at the chaos—swords swinging, spears piercing.
They were winning.
Then her eyes caught a scene that wasn't supposed to be in the 'script.'
A blue-tailed mermaid named Lilly punched a Taddy creature with open hands, zapping it with pure lightning. Blazing electricity pulsed through the creature, and it disintegrated into grey smoke.
Lilly turned,only to see the remaining four Paclings watching from afar. They nodded in unison.
"Nooooo!" Ivy screamed. "What have you done, Lilly…?"
The warrior mermaids had just finished off the others, only to face four more;each of them now with crackling electricity dancing around their grey hands.
Lilly was the first to react. Of course to cover up her mistake.
She let go of her sword and shield and punched her hands forward, releasing two lightning bolts at one of the creatures.
It copied her exact movement and released two lightning bolts from its grey hands.
The attacks collided midair. An energy explosion erupted.
"Damn," Lilly muttered. "So that's how they do it."
The warrior mermaids gasped, frozen in shock.
"How do we fight them now?" one asked.
But Ivy had run out of ideas.
The Taddy creatures noticed their hesitation and drifted toward them lifelessly, like robotic mermaids.
"I'll fight them alone," a voice said.
They turned. It was another blue-tailed mermaid with brown, curly hair.
"Oh,super speed against electricity," Ivy said with a smile. "Why didn't I think of that? Are you sure about this, Suzzy?" No reply came.
Suzzy inhaled sharply and dashed forward, snatching Ivy's sword in a blur.
One of the creatures saw a flash of blue—then felt its head separate from its body.
Another fired a stream of electricity at her.
Suzzy rolled and twirled in her sprint. The lightning bolt grazed her back. She zoomed in and sliced the creature in half.
She then glided upward and threw her sword horizontally at the third Pacling. It fired currents of electricity at the spinning blade—but it didn't stop it from being cleaved in two.
Suzzy twirled once more and flapped her tail, gaining a sudden burst of speed. She caught the flying sword and embedded it straight into the last Pacling's chest.
But she made a mistake. A mistake that would cost her pride and life.
After driving the blade through it, she stopped—standing proudly in front of it, like a Hollywood hero.
The Pacling smiled.
It launched a lightning bolt straight into her chest.
Ivy and the warrior mermaids gasped as Suzzy was hurled toward them like a cannonball.
Ivy rose to catch her, but both of them tumbled backward, crashing onto the ocean bed.
The Pacling laughed hysterically, the sword still lodged through its chest. Then it charged, using Suzzy's own supersonic speed towards them.
Just as it prepared to unleash a destructive electric wave,a mighty golden trident tore through its head down to its tail, slicing it in half.
The creature disintegrated into a powerless grey form, electricity crackling uselessly around it.
The warrior mermaids looked up.
Floating above them was Poseidon, the Sea God.
They bowed instantly.
"I am looking for a purple-tailed mermaid with a magic weapon," his booming voice reverberated through the water with grace, power, and authority. "Have you seen her?"
Ivy and the warrior mermaids slowly turned to one particular direction.
They gasped in fear.
Kristina, Bella, and Dianne were nowhere in sight.
